Speaking as a gay guy...You're goddamn shallow. Quit begging for "representation" in the form of such a completely trivial character trait. Take pride in your personality, not your superfluous, immutable characteristics.
I'd much rather read about a character's chosen profession and last moments than who they prefer to bone. And most other people who have been raised to see themselves as a person rather than a checklist feel the same way.
Thank you. I get the feeling that most of the people asking for/demanding "representation" don't even belong to the groups they're asking/demanding representation for. Most of us don't really give a #########.
I'm not a woman, but I'd rather see a badass character like Ellen Ripley or Sarah Connor (some of the most badass women in all of science fiction, IMO) - badasses who happen to be women - than a female character designed to fit some imagined quota. Likewise, I'd prefer a character like Jack Harkness - an intelligent man and trustworthy person who happens to be "omnisexual" - even if he embodies some of the stereotypes about bisexuals (namely, promiscuity), than have a character created to be bisexual. -

You're just bad at the game.
I have no target to be "bad" or "good" in this game. Everything is relative. Bad relative to top player? Let it be so. I want to enjoy the game, and for this i think not necessary to be a top. I am not a newbie, and this should be enough.
Bad relative to how good you think you are.

Lets just agree to disagree.I'm an adult myself, FYI. I just don't want my gaming experience ruined because some guy thinks that paying for a service gives him the right to screw over everyone else. If you're not using the product properly, you get punished. If you can't use the product properly, that's your problem.

Maybe you should use common sense. You can say that about pretty much anything?
Yes of course it's common sense to most, that DC'ing isn't okay, but if you have a job where you often get calls in your free time, but still want to play a game, then you will get reminded that you risk getting banned if you do it too much.
To a person in this position, it might not be immediately obvious that they will get banned for doing their job. With a prompt to remind them, they might just alt-tab.
Again; it's odd to have a button that essentially can get you banned for pressing it.
There is no arguing with minor bans, only permanent ones. You don't get banned for one DC. You get banned when you constantly DC. If you don't have the time to play an online game, then go play a single-player game that has an actual pause button instead of ruining the experience for everyone else. Your real-life limitations are just that: yours.

As i previously stated, I'm fine with banning people who DC, but there should be a prompt telling you that continuous DC's can get you banned.Maybe you should use common sense. If that doesn't work, read the rules of the game.

They're the only viable Killers when Survivors play perfectly, so people who play competitively flock to them. The Nurse in particular only wins when the Survivors are worse than the person playing her.
-
DC is a faster derank than letting yourself die, so it accomplishes something. Just because the problem isn't 100% solved doesn't mean a partial solution shouldn't be tried. Given all the threads from chronic DCers who were banned and threads like yours "cleverly" disguised to try to seem like you're not scared shitless you might be next, I'd say that they did a pretty good job so far - no sarcasm.

Your tastes do not determine reality or right and wrong. You're just another homophobe.

Then you should encourage all those survivor streamers or good survivor players to stop deranking, since they doing it will influence a lot of their viewers/other people to do the same. if none of them deranked you wouldnt need to derank in order to find more tough matches.
I don't know how many times I have to repeat the same sentence: I derank for faster queues. Before the emblem system, I never deranked because queues were faster. The end.
And by doing so, you cause longer queues.

I'm so glad the Nurse on PS4 doesn't have the same impact on the game as she does on PC. Sounds like she's a real tough cookie on PC but I've seen maybe 5 out of 200 games or so on PS4.The nurse has zero counterplay on pc. If the nurse plays well she is going to win and there isn't anything you can do about it. The only way you win vs Nurse is if she plays poorly and makes mistakes.
Matches against the Nurse are a matter of skill. If you lose, it means the other player was better than you.

Has it ever been considered to allow killers to filter their lobbies to block swf? That is, allow them to block swf of certain sizes (allow duos but not 4 stacks or block swf entirely). I'm sure certain players who don't mind swf would allow it to get more challenging gameplay but people at low ranks could avoid being stomped.
There is a natural penalty built into this system on both sides because queue times would be longer for larger swf groups and for killers that block swf.The concern is that nobody would want to play against SWF (because of its inherently broken nature in this game), so such a thing will probably never be implemented.
-
Not at all. I, too, like the animations. They're a treat for both sides, as I see it.

Other people - the ones using the product properly - are customers too.

Well, that's not how it's perceived. There's your answer.

@OrionIt really angers me how quickly people are to get outraged and blame others theses past few years. The anonymity and freedom created by the internet makes people feel invisible and separated from what they project onto others. Half these people would crumble if these conversations had to take place face to face because they would actually have to be prepared to face consequences or at least be forced to think on what they want to say before saying it.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but it's not a recent development. Scapegoats have been used for a very long time by both the ruling class and the ruled. It's simply human nature to avoid responsibility for your actions, because it implies that you're wrong.

The amount of disconnects stands in no correlation to the amount of lag switchers.
I've over 1000 hours and I can count the lag switchers I've seen on 1 hand.
Almost every match has people disconnecting, because there was no apparent punishment. Also, the switch from peer 2 peer to dedicated servers is way more complicated than you think. It's probably not even possible, since it may be hardcoded.
Explain the amount of DCing that goes on with console because there is no such thing as lag switchers or hacking there and yet 9/10 games seem to have at least 1 person DC. Its due to lack of punishment that people DC and cannot be blamed on BHVR. People are responsible for their own actions don't try pointing that finger at anyone else and take responsibility for yourself if you DC.
Tsulan is right about switching server styles it isn't possible to just flip a switch and make it happen as it takes loads of money and time to set servers up and re-code game files to run on a new server setup. As I'm not on the programming team at BHVR I don't know how deeply that coding change would need to go to even switch the server type.
Forget it, if he blames everything on "millennials" he's usually the type of person to project his faults onto everyone else and ignore his own entitlement, unwillingness to take personal responsibility, etc.

they aren't using it properly? ok so just take a step back you are contradicting yourself now, it clearly states that you are to be banned for quitting games as it comes under unsportsmanship so that means even if it is a emergency then you are to be banned for leaving the game. can I just say what about people that I don't know live in remote places of the world they have crappy internet but rely on what they get and they want to play dbd so should they be banned if they get disconnected because it happens to me, I live in a rather remote place and im not gonna lie the internet here is crap you get what your given in the highlands but I don't think I should be banned for things out of my control. ridiculous arrangement to my mind
You are not banned for a single disconnect. You are only banned if you disconnect a certain (high) percentage of matches, and nobody has that many emergencies.
If your internet is so crappy that you're disconnecting more often than not, then you need to stop playing online games. That's on you; you chose to play a game you know you don't have the equipment for.
My internet's not the greatest either, but if I know if my connection is not stable, I stop playing because at that point, having a bad connection that would normally just affect me, would also affect the gaming experience of 4 other people. Fortunately for me, the only time I lost connection was during the loading screen, so my absence didn't affect the match too much (they had 1 less gen to repair).
That is called "personal responsibility", and it is a beautiful thing. Kudos.

Honestly people wouldn't even want to de rank if they reworked/gutted the nurse, nerfed Billy, and extended the games. The game becomes almost unplayable on both sides with how unfun it is at low ranks. Either super sweaty survivors extend loops for a long time and you lose off gens being done while you are chasing someone for a long time. Or, you play the of the top tier killers and become really oppressive for survivors to play against. The game is always really unbalanced for one side or the other. And it's incredibly frustrating and not fun to encounter this. I don't blame anyone for de ranking. Those Killers are fine. You need to learn how to counter them instead of trying to pallet loop your way to an easy win.
The nurse is not fine. At all. She is so stupidly overpowered that it's pathetic the Devs haven't gutted her yet. The most unbalanced character i have ever encountered in a game. And the only thing they really need to nerf on Billy is his cross map mobility. If they fix that he will be fine.
The Nurse is almost perfect from a design perspective, because the outcome depends almost completely on the skill of all players involved. When you pit a Nurse against Survivors of equal skill, she achieves the 2-kill average, meaning she's balanced for skill.
In other words, the problem is that you're simply worse than the Nurses you encounter. -

You're only supposed to disconnect when you have to. It's there for emergencies, like if you find a gamebreaking bug that makes it impossible for you to progress in the trial, or you need to drive someone to the hospital. Anyone who gets banned for disconnecting too often deserves it.So you are comparing an in-game leave future "misuse" as you put it to a misuse of an emergency number. I'm sorry but if you believe that then I rest my case as I don't have the capacity to deal with someone so detached from actually reality. Good luck!
