I hope you guys aren't the same people who called the Spirit weak during the PTB.She was weak during the PTB and after release. She wasn't even in her intended state until some time after release.

With each game being 10 or less minutes long, I've gotten enough to learn the Killer's power is beyond weak. At least at rank 5 anyway. The high rank survivors are dominating the New Killer. I suppose low rank is probably having an easier time.So you've played for 12 games, congrats.

I've been playing PTB since release.. Game after game trying to learn the Killer and have some form of fun. Instead I found possibly the most unfun and frustrating games I've ever played. I've literally had more fun as and against Freddy then as and against this new killer. So you've played the PTB for all of two hours and haven't already learned everything there is to know about the Killer? Who could have guessed?!
Well the skill cap of the new killer isnt that high....

I haven't tried them, so I can't agree or disagree, but I do know that two hours is not enough to master any Killer.

You know what I'm disappointed by? After two years, people are still judging things prematurely. Really fuels my misanthropy.

Would Leatherface fall in the same category as Huntress? I havent watched the movie in a while. As far as I remember, he was still treated by his family as a child? From what I know, no. Although he was immature, Leatherface knew what he was doing was wrong; he just didn't want to disappoint his family. He's more along the lines of codependency and approval-seeking taken to an extreme level.
Keep in mind, though, I'm no psychiatrist. -
As someone who makes good use of lockers, I like this change.

Sally had a mental breakdown and likely suffers from depression and PTSD due to her job. It's not uncommon for healthcare professionals to become depressed; in fact, they have the highest suicide rate out of any profession, IIRC.
Anna is a sociopath, of sorts. She feels no empathy because she was never given the chance to develop it, and she has no concern for societal norms because she was never taught them. Her mind is somewhere between that of a wild, predatory animal and a small child; she only cares about the very basics - food and shelter. -

I agree gen placement needs to be looked at. other day was in a random solo que match on swamp and literally two gens right next to each others so close that I got leader from the person working on the other gen. this should in my opinion never happen. some will say it was because he ran by me but the fact is he didn't we both finished our gens about 10 seconds apart and I kept the leadership for the duration of doing the gen over 40 seconds with neither of us moving. i have also seen two gens spawn upstairs in a Haddonfield house. one on the left side room from the stairs and one in the right side room both upstairs.See, now those are relevant examples. OP's was about a 1v1 situation (literally just 1 Survivor spawning), which is not relevant for balancing purposes.

I'm just saying that if there are less than 4 survivors, the gens seem to spawn closer together.
Based on your experience in KYF.

Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball GT.

KYF is not a game mode that requires balance; the whole point is to play around with friends in a non-competitive, non-serious setting.

If they are body blocking the stairs and not moving/letting you leave whatsoever, that counts as holding the game hostage and can be bannable. Not if the Survivor is hooked and will die eventually while all the others swarm around like buzzards, or if the Killer is waiting for BT to go away. Then it's just smart.
I was talking about if they trap you down there and you can't leave. But yeah, It's smart to keep the others out.
Well, that's not the situation described in the OP. You should be more specific, or else the mods will get swarmed with false reports.

I think the devs should draw (more) inspiration from Silent Hill and remake both the Spirit World and the Dream Realm.
-
Where it matters - at the top - it's still Survivor-favored.

Christ almighty, you're way too dramatic. If you're in jail and get abused by your 120 kg cellmate, that's bullying. If you're 12 and your overaged classmate burns your toes with matches and threatens to do worse if you tell anyone, that's bullying.
Some random guy you're playing a video game with wins against you, and taps ctrl before leaving the game, as a conventional signal of mocking - where does it stand on the bullying scale, compared to my two examples above? At 1, as opposed to 10? Maybe 0,5?
This. Is. A. Game.Yeah, yeah, I'm the one at fault for not normalizing this kind of behavior. This is the same BS bullies try to shovel down their victims' throats, right up until they commit suicide.
I'm repeating myself (literally copy/paste) because discussions of this nature are pointless with someone like you. Hopefully, however, some open-minded people will realize that normalizing this behavior is bad for the game. -

And she’s very easily looped during that state, making her reliant on bloodlust (if she wants to get a hit), but due to the nature of her kit, she can’t have an immense lunge. So a movement speed buff would make complete sense.Indeed. A similar mechanic could be argued for the Hag (higher movement speed if no traps are set).

I swear i love it when killers run TOTH, it's a "summon the killer" button.
1 or 2 weeks ago i was playing with friends and we were facing a clown with ruin and toth. Bot hexes were kinda close to each other, we took turns to tap them and killer kept coming, so damn hilarious.
We removed both of them eventually and as soon as we did it killer DCed 😂😂😂And then you wonder why Killers dodge SWF when you troll them like that?
Come on Orion, it's not that much of a trolling. I tend to agree with you most of the time, but if you don't mind me saying, you're a little too sensitive to various kinds of "trolling".
Take teabagging for example: I admit I used to be furious at those exit gates taunts, but on the other hand, survivors too have to face camping Leatherfaces or insanely skilled Nurses every now and then, which is also a very frustrating experience. And when they manage to escape, some, filled with a mix of relief and childish schadenfreude may feel a little poking is in order. Such things translate to me as a Cartman-like "nanana naa naa, you can't touch my fat butt" thing. It's childish, but really, we're mostly adults playing video games: I think some childish behaviour is completely acceptable. Most of them are not really out to ruin the killer's day, just messing around for fun.
I actually tested this theory, and the majority of those games when I get destroyed by "trolling" SWF-s I still get plenty of "gg wp"-s and "man I feel bad about that wasted Mori" and so on. But only if I manage to get some dignity and say "gg wp" first. They did play better. Pointing out what advantages they enjoy due to comm and better organization just makes the killer look butthurt, even if it's right.Gosh, I'm preaching again. Anyway, I don't think raging over losing to tough opponents is worth it. And as for the real trolls (basically it's just the very small number of cheaters plus the ones who throw obscenities at you after game): they are rare, and they can be ignored without serious, umm, emotional damage.
Yeah, yeah, I'm the one at fault for not normalizing this kind of behavior. This is the same BS bullies try to shovel down their victims' throats, right up until they commit suicide.

Wait, i've seen you saying "this is pvp game, i'm not here to make their game fun". Funny you apparently do it only for one side.
As i said before, we took turns because he kept coming over. Any killer with enough brain would know that the best way to prevent survivors from surviving is to stop them from doing gens, not camping the totems, especially against swf.
It was his fault regardless of what you think, period. There's a difference between actively and purposefully making the game not fun for someone and passively and unintentionally making the game not fun for someone. The former is what you did - you wanted to troll him, nothing more. The latter is what many people complain about when the other side doesn't play by their made-up rules.
You were trolling him. You are part of the problem. -
@Vietfox said:
As i said, we took turns so the other 2 can finish the gens, it's called playing smart.
You know when you guys say camping is rewarding thanks to all those altruistic survivors? This is exactly the same situation. It was rewarding for us because the killer kept trying to protect the totems.
If you still think i was toying with him i suggest you to go to all those threads about camping/bodyblocking the basement stairs and support them as well.I think you were toying with him because of what you said. You didn't do it because you needed to; you did it because you thought it was funny to troll him. You thought it was funny to make someone's game so unfun that they end up disconnecting.
You are part of the problem. -
@Vietfox said:
It was his fault to camp the totems and we took advantage of it, nothing wrong with that.
I never camp the totems because it's stupid to expect them to be there the whole match.
If he had chased us instead of camping them he would had had better results.Yes, it's his fault you decided to toy with him just because you could and because you knew there was nothing he could do about it (i.e.: you decided to be abusive).
You are part of the problem, period. -

No, they are using intended gameplay mechanics with a countered gameplay mechanic. By not allowing them to even enter for the attempt is exploiting his collision to end that person, period. Not camping with risks of safe or unsafe. Simply saying, "no, this is how were playing this game now".Your comparison of flashlight saves (which require timing and an intended mechanic) and standing in the path of a player to prevent ANOTHER intended gameplay mechanic, is ludicrous.
Camping is also an intended mechanic, as is bodyblocking. What's not an intended mechanic is Survivors being able to ignore the Killer's presence.
-
@Carpemortum said:
Its preventing intended gameplay mechanics by not allowing an unhook. How is that hard to get? It's like when people sat inside you on hook so you couldnt get saved. That got patched out because it was exploiting a mechanic or collision box in an unintended way. Also, no one was hooked? His first line says he was hooked...
The Killer doesn't have to allow for an unhook. Survivors using flashlights when Killers pick up other Survivors also prevent gameplay mechanics (carrying and hooking).

You seem to be missing the point that pretty much EVERY game does the American holidays and Northern hemisphere season with no regard to anywhere else
About 88% of the world's population lives in the northern hemisphere, and about 100% of game companies are in the northern hemisphere as well.

Bison has the most, I cant remember his steam name but last I checked +10k if memory servesThis person would either be dead or suffering from severe medical issues if he'd actually played the game for that long. He probably just leaves it running in the background.
Explanation:
- 2 years are 17520 hours.
- Assuming he sleeps 8 hours a night, that's 11680 hours.
- Assuming he's not playing for 2 hours every day (cooking, eating, bathroom breaks, etc.), that leaves 10220 hours during which he can actually play the game.
- In the end, that leaves about zero hours to pay bills, clean, etc. - stuff that people have to do.
one never knows, maybe Bison had zero life and made DBD his reason of existence
I'm not sure you understand. Sitting down in roughly the same position for 14 hours a day every day for over two years would cause considerable damage to his spine, lungs, digestive system, muscles, and so on.

Keep in mind you will need data on how many times self-unhook attempts don't succeed, regardless of the situation. EDIT: And you will need to register this data over thousands upon thousands of trials, as per the law of large numbers.

Just because some don't stream or when they do don't stream on their main account to not be trolled doesn't mean they don't play their game. This reminds me of the League forums where that nonsense was perpetuated.
You at least know better and have the common sense to accept that, others however make you wonder sometimes.
