if they nerf anything else killer related before they balance their game im quitting for good. POP is my favorite gen regression perk because you actually have to accomplish something before the survivors finish a gen. It doesnt need to be touched but like everything else theyve done, itll probably get nerfed

Due to totem spawns being what they are, it's hit or miss due to sheer luck, which is the way it's supposed to be but what if there was an offering to improve the placement of the Hex so it doesn't always seem to spawn next to a gen or in the middle of a road with a spotlight on it saying "I'M HERE, CLEANSE ME NOW!!!" Just a thought.
wouldnt matter, they would still be unreliable. Hexes in general are trash and the only one worth running is noed. Even that is a risk. I prefer my perks to be not controlled by survivors
-
this game is so anti vet its hard to want to play it as someone who understands all the killer mindgames, whether theres a chance to win a certain game based on the survivors as whatever killer youre playing as....ect. Theyve made it extremely unfun in the long run for killer players. once you have all the perks on every killer, theres simply nothing left to do but play the same exact game with the same exact tile layouts over and over. Wanna play a fun build you get stomped on by their perks. wanna play a weaker killer you get stomped on by their perks. when you win the community shames you and tries to take away your win every game! almost every game ive played 2 days ago i was called a camper/tunneler. Its nothing new, it just gets old, and the survivor community is the driving force in my opinion on what makes this game unfun
-
Its always been top tier, just nobody knew about it. Ive used it forever. One of the if not the strongest survivor perk in the game to be honest. It makes it to where the killer has literally no chance of sneaking up on you unless they suspect you have it and walk backwards to your location the whole game

Survivor got non stop nerfing since 2016 while killer gameplay gets easier
thats simply not true. Yes killer is way easier now that Overpowered survivor mechanics have been balanced but thats not buffing the killer, its nerfing survivors

Poker is competitive game and its like entirely based off the luck of drawing cards. RNG is not what determines competition. The drive to win does. In DBD, winning is really fun, so when people say stuff like "This killer isn't fun", what they're really saying is they lose a lot to that killer but winning and losing is part of the game. I find it ironic when people say, "Rank doesn't matter and it isn't skill based" and yet people post screens of red rank vs purple/green rank. Another irony is that survivors/swf often smurf rank 20 accounts to face rank 20 killers and than blame matchmaking system. It is very see through. Its why it is important that they eventually looking into making killer emblem system in taking account for killer powers so it has accurate calculations. Anyhow, Myers is really weak killer and hopefully he gets reworked at some point to be strong killer but he is likable character in the game.
This game is way more involved than poker though. Its a video game. I cant see the comparisons youre trying to make here. Maybe i just didnt take the time to read between the lines but i dont care enough to. Its my opinion but Myers weak? Are you trolling? lol! use surge, thrilling tremors, pop goes the weasel, and [any perk] id recomend enduring/noed/discordance/nurses/sloppy then tell me hes weak. This build can work on any m1 killer but its dangerous on him because he can one shot you. Any killer that can easily 1 shot a survivor and have stealth capabilities at the same time is definitely not weak. His only weakness is map control but this build compensates for that. True used a build that is hard to pull off and didnt make smart plays in order to win in that video. He purposefully played to lose. Killers arent supposed to play nice if they want to win

if it wasnt competetive why are there ranks? why would the dev team spend time making a new hidden mmr system?
This game is a casual party game at best! It will never be competitively viable because RNG is a major factor in every game. If you take this game that seriously, then why not just play something more balanced? Tournaments cant even be a thing because how imbalanced SWF are, survivors would win probably 9/10 times. The new mmr system wont even show us each others standing so its pointless. They like wasting their time on projects instead of actually balancing their game

This is off-topic but what you said here is the exact reason I stopped watching Tru3. He'll throw a bad hatchet, it misses and he congratulates the survivor for their 'good juke'. Like no dude, you just missed...
Same, he talks up his opponents like every move they make is super calculated and thought out. Every whiff he makes is "noice dead ahrd" . Like this isnt a competitive game lmao!
-
No i use it on all of my builds except hillbilly leatherface and huntress. Its earned its spot for me. Its insane on multistory maps because it 1 gives you information, and 2 saves you time that youd otherwise spend kicking gens, which is a waste of time for the little amount of regression it provides. With surge it gives an 8 percent flat regression and keeps the gen regressing after that. Run it with thrilling tremors and pop goes the weasel and you have the ultimate gen defense. Best case scenario is you get a surge proc, pick up a survivor and see a gen in the distance with thrilling tremors, hook the survivor, and go and pop the gen thats being worked on. The build forces survivors into a catch 22 if you get momentum going. It forces them to spread out but once they do that, the progress thats constantly being lost to your perks outweighs the time that you allow them to work on gens solo

Why is that reasonable?
because they chose to progress the game and actively cant be tunneled at that point if they feel safe enough to perform an action. Under no circumstances other than be on the recieving end of borrowed time or standing at hatch/exit gates, should a survivor feel safe in this game

Well theres nothing but downsides now. they even kept in the stun after missed attacks. They did nothing to compensate for gutting her power. I have so much fun sitting there waiting for 2 blinks to come back while moving at 100% movespeed. I also love getting stunned just for using my power as map control. They didnt need to touch her power, Just like theyre doing to billy now, and the changes are going through with billy no doubt about it. Why play those killers when we can just play spirit and do 10 times better

My current favorite underrated perk is repressed alliance. Most people don't think much of this perk but it can really save a generator in some situations. Since it is a counter to pop and ruin, which are often run so it feels useful in most matches. If the killer is coming to you and you know they have pop just use that and they can't do much without wasting time. Or if you need to go for a save and ruin is still up just block the gen to miniate the progress lost on it. What are some of your favorite underrated perks.
Killer would definitely be surge. Didnt understand how powerful it could be. I use it on all of my builds now. Also im all ears. Although i dont think the cooldown should be that long, its really good at making rank 1s look like rank 20s
Survivor would be kindred and spinechill. Both highly underrated perks that give 10X the information when ran than not ran

As majority remembers, bloodlust got added to the game 2016/2017 to band-aid fix terrible map design and insanely strong tiles.
But slowly, bhvr is reworking and creating more and more maps with very short unsafe loops. Bloodlust is slowly becoming outdated and on those maps it's just overkill.
I'm wondering IF and WHEN we will see bloodlust nerfed or even removed. Waiting till the last map is reworked is certainly to long, it might take years.
It takes 15 seconds to even activate tier 1. Its fine. they should fix their tile placement and make it less RNG. Then they can touch bloodlust again

They're not the best cosmetic but they're kinda neat. So damn.
I honestly wished they'd just given us the sparkly firefly effect from when you picked up the crowns. That was awesome.
dont worry, you and probably nobody else will ever wear them in a serious game. The give you away so easily and theyre not even that cool looking. Plus the base below the crown is default heads. kinda lame if you ask me. i didnt even bother with the survivors

The goal here is to keep everyone injured and use surveillance to know which gens theyre working on while injured. As the game goes, they'll end up healing less and less due to dying light and they'll also have used up the handful of pallets around each gen. Its just important not to spend too long in a chase and use that frenzy to injure everyone again if you see that people have started healing.
switch ruin and surveilance with thrilling tremors and pop goes the weasel and youll get 100% more consistent results. Trust me, i think ive gone 16 wins straight with something similar to that build i mentioned. My usual build though is pop, thrilling tremors, surge and discordance. discordance is interchangable with any perk you want. hell slap dying light on it to make it even more unfun for survivors

"Sit on other side of a pallet" theres a lot of ifs for that to work and most pallets he can just go around one side and hit you while youre speared.
No, i dont like stealth. I rather actually play the game and interact with the killer than sit afk in a corner of the map or equip urban evasion and play with my crouch button stuck all game.
Spread out is literally the counter to every killer
Rather play the game instead of stealthing? ######### do you think this game is? Lol. I'll tell you what it isnt, interacting with the killer on purpose to increase your chances of dying

the point is to have something incredibly weak that no killer utilizes so the survivors dont have a chance to not have fun. This game is all about survivor fun and if hemmorage was stronger, it would impede on that

Losing half your power as legion for making a basic attack. The nurse nerf, Hillbilly Nerf, All of Legion, Deathslinger, Demogorgon, Oni, Ghostface Pyramid Head addons except maybe 3...Huntress hitboxes. I can go on. Blank nurse blinks. The wraith as a whole. Trapper only being able to carry 1 trap without addons. Trapper traps not downing injured survivors when they step in a trap. Getting hit by decisive strike after you already downed and hooked someone else. The fact that survivors get 2 second chances to escape after youve killed the 3rd survivor in the ability for them to get hatch, then if the killer happens to find it first they get another chance to "outplay you" with free exit gates on some maps where the gates are too far apart to patrol.

He's pretty alright, they just need to calm down with the slowdowns on this killer (if you take that into consideration, he is by far, the slowest killer in the game. Technically nurse is, but she can blink, Deathslinger's power slows him down more than his already slow movement speed.)
No its still nurse. With her stun and now cooldown. If she didnt have the cooldown shed be number 2 but now that she has to wait to blink and is at 100% or 105 cant remember. anyways nurse is slower with everything in consideration

Didn’t sound mean. But your argument of „most of not all players have a problem with it“ was way more dumb. It’s the forums and the vocal social networks community part that have a problem with it. You don’t really see the feedback by casuals. But even here you can see some people happy with it.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1436401#Comment_1436401
Well, the Addon changes required a power change, if they changed Hillbilly’s addons with the old power unchanged they would have to redo the addons against when his power is looked at, so why not do it together? Also, and that’s just me assuming, while the powers are different I can imagine that the coding behind the chainsaws is still somewhat similar, kinda like Myers and GF (leaks said that GFs power was based on Myers before he was officially revealed iirc)
he did not need his power changed. They couldve reworked his addons around his power. LOOK AT WHAT THEY DID WITH WRAITH. Changed his add ons and didnt touch his power.

No they dont need to nerf any more killers. They need to stop nerfing things and fix their braindead maps and SWF. Then they can try and balance killers

Ok i have seen different post on the forum complaining about "2nd chance perks". Im a survivor main but i want to see killers perspective on things. So people who play killer what is your problem with perks like DS, BT Unbreakable ect and how would you change it to make it more balanced for you guys but not ultimately making it a useless perk. I really am willing to listen.
They honestly need the second chance perks. Im a killer main and i think they need at least a few. Survivors simply dont have the coordination with solo play to stand a chance if theres one bad apple. I play survivor here and there and definately feel the need for at least borrored time. They only become broken when they synergize with other second chance perks. I feel like perks should be sorted into categories. With survivor you can get 1 second chance, 1 stealth, 1 gen perk and 1 aura perk. Same with killers. That would probably be the closest thing to balance this game can get

Gotcha, ive been using it on him. If you think about it, freddys weak against an awake survivor. So if you hit your obsession theyre now asleep, then you can use your no terror radius to go hit another 1 or 2 people, now theyre asleep too. As Fred the more asleep the better. Ive for sure been making somd crazy plays with it so it is doing work
sounds good on paper. It does what youre saying but if you really think about it, its only a small reward that is going to happen regardless if you have a terror radius or not. Id rather run a perk thats more powerful and gives more of a reward than maybe it getting pulled off in very specific circumstances. What happens when everyones asleep? Thats probably half the game for each survivor. During that time, DD is useless

Works on awake survivors, fails with asleep ones. Same as insidious. Ive seen videos of it being tested. Its a shame that you cant use terror radius perks on him

Whenever I see people complaining about DH, it’s always the same complaint that using DH for distance is unfair because it has no counter. My question for these people is why do they not complain about SB then too? Sprint burst is an exhaust perk that requires zero skill to use and essentially can’t be countered aswell as it always gives the survivor a head start in a chase. So why do I only see DH get hate and not SB?
forget DH, lets talk about head on having no counter. Even if you know theyre in the locker, theres no way to avoid the stun if the perk is active.

Adrenaline doesn't hand you an advantage like NOED does, nowhere near.
yes it does. Youre telling me that a killer chasing an injured survivor that suddenly gets a sprint burst and fully healed for doing nothing but running a perk is a disadvantage? In what world. What if all 4 survivors have adrenaline and ignore healing to rush gens to get an insta heal for free? Its unhealthy for the game. Noed can be countered. Easily. Adrenaline has no counter. It even activates when the survivor is unhooked which is bs
-
@cluedup_survivor1988 said:
The reason I say this is because I've seen dead killers who struggle the whole game down entire teams with this one hex, it's not smart and gives the killer an insane advantage even if they are ok at best.
80% of killers seem to run this and it's extremely hard to counter as it means removing all totoms before it activates or risking an escape looking for it after its activating.
Does anybody understand where I'm coming from?
Especially considering even the ace killers use this also which makes a win damn near impossible.
Its fine. If you die to it, the killer did his job and pressured you enough to not worry about totems or you rushed gens and didnt respect the chance of NOED existing. Your fault. Its so easy to counter lol. Once there are 2 gens left i slow down on rushing and search for totems.
-
@JawsIsTheNextKiller said:
It's been said many times before that if Billy was released today he would be made with a cooldown. The cooldown makes sense to stop those 4 slugged at 5 gens games and brings him into line with other killers.
Once this is in place, the numbers can be tweaked and one day, Billy will be the most balanced killer in the game.
those are niche scenarios that dont justify a power nerf. Tweak the add ons, leave the power. There are so many perks that counter slugging anyways now. If you lose to slugging billy you kind of deserve it lol!
-
its even easier on xbox. You dont even have to be friends with someone to send them a message or spam them with party invites while theyre still in their game even. idk man just dont use totems. Even with choosing their spawn, theyll still get found. Its pure chance if you even get value from them. Ive learned to use builds that survivors have ZERO control over. Sorry but that has to be said if we bring "pro dbd players" to back up arguments. Here is a prime example, just watch that video and you understand what i mean.
to be fair though, the man is using brutal strength and fire up on a hillbilly and causing chaos. I never watch true anymore because he talks up his opponents and makes them sound like every move they make was calculated and something out of a fighting game. He talks dbd up to be this ultra competitive game that can be strategized to a top % of survivors. Its eye rolling to be honest

The streamer Circlejerk around billy is funny to watch, he's been overperforming compared to other killers for years now, there has never been a time where he wasn't one of the top, he completely invalidates half the roster and ppl are crying because his power has a downside now.
Meanwhile nobody was saying "oh, they gutted legion to hard and basically made him an even more boring m1 killer"
Streamers don't care about balance, they are about what's fun to THEM since they are spending an absolutely bonkers amount of time in this game, watching a billy destroy lowrank teams with ease because new survivors cannot deal with the mappressure and chainsaw was absolutely ridiculous.
Literally nobody but survivors wanted legion changed and oh my god are they eating their words now haha! I can make games extremely unfun to the point where they just give up at rank 1 now. Kill one and force the rest to mend for eternity
