I've been here long enough to know what you describe is not possible. If you're constantly depipping as well, how are you still rank 1?
-
@Lexxi27 said:
"too new". Rank 1 survivor. Rank 1-4 killers. everyone camps
Not possible. I'm sorry, but your story doesn't add up. If killers camp, they get very few points and depip, yet you claim they got 28k and are high ranked.
-
@Lexxi27 said:
Its stupid. It doesnt work. That was what i meant. Its stupid to discuss with this community, i am just gonna quit
It works for me and every survivor who tries it. Maybe you're just too new and facing killers who are also too new (which would explain all the camping).
-
@Lexxi27 said:
Yea cool, thank u for that great answer, but getting camped 3 times in a row doesn't feel like fun ^^. Its just a waste of time. Getting camped over and over again. Most of the killers don't even regret it or something. One of my friends literally gets camped every match. Really every single match. He just depips everytime and gets like 2-5k Bloodpoints. Its just not fair. No one understands it. They say just do gens. Nice, still a depip and around 10k bloodpoints, amazing. Destrike doesnt help cuz they just wait till its over. So ######### should we do then???
- Rush gens when someone is being camped.
- Hide when the killer comes around, so you don't get camped.
-
@Lexxi27 said:
only a 2 man party, told my mate to do gens, but he got camped after me. the other mates just waited next to the hook and did nothing ^^
Well, duh, when you get teammates like that, you're gonna get crushed. Happens to my SWF too.
-
@Lexxi27 said:
He had 28k last match, camped 2 of us and then slugged the last one. Got 2 Gens in this time. Amazing game
In 240 seconds you only got two gens? Did the guys he camped suicide on the hook or something?
-
@Lexxi27 said:
Dude, it literally works, 2 guys get camped. All gens are done. Both survivors who escaped depip cuz the only thing they did is doing gens. Think about it. its like with an afk Wraith. U dont get any points. Its so stupid. The killer gets 28k points at the end, the both camped get like 5k and the both who escaped get 10k. Its fcking stupid. I won't discuss with this community, its such a waste of time. We all just quit this game.
28k points from camping? Mathematically impossible.

The problem with that argument is you literally couldn't catch someone in an infinite. DS can be countered. You can choose to go after the rescuer. You can choose to slug. Or you can eat the stun. You're not forced to let them go. You do have options.
The rescuer might also have DS (and they often do). So now you're in a situation where you have to let two survivors go.
Slugging is pointless, they can get back up in seconds.
All this was brought up before, so I'll just type those three sentences and hope you read the rest of the thread because I'm tired of having the same conversation over and over again.

Just the fact you mention ranks shows you are clueless about a big aspect of the game and probably and hopefully don't have many hours in this game. If you do that is a shame you haven't learnt anything for all those hours. Rank literally shows nothing but how much you played in a month. If you watched any good streamers they also know rank means nothing there is extreme potatoes at rank 1 you think plays like rank 20 and god mode lords at rank 8.
So nothing matters, the fact that I disagree with you alone is enough for you to dismiss everything I say. And you talk to me about "discussing things scientifically"...

So you confess you are a KILLER MAIN who hates survivors and devs and in a war against them with full bias. Thank you for clarifying you can't discuss anything scientifically and objectively. Also if you wanna know what main I am here you can check my achievements and see yourself. https://steamcommunity.com/id/gandhisFlipFlop/stats/381210/achievements/
I'm a rank 4 survivor main. I said nothing about what I main until now (in this thread, anyway). Stop projecting.
PS: I am quite literally a scientist.

Just curious, why would you even be using noed? I'd assume you're really good at the game so why would you even need it?
You assume wrong. I'm above average Also, it's very, very funny when you hit survivors with NOED and they start panicking.

It is clearly better than your 3 seconds stun idea instead 5 seconds. We all know decisive strike is not fair in some situations but 3 seconds won't solve it but create more problems.
Getting it back to a 3-second stun, which the devs explicitly said was more than enough if Enduring didn't affect it, would do a lot to improve goodwill within the killer main community and is supported by the survivors who understand why their queue times are increasing.

You can call it an excuse, I call it lazy gameplay.
And forced to let them go? lol What's one way to counter DS?
Slug, no one says their invincible, no one says you can't leave them on the ground, and don't give me a "welL hE haS uNbreAkaBLE" because I rarely see that combo.
And as a killer main, I'm glad infinites were dealt with, the smaller and balanced maps, the better.
Can't slug someone in a locker. Can't grab and drop (slug) someone who's unhooking in your face if they have DS. Can't grab and drop someone who's working on a gen in your face. Can't accidentally grab someone vaulting a window. Can't grab someone working on a totem. Can't grab someone searching a chest.
DS is a fundamentally broken perk because it allows all this bullshit. If the stun isn't going to be reduced, even though that shows a clear double-standard and survivor bias, then it needs to be disabled outright if a survivor touches anything, gets in a locker, or is fully healed, or if the killer hooks someone else. That would make it balanced.

So you are saying even though quality of the game is way better this way you don't care and want the game to be less fun just for the sake of so called fairness which has nothing to do with the overall quality of the game in this case but only for your own ideology. Yeah no that is not how it works you sound very biased against devs and seem like taking a side on some kind of war.
How is the game better with DS being a 5-second stun? Have you not been paying attention to all the bullshit survivors have been doing with that perk? Getting into lockers, unhooking in the killer's face, bodyblocking, all because they know that killers can't afford a 5-second stun that they will get if they dare to touch that survivor.

I'm not sure that makes sense in this context, though.
You're a kid and I'm trying to hide your PS4 controller from you. There are several places I can put it. One of those places is under the TV next to the PS4. A place you're going to look at anyway, perhaps even before you think to look for the controller.
Is your search for the controller made easier or harder if I exclude that place from the list of spots I might hide it?
Easier, because there are fewer places.
I don't care how "out of sight" the hiding spots are. If there are 5 in total, given that only 5 totems spawn, then survivors know where 100% of the totems are. If there are 10, they know where 50% are. Is that clearer?
-
@BigBrainMegMain said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1341427#Comment_1341427
Then that's your fault, why are you chasing this ONE survivor?
Don't tell me you couldn't find anyone else in 60 seconds or that the unhooker is invisible.
Stop playing lazily and stop going for unhooked survivors.
Where have I heard this before... Oh, right, it's the same exact excuse that was given regarding infinites back in the day. "Why are you going after that player? Just chase someone else, bruh!"
Survivors should never, ever have the ability to place the killer in a situation where they're essentially forced to let them go.
-
@TAG said:
Have the devs ever said anything about why they didn't revert the change to DS when Enduring was changed to no longer affect DS stun?
Not as far as I can remember. I made a thread that was marked as "BHVR read" on the subject, telling them to nerf DS at the same time as Enduring, but that's the full extent of their acknowledgement of the issue AFAIK.
-
@aGoodOldRub said:
Btw I don't think any person in their right mind would like it to be reverted to 3 seconds. I don't see why you would want that unless you tunnel and camp. We all know sometimes we get hit by decisive just for making good and fast plays or survivors messing up but which is better making tunnelers and campers stronger and more annoying for the sake of some instances where you can't pick up people because of fast downs or the way it is now. It is the lesser evil.
Maybe I want it reverted to 3 seconds because it was buffed to 5 seconds due to Enduring in the first place. You know, I want some fairness in how survivors and killers get treated.
- DS was buffed because of Enduring. This was explicitly stated by the devs, the reason being that the 3-second stun was too short if the killer was using Enduring.
- Enduring was later nerfed. According to the devs, this was because it was difficult to balance perk-related stuns when they had to take into account Enduring every time. However, DS stayed the same. Tell me how that's fair or even logical.
The devs say they don't have favorites, but ######### like this erodes players' trust in that statement. At least the ones who are interested in fairness, that is...

Read the notes, 2.6.3 was also when enduring started impacting DS so there is correlation
There's also the fact that they literally said that's what they were doing.

Being able to counter hook camping at the exspense of 2 perk slots and a 3 second window seems pretty fair imo.
You can already counter hook camping at the expense of 0 perk slots and a 2-minute window. Survivors like you, who feel like they should be able to unhook in any situation no matter where the killer is or what the killer is doing, are why camping works in the first place.
-
What's with the trend of "make killer stuff only work on survivors who are already dead"?
Break the totems. It's that simple. I had three teams yesterday who prevented my NOED. Why can't you do the same?
-
@Star99er said:
I'll start
Slippery Meat:
*For each Safe unhook you gain a token up to a max of 3. For each token you have the speed at which you unhook yourself or another surivor is increased by 15%. Each time you are hooked you lose 1 token.
*When you successfully unhook another Survivor you gain the Endurance Status effect for 3 seconds.
😀
The first effect seems useless. If I read the wiki correctly, you unhook after 1,2 seconds, so even a 45% boost would just shorten it to about 800 ms. Not much difference.
The second effect seems too powerful. Combine that with BT and you get guaranteed safe unhooks for both parties.

I was just answering the question, which I presumed to be about real-life men.
-
Yes, that's why they buffed it. When Enduring was going to be nerfed, I told the devs to also nerf DS at the same time, for the sake of fairness. They may say they don't favor either side, but stuff like this makes me doubt it very much.

That's the consequence for getting grabbed.

First one looks like a douchebag with that pose, camo pants, boots, and the sun glasses. Second one looks like a clothing line model. Also, big muscles like that are quite unpleasant to the touch, trust me.

That wouldn't be OP, it would render the perk useless. Why would you want the killer to know where you are?

It's a scumbag thing to do. IDGAF how you justify it. It's cowardly to resort to these kinds of tactics. You won't change my mind.
My point is it's not comparable to a war crime in the slightest.

Pretending to feign weakness is a scumbag tactic. Why do you think it is a war crime to fake a surrender? It's one thing to fake out your opponent it's another thing to trick them into taking pity on you because of how MM is ######### right now and they don't want to be bullies.
Says I need to get a life, but then gets his kicks from taking advantage of the few nice players that exist in this game. CLASSIC.
Dude, it's a game. Is it a dick move? Sometimes, if the survivors take pity on the killer. More often than not, though, they take advantage and show how toxic they are. That said, it's nowhere near comparable to a war crime.

It should show them on the first down after the generators are done, regardless of DH active or not. However if they cleanse one of them, they will have no telltale which one they cleansed, until they can pay close attention to speedboost of NOED.
Based on my latest trial, I believe you're right. I had DH active throughout the trial, but it was destroyed during the EGC. They felt confident enough to teabag at the gate and one of them even came to a pallet I was near. She got hit with NOED. There's no way she would've done that if she knew she was exposed.

Actually how does that work if noed and dh are active does it warn them noed is active? Or after they destroy dh would it reveal noed?
I've no idea. I've never seen killers do what I do, but I have hit a survivor with NOED, MYC, and Rancor simultaneously. Pretty sure that uninstalls the game.EDIT: See comment below.

Lol mad? More like disappointed. I admit nothing so don't give yourself credit for no arguement. xD If that's what makes you feel like you are good by turning a suspenseful game into a lame one just to secure a kill or rank then maybe you should try something a little more basic.
When I'm in a match where a killer results to this its a immediate let down. I would rather dc than waste my time. A killer who is faster who chases people who cannot fight back stands there. Hahaha please
You must be so proud xD
I'm a rank 4 survivor main, buddy. I just think it's hilarious when survivors feed campers and then complain about camping. Well, as long as it's not in my trials. Then it's just annoying.
-
@supersonic853 said:
Wow dh? Everyone knows noed is the best perk in the meta rn (sarcasm i always play dh over noed personally lol).

@IcallBS said:
My phone is sucking right now. So I can't pull your name up but WHY DOES IT WORK THEN? Are you not getting what I'm spitting? It's a lame gameplay. Works because some survivors want to save the survivor struggling from a killer who gave up because they did poorly. Because that lame and tbh if you camp and tunnel cause you do bad and then say well it works... Makes me lmfao! Its a game. Next match new strategy. It kills the game to have so many bad players make it a babysitting game rather than a suspenseful game. Like it is supposed to be. I mean give me a break. If you result in this strat. You ruin the. bhaigame for others to benefit yourself. Thats pretty pathetic... Who goes to a movie to watch Michael or Jason stay with one survivor in the same place the whole move! Real blockbuster there!!! Lol
So it works because survivors refuse to counter it. Thanks for admitting that. And you're right, it's just a game, so why you have to be mad?
-
@IcallBS said:
If you play a bad match, why result in punishing someone else because of your poor gameplay. Camping because it tge only option you have? Then maybe work on different strategies. You can't win them all. Acting that desperate to me is just pathetic. There is no reward in the ranking system so who gives a crap tbh. The community just kills me with justifying poor gameplay. Who wants a boring match. I play for the jumpscares and adrenalin. But you can't get that much because of sad desperate killers...smh
Why does it work, though?
-
Because the devs are under no obligation to apply our feedback. They take it into account, but many think that just because we say something, the devs automatically have to do it. This is not the case.
-
If the killer hasn't downed anyone, open a gate. Once the gate is open, GTFO.

atm un-findable due to the horrible search system of the forum (or maybe even deleted thread/comment), the topic was the same: totems and generators (can't remember if that was the title, or the second topic), probably from 2019 (for sure not 2020), if there's a "dev" filter in the search it could be found pretty easily.
I don't think you read it correctly. If it's what I'm thinking of, it was Peanits who (rightly) said that the more areas you exclude, the easier it gets.
-
Because they're probably mixing it up with Deathbound, which does apply Oblivious.
-
@DrDeepwound said:
Because coding distance is difficult man it is 2020, this was a problem years ago and stil a problem. Hopefully coding language gets better over the next 10 years maybe by then?
The reality is that the more areas you exclude, the fewer areas totems can spawn in, which defeats the whole purpose of trying to hide them.
-
@YaiPa said:
as once a developer said, killer should be happy that totems can spawn near generators, otherwise survivors would instantly exclude those spot from their totem search, finding the totems much easier and faster.

Yup, that's called slugging. It's why Unbreakable exists. Next DLC will come with a perk that allows you to get up from the dying state endlessly if you're being affected by a hex perk. You also have No Mither.
