Hillbilly/Bubba would be up there due to the chainsaws lol
Based on lore, Doctor would make me anxious. He doesn't necessarily have to kill, but will leave you as a potato.

Yeah, my build uses the Vanity Mirror and not the Scratched Mirror. I HAVE thought about using Agitation, but the unfortunate effect of Agitation is that your terror radius gets 12 meters bigger. And if you trigger chase while carrying, (which should happen if a survivor is trying to body block), it's extended by another 8 meters because of Monitor and Abuse. and well, I think that's too big of a radius to be a jump scare. Survivors will notice before it's too late, and they'll abandon the block. Now, I get that it also raises your speed, making escapes less likely, but I'm not sure that the extra speed will be enough for a down if the survivor is paying attention, because tier 2 Myers with Vanity Mirror is even slower than normal tier 2 Myers.
I played a lot of Myers over the past few months (love scratched mirror!) And tried vanity. Its really hard to use, even on good indoor maps.
That small of a TR would require them to be literally on top of you to activate at that point they will see you and run away, which isn't an issue with your decreased tier 2 speed. Also, If they have Kindred, then it doesn't even matter as they will see you camping and waiting.
Its a hard strategy on top of an already not great meme build for vanity. You may as well run Insidous Basement Bubba as that will catch more people off guard.
Starstruck can have a place on certain killers. High mobility is great and even Doctor has the niche of being able to find them quickly with Static Blast. I don't think its viable on mirorr builds Myers due to the issues with his TR. It could work for regular Myers, but then he has EW3 to insta-down without the need of a perk to do so.

I have not heard this issue what's going on exactly? What are people supposedly doing? I'm curious as I've not heard about it all.
Besides aren't colorblind modes very existence gonna make it easier to see some things even if you aren't colorblind.
As a colorblind person some maps are really difficult to see scratch marks to the point that we are at a significant disadvantage. I'm red weak colorblind, so the red is drained out of the color. So scratch marks aren't as bright. On maps like Ormond I do great on just because its red on white. But give me red dawg saloon and I'm completely blind. Normal people lose scratch marks on the grass on that map, I lose them almost every time.
Some non-colorblind people can adjust the settings to a brighter color. It could help new people, but most killers are accustomed to tracking even with the normal colors, so it won't give them an advantage over the survivors as the marks still last as long as they normally do.
They did change the aura colors, which I didn't have too much of an issue with, but I'm okay with it.
I haven't tried the settings yet since I gave up dbd for holy week, but am looking to trying them next weekend.

Whispers and Spies together. Whispers to get to the area and Spies for the precise location.
I ran this for a rift challenge with Doctor and 4k on Lerys. Static Blast and then hearing my TR got them running which activated spies lol
You can run Restraint add ons to see auras for a certain time after madness goes up lol

I run small game and Inner Strength. I usually end up cleansing at least 2 totems per match. If another person does the same thing, and then on person does a random a totem, then thats all 5.
I'm happy if I can do 2 gens, 2 totems, 2 heals and 2 chases in a match. Thats usually enough to pip, or feel that you contributed to a match.

Sometimes it feels like only a small amount of players play killer and survivor. Or they play one side not thar much like a 80/20 ratio.
But many player i know personally play both sides, so i think it only seems like it. Or most of this one-side-player are new player.
Do you play both sides? And has someone any data about the entire DbD-community?
I started playing in August 2020. I tried survivor but didn't like it. I don't like jump scares. So I played killer only for a while. I tried Elodie because I liked her Christmas sweater lol after that I realized that its good to play both. As playing killer for a long time, I realized how I could be a good survivor as to what strategies work. I also learned good killer etiquette. Getting face camped and tunneled is no fun. So then I went back to killer with better survivor tactics and strategies.
I played killer for awhile and found myself enjoying the game more, even when 0 kills. I enjoy seeing good plays more. I give hatch out more often, usually avoid tunneling and camping and find myself having fun and punishing survivors less.
-
Good to see Elodie so high! She's the reason I started playing as survivor (not her screams though lol).
-
I keep dead harding into walls lol
I'm a killer main so cut me some slack lol
You want to look behind to time it, but then you're not looking forward. I'm guessing red stain is a good indicator.
I'm just trying to level up David to unlock WGLF.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/237533/nerf-noed
Look I agree with you nerf noed by all means but if you are running small game it makes your life a lot easier yesterday I had a pig using third seal and blinding traps 30 times worse than noed .I get it every game every killer . But if your playing solo it is hard to check remember bone spots keeping track and depiping for not doing gens. And no guarantee that survivors will get you.Cause some think your not doing anything .For all you all please cleanse your totems teach other survivors to cleanse there totems cause I'm not looking for noed when the gates pop cause you didn't cleanse your totems if your playing solo just leave and on to the next match.
So Third Seal hides the boxes for pig? Thats really funny lol I got Pig but never thought of that. Does it also only let Kindred show for your teammates and not yourself?
But in regards to NOED (from both killer and survivor player) I'm okay with it both as is, or a slight change.
As a killer, we are running essentially 1 perk short for the main part of match, which puts survivors at a bigger advantage overall. So to cram a powerful perk at the EGC as opposed to using a constant better perk in the beginning is fair exchange.
As a survivor it is frustrating i can see how it is frustrating to do everything right and still get killed. One thing to note is that its still a pip even if you die as long as you follow the rule of 2 (2 gens, 2 totems). I do totems since I run Small Game and Inner Strength.
My proposed change would be that the exposed status only applies to survivors who haven't done any bones. To balance it out, then killer gets to see the aura of the exposed. If 4 totems are done by 4 survivors, then there will be no exposed status but killer gets a cooldown on attacks on top of haste status until hex is cleansed.
-
As a Doctor main, he's fun to use a solid B+ imo.
His main issues is that he's a complicated M1 killer. He can't pressure whole maps without slugging or running Distressing/Calm add ons. He does good with loops but is dependent on the user knowing how to time shocks.
If you look at other high rank killers, they can move so quickly and add similar pressure (Spirit, Nurse, Freddy).
Doctor is fun to use and will be my favorite so maybe I'm bias lol

@Firellius said:
I think Doctor was the second or third highest kill rate killer in that graphic BHVR released, so I suspect he's a lot stronger than people give him credit.
2nd in red ranks! Just behind Freddy!
Number 4 overall in all ranks!
-
If no survivors are sacrificed by the time you have a 3 gen its essentially a loss. So have NOED and go crazy lol
However if you have a strong 3 gen and at least 1 survivor is gone, then you have a chance. I love Doctor. His TR will hit all survivors in the 3gen zone. I do like PGTW and Oppression for this. PGTW causes immediate 25% regression on top of causing other 2 gens to either start regressing or cause difficult skill checks on top of madness checks. Time to snap out of it will cause gens to regress enough to start cycle again. Ive held multiple games hostage because of this.
Also Twins are great at 3-4gen. You can set up Victor at the far one and then have Charlotte patrol the 2 gens (so much easier to defend). You can pair it with PGTW and Oppression again. Slug some survivors and it could be easy .
-
Doctor: You are new to the game, possibly too afraid to play as survivor because of jump scares. You can't find survivors for the life of you, so you play as Doctor. You enjoy the laughing as it eases the tension that you had previously hated as survivor.
-
I'm a killer main who's been playing more Survivor lately (less stress vs. Longer queues). My build is the following:
Spine Chill: I usually play late at night or afternoon when son is sleeping, so I can't have the volume up too loud on TV. I also hate stealth killers (Myers!). So spine chill is a visual cue that killer is near with no cooldown
Kindred: must have for soloq. Information to your team is important so Kindred is such a great tool as you can coordinate.
Inner strength: I like IS since it came out on shrine. Healing time is 8 seconds, which is faster than a med kit or self care (killer perk imo). It also frees up my item so I can run something that hurts killers objective (i.e. toolbox, flashlight, key, map). I usually do tool box lol
Small game: helps me find totems and traps. Goes great with IS. It also alerts me to traps on ground, which is helpful. Some of trappers traps are so dark I can't see them. So getting the cue is helpful. Considering switching to Detectives Hunch but don't like being reliant on gens popping to get info.
Other great perks for soloq (especially if new!) are the following:
Deja Vu: Gens are revealed to you which eliminates searching time.
Bond: Again information perks for teammates is great for coordination.
Open Handed: going to be buffed soon. It expands range for perks like Bond, Kindred.
I don't have any Exhaustion Perks unlocked, but they are useful I hear lol
-
Run Hex: Killer Party and Haunted Ground for some fun lol Punish the survivor who goes to cleanse the hex lol
-
I had a match the other night as survivor on Midwich against Plague. She was slugging a bit and I got downed. I decided to hide in some bushes in main yard and bleed out. Everybody kept trying to rescue me and got downed trying. Eventually I did get healed and did a gen while she finished everybody off. I was going to try to loop and find hatch but was ready to move on. She saw me and I dropped my toolbox and crouched. She then nodded and proceeded to lead me to the hatch! Great game and I did the same for the last survivorbinbmy killer match as Doctor. Im going to try this everytime as killer now!
-
Actually I found it and he's number 2 in kills in red ranks just below Freddy and is number 4 in kills in all ranks.
There's only a 1.43% difference in kill rates between Freddy and Doctor.

So i am quite curious to how many people will agree with some of the things of a Killer's strength and where to put them, be in Mind i play on Ps4 so things will vary slightly for PC Users
and Please Remember that this is MY Tier List and MY Opinion, you are more than freely able to disagree but i please ask that you do not personally attack me
please know from Left to Right Left being the strongest and Right the weakest
S - Nurse, Spirit
ow these 2 are more so actually tied for their placement as it can be argued who is stronger, but i personally believe Nurse is stronger mainly from her faster downing potential, despite being the slowest walking Killer in the game her Blinks heavily make up for that Nurse having one of the faster downing Potentials
Spirit is heavily insane especially if you know how to use your ears very well, though ears isn't everything with a Spirit as tracking is another important key in playing her, having a base 115 movement speed and an even faster Phasing mechanic it is quite difficult to get away from a very good Spirit
A - Oni, Freddy, Hag, Executioner, Huntress, Blight, Twins
Now for starters this should seem quite familiar, Oni is a power house of a Killer have amazing 1 shot potential, Merely have slapping 2 fully healed survivors you already have around 80% of your power the Blood Fury, and that gives Oni amazing Mobility and Map pressure, it will give him great Slug potential as well
Freddy is Freddy, we all already know why this little Sh talking mushrooms is up here, Freddy able to place down Snares and slow down the survivor by i believe 10% is phenomenal, also he is able to teleport to gens once his power is built up enough, He also has the other power Dream Pallets and while they are worse than Snares they are more so surprising to a Survivor than anything else
Hag is similar to Trapper but 100x better, she places traps but as soon as they get activated within close enough distance she can teleport to them, and if you are looking at the Trap itself you dont need to do the little animation and just able to swing, she can trap Palettes and Use it as a Decoy or as a Free Grab, Hag has great Pressure and Slug potential as well, her power though can be beaten by Urban Evasion and Flashlights
Executioner is probably one of the top few threatening Killers, he is able to use his Rights of the Damned to hit survivors through a reach of 10 Meters (Without Addons) and put down his Slug trail, if a survivor happens to run through it they are put into the Tormented state, they can be caged or if they are death hook, can be quickly Mori'd
Huntress is my top Main Killer, she is absolutely amazing and fun to play as imo, her Power being hatchets allows her to hit survivors across the entirety of the map, she can throw hatchets longer than any map size which is insane, she is a 110 Killer so without hatchets she is horrid to play and does no do well in chase but you shouldnt have to face that problem if you are Patient with your hatchets, Big Maps and Indoor maps can hurt a Huntress a bit like Lery's and Hawkins, where its almost impossible to 4k
Blight is another very mobility based Killer who is able to go quite far with his Lethal Rush, able to score a quick slap on the survivor if he manages to get to one, Unlike most Killers when Blight Lethal rushes his attack Window is far more wider than normal which explains how he gets most of his hits, Blight is another Killer that heavily suffers from indoor maps being hard to use his power in tight areas considering his large hitbox when slamming into objects to do another Lethal rush,
Lastly and surprisingly the Twins, Twins is a Killer that is not very well Liked by the community much like Deathslinger, Twins is actually very freakin strong, her little brother Victor allows Both Charlotte and Victor to camp area but Victor is more valuable from doing so, only way to not be noticed by Victor is crouch walking by him, When Victor pounces it is said to be the fastest thing in the game making it rather difficult to dodge, but if he misses free Baby Kick! However if he lands his pounce and you are healthy he will latch onto you for a while leaving you Oblivious and you cannot heal do gebs, escape, or open the exit gate, until you get him off you will suffer these but if you are being chased do not try to throw Victor off a you stand still and cannot so anything for a bit of time
B - Billy,Demogorgon, Deathslinger, Clown, Plague, Legion, GhostFace, LeatherFace
Billy is another pretty Obvious choice as to why i put him here, Billy uses his chainsaw to get amazing Mobility Value from open maps as Indoor maps completely destroy his power, Giving him insta down potential Billy is a relatively easy Killer to learn in the beginning but there is so much more to learn the higher you go, Billy's chainsaw has a heat gauge on it therefore you can hold it as long and have to give it some time to cool down before using again, but that doesn't mean he isn't amazing or fun to play
Demogorgon, he is actually one of the more difficult Killers to play imo, His Shredding ability is off the charts one of the more scarier things in this game going quite far up to 4 - 12 Meters depending on how Long you hold it, His Shred ability allows him to break Palettes as well, he is also one of those Killers where his best addons are Grey and Yellow which is honestly very easy to get, them being the Rat Liver and Mews Guts which both are easy to obtain, Demogorgon also has another ability where he can place down Portals and go from each side of the map pretty fast, It can get you some sneaky hits or grabs which are fun
Deathslinger is another Killer where he lacks in Map Pressure but is able to end chases pretty quickly, using his Harpoon Gun he is able to shoot survivors from Up to 18 meters away and pull them close, landing a successful hit will give them the mending state but it takes a while to reload without Addons, his Harpoon gun has such a small hit box that it can go through cracks in tiles which will lead to faster injury and/or downs
Clown, he received a well needed buff that actually is a whole lot more stronger than i originally expected, he has 2 bottle types, the Tonic and the Antidote, The Tonic will slow Only the survivor down by 10% while the Antidote will increase speed to both the survivor and Clown by 10%, a smart clown will use a Antidote in a chase for faster down potential, a Clown has only 4 bottles though so you will need to reload quite often, especially if you are using the Bottles alot, With the Antidote bottles it allows Clown to get across the map quicker giving him more mobility potential
Plague is a Killer i couldn't get into, but that doesnt mean i put no time into her, Plague has the Vile Purge where she can sicken survivors and make Gens and everything like that be contagious as well, if she Vomits on a survivor eventually they will go into the broken state and eventually vomit consistently, however if they do decide to cleanse that gives Plague the ability to make her Purge Corrupted, and you start off with one free pool corrupted already, her Corrupted Purge can injure survivors from a good distance away using her Corrupt but it disables her ability to sicken for 60 seconds
Now the most controversial Killer, Legion, a lot of players hate this Killer no surprise, Legion is absolutely amazing with injuring multiple Survivors applying major pressure, every Feral frenzy hit puts them into the mending state, Legion has great map control everytime he gets that 1st Feral hit, the Killer Instinct will pop on any non hit survivor showing their location, Legion is able to hop over Palettes and Windows in his feral frenzy very quickly to score a quick hit
GhostFace is a pretty Fun Killer with his quick teabagging potential, Ghostface is able to go into his Night Shroud ability to stalk and Mark survivors who will be insta down for the next minute or so, giving Ghostface a lot of time, though if he is leaning he marks you faster than if he isnt leaning, but you can pull him out of his power by staring at him with the middle of your screen pointed at him, only thing that sucks is most suvivors have a hard time pulling that off
Leatherface is actually a really fun Killer, use to be one of the worsts but he made his way up to the B tier, Leatherface is able to down multiple survivors but if he is given the oppurtunity which should never happen is a 4 ma down from one chainsaw sweep, Leatherface is ablo able to control how many sweeps he does which makes chases more easier for him, he can use his chainsaw to break pallets and walls relatively easy but Just like Billy his chainsaw has a cooldown as well so yo cant forever hold it to be that old toxic face campin Bubba lmao
C - Pig, Myers, Doctor
Why i Put Pig here is she has probably one of the most counterable powers in the game, her Head traps are not RNG based as most think it is, the game before hand has random numbers put to Jigsaw boxes dedicated to the head trap, only specific ones will get it off, so you have a 25% chance of getting it correct but that number goes up more and more if you fail the jigsaw boxes, Pig also has another power, her Crouch, Crouching allows her to do her ambush attack which let out a roar before she leaps toward the survivor pretty quickly and if you run the perk Save the Best for Last hitting the survivor with an Ambush attack will ignore the Save The Best for Last and not lose or gain any tokens
Myers is actually a very fun Killer, he starts off the game being slow as hell and with no Lunge at all, it would take 5 seconds fully to get from tier 1 to tier 2 Evil Within, upon getting to Evil Within tier 3 however you are insta down for 60 seconds, you break and vault faster, your lung is extremely long as well being great downing potential, his terror Radius becomes larger as well giving the survivors a heads up upon your arrival though
Doctor imo is not fun to go against at all, he has the Therapy Shock which does allow him to instantly hear any screams of possible survivors near him or gives him the info that no one is around, when he is chasing though he is able to give you a shock which renders you useless for 2.5 seconds of being unable to do anything, Doctor has high pressure potential with his Shock therapy and will almost always find a hiding survivor
D - Trapper, Wraith
Now Trappe is here because he has horrible map control, his power being the traps are always scattered around the map and depending on the map size will also vary how many traps spawn around the map, and he has to strategically use these traps for possible catchings, sometimes he will be able to and sometimes not, Trapper has one of the more difficult potential of pressure, the best thing he can do is Replace traps but it can sometimes move the trap
and finally Wraith, Wraith's power allows him to go invisible, with his recent buff and coming on buff next week this is will he will reside for Now, Wraith goes cloaked and he moves a little faster but he cannot attack whatsoever, when he comes out of cloak though he moves pretty quickly able to catch up to the survivor and land a clean hit, but Wraith is one of those Killers where the Hit and run play helps him the most, he is able to sneak up on survivors but open maps like Blood Lodge will completely destroy him, he is in my opinion the weakest Killer in Dead By Daylight
that's all of them! Thanks for reading and comment if you agree or disagree ^^
Some if this is fair, but your focus tends to be on mobility and range (hence all high mobility and range killers are high on your list)
I have to hard disagree on Doctor tbh. Static Blast has the potential to hit most of the maps and have constant information flow. So he doesn't waste chases looking for people. He can deny loops and actions, render survivors essentially useless in Tier 3 until they snap out of it. He is perk reliant, but he is a solid B+. The only thing that holds him back is that that he can't navigate the map as other killers. But Corrupt Intervention and Thrilling Tremors can patch that problem with Static Blast by locking survivors out, again he gets information on which gens are locked.
My current build is nothing special, but I've been 3k on most maps. (Corrupt Intervention, Whispers, BBQ, PGTW). There's information perks and slowdown perks which is how Doctor functions best.
Also he has up there in the kill ratio for high ranks along with Freddy.

@PlaysByShady said:
Rule #1
You play for your own amusement and enjoyment. Your role is not to babysit survivors, or pander to their needs and demands, or to adjust your gameplay to make it fun for them. You can if you want to, but it's your choice! You do not owe any survivors anything to make the game fun for them! Make it fun for yourself.
Rule #2
You are a killer, your role is to apply pressure and kill the survivors by any means available to you through the course of normal gameplay. The survivors' goal is to complete gens... which they can rush to do so and once completed, you cannot undo. Your goal and objective is to prevent this by any means.
Rule #3
The game is asymmetrical, and at the start of the game the balance tips towards the survivors. There is only one of you, versus four of them, who are all capable of doing gens together or independently. You can only chase one survivor at a time. Even if one is injured, and another is hooked, it's still perfectly possible for another to be progressing gens whilst another goes for heals and saves.
Any living survivor - regardless of hooks and health state - can progress the game to their victory. The only way to permanently slow them down is to reduce the number of survivors, see Rule #1.
Rule #4
Camping and tunnelling are valid strategies to reduce the number of survivors (see Rule #3). They may not be good strategies, but they are valid. Contrary to what snowflakes will tell you, these strategies are not unfair because the game has allowed for several mechanics to be employed by survivors to help them out in this situation, some of which are:
- Borrowed Time: activates when in the terror radius, i.e. it promotes unhooking near the killer
- Decisive Strike: soon to be nerfed, but currently grants immunity from being picked up for a whole minute
- Unbreakable: allows survivors to recover on the ground faster, and pick themselves up
- For The People: allows instant recovery on the ground
- Soul Guard: allows you to pick yourself up so long as a hex exists
- Mettle of Man: allows extra protection hits to be taken
- WGLF: faster healing for survivors on the ground
- Instaheal Medkits: restores a health state after 16 seconds
- Flashlights: can blind the killer forcing them to drop survivors
- Toolboxes: can break the hooks, forcing killers to drop survivors
As well as survivors have 16 perks vs your 4 perks, survivors are also gifted items by looting chests, from which they can get medkits, torches, keys and other useful things to help them achieve victory.
As a killer, you must overcome all of these, and more on top (chasing through multiple pallets, etc, to get your kills. Don't be shamed when you succeed.
Rule #5
Get DS out early if you can; it's a killer in the late game and can allow a free escape, even with the incoming nerf.
Rule #6
When survivors put in offerings for specific realms, they know exactly what they're doing. It's not to make the game interesting or amusing for you. It's to tip the balance further in their favour. Survivors do not care about you! They only care what you can do for them!
Rule #7
If you've spent 100's or 1000's of hours into learning a particular killer, do not be shamed by survivors saying the killer is OP. You put in the time, you deserve the rewards from that. If that means you bested the survivors, so be it. It was down to your skill, the killer on their own does nothing.
You should mention Inner Strength for survivor perks. It allows for insta-heal in 8 seconds.
I just got it on Elodie and I used it multiple times last night in conjunction with Small Game. Med kits are cool, but this is just for me. So survivors can utilize other items which are honestly more damaging to killers and their objectives (keys, toolboxes, flashlights and even maps)

One gen was done and I was looping the Killer for a bit, wondering why they weren’t doing any gens or anything. It was the Demogorgon. When I got downed and hooked they were all in the center of the map. Not really far at all. The Killer wasn’t camping but they were clearly doing the “I hear a terror radius, better get in a locker”.
I thought all 3 were on gens per OP? If its locker then I see your point a lot more. If it was gens with Undetectable Demo then I see why they could be hesitant, especially with no Kindred
-
@Dragonshensi said:
Just had a match where I got hooked and watched as my three teammates each worked on gens separately. Not even bothering to come get me. Finally after I got to second hook I saw one coming for me, with the Killer right behind her. So I waited till she got close and killed myself right before she got to me. And she got downed by the Killer. If you aren’t going to help your teammates then I won’t be a team player.
May i ask 4 questions?
1. How early in the match did you go down? I'm guessing within the first 40s since only 1 gen was done between your hook and 2nd stage (60s and a gen takes 80s)
2. Who was the killer and how did you go down? Was it a Bubba, or an M1 killer like Doctor? If it was an Insidous Bubba, I'd be hesitant to come over, too
3. How far were your teammates when you got hooked? Were they on the opposite side of map? Was it a multi-story map where stairs are hard to find (Midwich, Hawkins, etc.)
4. Did killer camp at all?
I already saw that you weren't running Kindred which makes soloq so hard as there's no communication as there would be in most cases. Dedicating a slot for Kindred on soloq when there's no communication is important imo.

@Northener1907 said:
That is unfair for killer mains. Game is already so much survside. You are putting someone on hook (Doing your job well) and that perk punishing you for that. Survivors can see your aura, so they will know where are you going. And they can see each other auras. Maybe nerf? Time limit or remove killer's aura.
Why do you care if your aura is shown within 16m? You're essentially camping at that point, even if you're just outside of range for aura. Go chase a different survivor and aura reading won't be an issue.
Kindred helps solo players make some educated decisions without the need of being on a SWF.

This is not about DLC characters, if I understand licencing correctly they have to pay outright for it and recoup the money after. My issue is for the original characters, now for the survivors, it's not so bad because they're templates for your build, I'm not a big fan of the shrine but unless you're into roleplaying your character you can slow just get all the perks on one survivor. The killers is where it became a big issue for me, why are the older characters like the Legion and Doc still 9k shards. This is not a f2p game and even some f2p are better on progression than this game, to compound this not only are they 9k shards but they have to be levelled from 1 to 50 which can take hours on end just to get all the things you need from the bloodweb. It's not like this is the only way they monetise the game has an install price, money only costumes and the worst of all a ######### battlepass which is the most egregious of all. I'm not saying 9k is completely unfair for newer characters but the older ones should definitely not be 9k years after release. BHVR can't have it both ways either make the prices for the characters and leveling cheaper or make customisation cheaper so we can focus and enjoy one fewer characters more. Thanks for sleeping through my TED talk.
TLDR: stop being scummy BHVR and adjust prices accordingly.
Tbh if you're waiting years for the killer, are you even interested in them? I've seen Doctor, Legion and Hag perks in SoS since I started playing in August 2020. I'm on Switch, and used a gift card to get the base game and some dlc (Ghostface, Myers, Demo and Oni since they all looked cool lol). I'm not interested in Legion so much, but I wanted Discordance, which I got. So I don't have to buy Legion now. If its on sale in the future, then sure why not , but its not going to make me post about it in forum years later.
They don't have to drop the price at all. Nintendo is notorious for this same reason. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Splatoon 2 are almost 5 years old, yet they still need to be purchased at essetially full priced. Should they drop ot because it's old? Why would they? If somebody wants it, they'll get it. This is especially true for digital content. Its not excess inventory that they need to get rid of, so why lower the price?

I don't think it will be too usefull on doctor as he really can't close the distance fast enough.
Assuming that the timer starts when you hook the survivor then if other survivors are 18m+ away from you you won't reach them in time.
That's only with running away. No looping or anything. Just running in a straight line.
That said there is some vallue in forcing survivors to run away from a hook and delaying the unhook. So it's not bad
But as far for getting actual exposed downs i wouldn't count on it, this is very much a perk that works in the background. Unless you play mobility heavy killers it's more about scaring survivors away from the hook then to actually get downs with it
That's a good point about mobile killers. So, maybe Wraith, Spirit or Nurse would benefit more? I always find people lurking by the hook for quick save since I main Doctor. He can't insta-down so its less risk (unless he knows how to time shocks properly and interrupts unhooking)
But almost guaranteeing 30s of uninterrupted hook time without camping is still a really useful perk. Im excited to try it, but Distressing and double calm may be too much lol
BBQ/Star Struck/Corrupt Intervention/Whispers or PGTW will probably be my build to try it. Ill probably drop PGTW since lately I find myself not having time to kick gens as much

Use on doctor. Pick and hook/drop then shock and oneshot nearby survivor
Distressing and double calm add ons makes your TR huge. Or you can have fun with Thrilling Tremors to shock right before picking to block gens, hook and then find exposed survivor. It may be trying to do too much though lol
Distressing/Star Struck/Corrupt Intervention/Thrilling Tremors
You could drop Distressing for BBQ or Whispers, or drop one Calm Add On for Restraint to see auras as madness tier goes up.
I think Doctor could see a good buff just from this perk as he is essentially an M1 killer with locating powers.

Oh man that idea is extremely great, I love the idea of a hex that tries to protect itself and be confusing switching places, paired with something like haunted it could be scary!
Yeah and the shifting winds goes along with the painful winds theme. Its a quick decision for the survivors too. Do they do the totem and stop the boosts or risk Hex:HG? They can wait a minute and see, but then they're doing nothing for 60s lol
More mindgame perks are great

I agree and Ive always had an idea for a perk that could predestroy pallets, so I put it in but I'm completely open to changing the perk as well, I tried thinking of some other ideas but couldnt think of a good one, I did want a hex perk on him but couldnt think of a nice one.
You could do something like Hex:Shifting Winds. Hex totem shifts every 60 seconds if dull totem still exists on map. You get alerted to every shift. Shift won't happen if survivor is working on current totem.
For every shift that happens, gain a token. Each token gives 2% cooldown or boost (you pick). So a 5 minute match could give you a -10% cooldown on abilities, +10% movement speed, etc.
Pair it with Corrupt Intervention and Undying and the mid-end game pressure would be intense as longer games fuel the power.

I do have his lore written out but I just want some opinions about his other stats.
The Mountaineer
Default Weapon:
An Ice Pick, bruised and bent from the rocks
Stats:
115% Movement Speed
Height: Tall (but smaller than plague)
Terror Radius: 36 meters
Power:
Mountain Chill:
The Mountaineer has a chilling effect that affects survivors over time with his abilities, slowing and posing threats if they do not keep working and staying active.
Chilly (Freezing level 1)
- Survivors breath more audibly
Cold (Freezing level 2)
- Survivors breath much louder
- breath is visible (can be seen if they are in lockers)
- Performing slow actions are 25% slower
Freezing (Freezing level 3)
- Survivors breath much louder and breath is visible (same as level 2)
- Survivors now have cold fog surrounding their feet, which has a small trail, sort of like torment, but lingers a little longer helping with tracking
- Survivors crouching and walking speed 5% slower, running unaffected
Frostbite (Freezing level 4 MAX)
- Same effects as level 3
- Survivors will become injured if you walk, crouch, or stand still for longer than 6 seconds (Running For 3 seconds will reset this, and healing or working gonna gen will not count this, but won't reset timer, simply pause it)
- Gen and healing speeds are reduced by 15%
In order to clear up your freezing, there are small bundles of fire, Warming Fires, around the map, similar to plague, which has a cleanse action. Takes 30 seconds to fully cleanse and warm yourself. You don't have to fully finish, the 30 seconds is simply from frostbite to 0 cold, you can decide to do it for less, but still keep some of your freezing.
Special Ability: Slippery Path
Press and hold the Power button to charge up and release an attack forward on the ground in front of The Mountaineer. This attack will freeze the ground, making it a shiny light blue ice. Survivors walking on the path will slowly rise in the amount of Freezing, and also slide, making corners and tight turns much harder to run, and the character has way less control. This path stays on the ground for 6 seconds. Staying on the path for a total of 12 seconds will increase their level of Freezing. This attack is 8 meters long, and 4 meters across. Can only have 1 path active at once. Charge takes .3 seconds before release
Passive Ability: Painful Winds
Every 30 seconds, the winds of the dark blizzard move onto the map. This blizzard lasts 40 seconds and once it ends, the timer before it comes again begins. This blizzard covers the entire map, making it look snowy and white like the Nightmare's vision but for everyone. Inside of the blizzard, the survivors will slowly gain Freeze, gaining 2 levels of Freeze, and they also have reduced vision, only being able to see 16 meters ahead of them. This blizzard will also lower The Mountaineer's terror radius down to 28 meters, from 36 meters. Survivors standing within 6 meters of Warming Fires will not gain Freeze.
Perks:
Slow and Steady: Taking it slow isn't always a safe bet
When a survivor performs a slow action, you get a noise notification, and the survivor becomes hindered by 5% for 5 seconds. This action has a cooldown of 100/90/80 seconds.
Double Cross: You work alone, and anyone who trusts you doesn't know what's coming.
Kicking a generator activates Double Cross. The gen will regress at 100% for 25/35/45 seconds. If a survivor interacts with the gen during this period, the gen will instantly regress for double the amount that was regressed at normal speed. This perk has a cooldown of 70/60/50 seconds.
Practice Makes Perfect: You have taken the time to perfect what you need to accomplish.
At the start of each match, gain 1/1/2 tokens. Walking up to an undropped pallet allows you to perform a break action, and break the pallet before it can be used. This action takes 5/4/3 seconds to complete.
So I love the idea of tiering up freeze and warm fires (one suggestion I made on other thread). I do like how it is treated like Doctors Shock Therapy.
In fact I wouldn't even mind if Blizzard worked like Static Blast thats tied to your initial TR. But the decrease amount still happens. So you can run Distressing and affect everybody's freeze level in your TR, but drop to say 18m. You can even have a boost where you see auras withij 18m out during that 40s.
As perks go, i enjoy the first two perks as is. 3rd i don't like as is. You can go in and target super safe pallets (upstairs in Ormond) with only a 3s penalty? I'd say this needs a cooldown as it eliminates looping tremendously with little punishment (especially when your freeze attack causes slippage already). I'd give it a 120/100/80 cooldown on par with Oppression.

I created an entire document for a character like this too named the Mountaineer. If anyone would care to see it i can make a post, but he basically was a map control character with status effects, and his ability let him create ice on the ground that caused running to be harder to control making survivors run less efficient. I wrote his lore and perks as well.
I just saw that post and questioned if it was the same OP lol ill check it out later, but did you and OP collab or something, or is it you both came up with similar killers?

I'm a Doctor main and during MMR test, I had pretty even matches tbh. If I wanted to go play as Freddy or Nurse (never played either yet) I think it can be assumed they will be a low rank MMR. I think seeing a visible number could discourage some people more, or it could encourage you to try your less played killers.
I'm okay either way, and was pretty happy with the MMR test overall. I think survivors had it a little easier since you may not get all potatoes as teammates and 4 decent survivors can outplay an equally matched killer.
-
Also, why Australian and cold? I would think somebody from Nepal would be more appropriate due to the Himalayas.
Australian I would think would be a ranged killer throwing boomerangs laced with venom. Venom would be interesting given number of venmous creatures in Australia
-
I like the idea of hypothermia a lot, but needs to be done by survivor at a hot spot, more akin to Plague and the cleansing.
Ability id say no, causing hypothermia is strong enough imo. It'll be like a pseudo-doctor which I'm okay with as a Doctor main.
For his Hex Perk, I'd make it a non-hex perk tbh. Surge is 32m from when you down a survivor. Depending on where you hook the survivor you may get 1 gen to explode, and thats if it was worked on. Completely useless if you set up a strong 3 gen, unless you feel like hooking somebody clear across the map.
-
PGTW can have no value if Ruin isn't cleansed, making you essentially 1 perk slot lost. Another bad combo is Corrupt and Ruin. It encourages survivors to go find a gen and end up finding Ruin instead. Good combos are below;
PGTW + Oppression: 25% immediate regression and 2 other gens begin regressing or face difficult skill checks.
Ruin + Undying: classic combo
Devour Hope + Undying: Stacks transfer to dull totem so its easy to get 3 stacks before both totems are cleansed.
Corrupt + PGTW: best of both early and mid game gen defense
Ruin + Surge : Ruin is good for passive while Surge can have a PGTW type of value running in background
Thano + Undying Light: weaker than hexes, but can be consistent if you apply pressure.
You can even slap on Surveillance to builds with auto regression (Ruin, Surge, Oppression) to track progress and movement
-
I enjoy Doctor and Myers a lot. I've tried many of the killers. I actually do like Twins, and enjoy concepts of Plague and Demo (I can't get his portals to work for the life of me lol). The only killers i'm not super interested in is Blight or Nurse. The vision loss loss after blinking or blighting (?) Isn't appealing lol

The Trickster is probably going to be an interesting experience playing him tomorrow, and we're still not for sure if there will be any more changes to him before release. Here's the thing with me about Trickster, I don't like the spamming with his blades. I like to play fighting games, and I don't normally enjoy being outplayed because someone spammed me to make up for lack of skill. Trickster's big grand power known as "Main Event" is probably the spammer of all spammers, there honestly just doesn't feel like enough love was really made for Trickster. It's quite disappointing how much BHVR hyped up this chapter, only to then realize that Trickster is basically Budget Decrease Huntress/GhostFace. At least there's some positives to make up for this new chapter.. Wraith finally doesn't need Windstorm anymore, Blight can actually see now and slides won't be consistently happening anymore, and probably my most favorite the Decisive Strike change. I honestly just feel like Trickster is just something to hold us over until the Fifth Year Anniversary for Dead By Daylight, because there's gonna be quite a lot of high expectations for that after two horrendous killer botches.
Don't forget colorblind settings! That's one of the biggest positives out if this chapter. I haven't seen Trickster gameplay (gave up watching streams for Lent), but I read it and it sounds okay. I'm more interested in the new perks, which may be worth the DLC.

I think people targeted (notice the past tense!) Elodie because if her scream. I would find myself tunneled, camped and hit while on hook. But that can be due to her screaming gets canceled when hit on hook, and for sound sensitive killers they need to hear (tell that to Huntress, Freddy, Twins and GF lol)
With the recent patch fixing her scream, I'm being targeted a normal amount of time.
I picked her because I like her lore and her Christmas sweater lol

@CountVampyr said:
It’s her deadly ability to find keys and escape. But anybody can unlock appraisal to use on other charges so I don’t know why she’d be specifically targeted. Racism?
Blendette would be the main target if racism were an issue lol

After at least 6 games with the new matchmaking system, i played against high winrate killers such as Freddy, Spirit and nurse.
Some were red and green ranks.
I'm purple rank survivor and the matchmaking with other survivors are not bad. not a big difference, just the killers are repeating themselves.
They're always Spirit, nurse or freddy with the most annoying perks.
The game become annoying as well and way more harder.
I don't like this at all.
I had 2 nurse matches back to back yesterday when I rarely faced them. Im a killer main, but survivor has been fun lately. I think I played 1 nurse since August when I started. I usually get Myers, GF, Huntress at normal ranks.
I think its fun to learn against nurse too. I have a good video of me dodging the blink hit and got excited lol

I have Legacy 3 on all but one Survivor, haven't played for 6+ months on PC.
Rank 20 Survivor (because I haven't played on PC), getting matched with red and purple rank.
Whatever you are doing DOES NOT WORK.
That's completely ridiculous and I feel really bad for anyone new trying to play this game.
What a joke.
Were the red/purple your teammates or the killer's? What was your rank before you stopped playing?
From a survivor side, I'm a rank 18 that got paired with a few purples against a rank 12 killer. Honestly it was a good match. Purple Survivors may have been too high and killer was the correct rank, and my rank was probably too low but I have almost prestiged Elodie.
From a killer, I find matches harder since I'm being paired against 4 actual opponents as opposed to the normal 2 good/2potatoes, which snowballs in my favor. I played multiple matches as killer and survivor and they all ended up as 1-2k, only 1 match was a 4k (I died).
-
I played multiple games as survivor and killer and have gotten matched pretty good tbh. Survivor matches ended up as 1k-2k and killer matches ended up clean 2k.
However I feel killer matches are harder since its almost even skill. When there's a weak link its easy to tilt game in killers favor when 3 good and 1 weak survivor.
I think killer rank is based on kills and time played. I saw 2 nurses back to back. One was okay, but with NOED and the other was a decent rank 12 with a good meta build. I feel NOED is inflating the skill cap a bit thus putting killers in a slightly higher skill group.

I was talking to my friends about this map and I was kinda surprised we disagreed. They think the map is killer favored (significantly so) and I think it's much more survivor favored (outside of particular killers like blight, nurse and spirit).
How do you all feel about it?
Survivor based in most cases, but some killers can take advantage of Gideon. Nurse, Spirit and Hag can traverse quickly between floors.
I think Doctor enjoys Gideon if running certain builds (Distressing/Double Calm add ons). He can mess people up with Thrilling Tremors since his TR covers most of the map.
I also really love Scratched Mirror Myers for Gideon. Hes slow, but there's a lot of blind areas that he can sneak up on survivors.
-
Had a match as killer. It was an even 2k against 2 green ranks and 2 purple ranks, with 2 greens being killed.
I feel that killer matches were harder than survivor. Not sure if its because 4 good survivors vs. 1 good survivor as opposed to to 2 good/2 eh survivors vs. 1 okay killer
-
I had a match against 2 nurses back to back. One was definitely better than the other. Worse one had NOED tbh. 2nd one was level 12 with a good build. So it definitely feels kill based as far as killers go. I'm a killer main whose taking a break for survivor so learning to play against nurses is fun lol I think I only played a handful before today

well. just got in a match against a huntress, 1k, exactly 4 hooks in the match. and david only died because she hard camped him on his second hook.
pretty good job so far.
well...time to play a killer match
edit - and judging by the time of my comments... match lasted less than 10 min
Had match as survivor and it was a 2k (Claudette went AFK). I felt nurse did okay overall.
-
2k or 0k/8hooks and/or length of match. Longer matches can mean more balance. "Gen Rush" or matches done excessively quick could mean bad matching between survivors and killer.opposite end is short matches with 4k with minimal gens done.
-
As a mostly killer main, I enjoy both Doctor and Myers. Honestly it depends on how the match went. If I got multiple hooks, im going to be chill. If I got nothing and 4 gens popped, I'm going to want at least 1k.
Former tends to be Doctor and latter is Myers most times. I think people struggle against a good Doctor (I'm maybe above average) so the hooks and kills work great imo. Myers I have to work harder on, even to find people with Stalk (not the issue with Doctor). So I find that even tierng up is hard on some maps (multi-story like Midwich, Hawkins, etc.). So I end up using builds like Scratched Mirror on small maps to have fun lol after that I tend to chill more
-
I started playing in August 2020 around the time I bought a house and moved. Pokemon Shield was getting stale so I looked for something new.
I enjoy the complexity of the gameplay and real time risk analysis and decision making. Splatoon 2 is up there as well in regards to mix of strategy and skill, but is nowhere the complexity of DBD.

One of the things that are frustrating as survivor on Midwich and Gideon, Is when someone is hooked on the second floor and you just can’t even find the stairs. Same when the exit gates are opened.
Windows of Opportunity should pick up stairs auras lol
-
I really dislike Swamp, Red Dawg for overall darkness. I can't see anything on those maps (i'm colorblind)
As general layout issues go, I'm not a fan of Hawkins and Midwich. I get turned around so easily on both of those maps and I hate the stairs are always out of the way and some gens are nearly impossible to defend
-
Question about Starstruck. Is the Exposed effect on survivors within TR at time of picking up survivor, or just as they enter the TR?
