Will there be a winter event?

Last year we got an event, not expecting anything big since it hasn’t been advertised at all but can we expect a small event to go along with the chapter?

    They've done something for the last two years, so I would assume they will, but we will just have to wait and see.

    I just thought they would’ve advertised it by now. I guess they think the chapter having a winter themed map is enough

    We actually just finished week 6 on this roadmap, so there should be a new one soon! It should be in this thread when they do

    It's winter for the entire northern hemisphere, which contains more than a single country.

    Hopefully... I need a snowman skin for Wraith. Oh and Santa Clown and reindeer Huntress. No Krampus skin tho because I still want him to be a killer (O really hope its possible)

    About 88% of the world's population lives in the northern hemisphere, and about 100% of game companies are in the northern hemisphere as well.

    They're based in Canada. Where it is winter now. Case closed.

    They’re gonna make events for their main audience... America and Canada, not whenever u live. And why your complaining is beyond me, you get the same event we do regardless of it being “American flavoured,” or not

    See this is a very good reason why it's designed for winter events at the moment as it's designed for the majority of players which love in the northern hemisphere maby once they become more popular and make enough they can have a northern and southern base so events can be worked on for both hemisphere

    I think not queen was going to show off the winter lobby theme in the last dev stream but she didn't have the right link. It might have been something else but for whatever reason I thought it was that.

    I live in the Southern Hemisphere too, and yeah it sucks a little bit but honestly like Orion said, 88% of the global population live in the northern hemisphere. It's not about being American, it's about catering to the majority. If they were a New Zealand company, and 70% of their player base was Australian, say, then they would be more likely to do something more locally-themed. But it's a little unreasonable to flip out over there being snow in an event when a Winter theme is what's relevant to the company and the vast majority of their player base.

    To answer @borna_lk , they do a Christmas event of some form every year so it would surprise me if they didn't do one this year, especially since they still have Christmas-event-related achievements available on Steam. Also lmao why did you mark your own post as an answer to your question?
