I play Doctor with Whispers. I rarely waste a static blast.
-
I see a good variety tbh. Demo, Bubba, Myers, Nurse, GF, Wraith, Blight and Plague were all in my last 15 matches or so.
I like playing against Nurse. Playing around the blinks are fun imo.
I hate playing against Bubba. Its usually not a fun match at that point lol
-
Spirit and Twins are really sad. They were punished for no reason and had learned to live off of revenge.
Doctor is the most evil out of them all imo. He enjoyed hurting people when he was just a regular person. He never had any contempt for human life and gaining powers only made it worse. He laughs everytime he shocks somebody.

Killer (Doctor):
Whispers/Corrupt Intervention/Surge/BBQ
ALT: Starstruck/Iron Maiden/Thrilling Tremors
Survivor (Elodie):
Bond/Small Game/Inner Strength/Spine Chill

my doctor build is pure bp farming with bbq, thrill of the hunt, distressing and then sloppy butcher just 'cause. i need like... 75830257802 blood points to level all my chars, i have like 40 more to level up (bhvr please fix q_q)
my survivor build, however. is quite spicy and fun and i've had a blast running it.
this is on dwight, so that i'm not expected to have the perks i do. i run...
deception, diversion, quick & quiet, and then a 4th perk of my choosing. mostly small game, sometimes spine chill, sometimes empathy, sometimes iron will, etc.
the concept is to drop chase and waste killer time as much as i can. if i'm running empathy, this also saves my teammates quite often. if there's ever a chase near to me, or if i'm running empathy i go and seek it out, i get to run interference. i've had allies jump out of windows on haddonfield and then come running in my direction, so i've used diversion to throw the pebble in the other way. the killer comes out the window, sees the noise notification and immediately goes the wrong way. i've flapped lockers to save myself and to save my teammates. quick & quiet allows me to get into position quickly without giving information to my real position away.
i've long debated what the best 4th perk for my build might be. at any rate, i love the weird tricky perks and i love it when they work, and i know everyone's gonna be like "uhh diversion is obvious". diversion is obvious... if they know you're there. if they know it's you. if it happens for several different people, if i diversion a random corner just to make you go over there when we're not even in a chase, you're probably not even thinking about diversion.
deception hella obvious though. after the first one it basically won't work any more. i need to play around with using deception a couple times, and then legit just jumping into the locker i feinted with Q&Q.
With the exception of BBQ, the other perks just help get to 8k, not bonus BP for post game. You'd be better off running survivor pudding, BPS, hollow shells, or wreath offerings for BP gains.
-
Killer: Doctor
Whispers: I hate wasting Static Blast so this is a great perk. Also helps me determine if survivors are in lockers.
Corrupt Intervention: initial game slowdown. Doctor doesn't have high mobility so he need the early game to generate preasurepressure. I was running PGTW here but I found myself either constantly trying to find gens to kick or wasting a perk slot. Surge is passive and can hit multiple gens. I can continue to find survivors without needing to kick.
BBQ: good locating perk after hooking. Since im not running PGTW I can engage in another chase immediately versus looking for a gen to kick within 45s. I am considering dropping this for Iron Maiden or Starstruck

I run a Hex build on Bubba and it's pretty fun. Ruin, Undying, Crowd Control, and Retribution. I don't think I ever recall losing with that build yet.
Oh and for survivor, Hunch, DH because I suck at chases, Windows of Opportunity, and Any Means Necessary. AMN and WoP is a pretty good combo tbh.
Did you ever consider Haunted Grounds over Crowd Control? Ruin will force them to look for totems. If they pop haunted grounds first they get exposed and auras are revealed for 10s due to Retribution. If Undying was still up, I think you get a 2nd Haunted Ground
-
I'm waiting for Starstruck on Doctor. I keep getting Undying Light lol
When I get the perks I want, I got them to tier 3 quickly. I unlocked Surge through SoS last week and 2 bloodwebs gave me surge, and then next two bloodwebs gave me surge 2 and then surge 3.
-
Zombie Hoarde!
Start off with 5 zombies. 4 move at base 3.8 and you can move 4.10. Every 30s 2 new zombies appear. You can move in between zombies who can hold survivors in place.
-
Whispers and Surge are part of my doctor build now
Oppression, Thrilling Tremors, Spies from the Shadows are fun too. Doctor is one of the versatile killers that can run multiple sets well.
-
As a killer I like to farm with last survivor only if I down them. Ill let them do a gen while I look for hatch. Ill let them pallet stun me and stuff like that.
Survivor BP is so low and hatch escape is an extra 7500BP alone. Plus it helps me get extra chase points and I got mostly golden/iri emblems at that point. So one extra hook will cost me what 800BP maybe 1600 with BBQ. I think I can give the last survivor the 7500 vs. My 1600 lol its a game and rankings can be stressful so its good to meet some good friends on here. I had a survivor add me and we played SWF after.
I did have a match where survivors wanted to farm. I killed the person before I noticed lol I thought they were sandbagging pointing to the lockers lol
-
I'd be exited for them in DBD. Skins are fun but I'd rather go for original characters.
Shaggy Perks
1. Scaredy Cat: When killer is near, you leave no scratchmarks and make no sounds of pain for 15s. Cooldown of 60/50/40s.
2. Scooby Snack: Consume 1 Scooby-Doo snack when injured to heal one state. Consume 1 Scooby-Doo snack when healthy to gain haste status for 15s. 1/2/3 Scooby-Doo snacks per trial.
3. Zoinks!: once per trial you can set up a trap to incapacitate killer for 10/12/14s.
I'd be 100% down for this lol

I’m not talking to the people who consider themself a Killer Main because they play, primarily, the Killer side of the game... but to those who specifically played one Killer consistently. You ‘Main’ that one specific Killer, either to this day of not.
You can answer how you want but I’ll pose some questions to sort of dig out what I’m mostly looking to read.
- Who did you Main?
- Why did you Main them?
- Did they change drastically over your time with them?
- Did you “drop” that Killer almost immediately or after a long period of time?
- or Did you adapt to the changes and continue to Main them?
- Did you find a New Main? Who?
- If your Killer hasn’t had any drastic changes or your still fairly new to the game...do you think you would be the type to give up on your Main or continue using them no matter the changes?
I’ve noticed, in my time with BHVR, the way a Killer feels or plays can be changed so much that it can affect the player who plays them, in varying degrees. Just wanna read up a lil about Killers and their choices they made, over their time with DbD.
I think several Killer Mains had, at some point, have to reflect on the Killer they chose to Main (because of changes made to their Killer Power or Kit) and had to choose to stick it out or give it up. I’m looking for those insights.
1. Doctor
2. I was new at the time and had trouble finding survivors. Doctors ability seems simple enough (find survivors and hit them). I realized later how he denies actions so Shock Therapy became a great tool by itself.
3. I started playing in August 2020, so he only received new perks that help (Oppression, Starstruck)
4/5/6. I played Twins and Myers for a while, but ultimately came back to Doctor.
7. Depends. If its a complete rework of his power for the worse then may change. If its a add on change or improvement ill probably continue to play him.
I'm going to add another question; what changes do you want for your main?
8. 2 main changes for Doctor; shock therapy should do damage on top of 0.5 madness tier increase. So if a person goes from tier to tier 3 they become injured. They can't be put into dying state. 2ne change is cooldown for Static Blast. If no targets are hit cooldown should be 20s versus 60s. You get at most 10-13 Static Blasts per match (with double order add ons) for a 10 minute match. Missing one strip you of a valuable tool. No other killer gets punished in the same way for using their power. Blight/Nurse/Bubba recharge multiple charges quickly. Even Bubba loses what 8s for tantrum? But then recharges multiple charges very quickly. Deathslinger is probably the closest to being punished, but even then he takes a few seconds to reload.

Why can't the devs make the game playable without a nso subscription like fortnite (first game that came to mind) does?
NSO supports other games too (Splatoon2, Pokemon) and you get the classic games too. Its not that expensive tbh.
And you don't have to buy a rift pass on Switch.
-
I started playing in August 2020. I had a gift card so I was able to get the game and some DLC for free. I've only dropped 20 for Twins and some other DLC.
I don't think DBD is a pay to win, but grind to win. Game is not forgiving to new players. Im at a level now that I'm happy with killer and survivor builds and I have 750k and 2k of shards (I just got Surge).
I think they either need to have older perks that are available for shard buy as opposed to waiting for Shrine of Secrets or allow us to buy with BP. I think blood events should happen once a month to help build up the currency. We don't need triple or double events, but even 1.5 is enticing enough but eases the grind pain
-
I think your issue was that you didn't commit to chases tbh. Thano caps off at 20% if all 4 are injured. That's only 16s extra if all 4 survivors are down. If you had slugged the first and hooked the second, it would've forced the ither 2 survivors off of the gens then you get some good ruin value.
Gen speeds are fine tbh. If you were constantly up against SWF with good perks, purple toolboxes with BNP, then sure let's talk gen speeds.
But as it was that wasn't the case. Corrupt Intervention slows game a bit so you can build up steam (not sure who you're playing as, whether they need set up like Trapper or Hag).
If you aren't good at finding people (not sure if this was a 1 time issue or otherwise) you can drop BBQ for bitter murmur. You'll get tinkerer value and then post pop value so you get almost 30s of knowing where people are (20 s tinkerer and bitter murmur).
Gen rush happens but not to the frequency that most people think. Most of the time it comes down to killers not applying pressure
What else is a survivor to do but sit on a gen? Its not their fault killer can't find them
-

Even though I dont have an opinion about it and im not on anyones side I just want to know what you guys think.
What do you define as casual? I have a family so I play maybe a few hours a week. If you are new and dc, then yes you are making game worse. Survivors won't be able to win in most cases of a dc and killers lose points overall because they decided to dc on first hook.
I think survivor is designed for casual and play with friends due to nature of skill checks. Killer not so much. You need to invest a good amount of time just to get decent as killer. I don't think casual killers who get bullied Will continue to play, which in turns hurts survivor queue.

Bubba and Twins are worst. They are so sweaty lol
Demo, Plague, Huntress are usually pretty chill.

All I hear is "They're somewhere on the map. They're somewhere on the map." Because I don't know distance. It's also not obvious to me that they're not behind me because, couldn't someone just run into my radius from behind me? Like, unless I knew for sure that the behind part of the radius had covered the whole map and all possible hiding spots? Which I don't, because I don't know distances?
Its not possible for them to move behind you unless you were moving forward at a slower speed than they were moving (i.e. deathslinger aim, huntress wind up, etc.) Or they activated sprint burst behind you to get closer for some reason lol You naturally move faster for all killers (4.4m/s is standard while all survivors move at standard 4.0m/s). Alternative is if you stopped moving and then yes they could move and activate Whispers.
Distance and geometry are key to really utilizing Whispers to the maximum. Its like small game but with 180 degrees vs. 45 degrees but with no cooldown and longer activation range.
-
@Hex_Llama said:
I don't think about physical space in terms of distances, so, when a perk tells me someone is within X meters, it may as well just say "Someone else is on the map." I have no idea how close or far that is.
As for how I play without being able to find the last person... I just accept that the last person might escape. It's not a big deal to me if they do.
Whispers is more than just person is on same map. If it activates then that person is 32m (assuming tier 3) within range. Well obviously they're not behind you since it just went off. So if its 32m diameter circle for your TR, your semi-circle in front is 16m which a survivor is somewhere in there most likely. You can move left and right. If Whispers turns off as you move left, then move the other way. Its a compass that points you in the right direction with relative certainty until you either 1. See the person or 2. See scratch marks as they run away.
If you can understand how to maximize Whispers you waste less time guessing and more time in chases.
-
@IWasLeft2Die said:
I prefer spies from the shadows more than Whispers since it gives more direction, not many people run calm spirit, and it works well on most maps (bodies multiple level maps but that info can still be helpful often)
I actually did a rift challenge for SftS and I used Doctor on Lerys. Static Blast and then increasing TR forced them to run and scare the crows.
I just hate when I'm on a multi-story map and it goes off above my head like on Midwich. I can't do much and sort of gives direction.

Discordance is really helpful locating survivors. Also, if you're playing a killer with a smaller terror radius, M&A is really helpful too.
I like Discordance but I found it to backfire in 2 ways;
1. Survivors didn't work together on same gen so it never goes off.
2. They start working on a gen together, I find them. They do it again, I find them again. They realize that I have Discordance and then number 1 happens again.

Doc. I play doctor
I play Doctor too and Whispers is a key part of my build. Non-whispers Doctors use Static Blast to find survivors. I use it to guarantee madness level increase or confirm if they are hiding in a locker in my TR. 60s cooldown is too long for Static Blast. If it were 30s then Whispers wouldn't be needed as much. Matches last an average of 10 minutes. So you only get 10 Static Blasts per match essentially. If you waste the first 3 trying to find survivors then your match will be even shorter as you are probably not pressuring gens.
-
If you have a SWF then you can have 1 person just focus on totems. You can have an OoO to take pressure off of totem breaker.
I love doing totems. I do at least 2 every match which is part if my build for Inner Strength.
I don't think its possible for a person in soloq to do 5 totems by themselves in the current state. The new Small Game Buff will change that with a totem counter and decreasing cone for more accurate finding.
You also have Detectives Hunch + Maps.
Sometimes it may amount to nothing, but other times I'm glad I did those bones lol
I also had a match where I did 3 totems and 2 gens and NOED still activated.
-
@Trickstaaaaa said:
I mean to me I don't view gen rushing as thing. I view it as the only mission of survivors. I don't get why survivors would want to purposely prolong the match. Their objective is to escape as quick as possible, so doing gens as quick as possible. Like why would they take their sweet time, just to give the killer more time to hunt them down. It does not make sense to me why some people think gen rushing can truly be a thing. Yeah I had matches were survivors did the gens in less than 5 minutes, but it's their only objective.
A killer who can't apply pressure is different than. A SWF with brand new parts and purple tool boxes. Latter is more gen rushing but most time its thr former

It’s people not playing him. If the amount of games I get with 3 to 4 kills is honestly surprising. People don’t expect you to be able to find them immediately cause you can shock half the map. What perks do you run, I don’t find many other doc mains so I’m curious
I run a few perk builds, but right now I'm running the below build:
Whispers: I love static blast but the cooldown is too long, even with order add ons. Whispers guarantees at least 1 hit, or it can show me if somebody is hiding in locker since Whispers activates but Static Blast missed.
Corrupt Intervention: Doctor doesn't have any way to cross map quickly so locking 3 furthest gens gives me time to build up steam.
BBQ: generic perk for locating and BP lol
PGTW: only gen regression in my build when I have time to kick.
Goal is to minimize searching time and apply pressure.
I'm thinking of dropping BBQ for Iron Maiden as it'll give me information, but exposes them at the same time.
Ive had fun with PGTW and Oppression but I find it hard to continously keep kicking gens.
PGTW is okay too, but I am thinking of switching to either Surge or Starstruck to either down another survivor or auto regress gens. This is probably better for my playstyle since I don't have to kick gens.
You can also run Starstruck and Infectious Fright for instant information.
I also had fun with Corrupt Intervention + Thrilling Tremors combo for again slowing game down and information.

Doc and Bubba are pretty underrated.
Doctor is the number 2 with most kills in red ranks and number 5 overall from stats posted last year. A good doctor is scary. He's my main and I enjoy him immensely!
I wonder if its more of his power is more complex so people get turned off by him, so survivors aren't use to playing against him. Ive seen ranks 10-15 pallet camp and I laugh as I hit shock therapy lol
-
Matches after rank reset are hard. Im sorry you had that experience. I play both killer and survivor (really enjoying survivor lately though). Killers are sweaty to get ranks back up and SWF are common for same reason. Id say give it a few days and it should get better.
In regards to the example, bodyblocking and BT is hard. Id say if this keeps happening run NOED or Starstruck and punish them. Id also turn off chat and just move on.
Not all survivors are bad, so don't lose all hope.

I love DBD, I discovered it like a year ago and have hundreds of hours of gameplay in it. I play Survivor and Killer equally. I remember when I started off playing as Killer, Noed was the best thing ever, down those annoying survivors with one smack, it was beautiful. But the truth is, it’s such a crap perk which obviously skews balance data making kills per game look much more balanced when it simply wasn’t deserved.
I can’t count how many games have ended with atleast two kills because of Noed when the killer was doing so badly doing regular time.
It’s honestly a joke of a perk for killers that don’t have skill, honestly when I see someone is using it I roll my eyes thinking I knew this is the kind of player that would be running it. It does surprise me when better killers use it from time to time.
I will admit though the only thing which makes it a little exciting is running around the map at the end looking for the totem to break it and knowing you could get spotted, never ever fun finding out you’re the first one downed by it though.
I play both so ill comment as survivor first. I run Small Game + Inner Strength. I cleansed 3 totems in a match and NOED still activated. Doing 3 totems at 14s a piece plus search time could've been an entire gen completed. Totems and risk of NOED either slows the game or benefits killer at the end. So I see totems in general healthy for the meta. NOED punishes survivors who don't want to slow the game down. Killer is running a handicap from the beginning so I think that they will get outplayed because they are have a 25% handicap.
As a killer, NOED is unreliable but some killers enjoy the end game pressure and make builds around it (No way out, NOED, Blood Warden, Undying). Its a not a crutch perk at that point, but a strategy that punishes and puts a lot of pressure on end game. Most people don't do this strategy I know but still

If be happy with Re4 pack especially with Re4 VR being released.
I'm hoping for horde zombies as opposed to specific villain. I think seeing a bunch of zombies come after you is more scary than 1 villain imo
-
Leon would be a good choice for survivor. He is the classic and they did announce RE4 for VR.
I personally think it's hard to imagine Nemesis or any of these big mutants. Can you imagine pallet stunning Nemesis and he groans in pain. I mean yes I get they're weaker, but most of the corporeal killers feel some pain in the movies or lore (Trapper, Bubba, Ghostface, Freddy).
I am actually hoping for horde of zombies that are autonomous led by a Licker as the main. Licker is essentially a fast M1 killer but zombie hoardes are drawn to you and can hold you for a certain time. Licker gets notified. The mechanics are there already (crushing Victor for the hold mechanic, killer instinct for notification). Im also okay with just a hoarde of zombies that increase over time (start off with 6 zombies; 5 auto + 1 live and then every 30s a new zombie joins) this could even work similar to Hag traps/Demo portals in regards to switching.
I'm hoping for Raccoon City for a map though.

Playing as a stealth killer? Well don’t worry the loading screen will drop “tips” saying “when facing Ghostface” or Myers etc. Doesn’t that ruin the element of surprise for the Killer cause now the survivors know who they are facing off the bat. By that point might as well show the Killer in the loading screen lobby.
Its either a new person who doesn't have a clue (didnt load amy perks,, can't find gens, dead hards into a wall, crouching around with urban evasion, hiding in lockers, self cares in a corner or is looking for hatch from the beginning) or its a smurf account and you are going to get wrecked.

Well it's not confirmed by that would be cool if ther were zombies roaming around the map and loud actions drew them to you grabbing you and you have to hit a series of skill checks to avoid takeing damage
I like this idea or even bites slowly turn you into a zombie so you lose control over character and begin hurting team objectives.
I think multiple zombies that are autonomous and killer can switch between them. But the speed will be slow so you'll need lots of zombies to make it fair (10-15). You can switch like Hag traps or demo portals.
Licker would be interesting to climb walls though. Its powerful, but I think too similar to Demo. Although a ranged tongue attack sounds good (PH)

Don't get me wrong, I am very excited for resident evil to be in DBD, but I am also confused.
But there is just one burning question I have, why reveal RE now? "All-kill" LITERALLY dropped two weeks and one day ago as of today.
The shortest BHVR releases or even starts to tease new chapters is 3 months, it hasn't even been one and they just straight up told us that RE was coming to DBD in the next patch. It seems so early.
My concern is how they will take a creature from resident evil and fit it into this game. Will they take Mr. X, an unstoppable unit in RE and make him be stopped by pallets and windows? Will they take lady dimitrescu and do the same? Who knows right now? Maybe they will bring a brand new kind of killer in that actually fits. I mean just look at demo dog. In Stranger things, he was borderline unstoppable. In DBD he is stopped by a block of wood.
Why would they take the spotlight off of the Trickster so fast? It is even worse because the Trickster is supposed to be a showman kind of killer, a narcissist thriving off of attention. His chapter seems so out of place now since resident evil is coming, a huge title that completely overshadows the last chapter.
It is just really weird how they are straight-up telling us "Yes, resident evil is coming to DBD" TWO WEEKS after "All-kill".
My guess? I think they actually have big plans for the game. I am an optimist, so I think that they are going to do A LOT with this resident evil chapter, more than just a new map, killer, survivor. I am talking about a massive patch to the game with things we don't even know are coming yet. Mclean did say that we are going to see some cool things soon.
Aside from the very big question "Why reveal RE now?", I am looking forward to this chapter and I can't wait to see what is coming.
Why not hype it up though? One of the biggest issues they had was not keeping us in the loop. Colorblind issue they were clearly working on, but that dev was all stupid about it so they had to say something then. It was probably pressure from Capcom, but maybe BHVR will learn that some mystery is good, but we like to be in the loop. So I'm okay with hype.

Where the game stands the BP caps don't serve much as purpose beyond just hindering progress in the game. They don't indicate how your emblems will be (I've maxed out each in a game and still didn't pip). I'd love for the emblems to be based on the different categories myself, while also at least increase BP gains. The game has so much to unlock that if the concern is people would unlock things too quick it will still takes ages even with farming
Is the concern more of a increasing/removing BP cap or increasing gains?
I'm okay with increasing cap from 1 to 2m. Whenever a new DLC is released you can use 1m each to fully level up characters. However this is the design that works for DBD grind from a dev standpoint.
By having 2 characters released for a DLC, but limiting cap to 1m, it forces you to do the 1m grind to level up the 2nd character, forcing you to play. If you had the 2m already there, then there's no need to play.
By capping specifically at 1m, it encourages gameplay, spending BP so you don't waste it, which in turn perpetuates the cycle of DBD grind.
So a higher cap is nice, but I would prefer more double BP events. Every weekend is too much, but one weekend a month would be fair and they can lower it to 1.5x to compensate for the frequency. It's not enough to tilt the BP grind to the point of not needing to play, but its enticing enough to guarantee gameplay every month

Demo got buffed with PTB changes imo. Lifeguard Whistle is such a solid add on alone. I say go for it!

I used Distressing on the pre-rework doc, but started experimenting with MnA and Calm builds right after he got reworked. I typically run it with a red-stain addin or fake pallets for extra LOLs, but I may start running range extensions again.
You can try Starstruck on Doctor, but I wouldn't run it with Distressing or Double Calm add ons. It can discourage rescuers or body blockers, but having somebody exposed on the other side of map won't benefit Doctor directly as he can't haul his butt that fast to take advantage.
I suppose it could work on a small indoor map like Lery's or Game as they won't know where he is with 100% certainty. You could run Thrilling Tremors with Starstruck to get them off gens and expose them lol
-
Doctor (Frosty Eyes and P1 Weapon)
Whispers: no static blast wasted and helps find survivors in lockers in my TR.
PGTW: pretty bland but helps. I was using Oppression, but I get more bang out of this for an immediate 25% regression.
Corrupt Intervention: Early game is weak for Doctor so i use the early game to get madness up, some hooks hopefully lol
BBQ: another locating perk that is cool, but I got used to Whispers. I am considering switching to Iron Maiden to punish locker hiders more lol
Add ons: I enjoy Order and Restraint lately. Order reduces Static Blast cooldown and Restraint gives me aura tracking.
My overall build is centered around eliminating time looking for survivors while maximizing Static Blast usage. Rank up madness, regress gens, hook survivors and repeat lol

Stridor the best then sloppy
I guess this could be helpful on healthy survivors. I play mostly at night when son and wife are sleeping, so TV can't be too loud and I don't have headphones. So I prefer visual cues (i.e. Whispers going off, Spine Chill activating, or even something like Spies from the Shadows) since I can't have volume up too loud. Sloppy Butcher helps increase bleeding frequency which is excellent for finishing them off with Victor.

Like I play killer and survivor almost equally. But on both sides these two perks are almost in every round 2-3 times. I like the perks to and use it often but when ruin and undying both got nerfed because they were overused then it also should happening to survivor perks to be fair.
I play both as well, however I think the issue was more of a QOL change rather than purposely shaking up the meta. Undying had potential to let ruin last all match, which was oppressive and unhealthy.
I think some recent buff discussions are to help other perks shine more (Open Handed, Diversion, Iron Maiden). These changes encourage shakeup in the meta.
Spine chill i don't think needs a nerf. It can actually hurt survivors in some matches since it'll make them anxious. Other than stealth killers (Wraith, GF, EW1 Myers, Spirit) it doesn't really hurt killers. I play Doctor so ill know where you are regardless of Spine Chill. It's just makes your skill checks even harder when madness hits and its activated lol
Funny story though! I was on Coldwind against Billy. Across the map, i see a hooked person and the rescuer and Billy thanks to Kindred. Im working on a gen as the unhook happens and I get to 70%. I hear a chainsaw but figure he's going after the 2 people on that side of the map. Nope lol all of a sudden I see Spine Chill go off and then 2 seconds later Billy comes flying out of the corn and hits me right in the face lol I should've assumed Tinkerer but oh well lol

Here are some things I’ve learned.
- I don’t care anymore if a survivor kidnaps Victor. If they want to willingly remove themselves from participating in their objective, fine. In fact in a lot of cases, except where Charlotte was already close by after a successful pounce, I don’t even bother searching out whoever Victor was attached to. If I come across them, so be it.
- It’s an absolutely fantastic trap to switch Victor back to Charlotte during a difficult chase, then quickly back to Victor. Many survivors cannot resist the opportunity to try and crush idle Victor, only to put themselves in a very vulnerable position if the switch is fast enough.
- I still find being repeatedly crushed by survivors that are experts at dodging Victor’s Pounce very frustrating. But now when this occurs early on I switch Victor to sentry mode, hidden away near high traffic areas. Often this results in the same survivor behaviour, and opportunity, as the above stated trap.
- It’s incredibly satisfying using Charlotte to completely block certain access points, at select loops before unleashing Victor on a survivor. It just feels great to pounce on a Survivor that has just put themselves in a “dead end”.
Twins are a lot of fun. Once you find the balance between Victor and Charlotte they have a lot of potential.
They are probably the strongest killers to hold a 3-4 gen. If you have a close cluster its difficult to break. Set up Victor between 2 gens and then Charlotte can patrol the other two. Switch every 60s and slug as often as possible.
Whispers/Corrupt Intervention/PGTW/Oppression was my build.
Sloppy Butcher is great for Victor tracking too

I don't have DS so I can't comment on before or after, but I had some chill killers lately. I had a huntress who wanted to farm since I was last and then a blight carried me to hatch.
I do offer them my item and crouch at their feet but I've been having fun in most matches lately

I don't like jump scares as survivor, so any stealth killer bugs me and then Doctor scares me with Static Blast causing the scream which makes me jump lol

I already have my build for starstruck.
Monitor, starstruck, distressing, unnerving presence.
This'll make doctor that bit more terrifying.
Everyone is exposed for 32 seconds.
M&A decreases your TR when not in a chase, but then Distressing increases by 26%. Wouldnt it make sense to get rid of M&A and use double calm add ons for huge TR?
I don't like Starstruck on doctor tbh. Its okay for people in his TR, but having everybody exposed for 30s means nothing when he can't get across the map that quickly.

Survivor: Nancy. Im currently running Spine Chill, Kindred, Small Game and Inner Strength
Killer: Twins. Oppression is such a good perk on them. You can run Whispers, Sloppy Butcher, Oppression and another perk. Hoarder could be fun for info, but then I think Spies from the Shadows would be better since once you hear Charlotte, Victor can be deployed any second so you run.
I also like Doctor. Whispers (tier 2), Distressing, Sloppy Butcher and Overcharge is fun. Tier 2 Whispers (tier 3 is just 32m so tier 2 matches your bigger TR so you don't have to wait for Whispers do go off before you activate static blast) and Disatressing/Double Calm add ons hits a lot.

WGLF is great but you will get hit doing so most matches. As a killer main who also switched due to more chill, I found a build i like and dump any BP into characters. I find survivors is less item reliant than killers, so they don't need to spend BP as much. Even if you like items you can get perks to help you get new items in game (Plunderers/Detectives Hunch). If you are looking to BP farm I would say go be a killer. If you want a more chill experience, but slower BP yield then play survivor.
Build I am going for is Diversion, Detectives Hunch, Kindred and Inner Strength. IS is already unlocked and I'm working on diversion now.
But my actual build now is Kindred, Small Game, IS and Spine Chill. It allows me to find totems, do gens and support team which yields okay BP, but is tough if I'm tunneled and camped. 10 min queue and I'm done 4 mins in for only 8k BP lol

I'm a rank 15 survivor and have been doing okay lately. I'm usually the last one alive but offer items to killers so they'll let me escape. I had 2 matches over the last few days where a cool huntress wanted to farm and let me go and then a rank 9 blight let me go to hatch.
I have seen face camping more often and tunneling from more sweaty killers though.
But my goal has been to at least do the 2x2 rule (2 gens, 2 totems, 2 hook rescue and 2 good chases). Even without nice killers ive been accomplishing these goals in most matches.

Kindred, Spine Chill, Small Game, Inner Strength
I'm a soloq player so my build is mainly built around keeping myself healthy (no self care lol) and aware while giving team info with Kindred.
Small Game and IS are fun to use since it'll takes 14s to cleanse a totem and 8s to heal with locker. I may drop Spine Chill for Head On or Diversion.

I use Spine Chill but my main issue is that I play at night time when my son and wife are sleeping. Game is already loud enough without me turning up louder. So I do appreciate the visual cue that they are near.
I also hate stealth killers so for me and again cant turn the volume up with risk of waking up family. I'm not that invested to get headphones as well

Oh, I'm not complaining! It literally made my heart skip a beat and and my butt cheeks clench together hard enough to turn coal into diamond. It's the one aspect I miss from being new to the game, actually getting scared. I just wish they'd move away from chases a bit to more jump scares (I know I'm in the minority, but its what I want). Its what got me sucked into this game.
I hate jump scares lol I'm such a scaredy cat lol
Its why I played killer at first, but then Elodie came out and caused me to jump as killer when she screamed lol
I play survivor more now, and have only seen 2 demos. The last one was good, but not stealthy. He had a 3 gen and 2 survivors left (including myself after 1 dc). He laid down portals at the gens and me and the other survivor kept alternating between gen and cleansing. We popped the last gen, but then other teammate got downed and he camped. I escaped but it was a fun match. Demo players are usually fun
