Matchmaking can't match you with people who aren't there. PTB dies out pretty quickly; you need friends for KYF matches. But the PTB started yesterday! How is it dead already? Or do people just not bother?
Survivors usually don't bother for more than a few hours because they want points, and everyone else is playing Killer. Also, every time I try to get a group of people for KYF during the PTB, even if I speak directly to people like you, nobody seems interested. They'd rather complain than be part of the solution.

Suggestions are not the same as an actual character you spend time making from scratch. Look at the guy who made a mask model that BHVR bought. That's what I mean when I say "make one".
So you're talking about a finalized design, complete with concept art and perhaps in-game models? If so, yeah on that they probably would buy it outright since the person would have done all the work for them save the coding.
Well, yeah.

Leatherface's Franklin's Demise perk and The Pig's Jigsaw's Baptism (sans head trap) were based on my user submitted ideas. The only thing I received for either one was community acknowledgement in the Steam forums.
And I'm cool with that. Anything we post or submit publically is fair game for a company as far as I understand things.

What exactly is wrong with just using offerings?they're talking about base chance, not map offerings. The problem I see is that people are consecutively getting the same map and they are finding it boring to play. If there was more of a chance to get other maps then people may be more inclined to continue playing.
There could literally be a billion maps, and some people would still be getting the same maps several times in a row, because that's how probability works.

Survivor favored. Gens go by really fast and it is still easy to loop Killers. How are your anti-healing strategies supposed to work if Survivors keep looping you? You are forced to either keep chasing the Survivor and hope that you can get that hit in before too many gens have been completed or disengage and have to find a healthy Survivor and hope that they don't loop you long enough for the rest of the gens to be completed.Right. Or....abandon the chase and or God loops to stop the gen objectives. There are more than a few loops where you as the smart Killer must abandon because its too hard to get the hit. If a chase goes on for a duration of time and the Survivor goes to yet another loop the Killer will in most cases go the other way thus abandoning that chase because its not worth it.
I also stopped chasing Decisive playersSo you agree it's Survivor-favored, since despite being the supposedly weaker role in this asymmetrical game, they can effectively force the supposedly stronger role to leave them alone.

The devs designed him so you don't use his ability to down survivors. Downing with Frenzy is pretty much similar to blood lusting efficiency wise. The playstyle is once you hit 1 survivor the others nearby are highlighted. You hit everyone nearby then run down the last guy you hit without your power.
The powers strength is when you hit multiples they must heal thus slowing the game.
Power is just a slow down game thing assuming survivors are dumb enough to be close together.
Hello
That is correct. I just wanted to confirm our intention. It is very easy to get a hit with him but harder to down survivor.
At first, the balance is in the favor of the killer then it is put back in the hand of the Survivor. We will probably talk more about the design intention on a future stream. Thank you!
I'm a big dev fanboy, so you should take the following statement to heart: your intent as you explained it here is bad for the Killer. To make it so that a Killer power goes from helping the Killer to harming the Killer is bad in terms of balance. The Killer is essentially being punished for using their power.

OP is a Survivor main. That and their name should tell you everything you need to know.
The only way you would know that is if they'd told you so. And they've said explicitly that they're a killer main. Also.. what does their name tell us exactly? That they play killer but are a decent human being? Gasp! God forbid such a person exist.
I must've confused him for someone else. I remembered reading a comment by someone with the same profile pic and a similar name saying they were a Survivor main. I checked a few of his comments and couldn't find it, likely meaning I was mistaken.
That said, their name tells us that they don't play to win. It doesn't make them a "decent human being", as you said (although that's quite telling), it makes their opinions pointless when discussing balance changes like this, since all they want to do is play "pin the tail on the donkey and let the donkey walk out of the gates".I don't think that's necessarily true, it's something you're reading into it based on how you think of "friendly" killers. I think, for starters, being friendly does make someone a decent human being. But friendly doesn't mean that you don't play to win, in this case it likely just means that he either aims to play in such a way that makes the game fun for everyone while still playing competitively, which is definitely possible to do, and/or is kind to people he plays against. That doesn't mean he lets them go, just that he's a good sport. I think all of those things are to be applauded, not looked down upon.
You either play to win or you handicap yourself. You can't have it both ways.
There was a link going around some time ago about scrubs and what "play to win" actually means, wish I'd saved it.I know you can because I've experienced it time and again. A handicap doesn't mean crippling yourself. It just means you make it harder for yourself to win, but you still try to win regardless. Say if you're playing a board game you're good at with your family, it's the difference between brutally slaughtering your opponents and taking advantage of their inferior skills, or playing to beat them but doing it in such a way that they learn and have fun at the same time. Yes, maybe you don't win as efficiently or by as great a margin as you might have otherwise, but it's not crippling yourself if you still win, it's just being compassionate towards the other players. For some people, compassion for strangers you're never going to see again isn't important, and I understand that, but personally I still think it's an admirable quality to have.
Handicap yourself or play to win. Pick one. "Play to win" means playing to the full extent of your ability, period.
Well, no, and I just explained why. Restating your point isn't an argument. But given that that's the case, I'm not going to repeat myself. So okay. Let's just agree to disagree, I guess?
Yes, let's agree that you're wrong. You either play to win or you handicap yourself. Playing to win means actually playing to win, by using the full extent of your ability. The instant your concern switches to "let's not trigger my opponent", you're not playing to win any more.

That's interesting, I had assumed that mend only applied to the effect created by the killer's power, and borrowed time was still much the same. So basically, the timer is shorter, but tunnelling a survivor on BT is discouraged and they can do the same thing they used to do to recover, except they now don't need self care to do it?Also @Orion You needn't be so harsh on @Kalec84 . If you understand what he means to say, then surely that's more important at this point, given that he has managed to communicate his true point one way or another. There's no reason to keep going on about the words he used when you know what he actually meant.
There's a reason to keep going on about the words he used because that's what everyone is going to read. Intent cannot be divined from plain text.

You are both missing the thing I was focusing on, which is when tunneling is done as a BAD strategy. I understand that it can have merits in a lot of cases (some killers base kits practically focus on it, like bing bong boi here) but there are many times where killers will put themselves in an absurdly disadvantageous position just to make a single survivor's game awful. I'm talking survivors coming out of games with a 0/700/0/8000 point spread because the killer refuses to go after anyone else, defend gens, etc. It sounds hyperbolic, but it happens a lot, even at red ranks.I understand why a lot of killers get defensive about this, because of the overwhelming survivor mentality of "I need to survive every single game behavior plz," but there's definitely a middle ground to be had. The best games are always ones where the post game chat isnt full of salt from either side, but people offering advice and complimenting good plays.
This is exactly the kind of games that SHOULD be happening. There is a reason that some survivors are salty in the post game chat. The 0/700/0/8000 spread of points is the WORST as a survivor.
Yes, tunneling is a viable strategy but when the killer CONTINUOUSLY camps the hook with 4 or 5 gens left and ONLY goes after that one survivor, it’s just bad gameplay...making one survivors game awful for a stupid reason (maybe they have gotten all the trophies and the killer feels like they have something to prove, being a Twitcch streamer, bringing in a flashlight, etc...) is just unsportsmanlike. All survivor complains are not from pure salt due to having entitlement but maybe JUST MAYBE some killers actuallu have bad gameplay that results in a 0K/1K from making one survivors game brutal for no reason. It’s much more enjoyable when the killer is after ALL survivors.
Tunneling and camping when there are lots of gens is exactly when you SHOULD do it. And it works, too - get an opponent out of the game early and now its a 1v3, not a 1v4. The other gens are easy to defend against 3 survivors.
No it’s not what you should do. Good survivors will easily gen rush you when you tunnel and camp a single survivor. You’re leaving three survivors to fix gens. If you stand by the hook and they KNOW you are camping, by the time the one survivor on the hook is in struggle mode there is one generator left. This is one of the reasons why killers complain about generators getting done quickly because they have poor gameplay and poor gen control
Good Survivors are rare.

-

Is clearly stated in the patch notes they did this change because of this killerThey changed Deep Wound and Mend because they wanted to introduce both as a power mechanic.
The Killer's power, however, does not buff Survivors in any way; that's absurd. -
@Kalec84 said:
Yep, this is the first killer that have a power that actually buffed survivors...No, Mend is what got buffed. That's like saying the Doctor buffed Botany Knowledge because it allows you to Snap Out Of It more quickly.
-
Yup. Deep Wound (the name of the effect wherein a Survivor bleeds out after some time) will not have its timer deplete during a chase, and you can Mend (not heal; this will just cancel the bleedout timer but it will not heal by one health state) without any perks.
-
The Deep Would effect it provides got a buff. The perk itself was nerfed. This is the reverse of what happened to Self-Care, where healing was nerfed, but the perk remained the same.

Except you didn't? You're patting yourself on the back for being slightly close but acting like you were practically spot on. That's like saying if you said Spirit Fury was going to be that when a survivor drops their 2nd pallet it automatically breaks even if it doesn't hit the killer and the survivor's aura is revealed that you predicted Spirit Fury spot on when that's not even close to it.If you say so.
Your perk does the following:
- Your unhooking speed is increased by 9%.
- When rescuing a survivor from a hook, the hook will break.
- The rescuing survivor suffers from the Exhaustion effect for 60/50/40 seconds.
- Reckless cannot be activated while suffering from the Exhaustion effect.
- Reckless does not break Basement hooks.
Breakdown does the following:
- Any time you are removed from the hook (escaped or saved), the hook breaks.
- The Killer's aura will be shown to you for 4 seconds.
Differences:
- Breakdown is used by the person who was hooked, and not the person who did the unhooking.
- Breakdown does not increase unhooking speed.
- Breakdown activates even if you self-unhook.
- Breakdown does not give Exhaustion to the person being unhooked or the person unhooking.
- Breakdown activates no matter who's suffering from Exhaustion (primarily because Exhaustion is gone when you're hooked).
- Breakdown shows you the Killer's aura.
Similarities:
- Both result in a hook being broken after someone is unhooked.
That's six big differences and one tenuous similarity. So yeah, @purebalance does say so, as does everyone else who can look at it objectively.

My most fleshed-out Killer suggestion was about a Killer that could vault faster and could even vault pallets. I think the very concept of the Killer (4 people as one Killer) is meant to symbolize that they're drawn from multiple (fan) sources of inspiration.

Downing ppl with his power is not viable, his power is good for the first hit but that's it. Honestly if he was 115% he'd be fine.
His power is not meant to put people in the dying state directly, but rather to force Survivors to stop whatever they're doing. In that way, the Legion is better than the Pig.
