Just curious - why did you struggle so much against 4 No Mithers? Were you trying to slug them all? What happened in that game that made it impossible to win?

They were running Resilience so they did have a 6% faster gen repair, but still. LP left him 1 perk short from the beginning relying him to rely on BBQ, STBFL and Ruin. If they just sat on gens Ruin wouldn't matter, but they still got the speed boost.

I think this was more meme-y rather than depip squad tbh. No prove thyself/tool boxes with BNP. No flashlights.

You'd only be able to select 5 anyway. Base game only has 5 killers on PC and like 7 on Console if i'm not mistaken, Console get's Hag and somebody else. They can't give every killer on Tutorial since you'll have to buy most of them and not everyone does so they can't exactly unlock characters for free even if it's just the Tutorial.

Switch had base 5 + Hag + Doctor.

New MMR will pair you with lower ranks with not as used killers, so that should give you time to harness their power.

In one of the latest surveys they did ask if when and why would we purchase new DLC characters. One of the options was if we could test them out prior to purchasing. PC players can test out new characters in PTB, but new players (and console players) can't do that. I think at least a tutorial or demo of each killer would be appreciated prior to purchase at the very least.

  • BHVR did say that they will give incentives for players to fill roles that are lacking at the moment to help reduce queue times.

BP bonus is most likely, but will it be high? Probably not. Most likely it'll be this hour is short killers, play now and get 25% for the next hour. It'll help with the grind and queue, and will encourage people to play roles they don't normally play.

I like to play both roles, so I'm excited to see what BHVR comes up with.

  • Doctor, Demo, Wraith and Myers mostly. Demo ive been really into lately since I figured out how to finally use portals (don't judge please lol)

Doctor is my go to main usually though. Wraith I jumped on recent bandwagon. Myers is just fun, although I enjoy specific builds (unlimited tier 3 and jumpscare)

  • Is zero skill referring to the ability to pick up and just play, or ability to dominate survivors with little time investment?

If its the former, then most M1 killers (Trapper, Wraith, Clown). If its the latter then I'm tempted to say none. Most killers are good at low ranks because the caliber of survivors isn't great. But once you start to climb ranks, survivors get better and the strengths and weaknesses of the killer begins to show.

People are here saying Doctor is no skill. Its not just locating people, you have to learn when you use Static Blast (he has one of the longest cooldown powers of all the killers) and to time shock therapy to deny actions. Mindgames are more important on Doctor because he doesn't have an insta-down mechanic as base kit. You have to understand how illusionary Doctors work for locating or where survivors could be hiding if Whispers is going off and Static Blast didn't hit anybody (Calm Spirit or locker).

Every killer requires skill. If they are essentially M1, then they require better game knowledge. Even Demo you need to know how to set up portals and 3 gens properly, estimate distance for Shred and predict/understand survivor animations (i.e. survivors' items disappear once they initiate vault action which helps you plan for actual vault vs. Fake and juke)

  • Killers:

Doctor: first main. I had trouble finding people so Doctor came as a big help. His skill ceiling is high when he can deny loops. His lore is cool too!

Demo: Stranger things! Demo is cool as he's like an M1 killer but has great tools like Doctor. Of the Abyss with Lifeguard Whistle is great info with no slowdown.

Myers: I like Jumpscare Myers a lot lol

Wraith: jumped on the hype train lol I do enjoy the super lunge and All Seeing Blood

Survivor: I play as Elodie. I like how she's different from rest of survivors, I enjoy the concept of her as almost like Indiana Jones.

In my opinion at least, taking note of both console and pc, These killer's would be pretty decent to start with, perk wise and gameplay for a new player.

    Easy:

Clown - I find him quite fun tbh, managing your bottles and throwing them strategically, can make a lot of loops and pallets unsafe, has 2 decent perks as well, you will want Pop and Bamboozle.

Doctor - While not the best perks, Overcharge is not half bad for matching with other new players. His tracking and madness will win you a lot of games alone until mid ranks.

Leatherface - I made the mistake of not buying him earlier on, decent perks and easy to learn, Just a case of learning when to use your chainsaw.

Hillbilly - Perks are great, good mobility and potential insta downs, just need to learn for when to use your chainsaw at opportune moments in chases, and not spam it.

    Medium:

Plague - You will want Corrupt and Infectious fright perks unlocked anyway, Once you get the hang of her mechanics, she's an incredibly fun killer.

Pyramid Head - Same case with plague, learn his mechanics and when to use them and you'll be golden. Perk wise not the best, but trail and deathbound can be useful.

Demo - Need to be somewhat map aware, place his portals near gens you think you can defend optimally, ideally a 3 gen in your web of portals or portals mostly on one side of the map. Shred is your friend, use it on corners and windows, anticipate pallet drops with it and in some cases use it for distance. Surge is the only good perk though. He will want the save the best for last perk and corrupt to help him.

Great point about Demo that I forgot in earlier post. I had a game yesterday stall at 3 gen at Rancid Abbatoir (yuck map for killers lol). I ran Corrupt/Whispers/STBFL/NOED (don't have a lot of perks on him yet). I killed 1 as 4th gen popped, but then I set up multiple portals in my 3 gen and I ended up getting a 3K (let last person escape). Also Demo's of the abyss and lifeguard whistle are great information powers. Not as strong as Doctor, but no slowdown or limitation for most part

Not bad, I have to wait 10 mins, during that I browse and stuff.

10 minutes at rank 20? I play nights and weekends EST mostly and wait times are under 5 minutes usually.

I was a rank 11 before reset, but went down to 17 lol

  • @Piruluk said:

Okay I did try Wraith first, and got 4k right away. However still couldnt begin my second game, because cant find players, this is quite a change from playing survivor where as I did get games instantly. I will consider Leatherface for his perk, if nothing else that would really help me at the grind.

Most killer matches are within 2-5 minutes, but lately has been longer. Its probably because of new players trying Nemesis. If you keep having issues try a different time of day if possible or turn crossplay on (if its not on already)

  • @Piruluk said:

New player, only played as solo survivor till now,and have to say the game absolutely unfun, because of majority of times we are losing, thats to say killer kills everyone, about 1/10 in games there are more than 2+ survivor escaping. Usually killer gets 4k if the player wants it, slugging for it, if not there is 50% chance to get hatch for the last survivor. Gates arent option because they are usually spaming very close, so I just walk to killer to kill me.

Anyway I have about 150+ hour in, and about to try killer, it seems the easier role.

Which one would be easiest to play for a new player?

Thats to say very easy to master. I am thinking about Wraith but open to other suggestions, mainly because doesnt seem much to him, cloak then uncloak and get a hit, I think I barely had any game where could stand to Wraith, well unless we had a very good looper and Wraith commited to that player therefore lost.

Spirit I am not so sure about, according to reports very strong but seems more effort to master.

Also I red about Cannibal thats to say very easy to play, but for me he seems to slow, nothing he could do when split to repair generators. So seems to be bad against decent players, lacks mobility.

I play both, but am mostly killer main. Depends on what you classify as "easy" or what issues make killer hard. BTW killer is less stressful as you don't have anybody sandbagging you, but its a lot more stressful when you are all by yourself and you get stomped (it will happen).

-Doctor: great noob stomper. M1 killer with great information perks (Static Blast to find people). I recommend pairing with Whispers so you don't waste Static Blast in the beginning. Wait for tier 3 (32m) to go off then static blast. He also had a high skill ceiling with mastery of loops and denying survivor actions.

-Wraith: fun and easy to use. His lunge and base speed is fun and his add ons are pseudo-perks as well.

-Bubba: good to get BBQ early so not a bad option to start.

-i enjoy Demo and Myers once you start getting the swing of things. Their powers are interesting and they both have interesting perks to unlock (Surge, PWYF, STBFL)

Any killer can do well, it just has to match your playstyle tbh. I would say some key perks you should try to unlock (wait for shrine of secrets event for 5 year anniversary) are Corrupt Intervention, PGTW, BBQ, Ruin, Undying, Devour Hope, Retribution, Oppression, Iron Maiden, Monitor & Abuse. These are all great-decent perks on killers. With the SoS event, we are getting 9000 shards, and perks will be 500 less. So you can unlock 4 perks guaranteed over this 2 week event (each day, 4 new perks).

Change my mind. My proves from my experiences:

    1. I saw so many killers let us go when team were played so bad. I am not saying all killer players doing this but i saw so much killer did let us go.
    2. So many times killers giving last guy hatch.
    3. When i get 1 or 2 dc, killers did let us fix gens and leave.
    4. Most killer players writing "gg wp" even they are lose with 4 escapes.

    But survivors?

    1. I never saw they give me free hook when i played so bad.
    2. I never saw they did make game more slower when i got 1 or 2 hooks with losing 3 or 4 gens.
    3. So many of them are writing "gg wp" only when they wins. But some of them are nice and writing gg even they die.
    4. Most killers finishing games fast when they win. But survivors? When they win, they are t-bagging on gates for waste killer's more time.

Change my mind if you can.

I think some killers are chill, but others are terrible. I had a Nemesis refuse to end game when I was the last one. He didn't want to hook me, nor could I escape. As a killer I'm generally nice, but honestly depends on my mood.

I think most people are the same way on both sides. I don't see end game chat (Switch), but I could imagine the messages received from both sides.

  • Ive been around since Blight chapter. Are we judging chapters in term of just killer/survivors (powers/perks)? In that case I think BoK was original. Oppression, Victor and Deception were interesting additions tbh.

Trickster was okay, but even then we got a colorful killer who is aesthetically so different and interesting. Starstruck is still an interesting perk as well.

RE is good too. The zombies are interesting even if the RNG can be silly lol Flashbang, Blast Mine, Eruption, Rookie Spirit, Resurgence and Counterforce are all interesting perks.

Idk I haven't seen too many chapters but I think the devs are trying to branch out in at least the short time I've been playing.

Personally I think the biggest fiasco was the colorblind thing. As somebody who is colorblind, and who manages people, I would've been livid at the dev who couldn't stop talking about handicap feature. This rubbed me the wrong way, but the 5th anniversary stream with Cote warmed me back up a bit to the team.

  • @Zokenay said:

It really isnt THAT good, its a somewhat decent perk at best, and i believe Small Game to be better than it. if anything people would mainly pick it due to the speed cleansing or pair it with SG.

I actually tried using both separately and i had a way easier time finding the totems with SG, since you only get a small glimpse with CF from a far away totem, which could also be cleansed by someone else before you even get there.

Small Game is better imo as well, but pairing with Counterforce could be fun.

    Small Game/Counterforce/Inner Strength/Head On

    Totem/locker fun lol

  • I play Doctor with Whispers, this perk is not really needed tbh.

It can be good for some killers, but a whole perk that lasts 9s for the entirety of the match feels like a handicap. You can have more value out of NOED than you can LP.

Nurse can probably make good use of it with Omega blinks, but my other mains (Wraith, Demo, Jumpscare Myers) all have consistent aura reading that isn't needed for LP.

I think its great for new people and high mobility killers without aura reading (Nurse, Spirit, Blight, Hillbilly)

But then again I got so used to Whispers so I'd probably still want that in general.

  • @Zeus said:

6% regression and incapacitated for 16s. A gen takes 80s to complete so not being able to work for 16s is 20% of progress saved. Regression for 16s is additional 5% decrease. So overall, 31% gen progress worth gets hindered? And it works on multiple gens and just 30s cooldown. Probably will spend 15s hooking survivor so shouldn't hinder the killer much.

    Thoughts?

I personally think PGTW is overrated. I ran it often (especially with Oppression) but have found Surge/Ruin better in most case especially on M1 killers like Doctor.

I see people drop chases so they don't waste PGTW and end up kicking a gen with less than 10% completed.

Eruption is okay. I guess you could pair it with PGTW and Brutal Strength to get a lot of value.

  • @Northener1907 said:

This perk will work for Freddy, Nurse, Spirit, Blight, Oni and all map mobility killers. You will see which generators repairing by survivors. That perk will be really good on those killers.

    But for standart killers, meh.

Demo with Eleven's Soda can also take advantage of it, as well.

  • @AshleyWolf said:

I swear they tamper with the Archives just to not make it count as a blind!

Many times I dropped the Flashbang at the Killer's feet and it blew up in their faces,

and apparently they don't count as a blind. Just- HOW?!?

Just once, can they do something that's NOT poor programming? JUST ONCE?!

Are you sure it blinded them? People are struggling to get flashbangs off. Ive had survivors drop them too early or too late, or I changed direction last minute and it missed.

    Did killer have lightborn?

  • I ran into him once yesterday along with a Pig. Playing survivor is hard now after between rank reset just happened (when back to level 17) and a new playerbase. I either get killers who can't find anybody the whole match, or a high rank killer that stomps the team.

The one Nemesis I played yesterday was a bit of a db tbh. Rest of team was dead and he closed hatch. I was at exit gates on Gideon and he refused to let me finish the gates, but didn't want to hook me. He kept picking me up, let me wiggle free and then hit me again. I even offered him the tool box to finish it. It took like 5 times if this before he finally put me on hook. Such a waste of time.

I play killer a lot, and never do this. I've been going out of my way to not tunnel especially with the newer players. I play Doctor which is hard enough for new players to hit skill checks.

  • @Sonzaishinai said:

    They actually aren't half bad.

I've even seen them chain tiles together sometime.

They are like better the a third of the survivor base

As Survivor, killer is easy to loop. He just kept swinging and swinging i dropped a pallet about 30s into chase and he broke chase and left. I was hoping to work on looping skills a bit and was disappointed when he just walked away.

As killer, these survivors weren't terrible lol they chained links, stealthed and did good pallet stuns. Being Trapper with no perks was rough, but definitely fun to try.

I hope they let us try other killers. It would be fun to try a new killer in these bot matches before deciding to buy them.

  • Are there any rewards for doing tutorial?

  • @Boss said:

Here's mine, it's all about making Hex: Devour Hope work quickly without acting as its bodyguard and to fall back on decent Perks if it does get cleansed.

Used to have 3 Perks to fall back on, but with Hex: Undying in the game, it's been reduced to 2.

With the combination of Barbecue & Chili's Auras & Make Your Choice's snowball potential, a 3rd back-up Perk isn't necessary for me.

Which killer do you play as? Wraith, Nurse?

  • Elodie:

Small Game/Inner Strength/Bond/Spine Chill or something else (trying to learn to be more aware and use other perks)

    Doctor:

    Whispers/Corrupt/Surge/BBQ

    Demo:

    Whispers/Corrupt/BBQ/STBFL

    RE chapter changes:

    Survivor: Flashbang/Inner Strength/Small Game/Head On (locker/totem build)

Killer: Lethal Pursuer seems interesting, but 7 secs of aura reading for my usual mains doesn't help. I'm not going to be running PGTW for a while since Blast Mine exists now lol maybe I can use it on Wraith, but then he has all seeing blood. I can try Nurse for the Omega Blinks (LP/Corrupt Intervention/Shadowborn or BBQ or Bitter Murmur/NOED)

  • Is STBFL good with Nemesis though?

His tier 2 breaks pallets, but it requires using tentacles, which you dont get STBFL stacks. If survivors decide to self infect then they deny his M2. Demo is probably one of the best users of STBFL, but he has shred fully available at the same time as M1.

I'll probably try Whispers/Corrupt/BBQ and either Ruin or Tinkerer. But I think the earlier post about Bamboozle may be worth changing up

  • @Northener1907 said:

Where are they seriously? I am facing with them so rare. Most console players are just survivor main or they just disabled cross-platform?

I play on Switch, but mostly on weekends and nights. Ive been playing survivor more rn, but I'm like 65% killer main

I know it could be awhile before we get another licensed character, but if we do get another one soon, who do you think it’ll be and why?

From how I’ve heard more about upcoming movies for Candyman and Scream (and because of the fanbases that want them in DBD) I think it could be possible we could get Candyman and Sidney Prescott. What do y’all think overall licenses though?

Sidney won't be in game due to licensing most likely. Thats why Ghostface isn't based on the movies, but the costume itself. Its similar to why Freddy isn't based on Robert Englund's iconic character.

As far licensed go, I'd be interested in The Ring. I think there could be TVs all around the map that she can travel to, similar to Hag, but no manual set up. She can have blinks like Nurse and/or cause madness like Doctor. There's a lot that can be done with this.

I'd also be interested in Scooby-Doo Doo, Supernatural or Shaun of the Dead for survivors. Id buy them in a literal heartbeat lol

  • @Vulgun said:

A sequel to my rather infamous post regarding Counterforce, I should at least state why it will be bad for the game and give very valid arguments that will let you see the problem with it in full.

The Perk has no Counterplay And Still Rewards the User

Now I'll hear every single one of you say, "But it does have counterplay, just don't run Hex Perks!", but therein lies the problem. That's not an actual fix to the issue that this has. Even if you do not run Hex Perks, there still runs the problem of the Survivor cleansing the totems as a distraction. And if you do not run Hex Perks, that accomplishes nothing; instead, Counterforce has accomplished its task of countering the Killer in full by getting rid of their ability to use Hex Perks altogether.

Not only that, but cleansing a totem still rewards either 1000 or 1500 Bloodpoints per cleansed totem, meaning that you are still rewarded for using this perk, regardless. Even without running a Hex Perk, this perk still has an upside to it that can allow it to be used in the average match.

Hex Perks will Die Significantly Faster

Say that you do want to run your Hex Perks, your Ruins, your Devour Hopes, your (for some reason) Thrills of the Hunt. That's good and all, but expect these perks to just flat out go away within the first minute or so of the match just because of how Counterforce works, especially in tandem with the Map and Detective's Hunch.

And reminder, you gain a 20% base increase in cleansing speed for the first Totem, then a stackable 20% per Totem cleansed, meaning that all of those perks are going to die pretty fast. Unless you're a high-mobility Killer, you are more than likely not going to get them once they get your Totems.

Oh, and it doesn't help that the Perk allows you to see the furthest Totem for a few seconds, which you know, kind of speeds up the process even more.

And if you think Thrill of the Hunt will save you, it won't.

    This Perk is Competitively Unbalanced

Now, Nurse and Spirit aside (because I know people will mention them), think about how this will affect the game competitively. Many competitive Killers run Ruin + Undying for a reason, and that's to ensure that they get the most value out of their totems before they are inevitably destroyed or they can win.

Well, guess what? Goodbye Ruin + Undying for them because those Totems will die pretty fast to a potential "Cleansing Squad" or a solo "Cleaner", as I'll dub them, who'll go across the maps to scrub off all the Totems before you even get the chance to use your Hex Perks. And hey, it'll be 20% faster so that you get to hear that sweet, sweet boom of your Perks collapsing before your very eyes.

The Perks hit Worst by This Are...

    • No One Escapes Death; this is self-explanatory, since it won't see the light of day at all even in casual matches.
    • Huntress Lullaby; again, something that's going to die pretty fast as soon as people figure out that it's active.
    • Thrill of the Hunt; so remember when I said it won't save you? Well, for each totem remaining in the Trial grounds, you gain a stackable 6% reduction in Survivor cleansing speed. But for each totem cleansed, you lose 6% of that stack, meaning it's now down to 24%, then 18%, 12%, 6%.
      • Then you take into equation Counterforce's ability to gain a stackable 20% cleansing speed on totems, plus another 20% per totem cleansed. So now the real difference is:
      • 5 Totems (Counterforce vs Thrill): -10%
      • 4 Totems: +16%
      • 3 Totems: +42%
      • 2 Totems: +68%
      • 1 Totem: +94%
    • Undying; this is what the perk was probably intended to counter.
    • Ruin; same with this one.

The Third Seal, Crowd Control and Blood Favor aren't as affected by it because let's be honest, they're the worse Hex Perks to run.

The Hex Perks that will Benefit from this Are...

    • Haunted Ground; this one has the only ability to just cause the Exposed status effect on Survivors when they cleanse a totem, meaning that if you're at least a higher mobility Killer or are on top of a Survivor or two right afterwards, you'll be able to actually get value against Counterforce.
      • A powerful combination you could possibly run is to just have Haunted Ground + Undying, but a counter to that is to simply cleanse all of the Dull Totems first, then strike at the lit totems, if you can.
    • Retribution; this one will benefit from just general Survivor usage against Totems; suffering the Oblivious status effect means that you'll be able to sneak up on them within due time and take them out. It's also a benefit if they aren't running aura-counter perks so that you can see when they cleanse a Hex Totem, which will allow you to possibly intercept them on their merry way to counter your totems.
      • A very powerful combination could be utilizing this in tandem with Haunted Ground simply because you get valuable information, plus the ability to sneak up and one-hit the Survivor that used this perk (or just cleansed it in general). 10 seconds of knowing where they're going will be most beneficial.
      • This...could just be countered by two people running Counterforce.

At the End of the Day...

Counterforce is going to be a Perk that will shake up the metagame, sure, but it will do so for all the wrong reasons. What was once the potential to have a Hex Perk last either 15 seconds up to perhaps the entire match, is now a guaranteed loss of that Hex Perk long before the match is even over, and in fact, the loss of all totems before the match is over.

There's no real counterplay to this, there's no penalties for running this, and you are still rewarded for cleansing totems regardless.

Hex Totems will inevitably all die out once this perk becomes commonplace, and it's not like this Perk will be unusable once it's done its job, since you still get points for cleansing the totems.

I only see the death of Hex Totems once this perk releases Tuesday along with the Resident Evil chapter. Hex Totems were never a problem, in all honesty.

But now one Perk will always be a problem because of the threat it will always pose.

If you run Hex Perks, it will do its job. If you don't run Hex Perks, it's done its job and can do more.

If only shows you the furthest totem, so it doesn't mean automatically gone. You have to find the first totem and then travel to the furthest area to find the second. If you keep going across the map back and forth, you are wasting time not doing gens. Imagine you wasted 3 minutes searching for 2 totems only to activate HG/Retribution.

Most of the time when I play if there's no obvious hex like Ruin or Lullaby most people don't bother cleansing as it isn't affecting gameplay, only to activate NOED at the end.

I like cleansing totems, but personally I enjoy Small Game. Its consistent to find totems and has the counter to see what team is doing. I don't think counterforce will be meta shaking, it'll just be another totem option not unlike Detectives Hunch (especially with a map) or Small Game.

Now I think Blast Mine will be more meta shaking tbh. I think Ruin + Surge will increase as PGTW will get hit hard by it as its an auto blind when you kick.

In the beginning it'll be off, but it'll normalize over time to the point that you will struggle to get 2k with Pig. At that point, your skill level will match the survivors and then you'll complain that you aren't getting potato opponents and then people will tell you to git gud. Its the cycle of life lol

But seriously, Dowsey and Tru had similar matches. After a few of them, they got much better opponents.

You should play 5 more matches as Pig and post the results. If matchmaking is more fair by the 5th match then it means its working.

I skipped the twins and waited for the shrine to bring the perks.

Now that hoarder has been added the other two will soon follow.

Are any of them useful or are they all lackluster? If I can remember the only one that stood out to me was oppression but I've only seen it used against me once.

Coup de Grace could help with end game builds as you'll have 5 super lunges at the end. You could pair it with NOED. Im not a fan tbh.

Oppression I was excited for. I used to get value at lower ranks, especially with PGTW. But, these mid-higher ranks are used to hitting skill checks. You could pair it with Doctor to have a tremendously difficult backwards skill check, but even then they do get hit. I do find Oppression strong on 3 gens. You pop any gen and the other 2 start regressing. With Twins they can guard 2/3 gens and cause a stalemate at the end.

Hoarder is me, but can be a good info perk. Pair it with Franklin's Demise at hit a person with a key and hoarder still goes off. I think you can even run it with Trapper/Hag and really mess with people, especially at higher ranks.

  • I run similar build on Doctor. Corrupt + Surge + Whispers + BBQ.

I did like PGTW, but the time to go kick took away from chases.

Cool games though! Does NOED work with legions feral frenzy?

    Miner Forty-Niner for Trapper

Ghost of Captain Cutler for DeathSlinger

    Spooky Space Kook for Doctor

    Black Samurai for Oni

    The List goes on

Wraith and Myers are fun to play. They both have wall hack add ons which is fun.

I enjoy Doctor, Wraith and Myers most personally.

  • I'd say just stop responding or have an admin close this out. Hearing about somebodys personal vendetta and their version of justice is just pointless.

@latinfla4 nobody cares what you do. If you want to tbag and torment baby killers then go ahead. Nobody's stopping you, nor do we even care.

Go and play solo queue for some days.

You will see that wraiths 4 k most of the time. I even see more Spirits ending with 0 or just 1 k than Wraith.

I tried Spirit the other day and honestly couldn't find anybody at first. Wraith with wall hack is easy and I don't have to keep waiting for phase walk to recharge. So I can see why Wraith could perform better than Spirit in some ways.

  • Most of my wins are as Doctor. My build is straightforward (Whispers/BBQ/Corrupt intervention/Surge). I usually enjoy Order and Discipline add ons to reduce Static Blast cooldown and shock therapy release. If I can run double order I usually do.

I enjoy playing as Wraith and Myers a lot too. Wraith I enjoy all seeing Blood and am trying to get better perks on him (level 50 and haven't seen Whispers or NOED). Myers I enjoy 2 builds (scratched mirror and tuft of hair). I don't run tombstone as it takes forever to tier up. I use Corrupt Intervention, Whispers, Ruin and BBQ

  • Demo- 800

    Doctor-775

    Nightmare/Pig/Plague/Twins/Nemesis: 750

Pretty darn close tbh. I'm a Doctor main but have been wanting to get good with Demo. I enjoy Twins a lot too and think Plague/Pig is interesting.

I didn't do PTB (on console) but Nemesis seems right up my alley.

I'm honestly pretty shocked about his tier list placement, I used to be that guy who would say that he was mid tier but tbh after maining him for about, think around 50 hours, I'm starting to believe Doc can be A Tier material in the correct hands. Literally says no to looping, good timing can make god pallets non-pallets, god vaults can get shut down and Madness T3 has some passive slowdown, and his Static Blast basically just lets you not run as many info perks and everything and in place of info perks you can do his cooldown or aura reading addon, plus Thrilling is a godsend on him and he can be a STBFL machine with a good ear. I'm not the best doc main alive, but I'm kinda starting to believe he's either low A or high B

Ive been playing Doc as main since September-October (started playing in August). He's strong as lower-mid ranks, but has trouble applying pressure. He can run Corrupt Intervention and Thrilling Tremors, which helps but he's not able to move across map.

Solid B+ imo. Whats your build btw? I run Whispers, Corrupt Intervention, BBQ, and Surge.

His perks are( at tier 3)

    Lethal purser:

see the survivors for 7 secs at the start of the game.

    eruption:

when you kick a gen its highlighted yellow

when you down a surv all highlighted gens will regress by 6% and any survivor on the highlighted gen will get the incapacitated status effect for 14 secs

    has a cooldown of 90sec

    hysteria:

when you put a surv in the injured state with a basic attack all other surv will get the oblivious status effect for 30 secs

    60 sec coodwon

Eruption: honestly I'm more if a Surge guy rather than PGTW. I think kicking takes too long. It's easier to down a survivor and move on. Now with the Mine Blast, in even more hesitant to kicking gens. If you kick a gen that's far along, other survivors may just finish it by the time you down a survivor.

Hysteria: not worth it tbh. Oblivious effect isn't bad but the cooldown of 60s for a 30s effect isn't worth it.

Lethal Pursuer: there are late game builds (NOED, Blood Warden, etc.) And then there's early game builds (Corrupt, Ruin, Undying). LP is only an early game perk that's gone in 7s. Yes it can help you get started which is good for new killers, but the 7s of information is done. Its not like OoO where you see the auras every 30s. Id be okay with a killer version of OoO (I guess Rancor?). If I'm running LP, I feel like I'll need strong early game pressure with a back up (LP, Corrupt Intetvention, BBQ, NOED). wraith without all seeing blood could use this for strong early game pressure.

Idk I like Whispers a lot so for me its hard to justify the 7s LP for that. If they made a change where it goes off every 60s and is 4s reveal time id be okay with that. It can be 3s and reliant on distance if needs to be balanced.

    I can only buy one;

All-Kill (Trickster), A Binding of Kin (Twins), Descend Beyond (Blight), Silent Hill (Executioner), Chains of Hate (Deathslinger), or Cursed Legacy (Oni)?

I care more about the Killers than the Survivors or Perks, but good perks also help. These are the only ones that I do not own so far.

I’m personally torn between Blight (strong, challenging, and very good perks), or Deathslinger (good range but I’m bad at aiming lmao).

I will not wait for the Resident Evil chapter.

Are you on PC or Console? If PC then Blight is a scary killer even with basic Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer combo.

If console, then I'd say Executioner. The other killers require aiming which can be problematic on console. Blight got improved its hard to control on console. Same thing with Trickster and Darthslinger with aiming. Twins and Oni are in a similar boat as well.

  • Deja Vu is cool, but most gen spawns are standard and even some maps some areas are easy to 3 gen if you know the problematic gens just by playing killer (gen upstairs in Hawkins is nearly impossible to defend from a killer perspective) so survivors can save that one for last lol

I didn't buy Felix, but Deja Vu is free so I like free more lol

As a nearly 750 hour killer and 30 hour survivor i just realised that i made my biggest mistake of my gaming life when decided to main killer. Playing survivor is much more relaxing (what is the point of a video game) and rewarding (as being the power role). I just wanna shout out to all killer mains to try survivor, and have a relaxing Dead by Daylight experience. The time of killers is over, the time of survivors has come! Best wishes!

Its fun to play both. I'm like 60/40 killer/survivor. I like killer for builds I like (Jump Myers, all seeing Wraith and Doctor in general), but survivor can be sometimes better. Its annoying to wait 5 minutes for a match to be tunneled and camped and earning 6k bp. I generally try to do rule of 2. It doesn't matter if I die if I follow that rule. If I happen to escape then good!

As I saw the livestream yesterday and saw the charm. I found it really cool and the charm looks really good.

But then I did the mistake and read the chat and Twitter...

So many (Bad word here) people who write garbage like "I tunnel every one who is wearing that" and stuff that goes in the ddos direction....

I don't know if this charm is "ready" for this community and so many people react like brain dead kids.

I don't necessarily agree with pride, but I don't think people will target them specifically. Honestly charms are hard to see in general and I think if we find survivors (from afar especially) you won't see the charm.

Tunneling/slugging will still happen and if they say it afterwards then ban them.

    Counterforce

Counterforce is an excellent perk, and I think it's a pretty fair one. It's basically the new Anti-NoED perk. Forget small game. You do have to find the first totem on your own, but after that, you can go around and bust them all. It's also totally fair, since it also only shows you the furthest totem. Well desgined perk all around.

    Resurgance

I actually had a similar idea for the perk a while back. I think it'll be a pretty solid perk that can only be used twice per game. Good for anti-tunneling. It's a little better than second wind. Fairly limited in number of usage, but helps you out at your most vulnerable.

    Blast Mine

Not sure how to feel about this perk. Kicking gens is going to be a pain, more so than it already is. I do appreciate the uniqueness of the perk. I"m not sure it's something I'd ever use. Ruin makes it completely useless, as does killers who just don't kick gens. Could be pretty useful in a 3-gen situation. Can't be paired with Repressed Alliance, I'm assuming?

    Bite the Bullet

Eh, not a great perk. Might be useful for newbie players who regularly miss skill checks. I think it should have some kind of secondary effect.

    Flashbang

Not sure exactly how it works on the survivor's end. But it's kind of like Pharmacy, but for Flashlights. Or well.. Firecrackers I guess. Could prove fairly useful against campers. Blind them, and then go for the unhook when they can't see.

    Rookie Spirit

A good solo queue perk. You can sort of get an idea of what gens your team were working on with this. Low level requirements. Decent perk.

    Lethal Pursuer

I had almost this EXACT idea last August. This perk will be very useful, I think. Yeah, it only lasts 7 seconds. (Insert: So Longer than Ruin, joke). But it lets you know where you should go, where you should try leading survivors to interrupt the most number of survivors. Also if you have a hex totem, you'll know if survivors are near it or not, and whether you need to head straight for it. Basically gives you a stronger start, not unlike Corrupt Intervention. (Though Corrupt makes the map smaller, but survivors can still spawn on generators).

    Hysteria

Could be pretty interesting, though I think it needs to lose the basic attack requirement. Legion deserves a good perk, dammit!

    Eruption

It's surge, but with a more targeted base. I'm not sure how long gens stay highlighted for, or how exactly it works? Does stopping regression turn the gen non-yellow? Doesn't seem like it does, I think? Which makes this perk interesting. Though I think the cooldown should be a little shorter maybe.

Lethal Pursuer: good for new players, but honestly I play Doctor with Whispers mostly so I can free up a perk slot. I think it'll be great for new players who buy Nemesis as their starting perk.

Flashbang/Blast Mine: I can't use flashlights for my life so this will be so much better lol as killer I run Surge over PGTW so I'm not worried about Blast Mine so much. FB will be annoying lol I may run Flashbang + Inner Strength + Counterforce + Head On. You stun killer and then blind them lol

Eruption: probably the more interesting of his perks. I don't kick much but could be interesting with PGTW/Oppression. Cooldown is really long though.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/252588/so-boon-totems

I still don't really understand the Boon Totems. It's like a Hex, but for survivors?

They didn't say much in the stream. Its a new type of perk (different than hex and obsession perks) that's related to Totems.

I think it'll be a dull totem that survivors can activate creating boon totems, which will give some boost to the individual (speed, cleansing, healing, or worst case-gen repair). But I think the balance is that these boon totems are treated as dull totems in the sense of the trial. Once last gen is repaired all boon totems are extinguished and treated like regular dull totems, which will activate NOED.

Or NOED can become a regular hex or can be linked to new Mori system that was mentioned. Maybe killers have to cleanse boon totems to activate NOED.

  • I watched a few matches yesterday, but he seems interesting. I think he's going to be strong at low-mid ranks and his perks are interesting. Even his mutation rate isn't dependent on hitting survivors, he can go around taking out zombies.

Lethal Pursuer alone points new players in the right direction. Even zombies can help point players in a good direction as well. LP is a bit wasted for a whole perk slot imo, since beyond the initial aura read you are down a perk. But it can work with new killer players.

Eruption seems interesting to pair with Surge/PGTW. I think cooldown is too long, but is interesting

A lot of people may actually just wait it out such as myself (+teamates) and look at the killer wander around the map trying to patrol gens even though none of us are actually on one lol.

I run Corrupt Intervention with Doctor and Whispers. I do see people try to hide next to the corrupted gens but it rarely works in their favor. Survivors typically spawn at the furthest gens which are locked. So its almost a big arrow of come look here lol

My goal is to get 2-3 hooks before 1st gen pops. If I can tunnel 1 out from the beginning, then that means they have 3 survivors and 5 gens.

  • Leon/Claire for survivors

Zombie Hoarde or Licker for killer(s)

I'm not a fan of nurse so ill play her lol

Edit: Also I think the new way of sacrificing will be through zombie infection and survivors eventually turning.

  • I personally think PGTW is overrated. In the games I see people stop chases to kick gens or kick gens that aren't far along so they dont waste a perk slot. Ruin/Surge can do similar damage without needing time to kick gens and by engaging in chases.

Its not a bad perk, but I'd say A+/S at most

  • 1. Either reduce BP cost for bloodweb or increase BP per match. Either would work tbh.

    2. Be able to unlock perks by using BP. Some players aren't fans of the killer (Twins, Trickster, Blight) but they want the perks (Oppression, Starstruck, Undying). So instead of spending 1m BP to get to level 40, they can spend 250k BP just to unlock the perk. This will help newer players get key perks, while giving veteran players the ability to not grind as much.

    3. Last option is to open up PTB to all platforms. Console players don't have access to PTB, yet crossplay is turned on. If a significant player base can't provide feedback (i.e. Blight, Trickster) then devs are losing potential sales as they won't be as interested in killers that don't fit the platform that they plan on.

As a bonus comment to #3, I'd add motion control for platforms that support it.

    Also devs need to be more open with what they are working on. The whole colorblind comment was a fiasco. If they had just said they are working on it, instead of being rude, then they wouldn't get the backlash. Even something simple as this would work (monthly);

    1. Colorblind mode

    2. Totem location review

    3. DS review

    4. Key/Hatch review

Yea slowing down and playing other MP games seems to be the way to go right now. I know they are trying to improve the state of the game, but overall the game and the toxicity along with how the dev's are kind of handling things have been a bit frustrating. Usually I do get burned out of games most times, but honestly I've never been so burned out of a game before than dbd. I'm thinking about playing wow again on the side while I take a nice break. :) I'm glad you are doing the same also!

I never played WoW. I don't think I have the time to commit lol

I did like Diablo 3 and Fire Emblem: 3H though!
