Offering Spawn Rate: The current spawn rate is working as intended, providing enough Offerings to guarantee one per Trial while still allowing players to build up a reserve. With the previous issues now fixed, the current rate is slightly higher than for last year's Event, and Auto-Bloodweb and Bulk Bloodpoint Spending now prioritize the Offering.
Tested this out and it simply isn't the case. The issue isn't fixed. The auto-bloodweb and bulk BP spending do not prioritize the offering. Also what is "slightly higher" ? Gotta love the vague phrasing here. Is it 0.01% higher? 0.1%? Because it sure seems like it, I spent 5 million BP to test this nonsense out, and it is still not working as stated.

I've been taking a very LONG break from playing DBD, just perused the forums from time to time, because I wanted to speak the only language BHVR understands: you don't get my money any longer. Especially not after so many of the horrendous changes over the past couple of months.
I came back to play it only because this is the 10th anniversary, was supposed to be big and fun, but to see this:We will be decreasing the rarity of the Event Offering to Common in the bugfix patch coming next week, reducing the Bloodpoint price of the Offering in the Bloodweb.
We know this may differ from previous Events, and while the changes are intended and reflect our vision for future Events, we understand the frustration. However, this isn't meant to be any less of a celebration!Really? The economy IRL is #########, and you're bringing the same nonsense to your game? Giving less BPs whilst raising the prices of items, offerings, add-ons etc. WHILST adding more and more survivors and killers.
It's genuinely as though you guys as a company have decided to add enshittification to your own game. Chappeau! You can look forward to seeing the above quote for as to why I uninstalled your game, again, and for good. Never thought DBD would turn into a pick-me whatwith being the only game on Steam that sends you an entire questionary when you uninstall it.
Here's an idea: don't pretend to listen to what people are saying, but take actual action in making more people wanting to play your game, listen to constructive feedback. Make new players feel like they have a shot and should want to play your game, because it can be fun and fair for them as well.
-
This has been asked/mentioned several times for months now, what happens is a mod moves said posts to the feedback category or w/e, and then it gets forgotten forever like the rest of the posts there.
They prob just don't care

This truth hurts a lot of these simpletons 🤣 Your comment is the most intelligent I read all month so far no joke.
I think that OP most probably is meaning well with their post, because it seems like they still trust companies/BHVR, and are taking things at face value. That being said, the Devs could've done the very same stream but with a different title like "Long CCTV footage of", "Long mysterious stream", or any other title that would've let us know the stream was going to be a long one, and shown their community and our time a bit more respect.
That is not to say that I don't fully understand that everyone could leave the stream at any given time, but it's the blatant disregard and assumption that we will accept anything and go 'thank you' that is bothersome. Especially this coming after the news around PS5, and what other (gaming) companies have done and are doing, plus the growing usage of sleazy tactics against paying customers. It's tone-deaf, and frankly comes across like they're laying groundwork and trying to change people's attitude into accepting mediocrity and less, even though we're all paying customers here. So I genuinely hope that this isn't a preset for such behaviour/actions (from the Devs/BHVR) in the future. -
GTA 6 will be out before this stream finally ends 🤣
-
THIS is your bar for better reveals, better clues, and cryptic videos??? The bar is in the Mariana trench huh… just wow.
No wonder companies have started to throw anything and everything at their paying customers, and fully expecting to get away with it because people are eating everything up and saying "thank you for giving us less" LMFAO

I think I'm seeking some mythical midpoint. I want to play the game as intended, do some chases, win some mind games, make clutch hits with my power, but also recognise a moment worth reacting to and be a bit goofy.
Maybe EU servers are just not sweaty at all though, with over half my recent games having the issue of people refusing to play the game to a varying degree. I don't want to be a miserable sweat, but fitting in games around my job is hard, so mathcing into games like this so often is kinda killing the game a little. That's fair, though I think it's wanting too much from DBD lol. I play on EU servers, and most matches are sweaty as heck. In comparison to NA / AUS servers, Eu is very sweaty.
-
I only have this happen if I'm playing as S.T.A.R.S./RE4R Wesker / Ghostface. Which honestly I get and don't mind as much any more. I will play the game normally until the end and then try to be silly, moonwalk, let them get a few pallet saves etc. I know how sweaty games on my servers usually are, so I don't mind being a chill killer lol.

I mean is playing with a claudette that refuses to do anything other than hide for hatch fun for you? Like honestly I was mostly joking I just won't be expecting people running those builds to help me when I'm hooked or get on gens more than they need to to get rid of AFK crows.
I'm a little confused which of the two separate topics of yourself, you're discussing here. I'm going to assume the second in regards to seeing teammates' perks. I haven't paired with teammates who play like that in ages, it's not fun, but at the same time IDK if that person is new to the game or experienced. IDK if they're doing a Daily / Archive challenge. So as unfun or frustrating that might be, I try to keep those options in mind, because with DBD you never know.
At the max the game lasts what 8 minutes? Maybe occasionally longer if you get really unlucky, but that is just par for the course. Would I want to have spent that amount of time in lobbies, with people constantly dodging them instead? No. At least in-game I can do stuff, earn BP, and do challenges. -
@Lorelei_Albrecht_TTV said:

Which is why I said that coms are unlikely lol. But I have some hope being able to see the lobbies perks is a W. Much easier to dodge lobbies with people running rat builds lol. So there's hope but it's slim unfortunately lol.
Yes, I read your entire post, I know. I was just explaining why, since that is what the devs have said over the years, it wasn't an attack on you or a slight.
As for you broaching an entirely different topic: that is exactly why they wouldn't want to add that to lobbies or in a way that would allow for people to just keep dodging and extending waiting times even more. You went from discussing adding more communication tools (something that would be helpful) to just you wanting to abuse info to dodge teammates/lobbies (something that is counterproductive).
-
I get the sentiment and frustration, but you still have 3 people left in the match. It can be winnable or at least some can escape the match if they try. Or get hatch. You never know unless you try.
A lot of people on my servers are running Convintion, Expo, Unbreak, Deliverance. I have had David's WGLF perk chronically in my survivor build for months now, just because of how much killers like to slug, well they can then eat their time being wasted and eat an endurance hit when they do that, and more often than not my teammates and I get away and do escape 🤷♀️ at the very least you will always earn a lot of BP, so that is always a bright side.
But if you don't care for any of that then yeah IDK. Best of luck! -
They will probably add it in 10 years or something. I think it took the game 7 to 8 years before the HUD information was added so SoloQ teammates could have a bit more information about their teammates' whereabouts/actions. 9 years for colourblindness and other very basic and common settings to be added to the game.
I don't think they mind adding it, it will probably just be in typical BHVR fashion where it is going to take them an unreasonable amount of time (years) to implement such basic changes.
As for comms, I think one of the big reasons they didn't want to add it in general are the different servers across different counties with so many different languages being spoken and how it can't be moderated. Not everyone speaks English, nor likes to. But pinging or gesturing really shouldn't be an issue.
-
I can post many more screenshots, but I think these say enough. Every single match it's the same, all pumps spawn close to one another, quite far from the blood gens, and guess what everyone and their grandmother is running Ruin in combo with either Thrill/Undying or DMS/Thrilling Tremors and so on. And DMS is bugged it forces you off even when your gen doesn't have the most progress and hasn't exploded. So by the time you get back to a bloodpump across the map and back to the blood gen, ruin has effectively killed most of your progress.
This event has been one of the most killer sided events, and after an already miserable 2v8 with an Oni that was chronically in power, this one just goes to show that the devs to not care about the player experience whatsoever. The only good thing about this event is that I've versed more Billy's than I had in a while. That's all. Bless you Billy mains.

I understand what you're saying, but Rokku expanded it to the risk of killers being reported entirely for fully well-intentioned farming. What you're describing is clearly reportable as griefing, because if everyone is terrorizing one person that's clearly what that is.
I don't know if "lucky" is the word I'd use. My matches are just a different type of bad My last survivor session included both a Twins and a Krasue repeatedly slugging and not hooking anyone until they had all four players down or people bled out. My matches involve endless hard tunneling and slugging for the 4k, or killers who are so aggressive my teammates DC and the killer still has zero mercy for me. I wish I could get some friendly or farming killers.
I don't think anyone is going to report a killer who farms and lets everyone go. Nor do I think that it's as "risky" as you guys make it seem out to be, considering the people at BHVR would have to go over such reports and judge for themselves, and if what you're saying was the case, then it's not reportable nor an issue. Thus it would be dismissed.
As for getting slugged and hard tunnelled, that's just today's DBD. Which is a bit sad. -
@cogsturning said:

Yeah that's clearly not what Rokku and I were talking about here. That's not being friendly if you're targeting someone. The concern was it being reportable and getting genuinely friendly killers into trouble.
I've also never once had what you're describing happen, either to me or someone else in the match, nor would I participate in griefing a teammate because they don't want to be involved. I've had people who don't want to interact with the shenanigans but the killer has always just ignored them. I can't even recall the last time I had a killer that wants to farm.
You are responding in a thread I made, and since you're not understanding the situation that I described and was talking about, that is why I'm addressing you to set the record straight about the actual subject matter of this post. And not what others are trying to make it into.
Also just because you've been lucky not to experience such a horrendous game, doesn't mean that your experience is universal. If it was, I wouldn't have made this post. But I already got my answer from Mandy. -
Just play the game.
If they DC or die early match by throwing I'll go easy on the rest and wrap it up as quickly as possible.

Could you imagine being banned for this? The occasional friendly killer is an absolute joy between getting tunneled and slugged every other match. I've never done a full-on farming match as killer, it's just not my thing, but I love having friendly interactions with survivors who got a raw deal because their teammates DCed or sandbagged. I don't know if I'd want to play without those nice moments.
Being treated badly because you refused to participate is different, but I've never seen that happen. When someone doesnt want to be involved, they just sit on gens and leave.
Could YOU imagine doing 4 to 5 gens, while your teammates refuse to do anything but run around and just drop pallets or fill cans with blood and leave them for the killer to kick repeatedly for 20+ minutes, then they rat you out and body block you, get you downed repeatedly until the killer kills you or slugs you and bleeds you out? How is that being friendly? How is that fun or fair? It's not.
When I posted this question I had 3 matches like that in 1 day, hence my post. IDK what was going on that day but it was miserable and I just wanted normal teammates and a normal match. I don't mind farming or being friendly AT THE END of a trial, but when you get targeted and can only choose between either eating the DC-penalty OR sitting through all of that, yeah I will 100% clip them and report them. -
@ChaosWam said:
I get so many complaints, survivor or killer, about playing 'too serious' and whatnot, or playing against/with people who ARE way too serious and toxic in endgame chat that when I get lobbies like this… I'm fine with it.
I'd rather have a goofy farm session every once in awhile to break up the monotony.I'd rather have a normal match. I don't appreciate wasting my time doing 4 gens, only to get cornered by 3 teammates and the killer at the end, and get killed as the only gamer, just because I didn't want to run around for 20+ minutes to throw all the pallets, get downed, heal up, get downed again, get hooked, farmed, hooked and repeat. Besides because there is right now a BP event more people are doing this right now.
@Mandy said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/465917/forced-to-farm
That is reportable yes, especially if it's survivors and killers working together to farm and you want a normal match and are being forced into the farming.
Personally when those things happen, I try to do the gens, get out of the match as quickly as possible - farming is not fun. It's a super grey area though, but its definitely reportable.
Thank you, that is all I needed to know.

+1
This is still an issue and it has been for a month now.
-
Some people stay around for it, some don't. I think it is a bit about being respectful towards the free time someone has. Most who have a couple hundred hours in this game, have seen all the mori's a couple of times at the very least, so they might just want to go next as soon as possible. Others might want to avoid endgame chat, and leave asap.
If I'm playing with friends, I too will move on asap just because I don't want to make others wait, nor do I personally care to see an animation I've seen a lot already again and again. Some of them even make me physically uncomfortable like for example Plague's, Clown's and Bubba. Whether that is due to their mori or just the sounds they make. Keep in mind that not everyone will respond in the same manner to different things. So if I have the option to skip it, I will. Same as tabbing out whenever a survivor is hooked, so I don't get deafened by their loud screams.
It is to each their own, but at least we all get to have the option to choose what we want, and that is fair to everyone involved yk.

Oni instadown is ofcourse better than hillbilly as he is not going to be in power whole match not even in 2vs8. If survivors play smartly you can limit his power a lot. Hillbilly has his power available all the time.
The thing with Billy is that against him you can at least dodge his chainsaw, like there are counter-plays against him. Which is why I absolutely love versing Billy's. Especially the ones who only M2. Just GOATs. Only M2-ing, curving, and getting insta-downs? Well played man. Those gamers get all my respect.
Oni's hits in 2v8 however, especially on bad servers, don't have much counter-play. Hence why I personally don't like versing him.
-
For legendary I'd say @Mooks they have always been helping others from what I've seen whenever I've been on here.
There was also one person who always shared their artwork (mostly of Spirit), they should be on here as well, but I can't for the life of me remember their name.
-
IDK if you missed out on one of the most famous Dev streams, where it was explained that kills = skill = win. Escaping = winning. Do I agree with that mindset? Absolutely not. But sadly the game doesn't reward you for skillful plays, in fact most of the tactics that did require skill have been nerfed over the years.
To give you an example: a survivor that loops the killer for multiple gens, but yet got face-camped to death wouldn't get much BP nor would it count as a 'win', even if all their teammates got out. Then we finally got anti-camp, but that still doesn't work in the end-game (which is really fair) but the fact remains that if that person on hook dies, it will equal to a lose as per the game. Their MMR will drop. If you get hatch, it won't count as a win. If your MMR keeps dropping, you will be paired with players who might've installed the game 2 days ago, and you're just stuck in a vicious cycle. Unless you SWF.
As a killer if you hook every person twice, and get 1 kill. It won't count as a win. And so on and so forth.
The issue is the total sum of what you realistically can do versus all the other elements of the game that you don't control, but can massively impact your gameplay. Be it teammates of different skills / mindset. Be it the map you spawn on. The RNG of the maps. If the game rewarded you for more than escaping/killing (this in regards to MMR), then skillful plays would also factor more into winning conditions, and feel more rewarding because they quite literally would be.
I remember before the increases of lockers and the proper placement of them, it was awful to play Dredge on certain maps. So to put all of it just on the community? No, I don't agree with you on that one.
You reap what you sow. This state of the game might be exactly what the devs want: a scale that is always tipped in one way.
-
Unhooking in the killers faces, resulting in you immediately getting downed and hooked again. Or they don't unhook at all and you get to see 5 teammates either stand still, run back and forth, do a totem/chest, pat pat each other or hide in a corner while the other 2 are in chase, and after you've hit second stage and are two seconds from being dead, that's when they unhook you in the killer's face 🫠 so yeah, would definitely not recommend soloq-ing in 2v8.
The other is them having forgotten the pain that was getting 3-gend.
-
Going against Oni is beyond frustrating, he is almost always in power and has his dash ready, not only that you can't even stealth against him since killers now have chronic aura reading + the fact that your blood orbs give you away. The fact that they made it so easy for him to turn is just basically the killer playing on cruise control. You can't 360 him or dodge him, and that is not to forget how awful most servers we're being put on are, so the killers always get the hit-validation even if you have stunned him, or are 6 meters away from a window.
Give me Nurse, Billy and Blight ANY day.

almost spit my drink seeing that LOL. That is absolutely wild xD
@ OP it's not just in 2v8, this has been bad for quite a while now and it is a bit disappointing that there is no mention of it from the devs. On my own servers I have between 28-30 ping, but sometimes will still get paired up against killers with 100+ ping and they get hits that should just not happen.
As for 2v8 for some reason rubberbanding is also back in full force 🫠
Does anyone here play on VPN to get on better servers? And if so, what is your experience with it? Does it help at all or?

Gosh I'd love it if they did! Lady D / Heisenberg would be amazing, Heisenberg's power alone has so many different directions you can explore. He would destroy gens from afar or heck even the gate lol.
I'm still keeping my fingers crossed we get Chris' skin from RE8, Ethan, Alex Wesker, Sherry Birkin, Krauser, Hunnigan, Jake Wesker, Luis Serra or Excella! They have so many great characters. Would love to see any of them tbh.

Exactly. a lot of the fanbase for DBD loves the Resident Evil Series so it would be a smart move if behavior capitilizes again and collabs with capcom for another chapter of Resident Evil.
Honestly at least DBD does, which I'm very grateful for. Unlike Capcom themselves. IDK why they don't do more… they could make their own version of a coop versus games with all the characters they have (a little similar to Left 4 Dead 2 versus mode, and could absolutely give their own twist to it!) Also don't get me started on the severe lack of official Wesker merch 😭 so thank goodness for BHVR for giving us more RE
-
Yes, two blatant ones on EU and AUS servers, and one that was just too suspicious.
As you can see in the picture I wasn't being mended by anyone nearby, everyone cross the map was kept in a similar fashion and couldn't move. The second one was opening the gates at 8 gens. The third one was a killer moving and finding me in a spot they really would have no idea nor reason to look at, I hadn't left scratchmarks, wasn't exposed or anything, and it wasn't 'game sense' either, yet they moved as though they could see through walls.
-
From what I've seen, they mostly do it due to gameplay:
Survivors who get tunneled or slugged to bleed out DC.
Killers doesn't like the map (eg Billy on RPD) and DCs. Or they're trying to do their Adept, so the game is generally rougher when the survivors are playing like they normally would.
Other reasons: cheaters/hackers (who come in surges, even rn in 2v8). People with very high ping / lag. DBD servers being DBD servers, somehow they've gotten worse over the last year.

And so on. So they do... but maybe the next generation will be here to witness what we're asking for today 😂 /lhj

That may be true, but then they just shouldn't engage at all. Downvoting then leaving is cowardly and doesn't really make your opinion valid in that case.
Yet the devs of the game of topic wanted this feature and added it to the forum, so apparently it does have a merrit, doesn't it? Or else, why add it.
-
Back on topic @ OP yes, you can definitely make sure you have 3v1 or 2v1 asap, but you can do it by hooking person 1 then person 2, and then go back to person 1. That way you aren't tunneling the same person repeatedly the moment they're unhooked. Then it's all fair game imo, and the game is more fun for all involved.
-
- Were-Elk raising its hatchet
- Michael getting stunned, never ever gets old
- the sound of Caleb's boots
- Wolfy's awoo
- Vecna's (from ST) lullaby
- all the bear sounds from Oni's Nyaight Of The Living Cats skin
-
This happens quite a lot because some gamers have apparently forgotten all about the miserable 3-gen strat that Skully brought with her. They just do all the gens in 1 corner / 1 side of the map and forget all about zoning and getting 3-gend. So having to break it takes more time.
-
Who do u mean by Dog? 🤔
-
They have buffed killers and changed some of the maps. Some of them are very small, for example Greenville with some awkward gen spawns and a huge deadzone. Wesker, Nemesis, Oni and Billy all received buffs to my understanding.
Most killers now have chronic aura reads any way, so they all should be fine. Also this game mode is supposed to be NOT like 1 v 4, it not supposed to be a sweatfest but FUN. You want a sweatfest play 1v4

Hm that is not what I asked. I've had way too many games where I spawn in and am already hearing the killers' terror radius. That has never been the case in earlier itterations nor should it be.

He is, by far, my most disliked killer in the mode. I'll take a team of Blight and Nurse over an Oni any day.
Oni is the new Legion. They should give him the same treatment they gave to Billy with insta-downs.
Edit: LOL look at the amount of people who NEED the handholding and their instadowns lmao.
-
-
Love them! Especially since we have more insta-down killers, and unless you're in a full 8-man SWF you're usually paired with a very mixed bag of teammates, most of whom not understanding not to unhook in the killers' faces or to heal teammates. Therefore it's nice to have a chance.
As for killer I play Wesker/Spirit/Nemesis and haven't really felt the need to use the tonics tbh. So I can't say much on that regard.
Improvement ideas: make the Purified tonic only available to survivors on dead-hook though. Perhaps for killer the Purified tonic could do something other than giving haste. Break a pallet instead could be nice. Edit: didn't mean to post twice 😅
-
Scout and Medic. I feel like most really underestimate how powerful it is to have resources all game. Guide feels like such a waste to me, since all you do is blastmine a gen. Most gens are easy to spot so there is no need to highlight it imo.
And medic is great if you can insta-heal someone mid-chase or just off hook.

Lowering the graphical settings do help a lot.
For example when I started playing this game a way back years ago I started on Ultra graphics. And even used Ultra while streaming to Twitch.
However when the graphics kept evolving I noticed that the stream started to have small lag issues and slight framedrops from 60 to 42 or so. That's when I switched from Ultra to High and I can barely tell the difference in visual differences but the weight of the game on my system went way down. Then I tested even lower graphics settings and didn't see much difference in system usage. I was playing with uncapped fps at this time, way before the setting to change fps was introduced into the game settings. Today I have set it to 120 from game settings because the high fps also causes a lot of system usage stress in this game only, not in other games.
The biggest difference in system usage is only between High and Ultra, so I would recommend dropping it from Ultra to High and see for yourself.
Yes, this did it mostly for me! Additionally I noticed I could cap its performance (which influenced its power usage) via the Nvidia app, so did that too. Works great, thank you ^^

I did a little research and I learned that this could be a refresh rate issue. Apparently having your PC on 60Hz instead of 120/144Hz can create a little input lag. If your monitor is compatible with 120/144Hz refresh rates, I'd say absolutely try changing that to solve the problem. Lmk if this helps!
I do apologise for responding so late! I eventually did manage to fix it! I had turned my FPS up whilst practicing some of Wesker's techs, so I changed that. But for some reason my changes would get reset every time I booted up DBD. Meaning also vsync would be turned on again!
I turned it off and changed my FPS to 90 after reinstalling the game and now it is working perfectly fine. Thanks for helping though ^^

Absolutely! I was able to do it on servers with 300 ping lol. You really have to time it well!
Edit: it is much easier to get saves with a flashbang though, maybe you can give that a try? GL 🍀

I've the same issue. Done several games and killed survivors by hooking and mori-ing them, more than enough times to get the achievement, but it just isn't progressing.

I don't like it. I feel like it promotes negativity even more so than before. When people disagree with someone they can take their time and share their opinion, whether they can see eye to eye at some point or not. This just cheapens the forums imo.
What I dislike the most is how it's placed first as well, same as in the game when you invite someone to play the first option is to "reject" ??? Which doesn't make any sense to me at all, in both regards.
