Wow, 9 straight games with a Huntress in 2v8. So thrilling

Be glad THAT is your biggest complain. I've been left on 1st hook to die after looping the killer for 3 gens' worth of time and others walking around doing totems.

• No age is too old to play games. Too young, yes, but too old?? No. That is just a sore loser.

Also if that were the case then no one at nursery homes would be playing bingo, sudoku, puzzles or any games.

Edit: I just checked mine and it says 2020, which means everyone who "loses" does so to a 4 year old with that logic 😂

Thing is, I use bond in almost 100% of my games. Finding a survivor for healing or to get healed, knowing where chases are happening what direction they are going, knowing which generators people are on so I don't take the killer there is all an amazing thing.

So I was wondering of bond or maybe a weaker version of it could be made base kit given how useful it is for a solo player like me, who doesn't play with friends over a discord call or other means of communication!

No thank you, the only time I've seen survivors use bond was to point out teammates. Aside from that they were massively useless. Bond should be removed if you ask me.

Talking about someone else throwing a tantrum like a child whilst throwing a tantrum like a child. I suppose it is the Internet, to be fair.

k bro. Really showed me that you know the definition of a tantrum. Good job. Go buy a cake and celebrate it, yeah? :)

Oh did that make you feel better? You really showed me with that response, LMAO. But please comment more off-topic nonsense.

Most people would have just said they missed it.

"No I actually have a life outside this game" was your response to me asking the simple question if you saw the road map they released. Now you're either blissfully ignorant of how that strongly implies what I said it does, or you're trying to white wash it by pretending that's not what you were saying.

Get over dude, it's just a game, unless your life acxtually does revolve around it. You keep talking off-topic because you felt spoken to and got your feelings hurt, it's not that deep. I asked a question and got an answer. Move on. Matter of fact don't bother responding, I'm not going to have a back and forth with a child that gets throws a tantrum over something that didn't even concern you. Goodbye.

I mean you took time out of your day to come here to complain about a video game. So it seemed reasonable to assume you might also keep up with the updates they put out. Honestly it's a bit rude to imply those who keep up with the game news have no life outside of it.

As for your second point, we don't know what they will and won't change about him. You asked when are they going to address him. You got an answer. It's happening this month.

Ehm you're the one here assuming things and making what I said personal. I'm talking about myself and that I don't have the time to keep up with every update every single time, for some reason you felt spoken to and think it's rude? You're making it personal for yourself, not me. Someone else already answered my question.

• Yes, I thought it was a map issue. Had this happening all game on Mother's Dwelling. I could barely hear the gen when I was working on it and looking at a different angle. That entire match all audio-cue's were muffled.

• @SuspiciousBrownie said:

What do you want? Big maps destroy killers like Mikey and Trapper because they are slow AF and have to build up or set up powers.

Then you have killers like Blight and Billy who can cross a map in 3 seconds flat.

They have to make maps smaller or give all slow killers better mobility. And they chose to shrink maps.

They could fix both issues they caused. Fix those killers and fix the maps. God forbid they do more than the bare minimum.

• @cluelessclaudette said:

another half baked idea by BHVR. Sometimes I think they don't think or do any sort of balance contemplation on big changes.

i've had killers work with the 2nd last survivor to out me out cause of this dog piss change.

BHVR devs seem to be very impulsive, they will just about throw anything in the game, without ever truly testing it themselves, because why should they when they have a select few in the PTB doing their literal jobs for them? And based on what those few say, they will either ENTIRELY revert their changes or go so overboard with it that they nerf things into the ground and it becomes useless once more.

See what they did with Freddy, Trickster, Chess Merchant, on and on the list goes. I've never seen Devs of any other game try to ruin their playerbase's experience as much as BHVR seems to be set to do. Said it before and will say it again BHVR needs to take lessons from CD Project Red, and actually FIX their mess of a game and come out with something better, not updates that cause more bugs. Not changes that lead to more nerfs or overpowered bs.

• While I understand the point, I don't think doing something negative to negate something negative is going to bring about something positive.

I've seen some survivors do this and found out that in some cases a teammate was AFK-ing almost the entire match. Or when at the start of a trial a survivor DC's and the others want to go next asap. Do I think that it's right? No. Do I understand them? Yes.

I'm above slugging someone and wasting all of our time. What I prefer to do is let that survivor go next and go easy on the remaining 3, and just have fun. I do not care for getting 4Ks every single match, have better things to worry about in my life than a video game.

• His Masquerade Chainsaw (from Twisted Masquerade cellection) skin is bugged as well.
Only screenshot that shows it well is a bit awkward but you can see it spiking out of him, when it shouldn't.

• A health chapter where they actually fix things and do QOL and for once bring out a chapter with NO BUGS whatsover. Like none. Like they actually TEST their own game. But I know that's never going to happen, so:

Metal Gear Solid chapter. Can have Volgin, Skullface or Psycho Mantis as killers. Snake, Ocelot, Quiet, Raiden and Kaz as survivors. With DD as Snake's pet 😎

Oh here we have it, the "git gud". No evidence, no argument just an accusation of being bad at the game. Let me remind you that, as I don't know how your games go, you also don't know how mine are. Your experience is not the experience of others, and your claims are based on your experience, like mine are based on my experience. And you did not say anything about the Billy situation. So let me challenge you to play hillbilly on RPD and use his map traversal skills there in an efficient way.

You wanna play Billy efficiently on RPD? Let me get the popcorn, I'm all here to see that. Unless you mean him downing 1 person, slugging or camping, then there isn't anything new to see there. But if you're telling me that you're capable of curving as billy on the entirety of RPD??? Please do stream that.

As for everything else you said, yeah agree to disagree. Map offerings are boring crutches and no one person should decide an important aspect of the game for four others. The end. If you disagree, good for you, go buy a cake and celebrate it. I CBA <3

My point is that it doesn't have to differ. Someone could bring a Sacrificial Ward every match they they so chose, and certainly as often as someone puts in a map offering. It is a choice. Micromanging a Lobby would be trying to outlaw choices, kind of like what is being suggested here. The DEV give us tools to do MOST of the things we claim we need. It isn't their fault or a failing of the game that we choose not to use them more often than not. I use the Sacrificial Ward all the time. :)

What? Micromanaging is EXACTLY what people do when they put in a map-offering. What are you even saying? You know what, don't even respond to me because I have absolutely zero interest in wasting more of my time on someone who is constantly talking against their own point, makes baseless statements, and isn't good enough to play the game without needing to decide an important factor of the game for 4 others. Then talk to ME about micro-managing for wanting map-offerings not be a thing LMAO. OKAY BRO. Bait and whatnot, huh.

• @ReverseVelocity said:

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3777150#Comment_3777150

I'm talking about 4 offerings to counter a sac ward specifically.

I play on EU servers, at varying times of the day (some way later than I'd like to admit). Never ever seen it happen.

I get map offerings relatively often in general, but most of them are like Azarov's Key and Phalanx Bone which I don't really have an issue with. If I see a Crow's Eye it's on sight though.

Good for you? That's not the case at all for me, for years, hence why I made this topic. I wouldn't if it wasn't that common of an occurence.

• @Slan said:

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/423401/can-we-get-rid-of-map-offerings-already

Map offerings seem to be fine. Especially now that there is an offering that basically throws map offerings to the dumpster. Thing is it is fair, both sides can use them. And you are also kinda wrong since map offerings DO add value to the game. Take a scratch mirror Myers for example. Using certain map offerings to ensure you go to a map where the build works is mandatory when using that build. Or using a Condwing offering with Hillbilly so that youi can use the chainsaw in a comfortable way. Or using Gideon's as a survivor in order to have those good pallets at your disposal.

And the situations you are describing don't happen that often. Most times survivors will kill themselves on hook for the most pointless reasons such as downing them fast, playing skull merchant or being a good nurse. I have never seen someone disconnect because of a map offering.

Oh yeah? And you know how all my games or everyone else's go, huh? Do you have all the stats as well, as some others on here think they do?

No side should decide for 4 others what map they play on. If you're that great at the game then it should be absolutely no problem for you to play without offerings then, huh? But you proved my point by saying that you need specific maps just because you want to try one build. Maybe get better at Mikey and his build and learn to play it well on all maps :)

• @Rumplestiltskin said:

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3777156#Comment_3777156

Yes, I answered this already above. Scroll back and you will see. However, what we are talking about is whether or not there is a statistical issue or are these statistical outliers? Map Offerings are not a problem, nor have they ever been a problem. You have tools to try and mitigate them. You could also take your own advice and play custom games if you don't like the fact people might try to influence where you go. Statistically, you have a better chance (far better) of stopping a map offering if you try than they have of forcing it. You may indeed stop it, and then randomly get sent to that same map. It is ironic and funny, but very true.

I never understand why people get so passionate and want to die on some hill over these kinds of issues in the game. There are actual problems like hackers which deserve attention. Getting sent to a map you don't like now and then is just well, a nothing burger.

Stop acting like you know what you are talking about with your "statistics" do you have those for EVERY player to back it up? I don't think so, so stop trying to use empty words thinking you are proving a point, when all you're proving is the fact that you have no idea how other people's games or, how often maps offs are used, how often sac wards are in the BW, how often you can buy them with enough BP, or how often they actually negate an offering. Please stop, you're not fooling anyone here.

I never understand why people get so passionate and want to die on some hill over these kinds of issues in the game. Pot calling kettle much?

Absolutely. I said Touche didn't I? I called out your silly rant. You called me out on getting that offering wrong (however slightly). But the fact remains your original argument holds ZERO water. You already have a way to block map offerings. You simply have to choose to use it. They give the Sacrificial Ward out like candy in the Blood Web. I have well over a thousand. You have the tool; use it. There is nothing wrong with Map Offerings.

What a baseless argument you're trying to make. You do understand that EVERYTHING in this game is RNG based, right? Just because your BW happens to have a lot of sac wards, doesn't mean everyone else's does. And again, the sac ward doesn't block the map always, there is always a chance of you STILL going to that map. I even have screenshots of it happening multiple times. Case in point:

• @Rumplestiltskin said:

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3777093#Comment_3777093

Yes you can. Learn the game. The offering that blocks map offerings blocks ALL of them. A SWF could all take the same map and your one offering would still block them. Learn the game before you start saying there is a problem or that you need something.

It does not. You can still be sent to that map.
Literally my game rn:

I don't think I've ever seen that happen to me, honestly.

I've only seen it happen on twitter, and that was one single time in 4 years. Outside of that one instance I've never seen a Sac Ward get countered like that.

if you play on EU servers, especially at night it happens almost every other game. You try having a horde of sac wards to block that. Those in here who are so adamantly against it is because they are the ones who are using sac wards exactly like I explained.

• @Rumplestiltskin said:

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/423401/can-we-get-rid-of-map-offerings-already

This is not necessary. If you wish to block Map Offerings you can ALREADY do that. Use the offering which counters all Map Offerings and you are set.

No, the ratio of sac ward and the players who bring map offerings differs a lot. There is literally no need to allow one side choose a specific map, if you want to do it that bad go play customs where you can micro-manage the entire lobby.

To me this comes across as a decision made by the corporate part of BHVR and not so much the DBD devs, but I could be wrong. Business is business and all that nonsense ig. I personally will keep playing DBD, but Bhvr is no longer getting ANY of my money, and it is a big loss for them because I did spend it on this game a lot. If that's what you think. Honestly it's not that big of a deal and people who do make a big deal of it seem to not spread that opinion to tbagging despite it being the exact same thing.

IDK why you're bringing up the topic of TB-ing again, since this topic isn't about that.

That being said, I'm going to agree to disgree with you. I hope you have awesome games with lots of BPs and no TBs or back and forth walks lol, take care gamer!

• @Brimp said:

You can't possibly include everyone. That just doesn't work. Its more like "we include people we want to include" or the overwhelming majority. Also people should know the online environment is hostile. If they can't handle it that's a them issue not a game issue.

I can't take you seriously. Are you genuinely advocating so hard to be able to hump people on the ground?

You're going out of your way to make everyone else think that it's okay. So you can insinuate youknowwhat on a downed survivor for 4 minutes until they bleed out? Really, that is what you're "fighting" for rn? Gamer, come on.

Edit: as for not being able to include everyone, no you can't, but you can at the very least try.

• @Brimp said:

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3774251#Comment_3774251

Yours was feelings mine was calling out the people who don't direct the same energy towards tbagging. Either way if you don't like the action suck it up. If you get offended by it then it's not your type of game if the communities that way.

No, my initial post was about the action and what it implies, but apparently you can't read lmao. IDC if someone does that to my character, but I have enough emotional intelligence to understand how it can seem to others and how it can make them feel. This is a community game and BHVR has stated multiple times that they're all about inclusion NOT exclusion.

• @Brimp said:

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3774190#Comment_3774190

Once again that is about feelings. Topics don't get brought up sometimes because some person not might feel comfortable to talk about it. I just don't see people direct this whole energy towards tbagging when BOTH actions' origins are from the same place.

Pot calling kettle? Your point is about "feelings" as well, seeing how you seem to be allergic to them? You do get that anger, pettiness, frustration, agitation are all feelings as well right? Not just people not wanting to get humped for 4 minutes on the ground by someone who has nothing better to do with their life.

Besides no one here might be directing as much energy towards teabagging, because that is not the topic of discussion here. Have you not seen the forums being filled with umpteenth posts about teabagging in general? If not, go dig around.

• I usually use Lethal Persuer on Whiskas, so whomever I spot being near a gen is the first to get chased. I prefer to go for gen-jockeys.

However, if it is a Resident Evil lobby then no one is being chased in a serious manner lol. Wesker + RE players is just a big party. Unless it's Chris…. /jk

• @Brimp said:

If we keep making rules to stop players feeling to get hurt then we wouldn't have a very interesting game. Given that if you don't like the treatment you're getting… just tab out or look the other way from your screen.

It's not about feelings, it's about what the action implies. Hence why it is being done in the first place.

You have:

A. The killer in the power role and,
B. the survivor in the victim role. Downed on the ground.

I'm not going to describe more because I don't want to get kicked out of the fog, but you can't deny what the above stated implies.

Yes, it is walking back and forwards. Yes it is just movement and it's all pixels on a screen, but the MEANING behind it is there, no? If not, why the fork do it then?

And you should try to be kind to others, it's really not that fckg hard. But fact of the matter is that most people playing this game are a bunch of dudebros, about whom I have nothing nice to say without getting hauled outta here by the Entity itself.

So, the people bringing up sexual harassment as a thing, it makes sense. I always laugh at it because I usually deserve it.

AS A PLAYER! I generally "BM" a lot, but I can see how people would get offended by it once they know the meaning.

Not enough people are talking about how bot killers actually are a thing in this mode. Maybe that’s a sneak leak to them rolling out in regular mode in a future update.

Did you happen to verse one or play with?

My friend DC-ed mid-game and I got a Bot Nurse. All she did was stand exhausted at 1 gen and afterwards proceeded to walk around the map doing absolutely nothing😭

• I don't understand your point whatsoever. Do YOU understand it yourself? Perhaps you meant to say something else or word it differently? Genuinely so confused.

You want permanent 2v8, but you want the Killers queuing to be versing bots? So then who is to verse you, as a survivor??? Do you want to face Bot Killers?

I hope you understand that people who are addressing the issue of long waiting times are giving feedback regarding this mode. Which the Devs said they would take into consideration and they might tume this mode and bring it back later, if they wanted to.

There is also the matter of literal numbers. Every 2 killer players need 8 other players. Hence it taking more time than usual to find those, since a lot of people want to finally play KWF. It's not a simple matter of "people are whining for the sake of it".

I'm unreasonable lmao. 2v8 1v4 there's no difference here most survivors will let there teammates handle all the dirty work gens and chase and most the time rot while they crouch urban evade edge map hide in lockers behind rock entire game to wait for hatch. And on the other end of the spectrum those with map and chase knowledge will do there best to bully newer killers ie point emote teabag point click flashy and make their playtime miserable. And sorry not sorry again I've been a survivor main to Me personally nothing is skillful about being able to hold w n hug alot of those broken God loops in 2v8 nor do i even find fov or 360s skillful its just taking advantage game design/map design

This sounds more like being stuck in lower mmr bracket, AKA mmr hell, that's where you're matched with survivors like that. Good survivors are resourceful and help teammates.

As for 2v8 IDK hwat it is but it's as though they've turned MMR off completely just to get enough players in 1 lobby. The amount of baby survivirs I've seen during 2v8 has been off the charts. I'd say don't let 1 event twist or contort your impression of the game.

• @Jim_Tonic said:

You make your teammates key hatch challenges exceedingly more hardcore even when they are alredy hard to do, by blocking the hatch from spawning even though you could leave any second.

thanks.

Your best bet is to SWF uf you want to complete this challenge, especially when you notice that it's difficult to do so whilst SoloQ-ing. If you're on Steam, you could try telling your teammates to leave because you're trying to get your hatch challenge, that might help too.

As for people not leaving I think Laluzi explained it best. Those are the reasons I would stay in the game for as well. Otherwise I'll leave. I play just as much Killer to know how wasteful of my time it is when others do that for the fun of it, or for the "watch-me-leave" or they want to BM 🤷🏼‍♀️

Either way GL with your challenge gamer!

• @steezo_de said:

That's why you can't take this game mode, and really the game, too seriously. Some people just want to mess around and are not playing to win, or if they are, they may only care 60%.

Like, it's more fun to chase killers as scout and try to engage with them a little bit than to just do gens. Besides, with a 400% bonus, I can't blame anyone for going out of their way to maximize their BP gain in any way possible. I know I am.

I had someone tell me in EGC that they would find me IRL and "crush my head" and a whole lot of other things not said in English, just because I asked them why they were hiding in lockers/crouching in corners all game (mind you, with 0 hookstages), doing chests and totems and refused to heal teammates, go for hook safes literally next to them and touch gens. You can say people shouldn't take this game mode/game seriously all you want, but the reality is you will verse some of the most toxic people in this game. So whether you want to or not, some will take this game far too seriously and ruin it for everyone else whilst they are at it.

• Screenshot 2024-07-27 024903.png

^ literally!!!!

It is beyond frustrating and to think that you now have the luxury of classes, seeing auras and gens that are being worked on. I think the whole "doing gens" as an objective has run its course and needs to be replaced by something that is engaging.

• IDK not have bad eggs who slug everyone to get 8K? In a mode that is supposed to be fun and not one where you sweat your ass off.

Then it's the type of games that I never play for a very good reason. I don't support this evil practice.

I understand where you're coming from.

What surprises me though is the fact that companies don't realise that when they use these sorts of tactics often, that 1: people will become desensitised to it. I zone out and no longer even see it, I'm just clicking until I get to the game without even actually looking. 2: it only creates frustration and instead of becoming interested in the product, people will hate it out of spite lol.

• @plattenpanzer said:

It's irrelevant. We paid for your game and then you decide to make an ad revenue which forces you to look at it in the first place. This is truly a one of a kind game that does that. If it was a free to play game or mobile game then I would of understand.

It's not, other games do it all the time. Perhaps you haven't seen it yet, but it is a marketing tactic. Sometimes it goes over well and sometimes it doesn't. I don't think it's so much up to the Devs but more so the company side of BHVR.

• It's just 1 one and it's their own game, related to the DBD universe. Also if you bothered to read you would've seen that you can select "don't show me this message again" and be done with it, instead of being so dramatic. They're a company at the end of the day, you expect them NOT to promote their own game that is another branch of DBD?

As for the skins they have already mentioned that they're going to revert some aspects.

• 4 people on 1 gen is horrible and will snowball on the survivors. Those are beginners, I can't imagine any survivor with more experience not splitting up and doing gens more efficiently and across the map.

You should be ecstatic that it's not 4 people working on 4 different gens. When you find them, you are literally finding 4 at once and all that time they put in that 1 gen has gone to waste. Now if it was 1 person on a gen and you'd managed to find them, you would be downing 1 and have 3 gens pop by the time you hooked them.

• Had this as well, also hooks appear on the map afterwards. See picture (was inside the hook).

In the lobby, on the left hand side, select the upper most tab - where you can select the character you are playing.

In the main view, select the customization tab. There select the last tab (the one on the right)

It is cumbersome to navigate through this new menu layout. Of course part of the reason is that we are used to the old layout.
another part is that it’s now badly designed though.

So we have to scroll through everything… wonderful. Ty for the explanation though, take care.

• Literally every Nurse and Blight was running it. So yes.
