Welcome to DBD, that's basically how match-making usually is and will be :)

What? Did you say the Devs did something good? You have to speak up, I can't hear anything over this chase music.
This!!!!
Seriously though why does evey new chase music sound like it was sampled from a blender or a washing machine? How do the devs not realise that it gets insanely annoying when you're in long chases?! ๐ฎโ๐จ
-
I do when their names are just numbers or random characters, and their profile is set to private. From experience I've learned that those are often cheaters.
People who have been banned from other games.
I also dodge lobbies with multiple ttv-ers.

By any chance, were you doing things with the killer's power when the match ended? I've had multiple issues with adepts not proccing because I was messing around for last minute points. This isn't an issue on every killer, only some of them, but I haven't even played Skull Merchant yet, so I don't know if that's the case.
Survivors DCing on hook will also kill the adept, unfortunately.
Had this happen as well!
-
It happens from time to time. Not only to comments or threads, but also to people. It's probably the Fog ;)
-
Her design comes across a lot like a skin made by old men for boys/men :)
It's not like she is the first female skull sniper with blatant close-ups of her butt and boobs.... oh wait... Kojima did that already. Maybe Kojima is doing their skin designs ๐คท
Skull merchant at least has hair... lmao

Umm, unless you have bad ping you will never be exhausted on the ground. I have ran dh every survivor game for the last 6 months and have never been exhausted on the ground. It's either the killer hitting first or the survivor pressing e first, factoring in ping stated by a dev. Get better internet. I'm sorry you don't have the hold my hand baby validation from before.
My ping is 25-30 is it's not that. And I don't care for your validation nor do I care for your opinion. Go troll someone else :)

Midwich, RPD West: for most killers.
GF does really well on Borgo, RPD, DD, Lerry's, most of Azarov's. Sadako absolutely destroys on the Game.
Dead Dawg for Nurse, Huntress, Slinger.

Peanits has explained this a million times by now. Maybe read his/their post?

I mean, Lithe, Sprint Burst, Balanced Landing and Overcome are all way more consistent than DH will ever be. If it really bothers you that the perk is so inconsistent, you're not lacking for alternatives here.
Because unlike you, even with its inconsistency I have ZERO issues with DH whilst playing either role. It's a fine, nay great perk! :)
Now go use your circling "arguments" on someone else, and stop spamming my notifs.

Why are there rats with glowing red eyes on Lery's anyways?
Because they're frikkin cute and unlike the crows, they aren't snitches! ๐ค

They probably want to up the kill-count while they still can :)

If it's really that inconsistent, why defend it? I don't think the latency issues with it are going to get fixed anytime soon.
Because when it works, and you've timed it well, it's worth it :)
That's like asking why use any perk? ๐ Why do you think?
-
Are we all going to pretend the fact that DH nowadays only works 50% of the time doesn't exist?? The many times you still get downed despite your screen clearly showing that you're exhausted, thus meaning you've used DH, but it did absolutely nothing. The other 50% of the time that you time it well and use it and take a hit with endurance, it's truly and utterly fine.
If you're struggling SO HARD against one perk, maybe you should lose some matches and get back to playing against people that are more on your skill-level :)
-
I mean you can fake picking up a survivor to lure out the flashy-saver, get a free hit on them, and be done with it. You can literally look away to avoid it completely. Or use Franklin's ๐คท
Does everything need to be nitpicked and changed? What's next, why there are rats with glowing eyes on Lerry's?

You mentioned that "him grabbing your through the vaulting animation" and talking about that. My point was, on his side of things, he probably only grabbed you partway through the animation. The example i gave is an example where it works the other way. And i'm saying the both are likely related to latency issues or just networking/server issues.
First off, I'm sorry for my moody reply, I should refrain from replying when I haven't had my morning coffee ๐ .
To your point, that may be, but I've had several instances, where a survivor is mid-vault animation and Wesker is just starting to do his dash. The vault animation was done and he was mid-dash, when the survivor was about to run away is when it suddenly goes to him having grabbed the survivor. I think it has to do with his power.
-
@Reinami said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3361084#Comment_3361084
No, you have it backwards. Like, i know a survivor is vaulting a window, because their item disappears, i rush at them, and i SHOULD hit them, but then for some reason i don't but i just bounce off the window and nothing happens. I don't hit them, i don't vault, nothing. If they were mid vault, such that i couldn't vault, it should be a hit, if they successfully vaulted, then they should be out of the animation so i should vault after them. But like i said i think it is a latency thing.
I don't. I was mentioning a different example, when you decided to throw in your own anecdote about your experience with Wesker and what goes wrong for YOU. In your case it might very well be latency. In that which I was initially speaking of has nothing to do with latency :) Also I understood your point you don't need to keep regurgitating it, when you clearly haven't understood mine. So stop responding to me and wasting both of our times.

This is similar to dead hard from the killer perspective. There are plenty of times a survivors is about to vault, and i use my power as wesker, and they vault the pallet, but i bump into it, even though i should have definitely gotten them, i feel like in those cases i should at least be able to vault behind them. I would imagine its a latency issue.
IDK about the vaulting instead of grabbing, but I think that this is more of a Wesker issue than a latency problem. I've never had a killer grab me after the vaulting animation or been able to do so myself whilst playing killer. I reckon it has to do with his powers, where one cancels the other out, e.g. you vaulting instead of grabbing and so on.
Edit: maybe this can be tested with Legion, considering their powers are quite similar to Wesker's ๐ค

How about we cross that bridge when and IF we ever get to it? It's like this community is trying to win the oscar for best actor in a drama ๐ .

I hope they never touch Shadowborn, or we'll never see Billy mains ever again ๐ฅน I've only seen them and Blights run it... and one very peculiar Ghostface ๐คจ
-
You do understand that everyone who buys the battle pass has those skins as well, right?? It's not really exclusive.
There is nothing in this game that is exclusive to just one person. And also WHO CARES? It's a marketing tactic and you've fallen for it so hard :)

@hiken said:
Wesker is fine. The only thing i Hate about him is the fact that he can grab u even if u already half vaulted the loop he grabs u back is so f dumb. Other than that he has fair counterplay id rather verse 10 wesker in a row than a damn nurse or blight.
This ^
I don't hate him nor do I think he needs to get nerfed. But him grabbing you, when the entire vaulting animation has played, is truly BS. He does the same at exit gates lol.
-
Resident Evil collabs have been the only reason for keeping me playing this game, even when DBD was at it's lowest, back when SoloQ had no buffs, DH for distance still existed etc., so I hope we do :)
Well that and Scream obviously.
-
What I still don't understand is how the system factors in DC's. Considering how often those happen, and people leaving the match early via 1st hook, it counts it as a "kill" for a killer, but the other 3 survivors are usually left in an unbalanced game. Regardless of how well they might be doing. Which also has them depiping a lot... So how is that balanced for the survivors?

I love how CoB's icon is Sadako's eye. It actually took me a really long time to realize that was what it was (I don't think I did until someone pointed it out to me) but now I can't look at the icon without seeing it.
Never noticed this one, going to pay attention to it next time ๐
-
Because everyone plays him the same way every single time? Camp-tunnel-camp-tunnel...zzzzzzz ๐ด๐
I'd rather get face-camped by Bubba, in basement, or on the moon, or where ever, at least he isn't as annoying uhg!
-
Yes, mostly Ghostface, and most games it's really fun to play him. But of I get too many bully squads, I just switch to Nemesis and destroy them :) what loops? What pallet? Against Nemi?? ๐
-
I think the reason why is BHVR knows their playerbase very well. If you look at even more than half of the postst on the forums alone, it will tell you what type of players they are dealing with. They're witholding such stats probably for a very good reason.
They already indugle everyone where and when they see fit.
Side-note: there is not really such a thing as high-MMR, that's you assuming that the match-making always works, which it doesn't, so you're often mixed with a group of people with different skillset(s) and hours. Once in a blue moon you'll be matched with your equals.

We last saw him in a video, climbing up set of stairs before walking into a "party" filled with fog monsters. Then he screamed a bunch and vanished. Now we're getting our lore from the "House of Arkham" which is basically a group of investigators living in the observers tower. Its possible that the observer is stuck in some kind of loop by the entity of dying over and over. if you wanna know specifics just read the wiki or get the lore ingame.
I did read the wiki, couldn't find anything concrete there, that's why I asked here :)

Y'all crazy, the Steves are the ones who sabotage their team; Fengs are well meaning but overestimate themself.
What? All Steve's I've been teamed up with have been god-loopers and generally good teammates. I'll give you all mine Feng's, you can have them forever. No refunds. ๐
-
You could also just, you know, play nice when you notice a massive skill difference. If that's your playstyle at least, I know that some killers are allergic to being nice or have never heard of the concept lol.
-
The first time going against Scratch Mirror Michael, scared the BEEP out of me.
Another has been an urban evading Gremlin (Nea) sneaking up om me while I was doing a gen. She truly is the Entity.
-
Don't care about his anti-loops. It's the fact that every single Knight I've gone against has been a hard-tunneler and face-camper = no skill.
-
@Wexton said:
For me it's usually the Nea or the Yui who tries to work with me or sandbags the entire team, usually the Feng is the weak link who thinks they're amazing at the game despite being downed in every chase 10 seconds in.
That's why though usually because most people that play Feng can't loop. I used to dodge lobbies with Feng's because of how often this happens ๐ Never seen that be the case with Nea's though.
-
No, it's ridiculous that it existed in the first place. Shows that BHVR really doesn't play their own game and if they do they play it with each other because they clearly have no inkling as to how bad tunneling has become. GJ on incentivizing it even more.
-
I understand where you're coming from and too many of those types of killers will have anyone feel very frustrated, to say the least. If those things happen to me once or twice, I could not care less about it. But what I have noticed is that some people play this game who have some serious mental issues.
I don't care if you're hitting me on hook and nodding, guess what I'll pop up Netflix or Youtube on my second monitor and tab out, and you bet I will hit every skill-check on second stage so my teammates can get further. But the people who add you on Steam to tell you to end yourself, to get x diseases, or call your family names, DDoS you, and so on, even in end-game chat, those are the ones I have an issue with. People like that need to stay off games like this.
-
@fulltonon said:
Not much "being nice", but when I intentionally let easy target escape it can easily ends up with losing lol.
I always put in BPS and whenever I let people like this go, they almost always end up TB-ing, and generally being obnoxious, and thinking they got away because of "skill". That will turn the match around very quickly for me, no more being nice and everyone gets tunneled out :)
-
What if it's very simple? They could all kill the Entity by not killing the survivors at all. The Entity can hunger until it dies :)
-
I mean it already sounds like there is a challenge right there for you to learn to loop the Knight regardless of his power.
That being said, I absolutely despise the Knight, because every single one I've had the misfortune of facing has been a face-camper and a hard-tunneler. They don't even know what mind-gaming is. God SO boring!!!
Nurse also has anti-loop but I certainly don't mind facing her or Blight with his strongest add-ons. Or even Wesker/Artist/Dredge, all of them have anti-looping skills but none are as unbearable as the knight.
How do you fare against them?

I think so, especially with CoB/Overcharge and now that it's been reverted back to 10% of total. It just won't be ridiculously broken like it was before.
I didn't use it before because I didn't want to use such a broken perk but I'll probably try it now.
Yea, but the sad thing is CoB is a perk you need to buy. I'm sure as hell not going to lay down money for Sadako ๐ so Jolt it is IG.

The only people the devs listened to are the survivors. Eruption is still going to be useless, and killers would be better off going back to pain res.
I mean, I quite liked Eruption before. It's in some cases more useful than Jolt!

yea was just thinking this incapacitated effect( gens only) meaning you and mend/heal/do totems/ and unlock chest you know all survivors 2nd objective.
because we know survivors need a 2nd objective.
Agreed! Still nice that you can apply it to multiple gens, and more importantly that the devs did listen! ^^
-
I don't understand why they had to go so extreme with the nerf in the first place. They could've kept it as it was but just applied the incapacitated effect to gens only. That way survivors could still mend/heal/do totems or whatever. But not rush gens.

I've seen hags with builds around basement excell. But if you have to play her like that every time, it gets boring really fast sadly

Again, you aren't reading what i wrote. I didn't say you should tunnel someone because they deserve it, or because it is toxic, or anything like that. What i am saying is, if someone is running dead hard, and i know they are, and i hook them. The most efficient tactics for me to beat that person, is to tunnel them off the hook, hit them intentionally, so they get deep wounds, then they can't use dead hard in that chase, then keep chasing them.
This means they get a speed boost, but i only have to hit them 1 more time to down them. If i don't tunnel them off the hook, then they get healed, and then the NEXT time i chase them, i have to hit them once, then hit them again and 50/50 that i can bait the dead hard, or they don't reach a pallet with it, giving them a 3rd health state. Then hit them a 3rd time to down them, before i repeat.
If i see them use dead hard, it makes way more sense to tunnel them right off the hook so they can't get any more use out of dead hard.
I'm saying, that if you are playing to win, and they have dead hard, tunneling hard counters that. Good killers realize this, so if you don't want to get hard tunneled and die. Run something like off the record, and sprint burst, that way, i can't hit you right off the hook, you sprint burst away, and you have OTR so you get that extra health state without having to use dead hard or time anything. Additionally, if you sprint burst away, i'm probably going to ignore you and go after the person who unhooked you, because i can probably very quickly land a hit on them, and then start a quick chase with them, rather than tunneling you when you just zoomed away from me and are probably on the other side of the map by now.
Tunneling and camping only work because survivors let it work.
Again? I responded to you once, and never will again seeing how it's a waste of time. That being said, I'm not reading all that. Bye.
