Any good builds for her?
My current build is bbq, stridor, enduring and monitor
Join the darkside and come be a legion main. Quickest way to snuff out any survivor fun. Keep them injured, then like otz says, theyre always one mistake away from being on the hook

So you don’t know exactly what the devs are thinking
you don’t know what’s going to happen when the PTB hits live
and yet you’re going to make a blind assumption, with countless past examples that prove it wrong, and then get angry over it?
I don’t even know what to say here.
history repeats itself lil guy. I remember just a few days ago people were saying wait till the PTB. Now look at you, you were probably one of them. These guys have a track record of making changes that are bad for the health of the game yet you guys are blind. The PTB is simply a glorified free bug test.

Full article on Ruin:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/117488/designer-notes-doctor-gatekeeper-hex-ruin
Short version:
We took a close look at the perk to identify what makes it so frustrating to play against. Three key issues were identified:
- Its punishment of new players or those who can't hit Great Skill Checks. Newer players trying to help veterans with generator repairs tend to make the situation worse rather than better.
- The passive nature of the gameplay pressure it provides means that there is a huge amount of potential with very little effort or risk on behalf of The Killer.
- Its inconsistency due to the random nature of the appearance interval of skill checks.
so the passive nature of ds when survivors jump in a locker or instantly hop on a generator is fine? Theres a passive nature to NOED but thats still considered fine. Every single overused survivor perk is passive. The only active meta survivor perk is dead hard. I dont buy these arguments at all. I dont even want the old ruin back, but dont lie to us. Just call it what it is, a fun factor consideration for survivors at every rank and theres 4 of them per game having fun vs 1 killer.

All you see around here is a very vocal group decrying the Billie nerfs. But these nerfs are very warranted and Billie feels very oppressive at red ranks and tends to snowball games very hard and very quickly if you get 1 teammate who does not know how to dodge. These nerfs are very welcomed by some. Keep it up BHVR :)
No. His addons are what make him oppressive. Thats all they need to touch. His base kit needs to be left alone. If you think hes oppressive at red ranks, i dont think youve gotten there

OMG the crying... the absolute utter crying over the billy changes...
Geesh, this was long over due. Billy was probably one of the most played killers for obvious reasons---this was needed to bring him more in-line with streamlining all killers so that one isn't "over powered" compared to the others. If the game was "only Billy" or "only Nurse" etc., then so be it.. but this game has a variety of killers. Releasing a new killer with powers/add-ons and abilities that is just a cookie-cutter version of what is considered the "best" killer is a waste of time, energy and resources.
Now with this change, you "billy mains" have something else to think about while using the chainsaw instead of just how fast you can mow down a survivor with literally no negative downsides. I embrace and rejoice with these minor tweaks... Billy is still a very strong killer, just with a negative side-effect to his chainsaw, which is over due.
Great Job BHVR, keep up the good work.
Maybe we're just tired of getting shafted by inept devs that dont play their own game

Hag teleporting to traps only every 20 seconds?
Demogorgon having a cooldown of 15 seconds after his jump?
or maybe clown because he was buffed to hard? now he can only throw 1 bottle and the next one only if the effet of the first one wears off?
place your bets
Huntress is going to suffer a stun when she holds her hatchet up for too long

Both her addons and her needed a nerf. Before, a good nurse could wipe ANY survivor team no matter how they played. A good nurse can obviously still do it as she is still the best killer in the game. I think nurse is in the perfect state right now. The hardest killer in the game, but godlike if you have mastered her
I disagree that nurse is still the best killer. I think spirit beats her 2x over now. Unless you're a robot and can hit all of your blinks. Then sure nurse is better. Spirit is more consistent at ending chases now, isnt map dependent like nurse is, and is a 110 movespeed killer. Plus spirit has way better addons with no downsides to them. Except the amulet. Which was again...over nerfed

I agree here, Freddy is easier than spirit. Could also explain his extremely high kill ratio: everyone can stomp lobbys with him
I think the problem with the disparity of killer kill rates is ease of use. Of course spirit, freddy, and even maybe hag are getting a lot of kills because once good players learn new strategies that are hard to work around against for survivors, those killers will dominate the low ranks, the most vocal side of the community and unfortunately the most listened to. The devs dont need to touch Billy's power at all. Only his addons. Look at what they did to nurse. She was only OP with addons. She was merely strong without addons, as every killer should be. But they gutted her and now I dont even want to learn her. I was okay before but the power cooldown just ruined her. The slowest killer in the game that needs her power to traverse, gets shafted in mobility and got the fun factor completely stripped because the devs dont know what they're doing. They want every killer to be B tier. Fastest way to destroy your own game is to nerf things

nah id argue freddy is easier

Just the way they tip-toe about and pick up the likes of Jeff, Jane or David...a real eyeball-roller.
Whilst the entire Legion seem like individuals that the average joe might have a chance against in a fight, at least Frank comes across as quite sinister.
They can pick those characters up because they are super powered by the entity. Its kind of in the cannon lore

Ill say it a million times, SHE DOES NOT NEED STRIDOR IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!! its a total waste of a perk slot. confusing as hell when theyre not running iron will and id rather run a better perk anyways. you shouldnt be phasing for the whole bar anyways you should be phasing in short bursts. So if they are running iron will, youll be able to phase in a couple of seconds.

RIP Nurse, RIP Billy, ######### you spirit you needed your nerf
if spirit gets touched any more shell be unplayable. Shes yet another example of why killers dont need to be 110 move speed. If she gets any massive nerfs they at least need to make her 115.

Thank you for this @Hoodied it explains things very well.
The Devs do know their own game, they know their game very well indeed. And yes, Billy will now require that little bit more skill to effectively manage his power - I personally don't see that as a bad thing at all. He's still going to be very strong and there's still going to be counterplay to him.
I disagree. I never see them make any meaningful changes to killer to better the experience. When they do, they make it clear that theyre doing things for survivors fun instead. The billy nerf is clearly another survivor biased nerf becuase why else would they? Adding the cooldown doesnt add a skill ceiling to billy. He already had that. Its actually lowering it. The fact that it already has a lengthy chargeup and takes timing to get just right already took skill. Their nurse rework made her extremely unfun to play as but not against. Look at the amount of likes this post garnished, It goes to show you that probably the majority of the community agrees, If you showed every single person on this forum the post, id say at least 60 to 70 percent would agree with it. They continue to not balance around the best players and so the weaker of the two sides (killer) is constantly getting the shaft and pretty soon, every single killer will have a huge detriment or a cooldown. No more raw power for killers, that was a thing of the past

Fire Up is generally accepted as a meme perk, especially since it's usefulness depends on you losing, similar to NOED. I think if movement speed was included in the speed-up buffs, it could be an alternative to PWYF and NOED. Just make it something small like 1-2% extra speed per stack. I also think that closing the hatch should get you to 5 stacks instantly, since NOED works the same way because all the generators are technically done. That could make Fire Up useful against teams with a key. What do you think? Is a Fire Up buff enough to shake up the meta a little?
The only meaningful buff would be to take away the gens getting done to power it up part. SInce freddys no longer an end game killer idk why his perks havent gotten changed as well. Like how theyre doing hillbilly and leatherfaces. Fire Up should be an activateable perk that gives value throughout the game instead of peaking endgame. It needs to be completely changed

That shouldn't happen unless you have a really bad connection, in which case you probably shouldn't be getting those sorts of hits to begin with (your bad connection is giving you an advantage).
If your connection is good, you shouldn't notice any difference. Your hits will still be 100% instantaneous and feel exactly as they do now.
i wish i could believe this, but idk man i have a great connection and the dedicated servers still kick me out of games at all stages of it from time to time. Then i get to wait out a temp ban by no fault of my own. I just dont understand why you're giving the survivors the check first? is it to keep them quiet about the latency thing? Because theres more survivors than killers? I think its a bad idea as well

Why is it that every time a killer or a very liked perk gets nerfed/reworked in a way people dislike they feel the need to make matches as unenjoyable as possible for the opposing side?
Every... damn... time...
Also this: "Ruin the game for every new player or casual friend group that you come across." is straight up disgusting. Purposefully bullying lower ranks/new players is straight up disgusting and petty af.
Bullying newer players isn't going to get these changes reverted. It didn't work when ruin got changed, it didn't work when other killers got changed and it didn't work when legendary skins (Lisa) were introduced either...
Really shows what kind of community this is if the first idea is to make the game unenjoyable for everyone involved.
Its because the devs dont listen to their loyal fanbase and the players feel helpless and feel like its the only way to be heard. Im all for it to be honest. They need better communication with their fans and stop catering to the low ranks.

Well I wouldn't say nothing is op😂 Huntress with Iridescent Head, Infantry Belt, and a Mori is pretty OP in the wrong hands😂 Spirit with Stridor and a Mori is pretty OP. I get your point though 😂 Oh, Bubba Insidious camping is clearly OP as well👀😂
disagree with everything on this list. IRI head huntress add on needs another purple add on to be remotely good and at that point you only get 3. Hillbillys chainsaw at base is stronger and i will forever fight for that opinion. Spirit with stridor is confusing as F and is hard to pinpoint survivors with no iron will. and bubba with insidious is completely countered by spine chill, voice comms and kindred.

Billy can definitely be OP in the right hands. You just don't see that often because most matches you never go against a Hillbilly and most people that play him aren't good with him.
Theres nothing that i would consider OP about any killer in dead by daylight now. OP has turned into a buzzword for bad survivors who dont know the difference between overpowered and strong. The key words are "in the right hands" implying that you even acknowledge that someone cant simply pick up hillbilly and wreck house with him. People that have gotten good with him have simply put in the time and effort to learn his intricacies

Running curve add-ons and revving the chainsaw for 20 minutes waiting for the Survivor to make a mistake is about as skillful as "mindgaming" with Spirit
If thats what you truly believe happens you're severely misguided and dont understand mindgames at all. Try doing that against the better survivors or survivors that own at least some knowledge of loops. Most games last less than 10 as well. if youre going to use sarcastic scenarios at least get the timeframe of an actual game right.

idk man, my spirit is pretty strong lol. maybe the rare double window rng of tiles together to maybe have a chance against me addon-less. If i notice a survivor trying to abuse something like that i stop chasing that survivor and go for the weaker ones. Its a 1 in a million game where all 4 survivors are that good to beat my spirit. At most ill take 3 of them. I can say that in confidence. I slug a lot early game too to keep the pressure high. So theres that as well

I never understood that mantra either, for me it always feel weird the fact that Hillbilly was the only Killer able to spam his power nonstop without any drawbacks, everyone else has limited use of his power or its situational or requires certain requisites to start using it.
his drawback was the charge time and inability to steer well with the saw. Also if he bumps into something theres an animation and youre stuck in place. Thats literally all there needs to be, and this is coming from someone who rarely plays billy anymore. Most new maps are kinda anti billy, just like huntress
-
totally on board. Starting now. I dont even care anymore. The devs dont listen to any meaningful balance suggestions anyways. Might as well make new survivors feel exactly how ive been feeling as a killer player for 4 years now.

Because a killer with unlimited instadowns on demand and the ability to cross the map back and forth with no cooldown was perfectly balanced right?
the fact that theres a chargeup and you actually have to aim it is pretty balanced actually.
-
you sir are why i dont play survivor. Half of the survivor player base make extremely poor choices and dont use any form of common sense like running, injured to a hooked survivor to make a save while being chased by the killer. Or the other half, which are spoiled, Entitled brats, that lash out at the community/devs when they dont get their way. Theyre the ones who type hate in post game chat or message you on console after you kill them, even though they have an extreme advantage at every turn.
-
@Dehitay said:
On the up side, they pretty much finished up the list of killers they can shove charges and cooldowns on. Wraith will be the only one left after this and his power isn't really set up for either of those.
Imagine if they did this crap to survivors. You can only repair a generator for 40 seconds before you overheat and have to cooldown and do something else. Ironically, it would probly help balance the game, but boy would there be an uproar.
posted this on another post. Ill repost on mine too. The scary part is i can actually see them going through with some of these.
huntress' arm will get tired after holding up her hatchet for too long and take a 3 second stun.
Wraith will get burned out of his power and suffer a 30 second cool down if he stays invisible for too long.
the clowns power will go on cooldown instead of manually refilling
trapper now has to wait 15 seconds before placing a new trap and if he accidentally steps in a trap, he'll be slowed to 110% for 15 seconds after freeing himself

When I go against a plague or freddy with slowdown addons I ADAPT, I dont complain about it.
i think anyone who realises the state of the game right now is bad and doing things like this only make it worse will agree with me to a point. believe it or not there are people who enjoy both sides and not mindlessly play one and defend it to the death. If you play one side, youre missing out on half of the content. Expand your experience and get out of your comfort zone

But that doesn't fix the problem. Ormond was """nerfed""" but look at it now. It's still completely broken. Just because there was a nerf to something doesn't mean it was the right one. Spirits problem is only exacerbated by her add-ons. Spirits problem is there is no actual way to counter the power other than hoping she screws up. Freddy requires absolutely zero skill to play and has some of the best anti-loop in the game. You place a snare and they either give you the pallet or you hit them. There's not a loss in that scenario.
there is no spirit problem if you play stealthily and not try to loop her like shes a wraith. Do survivors really wanna play against every killer the same way? Thats all i get out of posts like these asking for specific killer nerfs. pre drop pallets against freddy. Ez hes loopable just like every killer. His power is basically a worse version of clowns yet i dont hear survivors complaining about clown lol

I've been having a blast with him lately whereas before I constantly considered him the worst killer in the game. This was a match against abunch of rank 2s (couldve been rank 1 before the match, i dunno). Was basically a perfect game point-wise as well with me only missing out on 100 points in sacrifice. In all fairness though...I HAVE been using his UR addon Tatoo man's middle finger which grants some aura reading to any survivor who steps in his gas. Since I've been lvling him up, Ive been able to get plenty of them as well as black wards.
hes okay but will get trashed on maps like haddonfield still and of course against the sweatiest swf that never make mistakes. I learned now that its better to just tap his bottle throw, you dont slow down so its always a free hit if youre in the open lol. I would always hold it, i never play clown but now i might level him up a bit more

can confirm this, even if you play the bare minimum and have been actively leveling up your characters you should have at least 100 by now. I probably have like 300 but nobodys getting my cake, screw survivors. Its why i have over 1000 party streamers

Why even bother putting weaker versions of perks on addons? What is the point when you can have 4 perks but only 2 addons and you can just run the normal better version of the perk anyways?
It really does seem like the devs have learned NOTHING from the failure of the nurse rework.
Its because they dont listen to their hardcore fans that actually know what theyre talking about and just do things they think we want. If it were up to us, there would be no NOED or DS, no maps like Midwitch or haddonfield. Thered be less toxicity overall, but they "know what theyre doing"

I am so sorry i didnt get that you only wanted to tunnel those two survivors carelessly. LOL
its not tunneling if they bomb the hook though. Thats simply survivor error that they get away with. They know the outcome of the scenario before it even happens. Yet BT and DS still proc after the survivors intentionally progress the game. IMO DS and BT should turn off after making a save or doing a gen/ healing someone. But the devs dont know good balance choices and their game will forever trigger their loyal playerbase just to get the middle finger and say gg ez
