So lets say you are playing Oni and you get your power and down someone, keep in mind that no gens are done in this time, and you see someone in infectious fright. The guy will slug you. That's just how the killer is played.

On the other side of the coin, slugging at 5 gens as a good nurse is morally not okay.

who cares about morals in a videogame about killing people effectively and efficiently. If they get caught at 5 gens, no matter what theyre getting slugged lmao. Start doing it people who read this, itll do wonders for your early pressure

I've gleaned from other threads that the game has been free or included with other things on other platforms. This makes sense. Given the ridiculous BP grind, cash shop, battle pass, DLC, etc. This is effectively an F2P business model, I don't know why the base game isn't free.

    blatant greed

What's your take on Swf? Do you like it? Don't? Why?

    Do you enjoy having challenge?

I dont mind going against a swf, but I do enjoy going against them as they make the game interesting. 90% of the time, they enjoyed the match and had fun(me as well), true champs.

I only mind right now because i cant switch my killer in the lobby and survivors are still able to 6 second flashlight switch. I still cant wrap my head around the devs blatant stupidity. I got so sick of their nonsense i stopped playing their jank ass game

  • dude, literally everything a killer does has a buzzword behind it. Who cares? just play the game

  • who cares at this point. The DC penalty is gone so DC away.

  • @Pipefish said:

A second chance perk that literally triggers every forty seconds. Who thought this was a good idea. My suggestion is to have it give you the broken status like no mither. What you all think ?

Its not OP. There is nothing OP in this game. Its strong but nowhere near OP. You should only fall for it once if even. If they use it for distance then good for them, they can only use it once in a chase and this is coming from a killer main. Just bait it. EZ

  • @Sheridan_LT said:

Say you're in a solo queue. Say your buddies inadvertently let Myers build Evil 3. Say this applies universally, to every character regardless of perk (because actual real counterplays should be basically kinda universal).

What do you do as a "any perk" survivor (let's take a level 1 Dwight with Leader for the memes), when Myers gets Evil 3 and starts chasing ONLY you?

Michael Myers as bad as, sometimes worse than Spirits. Overpowered.

literally nothing in this game requires hours of skill. All survivors need to learn it to loop effectively. Extremely boring gameplay in my opinion. You can play against almost every killer the same exact way except nurse, spirit, and maybe clown/freddy. Everyone else, youll be doing the same boring thing over and over. Idk why i spent 4 years of my life playing this dumpster fire. They dont change up the meta, ever. too scared to tweak anything survivor related and lack the knowledge to get killer in a better spot.

  • There are literally too many variables to safely come to that conclusion. I disagree with you though. All of the exhaustion perks depend on map, killer, and player skill level. On maps where literally every pallet is safe like that one, dead hard can be used to extend loops better than sprint burst. But because he was playing freddy, it helped them out even more because dh was used for distance and got them out of freddy trap range. The survivors also correctly predicted trues movements. in 100 different scenarios, sprint burst could have been the better choice. True messed up a lot that game as well.

Killers are not to weak, maybe your just weak with them?

Im a rank 1 killer and im getting 4ks 90% of the time on multiple killers.

Thats your own personal experience though. I do think that the vast majority of killers are weak and need some type of buff in specific areas depending on the killer. For instance trapper, why doesnt he start with more traps? his job is area control and i stopped playing him because hes garbage without bag add ons. Also they can freely step in traps with no downside while injured. Like are you kidding me?! Thats just one killer, imagine getting into everyone else. I bet in order for you to get 4ks 90% of the time you have to slug. Otherwise theres no way to get that number without slugging. Just goes to show you that the OP is right, every game is a predictable slog.

"All the good Huntress players do it"

    I highly doubt this.

AFAIK both Zubat and Scott don't do this and they are probably two of the best Huntress players out there.

Tombstone/Tuft isn't that common. The one that got me recently was Tombstone Piece and a charge speed add-on. It's still really bad for everyone to have someone just die so early on.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1504412#Comment_1504412

Glass Hatchets also isn't the problem. It's the fact that it's combined with Infantry Belt 99.99% of the time.

obviously but who runs just 1 hatchet? nobody. Its probably getting nerfed when they touch her add ons

  • maybe 3 years ago but look at all the recent killers lol. Hemmorage as a purple add on on two different killers should answer your question. Theyre too scared because their survivor community would explode if the killer gets anything as powerful as huntress one shots again.

I’d put him A with right perks and addons.

i don’t even use the mallet anymore at all (on healthy survivors) it’s just constant one hit down chainsaws.

bamboozle makes window counter weaker, you get 1 use.

you can force pallets down quick or get the chainsaw hit.

As long as you don’t bump into anything you’re good basically.

Combine fast downs and hooks with (perks) a little gen slow (pop), a little tracking, bamboozle and tinkerer or some stealth and he’s pretty strong.

where do you rate him? (As survivor or killer)

Scott is right, you cant tier killers in this game. Idk why people try lol. Ive always thought this but it seems to be the norm to try to fit things into places. Depends on the map, survivors skill level, perks used, number of safe loops, gen spread... too many factors to consider how strong a killer is

How is BBQ overperforming? Playing as both sides as a survivor I hop into a locker and as killer either the suriviors are close to me to save their teamate or they are in a locker. Very rarely would I get survivors who wouldn't hop into a locker. The only time BBQ can be great is if the survivors don't hide in a locker or if they do and your running Iron Maiden to make sure they don't hop into one or get a easy down if they are nearby. Besides that BBQ is just a way to get BP fast.

sorry that part was meant to be sarcasm. forgot the quotes around overperforming

If this is not a bug then i am wondering why they mess with auras in first place. They were perfectly working for me. Now they are garbage.

Im pretty sure theyre testing the waters to see how much BBQ and chili drops off at ranks 10-15 so all the weak survivors can stop complaining about it. Then theyll bring it back but with a nerf to bbq because its overperforming

    2.you are healed

ds have no time limit(right now at tier 3 it lasts 60 seconds no matter what.

yeah i cant stand those breakable walls. They hinder the killer so much. you should be able to just swing at them to break them instead of going through that absurd pallet break animation

  • @TheButcher said:

We can't make any conclusions for a few weeks after the release of a new patch, as players get used to changes made, but one thing I am worried about. When it came to the very small margin of Killer's that can be utilized in high ranks - Freddy has remained as one of the ones on top, even after his Add-On nerf. Since he is so versatile, and ability to control mind games around loops.

Now that Hillbilly got a big shot in the foot, when he wasn't even one of the more powerful high tier killers to begin with. I feel like we are only going to really see Freddy being played in High Ranks. I know myself when I play both Survivor or Killer. I only ever faced, or used Freddy, Hillbilly, Spirit, Nurse, and Huntress (starting to see more Deathslinger). Rarely I would see other characters, and myself would rarely use my Clown, or Legion simply because I knew picking them was deciding to lose.

While at the same time I would see a lot more Freddy, and Hillbilly, since Spirit and Nurses nerfs - they've become a higher skill cap, and harder to play.

im just going to play the most cancerous builds on spirit and freddy until this change gets reverted. This is what happens when the devs make decisions that nobody!!! LITERALLY NOBODY WANTS OR ASKS FOR. Iri head slug huntress. Amulet/ ring spirit with noed. Forever freddy with swing chains. once i get someone out early as legion, the other 3 are going to infinately mend until they dc.

  • @Mister_xD said:

the frightening part of this is, that Huntress does not have the amount of Add Ons they deem to be standart for each killer, therefore its gonna be her turn sooner or later.

and as the last two "Add On Reworks" have proven, she is probaply gonna get gutted for "overperforming" like the last two...

they dont even have to be overperforming anymore. Theyre not even trying to hide it anymore. They do what survivors want or cry about the most, ignoring their veteran playerbase entirely at this point. The entire doctor rework was for survivor fun. And yeah, they will touch her power. Just like hillbilly nurse and spirit. They dont listen to their community unless youre a rank 20-15 survivor

  • just vote with your wallet. They wouldnt dare make anymore of this garbage if it doesnt make them the money theyre projecting. They need to focus on their game more instead of this optional Bulls+++. Let them know by not buying it

It's been 2 months already since the Devs showed us a glance on how the updated Graphics will look. 2 MONTHS?!?! I don't know when they are going to be released but I feel like we are getting really close to that time. Can't wait for the horror vibes in this game that the new graphics will bring!

Here's a video if you want to rewatch how the Graphics will look:

    https://youtu.be/K1QeUvLN6YA

im all for graphics updates. But it wont turn this game into a horror game at all. I just cant believe theyre really focusing on a graphics update and using their time and resources for that, instead of focusing on balancing some of the extremely lame perks and maps in their game. They need more investment into their balance team, fire that guy with silver hair and painted fingernails, and get some fog whisperers in the studio to talk balance. People who play this game as much as the whisperers know exactly how to fix it

Legion is strong *now* with thana & pop. And then discordance with 4th perk slot being a flex spot.

thana? thana is useless even on legion. Its only good on slowdown freddy. Its more psychological for survivors. But the numbers gained from even all four survivors is mere seconds. Not worth the slot on legion.

  • @RaSavage42 said:

    Corrupt and sloppy

But I call them delay perks

sloppy can be unreliable if they dont heal though, pop is the best choice right now until it gets nerfed. You get rewarded for doing your job, unlike sloppy.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Pop is disgustingly strong when used right. Surge and Sloppy are both good, but they're both also taking up a perk slot that could be used on Pop.

With that said, there are some killers that Pop doesn't make a ton of sense on. I would probably prefer Sloppy to Pop on Hag, for example, since she doesn't need to focus on gens as much and people will probably try to heal through the Sloppy because it's really dangerous to stay injured against Hag. So, either they're wasting tons of time healing or they're going to be easy pickings whenever they trigger a trap.

i use surge pop and thrill. work like a charm. Surge hoping to get a gen or two regressed close by from the down. Pick them up and look for gens far away to use pop on. Its insanely good on any 115 killer. I like it on clown as well as legion. It kills gens all over the map and once you get the combo off once its insanely hard for the survivors to come back from it. Especially if you pressure the gens and ignore the hook. The last perk is up to you. I like running noed in case theyre godlike survivors and somehow get through the combo, or i cant pull it off in a timely manner. Then they get to deal with noed because likely, they havent done any totems with all the gen pressure. The longer they last with this build the more danger theyre in

  • @Justalittlepeeck said:

I believe the strongest combo is double lunge. It was nerfed, yeah, but it still remains a pretty nasty combination.

Also, double phasing addons and don't use power, it's a very meme combo.

nowhere near the power of amulet/ring combo

  • @BigTimeGamer said:

Seriously, what is with BHVR and making maps either indoors and/or the size of Jupiter?

what happened to maps that were more than being forced to hold W half the time? Midwich is just the most recent example, but anyone who plays a decent amount of huntress knows the pain of maps like Ormond and Temple

before someone says it, no, i didnt just have a bad game as her, I just played against a good Huntress but she lost because Midwich is a nightmare

midwitch is bad for every killer not just huntress. Even the hillbilly, a killer with high mobility suffers because its basically a box with no cutoff points except for the middle on one side. Huntress can get some nice shots though, the hallways are long and narrow so theres not always a good spot to juke a hatchet if the huntress is Okay at aiming

  • Its not even her hitboxes, its latency. Plus im all for keeping them the way they are, you know how hard it would be if you needed deathslinger accuracy on console? She would just be another unplayable killer and we already have nurse. Its borderline on console as it is with her.

  • @Deadeye said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1471459#Comment_1471459

I would also say Mother-Daughter-Ring and Yakuyoke amulet. The speed and duration buff is pretty evil, almost Billy map pressure.

Probably underrated is the combo with both charge speed addons and STBFL. Survivors sometimes don't even reach the next loop with that insanely quick possibility to go into phasing after a hit.

I would also mention Fathers Glasses in combination with Sloppy and Bloodhound. The weakest of the strongest combos as you need an addon and 2 perks for that effect, but you simply don't have to mindgame anymore. You just know exactly where people are, on which side of the pallet they are, you see when they slowvault back...

    THATS WHAT I SAID

  • @gunslingers_potatoe said:

Yes, I know, Spirit with DMS and Prayer Beads. Yes, Freddy with DMS and Class Photo. But what about this:

Legion+ Iridescent Button+ Stolen Sketch Book. And for perks: Dead Man's Switch+ Nemesis+ BBQ+ whatever you want seriously.

So after you hook your Obsession, you immediately go for a survivor thanks to BBQ and FF them and then, Iridescent Button comes into play, because once they hear your TR everywhere, they'll leave the gen and Dead Man's Switch would block the gen.

I am not saying this build is better than Fredy's, but it's a build that could work and doesn't get a lot of attention I believe. Do you think this could work?

spine chill completely counters this and ive seen around 80 percent of survivors have spine chill in the past 2 days alone

The others can't injure, immobilize, or put you into death state. This is what the devs have said on why Hag and Demo start with all their traps but not trapper. Hags traps hinder your movement, and demo only makes you oblivious to him if you can't hear his 200dB footsteps.

ever wonder why hag is miles above trapper in terms of strength? because she doesnt waste time walking around the map picking up her power.

  • @CornHub said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1470623#Comment_1470623

With just 5 traps, a trapper could easily close off alot of loops and possibly half the map depending. His traps are also the most lethal out of the other 2 trap killers. Imagine your on shelter woods a trapper could easily trap shack and 4 other loops all before you even have half a gen done. Also, preventing a 3 gen becomes significantly harder if a trapper spawns around a 3 gen.

lethal implying they only damage one health state when uninjured and can be escaped? Lethal isnt the right word here.

She has counterplay. Even with stridor. But you definitely need to learn the game.

What? Did you even read my post? Can you comprehend sentence structure? I'm a killer main bro. I used to main spirit. She does not need strider! I can wipe any team but the actual smart swf teams with stacked second chance perks and bad rng without stridor. Iron will cant even save them and imo she has no counterplay. Its guesswork by survivors. Shes in control 99% of the time. Survivors try to loop, stand still and wait for them to get out of position. Every once in a while actually phase immediately to get it planted in their head that you do phase sometimes. That's when they panic and are forced to guess.

  • @Respectfulnancymain said:

You breath louder making you easier to find even if your not injured + spirits main counter (iron will) dosent work

even without stridor she has no counterplay. Stidor isnt supposed to make survivors breathing silent. Thats a bug. Idk why people think spirit needs stridor. Its a waste of a perk slot in my opinion. Id rather run anything else than stridor. Its confusing as hell when they dont have iron will and hard to pinpoint their location. I just listen for footsteps to be honest

  • @Majora said:

So with the new Tome releasing/matchmaking changes i think this could present a big problem.

So the dev's removed the ability to sabo the Trappers traps and this was a nice change.

Why are Hag, and Wraith still hard countered by flashlights? Survivors can crouch and run Urban Evasion to counter hags traps well, so why are flashlights able to destroy her traps so easily? Why is wraith able to be stunned so badly with a flashlight? ( hes not even a very good killer)

With the new matchmaking the killer is locked into his choice. Before as hag if i saw multiple flashlights ( three or more) i would switch to a different killer because nobody likes getting their power rendered useless right?

Well now with the new matchmaking, killers are forced to stay as one killer. So with alot of people playing hag for the new tome (and wraith_, when they see flashlights they will just dodge the lobby or worse will alt-f4 during the load screen to force the survivors to reque( or bring mori) .This will lead to alot of frustrated new hags/wraiths, and longer queue times.

I think it is time to remove flashlights hard countering two killers, or at least removing the killer lock in. This makes the game more consistent. (why trapper can no longer be countered by items, but hag and wraith can) Its not fun having your powers be rendered useless by items (and now we cant just change to another killer)

my recommendation as a decent hag player is place traps farther away from hooks and gens in paths where you know survivors are going to run. Most hags are basic and trap near the hooks and Survivors know this and usually dont crouch until theyre near where they think the basic hags trap. Dont be basic. Switch up your traps. and never chase without setting up at least 5 traps in a web on one side of the map. i also recommend running sloppy and also corrupt intervention. if you find a survivor early, smack them and leave them to place your traps. let them run into your web and then once you down one, use them as bait.

  • yep, already saw flashlights in literally every single game i played during the event. Flashlights dont hard counter wrath though, they just punish him if hes careless. They dont really hardcounter hag either becuase she can just replace traps infinity and their flashlight is finite. Just run franklins if youre worried about it. i could honestly care less about flashlights, if theyd rather sit there and blind me at a pallet then theyre wasting precious time when they could be running away and creating distance

  • The issue is that survivors call tunneling for everything now. Well its always been this way but what you see as tunneling might not even be the killers fault. Well in my case, if im not in a chase when you get unhooked you bet im going back to the hook to where two known survivors are. If your teammate doesnt wanna take the hit for you after unhooking you, message them when you die not the killer. If you guys want to stick around and heal under the hook, fine, youll get punished hard by my playstyle, but stop calling tunneling bad. Its usually your team mates fault or your own.

  • @Khakuate said:

Im just learning spirit, and damn it is so ######### funny, even tho it just require 1 brain cell.

I feel bad for those survivors lol. is there any good builds for spirit? I dont like standing still, that's so dirty and braindead lol

the build to use is sloppy butcher, pop goes the weasel, surge, and thrilling tremors.

  • @fabeck said:

Both of these Killers are op, you literally don't need brain power to play with them. The Doctor just spams M2 and Myer's absurd small terror radius with a power like Evil Within just makes them unfair. Especially on small maps. Please nerf them.

so the killer can be useless and make it easier on survivor players? F that man. Tired of you survivor mains that never touch killer calling daddy devs for nerfs. Just play the game. Neither of these killers are anywhere near OP if you just practice survivor lol. Asking for nerfs shows what your rank is lol especially doctor? are you kidding lol!!!!

    [NOED]

Crutch Perk. Even red rank killers use it and i don't mean low pressure, i see a fair share of Nurse, Spirit and Billy with it. Daily complain threads about it, the developers know that, hence do nothing about it. The only argue is, just cleanse the totems. Easy for everyone that plays SWF, they have the information about totems. You can't comunicate as solo survivor to slow down the objective. Include an indicator for totems. Then there are no excuses for solo survivors to not cleanse em.

    [MORI]

Easy to change. It can only be used after 2 hooks. On the 3rd hook you would be dead anyway, so nobody cares. No complain threads anymore

    [KEYS]

A key can open the hatch, but let only the keybearer or one survivor through and it closes after. There is no reason, 3 people that can still win the game, can escape with a key, when only 1 gen is up anymore. If they did not do the right gens to prevent the 3-gen-strat, it's their fault and they should not get rewarded for it.

DUDE NOED? are you serious? ive had high pressure games as killer with pop and everything going off and survivors still give me a hard time. Noed cleaned them up though because they dont respect it. youve gotta respect the possibility of noed or else you can potentially lose to it as survivor. I dont understand the argument that noed is a perk that rewards killers for not keeping up gen pressure. It also rewards killers that give immense pressure too. Once the survivors realize that the killer might snowball theyll likely just focus on gens and ignore totems, then bam! NOED. then there ARE the games where you simply cant pressure the survivors for various reasons then those are the games where im glad i brought noed. I dont use it often, just when i feel like it but dude cmon! theres a clear cut way to counter noed, DOING BONES! X5 EZ noed counter.

1 2 3 4 … 8
