The issues with Gohstface
1. There's literally no reason to stalk with him. You lose more than you gain from stalking with him and his father's stalk is much better
2. It takes too long for him to get his Night Shroud back for a stealth killer, even with add ons.
I personally think he needs a brand new kit
What? The reworked addons are a ~huge~ buff. They literally took some of his old best addons, like his iri and his green recovery, and made them browns
Olsen's wallet is nuts. Drop-leg Knife sheath is nuts. Outdoor security camera is nuts. He even has exhaust addons! Nothing was worse than sneaking up on someone, marking them, and then they sprint burst away. Now you can be the one sprint bursting towards them instead!
Crazy that people think M1 ghostface is the way to go when Wraith exists. Stalking is 100% how to play him, and he's got the addons to do it so much better now
Huge, huge buffs were had

Also if the legion is using friendship bracelet the lunge is even longer good luck running it out or dodging lol
On the other hand yes, it is super nice to have impactful browns for once. All of the ghostface and legion reworked addons are fantastic. Where were these devs when they were making Sadako's addons?
-
I haven't been DCing, I just haven't been playing survivor much in the first place lol.
Of all the killers to buff, why did it have to be the mending simulator?
With some addons there is literally no way to avoid the hit. With Julies mix tape even if you drop a pallet on them they just instantly frenzy again. And then of course they are a killer which actively punishes you for your teams mistakes.
Total snoozefest, if I was gonna play survivor right now I would be spamming "The Game" to drown these legions in pallets and remind them why you don't play M1 killers.

Yep new account it’s what I thought. Killer mains don’t get anything it’s not like they nerfed Boil over in a week and just nerfed it again. They nerfed COH twice. M.O.M was nerfed in 3 months. DS was nerfed 5 times Exhaustion was nerfed. Toolboxes, Medkits and instaheals All nerfed. Keys and hatch nerfed.
But Noooo the killers are oppressed we get nothing it’s not like we have been getting nothing but buffs to weak as ######### killers and perks.
im not saying the changes are perfect or make a killer from F to S tier but it’s not true to say they only care about one side where they have been nerfed just like the rest
Yeah I gotta say all the baby killer main tears are pretty cringe. The game has never been easier for killers, other than old mori's or like 5 blink Nurse.
GF and Legion got massive buffs, CoH nerfs make it objectively worse than self-care, Haddo is now one of the most killer sided maps in DBD, and you still have people on here saying killer is not easy enough because they are getting beat by survivors who are probably significantly better than them.

Nurse possess the highest skill ceiling. You say "She's just muscle memory" yeah you know how long it takes to develop that muscle memory?
Clearly you don't play Sally or enough of her, because her skill isn't just muscle memory, it's reading and anticipating what survivors are going to do and adjusting your strat to get the survivor. But because survivor's don't have a way to consistently have the advantage over her she's busted.
Where as Blight, you just pinball into a wall and take advantage of your speed and hope you positioned yourself properly to get to the survivor.
Not even close. Nurse is limited by what the character can do. She has two blinks, and that's it. How is that the highest skill ceiling?
Many other killers can perform more actions in the same timeframe as those two blinks, requiring just as much precision and prediction

People just don't know the map yet, so far ive done great as survivor and had really long chases even without pallets, main building infinite needs to go though
Main building is literally a double basement. They learned nothing from old Thompson house.
I agree there are a few good vaults there, but nothing says the killer has to take those chases. And the top tier killers are going to hit you there no matter what anyways. Most M1 killers should probably be running bamboozle as it is since god windows are nothing new vs M1 killers. Even a killer with a modest amount of anti-loop (Demo, Pinhead, etc) is going to be able to shut down the houses pretty easily.
If those vaults didn't exist the map would have literally nothing. It already basically has nothing against someone like Pyramid Head, who needs to be given god pallets for any sort of chase extension if he is good.
The map is too small for immersion as well. Only a blendette is going to be able to hide on it, and even then if they need to cross the middle for whatever reason it's over. I will probably be putting floods of rage on when I offer it, for the map-wide wallhacks. Totally busted lol

It's actually not bad gen wise. On one hand, some of the gens are pretty naked. On the other hand, the gens are pretty predictable spawn wise (this is such a big deal it's not even funny) and there are some safe ones too. It sets up a neat little risk/reward - try to burn down the weak gens early or nail the safe ones and then play an attrition game.
I'm just saying, they have added in killers and addons that are strong enough to consistently 4k on "The Game" with 26 god pallets. And then they go in and add this map.
I guess I will enjoy my free wins when I offer it

The amount of dead space makes it a bit rough. Overall I think it's decently balanced though.
Against anti-loop killers the entire map is pretty much dead space lol, outside a few vaults that are not even that good without BL.
@StarLost said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/320848/haddo-is-killer-sided-now
From what I've seen thus far, it's an 'inside out' map. The edges are fairly strong, but the center is a deadzone.
That said...let's say it's killer sided.
Now we've got 2, maybe 3 killer sided maps out of a metric crapton.
Nothing says you really need to even go to those though. Many times the gens are just sitting out in the open, which is going to be easy pickings for any killer with mobility. I am sure a decent 3 gen strat on this map with certain killers is going to be insane.
-
@Zozzy said:
That's the kicker. They do a buff without buffing at the same time. They gave his rush lethality, but in exchange removed duration addons to make sure it is rare to pull it off and put the fault on the survivors for being dumb.
Said it when they announced it that it was just a qol update to make them feel better without actually making them better.
Mischief list is still a duration addon? And now it's a brown instead of a green? And I am sure the .5 seconds lost is made up for handily by the stacking speed boosts.
All the status effects being applied on first hit instead of second hit and beyond is a massive, massive buff

What you just described has been the killer meta for years now.
4 slowdowns, tunnel one dude out and pick a killer that can injure people quickly/end chases quickly.
Blight and the 4 horsemen of the gen apocolypse and just because Blight/Nurse "are hard/take skill...etc" doesn't mean it doesn't become easy after a while.
And contrary wise, you could argue playing survivor has only gotten harder by virtue of COH being nerfed even though before it was a thing survivors were still considered the stronger role when pushed to their 'peak' for lack of a better word.
Sure but the bar has been pushed way, way lower now. And at least the Ruin Pop meta required some input? The current slowdown meta is completely automated, and global.
I also would argue that old rank 1 (when it was pure Nurse/Billy in like 2018), you usually got really good teammates. Right now it's an utter crapshoot and in a game where a single weak link makes the entire team die by default the matchmaking is really ruining things.
There was a period between Nurse getting gutted and the tiles being spread out that DBD was at it's peak. I would take old instasaw billy meta over what we have now tbh. The game can practically play itself these days

Legion has to press M2 though
I mean it's about as easy as killer has ever been imo. You equip your 4 automatic gen perks, you get your completely free damage states, and then you tunnel someone to death starting at 5 gens and automatically win if they don't have DS. That's the state of DBD unfortunately.

Oh dear where to start? Ok so I know the concept of a prediction and nuanced pathing is lost on 90% of the dbd community but bear with me here. "LOS breaking" is your counterplay as survivor. Never give nurse free information on your position avoid vaults as much as possible. Distance is helpful but if your running in a straight line and not changing up your pathing you will die. Doubling back at specific intervals or taking left and rights as opposed to holding w. Eventually a nurse will win the prediction the number of chances she has to guess right is reasonable allowance for such. Dbd is a game with fast healing and an extremely fast pace. What the hell are you thinking nerfing a killer who actually competes with the best. The hardcore audience need more then one killer to play in the higher brackets.
If your running plaid flannel you lose access to a key addon that makes her gameplay tolerable. Anyone who plays base nurse religiously post nerf can tell you she is way more reliant on addons post changes. We need more killers in the upper brackets not less. Either suggest a fix for dbds core problems or leave the only two reliable comp top end killers alone.
I used to play a ton of nurse, and only played against nurse/billy way back in the olden days of rank 1 because those were the only killers who could compete with the legitimate infinites.
Your words are a waste on me. You won't change my opinion of her at all. Super braindead killer, and it was a joyous day when she got gutted. Casual play / Solo Q matters way more to me than "comp dbd" (it's a party game btw, DBD is about as "comp" as mario kart) because that's the experience 95% of the people playing this game have

Right, because Nurse players are robots who know where the survivor is 100% of the time, even after breaking LOS. You realize this type of Nurse player doesn’t exist, right? You mentality is incredibly toxic and ignorant.
Arrogant is much better description. And yes, you can 100% slap on wallhacks perks. Don't act like those don't exist. A brand new wallhacks perk just got added with Sadako

If you think Nurse is all about muscle memory, you don’t know what you’re talking about. She is all about map knowledge and making snap decisions.
- Blink close to survivor
- Blink closer to survivor again and hit them
Decisions, decisions, so many decisions
And as I said, with Plaid Flannel the only hard part about Nurse is basically removed. Which is knowing which objects are going to cuck your blink. Other than that she is easy street. Needs to be nerfed into the ground imo, again. That way all the people who need to rely on her for wins can get kicked down a peg and actually have to learn DBD
-
Oh yeah Legion was a snoozefest before, now you usually get slapped with 0 counterplay Broken + Mangled anytime they see you
And then I had one earlier with the gall to complain about dead hard being press E to win

Did you not read this thread? Nurse transversal has already been covered and documented as being slower than 4.6 without addons. Meaning in a straight line, without addons, she does not move faster than survivors. Meaning, Nurses do LOSE DISTANCE when they make mistakes.
If waiting several seconds every time you use your power isn't a punishment than either we're not playing the same game or you've literally never touched Nurse in your entire life.
Nurses don't lose distance if they make mistakes with range add-ons. And that's not even mentioning how they are just straight busted right now and give her extra blink speed on top of the extra range.
I gotta lol @ the nurses who think they are gods for playing her. Like really, she is not that hard. Get over yourself.
@Kiridus said:
Nurse requires, by far, the most mechanical skill in the game -- to claim she isn't "even that hard to play" is just proof that you never even bothered to play Nurse yourself. Nurse has already gotten every nerf she needed, ie you do not get to have 5 blinks and literally never miss a swing due to the amount of corrections you can make on a blink you ######### up, and she is fine as she is.
The fact OP went onto complain about how BHVR will penalize you for leaving your teammates to get ######### with one of their teammates missing, but won't do it if you do two things that pretty much make you lose as Killer unless you are extremely fortunate is just...icing on the cake, really.
That's Blight my guy. Nurse barely requires any skill once you get the muscle memory of the blinks down. Or you can use Plaid Flannel and not even need to do that.

forced penance wont help at the exit gates
Tbh trapper doesn't really want to play fair. Getting 12 hooks with traps? That's not happening unless the survivors are potato.
Typically with him you wanna do a 3 gen strat or a basement build. But don't overcommit to the basement perks, agitation is all you really need for it.
I was wiping the floor with this build earlier. The add-ons didn't help as much as you might think, but the map offering did. A few traps and your 3 gen is basically a deadzone.
All that matters after that is getting someone hooked near it and you are golden. Call of Brine lets him play a war of attrition pretty well and assuming you can get a few traps in you should have enough time to clear out pretty much everything near the 3 gen / basement.

Cenobite’s power is definitely a worse version of clowns bottle. His passive ability (the box) may be the best passive in the game.
That's bar impaling wire. Impaling wire Pinhead can be one of the most brutal chasing powers in the game if the survivor gets unlucky with the RNG. It can totally shift breaking the chains into his favor, as they spend time breaking a chain but finish by breaking it on the environment instead and it just respawns and hits them again.

Because the current meta allows for nothing else. Even the devs noticed. Just look at the last 4 killers perks. Every single one of them had a perk to slow gens down (some even several perks).
Playing without any gen slowdown perks will guarantee you getting barely 2 or 3 hooks before all gens are completed (unless you play against complete potatoes that spend the first 2 minutes hiding in the corner of the map). Using only 1 slowdown perk has almost no effect. So killers currently stack between 2 and 3 slowdown perks (ironically, the devs once said that they are against slowdown perks stacking and that killers shouldn´t feel forced to take them).
Killers have grown really desperate and i don´t really blame them for camping or tunneling the first survivor they see (even if i am that one).
The people that claim how streamers can get their 3k without any (slowdown) perks should take a look at how many hooks the streamers get before the gates are powered. Even Otz has matches where he only gets 4 hooks in exchange for 5 gens. So why do they still get kills? Because survivors get cocky when they are still on their first hook and all gens are completed. Since there is no "real" risk. Which sometimes backfires.
And thus, day by day, I slowly become closer to a Blight main
-
@Tsulan said:
Fun fact: in the time between the Undying release and its nerf, there were (almost) no camping or tunneling threads. Simply because any killer that wanted to get some juice out of the Undying Ruin combo, simply couldn´t afford to focus on a single survivor. Instead they had to spread damage and constantly switch targets.
Now on top of that, CoH completely killed off hit&run. Which forces killers to secure a down/kill.
Fascinating how that backfired. Isn´t it?
I just don't see what else you are supposed to do tbh. Most of my games I am losing 1-2 gens for a borderline perfect chase; and that's with Corrupt.
I spawn in, walk across the map, find someone, chainsaw them in the first sweep, and boom the first gens are still popping as I hook them. A mistake or two during the first chase I would probably lose 3. Pop goes the weasel has been utterly worthless lately on low mobility killers.
Especially on a 110 killer, where do you go from losing 2 gens for your first hook? You could walk across the map, find a hold W + predrop gamer, and lose the next few gens before you are even really caught up to them.
The only killers I really feel comfortable target swapping on are Nurse and Blight; who can be dropping people in the first 15 seconds of the game. Everyone else is too slow and downs take too long even when you execute them almost flawlessly.

Keys used in this way are slept on a lot. I'd say it's almost overkill to have Built To Last on, but it depends on how much you're going to use the key. If you just limit use to chases the game should be over by the time the key+Streetwise runs out.
Prolly better to just use alert instead of streetwise imo. If you are getting chased enough you need all that key you are gonna be dropping a good amount of pallets, and alert you don't have to slow down to use.

I agree with the other 2 killers being stronger. My point only was that Sadako being "dumpster tier" isn't part of the reason the player base is dropping. If she was less fun to play as, and a lot stronger the playerbase still would've dropped by the same amount.
Potentially. In the past when they released a new killer the Q times were backed up as killer for days. Deathslinger I remember it was solid weeks of increased killer Q times. The last few releases still had instant killer Q times.
MMR is really the only thing I can think of that would be hurting the game so much. DBD as an E-sport is stupid, and promotes an extremely unfun / cheesy playstyle on both sides.
And the worst part is that even after all this time it still barely works. I never thought I would say I wanted old ranks back but I would take them over MMR any day. It wasn't the best but at least the matches were somewhat consistent. Right now I can have full meta SWF gods one game, and then get babies who literally die because they forgot to drop off their Sadako tape the next.

I got to disagree. She definitely isn't strong but she's definitely played more than Artist and Pinhead. Especially on launch day.
I feel the other issues in the game are the main problem and the release of Elden Ring didn't help either.
Artist and Pinhead are significantly stronger. Artist I think people don't like her Aesthetics (funnily enough). Her sound effects are pretty cringe and the power isn't all that satisfying to use.
Pinhead requires such a level of mechanical skill to play well I assume most people who would be really good at him just play Nurse instead. They are extremely similar, except Nurse gets damage states for landing the shot. Pinhead gets a clown bottle, if RNG favors him and the chains don't break instantly.
Sadako is played because the power is fun and the character is really cool and fitting for the game. But that doesn't mean she's not super weak and frustrating to play. I think once the newness of the chapter wanes her pick rate will fall off the planet.

Only on open strong pallets. Add walls and you can easily surprise survivors. Dowsey has clearly shown what is and isnt possible on a lot of maps.
As for Otz not enjoying her, so what? Otz also didnt enjoy playing Nurse, Bubba, Huntress, Doctor, Freddy, Myers. Otz really enjoys Nemesis, Pyramid Head, Trapper and Plague. Let alone that Otz also doesnt really enjoy Oni compared to Hag or Pinhead. Dowsey really enjoys Sadako. Is that a good argument? I wouldnt say so.
As for the mobility being taken away, not really. For survivors to actively take mobility away is survivors either having the upperhand or Sadako not pressuring the right sides. If you have 0 mobility on the map, you have survivors not doing gens, if survivors are not doing gens, that's free time to dedicate to breaking pallets/walls that need removing or even extra time you can dedicate to a chase if need be. Her strength is lack of visibility mid-chase, and you cant tell the difference between Sadako using her power or her breaking a pallet untill its too late to turn back. Let alone that you can pick survivors up without being blinded as survivors never get the timing right on the animation.
And I agree with many others that her speedboost after teleporting should be made basekit, as it's quite important, but the biggest mistake I have seen Sadako players make is not using teleports often enough. How often do survivors feel the need to even grab a tape in games you play against her? Not often, because Sadako isnt teleporting often.
You can take a tape out from a TV next to a gen, do the entire gen, and then go drop the tape off and suffer essentially 0 consequence for doing it.
Survivors with headphones are never going to be cut off by a Sadako teleporting in front of them. You can hear it a mile away, and attentive players will realize you have teleported.
A genrush SWF is gonna slam out the gens in like 4-5 minutes. Some of them don't even loop, cause they don't have to. They send you to a very survivor sided map and just predrop everything. Tell me what Sadako does against those types of teams? Besides dodge the lobby?
-
I been running this one where I can. Throw gen defense to the passive winds and just tunnel people into the ground with compound 33. NOED if somehow they ever actually make it to the endgame on the most killer sided map in DBD.
-
Nemesis, Pinhead, Pyramidhead should be way more evil imo. All of them always tunnel
The doctors I see are usually pretty toxic too

Seeing what good players do with Sadako compared to what they can do with killers like Myers, Trapper and Clown without too much effort, pretty much is a huge counterclaim to her being dumpster tier.
She's heavily reliant on being the better mindgamer, which is actually refreshing, where other killers like Blight and Nurse often are brute force killers where survivors have to mindgame hard.
As for your points:
the grind (which they created); technically yes, but at the time of creation, DBD didnt have the expectation it has now. Fixing it isnt that simple, takes time and resources. Should they have looked in it earlier? Yeah, definitely, Pyramid Head was the last killer where it was somewhat fine, it should have been looked at from that moment. But before that? Not really that big of a grind.
tunneling meta (which they created); Nope, killers created it, you might claim there has been a lack of interest in fixing this meta, as perks arent really fixes, but BT and DS did have a big impact on that meta for a while.
half of killers being awful (which they created); Not all killers can be S-tier, half the killers arent awful, they simply are not gonna be capable of facing S-tier survivors. If all killers were equally good, then all survivors you face should be equally capable of countering those killers. Thats not really the case. The healthiest balance is a bell-curve. The current balance is close to a bell-curve. It's not neccesarily the killers being awful, its survivors you face being too good for the killer you're playing.
toxicity (which they created); You cannot create toxicity
MMR(which they created); Yeah, but its being worked on.
Meta being the same for five years(which they created); Objectively wrong, because there was a camping meta, a tunneling meta, a chasing meta and a genpatrol meta. That's just the killer side. Then there was a long loop meta, short loop meta, healing meta, genrush meta and even a flashlight meta. The meta has switched a lot, it just bounces between a tunnel meta and a gen regression meta right now depending on whether there are killers who can tunnel hard or not(if killers get nerfed, its often due to their massive power to tunnel).
lack of variety (which they created); There is a huge amount of variety, but that variety wont be used in higher MMR, even if all current meta perks are nerfed. Thing is, once there is a "best build" for a certain killer, that build will practically be static and only really vary with different addons. Same would be for a best build for solo surv, or a best build for SWF. There might be slight variance between certain combinations, but there is always going to be a list of 24 perks(out of 100) that would practically cover all possible strong combinations.
So out of all your points, 1 is fully legit, but being worked on, 1 that is semi-legit, but only because the game lived to be 5 years in the first place, the rest is what the players have created with the tools that the devs have given. Are those tools perfect? No, but thats more because the players are like toddlers. They run around with scissors, stabbing hundreds of people while laughing their asses off only to be stabbed by another toddler with scissors and then crying that that one toddler shouldnt be running with scissors.
Her counterplay is the same counterplay as literally every other M1 killer. Throw a pallet and she can't get you. Flicker mindgames only work if survivors let them work. Otz was winning as her, but he didn't seem to particularly enjoy it. Her only real strength, mobility, can be taken away by survivors as well.

That addon does so much it's incredible
Yeah you just slam into the pallets and they are gone. It's nuts and honestly I never really used it much until recently. Now I am an addict.
With adrenaline vial your power is ready again by the time the pallet is done breaking too, so you just instantly rush afterwards. Blight is tons of effort to play but those addons are a really nice reward for spending a lot of time learning him

As someone who mainly plays M1 killers I also don't mind the map as much, it's weird
I think part of it is to do with the limited number of windows and the amount of mindgameable or 50/50 type pallets. Those kind of interactions I enjoy. It's also a compact map, it's not like rotten fields where you m1 a guy and he disappears into the corn never to be seen again
The god pallets do suck and the CCTV room/Double basement pallets in particular belong in a circle of hell somewhere but
I can't say I hate the map? It def should be changed, but Idk I like it
Now whenever I see Fractured Cowshed, then I get upset.
C33 Adrenaline Vial Blight was actually enough to break one of those basement pallets, and catch all the way back up and down the survivor before they could make it to the second one. I don't think I had ever actually played that combo on that map before but it was something that happened during the match which surprised me

Usually I do Sadako and Clown though. Sometimes Myers; Ghostface I am waiting for his buffs.

Which is the maps core issue some killers who ignore pallets or shred them fast don’t care because they can deal with them so effectively. But, if you’re Pig, Trapper, or Myers god bless
Yeah pretty much. The gap between M1 killers and top tier killers is huge. The gap between M1 killers and top tier killers running a meta build and the best addons is just like an entirely different game.
That match ended up being so sweaty I had to put DBD down for the night, which is why I am on the forums now lol.
4 meta survivors, 3 styptics + syringes, and a meat plant offering. Ended up barely winning by tunneling the first guy to death through like 5 bodyblocks, a pallet save, BT, DS, 15 god pallets, and two syringes.

I play a fair amount of M1 killers so I hate that map with a passion.
Although I gave into the dark side and was playing some Adrenaline Vial + Compound 33 Blight earlier and got sent to it by a SWF.
In that case it makes 100% sense to have that many pallets on a map since he can nuke them and recover so fast even on The Game you can't make it to the next pallet sometimes.

I started doing it because people taunted me that I wasn't good enough to get all four, course that was in 2018, so it was early in my "career".
The only time someone gets out is if they deserve it.
You do it every game? My experience has been that SWFs will just DC for it if they want it that bad. Then the other 3 will have already left the chat and the one guy who got the hatch will give you the gg ez
I personally don't mind it at all though. 3k is a win to me, 4k is just RNG unless you wanna waste lots of time every match or have Whispers. I have No Way Out lots of the time which basically means finding hatch is a 4k every time

Waste of time for the most part. Reserved for toxic lobbies

I appreciate it because I actually did take a break, but the issue is that the problem I addressed is relevant.
Took a break because I was tired of always sweating every game and getting slapped in the face and now that I've returned for a bit, BOOM I see the reasons why I left for a bit. It feels like I have to run a full sweaty meta build every game just to have a chance to have fun, but I don't want to do that. I don't want to run DH every game, I don't want to play nurse or Blight every game, etc etc etc. (hence why I mentioned the war in OP)
Neither side is fun rn which is why I went to OW for a while.
To be fair, Blight is one of the most fun characters. Nurse I find pretty resident sleeper but I can play Blight a ton. The fact he is one of the best characters in the game and has SWF destroyer add-ons just makes it all the sweeter.
The matches are ultra-sweat sometimes though. Especially against a 4 stack running the best perks and items survivors can bring, with a map offering on top of it.
I remember a dev specifically saying at one point "A red rank match isn't supposed to be relaxing"

Bubba, hands down

I don't care that X streamer went on however long a win streak. We know those to be outliers, and they're only possible because of skewed matchmaking. 1 decent team and the whole streak goes. It's easy to go on win streaks with weak killers against bad survivors. A better indication of how powerful Clown is would be for you to get to high MMR with Clown and try to win. You won't find much success. Clown with Pinky Finger is decent. Clown without it is nothing.
If you think after going on a 100+ streak you are not high MMR, idk what to tell you. From what datamining has shown, you can be there after around 20 wins.
It's also nuts to say that you can win 100 games, and lose 1 game, and then hold that 1 game up and say a character is not viable. What about the other 100 games? Did those just not happen?
I win the overwhelming majority of my killer games, with all characters.
Do you think I would be farming this level of salt if I was bad at the game? I don't think so. Obviously I enjoy my basement Bubba, but you can 100% tunnel people to death with clown and he's really good at it. If you try for 12 hooks sure, he is bad.

They're not viable. If they were, you'd see them in tournament and at high MMR. That's like Almo saying "Clown isn't weak. They just haven't found his full potential yet." Weak stuff is used by casuals and people doing YouTube videos to show off an add-on the people never knew existed. It's never used competitively because it's a death sentence. Why would I want to use Myers' brown add-ons instead of infinite Tier 3 plus a stalking add-on, which can't even beat good teams?
Clown isn't that weak. He just needs good add-ons, a good build, and a good strategy and he is a monster. Pro vengeance went on a 108 winstreak with clown at the height of MMR. A 100+ winstreak speaks for itself

It's dumb. I got a meta pyramid head my first survivor game. Then I got OhTofu. Then a meta spirit with the best addons. Then a sub level 10 billy. And those were my survivor games last night.

I’m genuinely surprised if you never get any lobby or loading screen dodgers doing last second switching. I’ve had killers DC mid-loading screen for last second firecracker switching! Firecrackers!
Well like I said, there's some characters who it is extremely hard to see the items on still. So much so that even your own team won't know you have the key until it's too late.
I would say that + Sprint burst means I make to the last survivor a ton of the time. Sprint burst is such a huge deterrent to being chased as opposed to say dead hard. If the killer wants to chase me, and I saw them early, first they gotta hold W for a year and it will be very costly if my team is still alive.
I have made it to 15+ escape streaks solo using a key which I think is pretty impressive given the state of MMR. You are never, ever, doing that with any other item

Just curious, if you’re willing to share: do you reveal your key beforehand, or last second switch? How often are you dodged by teammates and killers? I feel a key is a red flag to both sides even post-nerf, but probably more-so for survivor because of what they mean now (‘I must be the last remaining survivor in the trial if I want to use my item for its primary purpose’).
I almost exclusively run a hatch offering and key strat myself in DbD Mobile solo queue. Killers can’t switch their load out after queuing (nor can the survivors). Additionally, the hatch and key nerfs aren’t live on there yet. But I will probably continue to do this even after they come, as you can get some real potatoes on that platform. The matchmaking is wonky.
6s swap, I do that with all items. Usually from a firecracker so the animation is more subtle. So never dodged by killer or teammates. Alot of the time the killer does not slug for the 4k and it's a nice escape plan. You hit the ruin undying tinkerer blights / nurses and such with solo Q and there's usually no chance, so I am not usually bringing in builds that even pretend there is unless I am memeing or don't care about dying that day.
There are also a few characters left who it is extremely hard to see the key on, so naturally I play them too.
Even if it didn't reveal hatch, the wallhacks addons are still both extremely useful. Blood amber is still super strong, both in loops and outside of loops.

All the existing aura reading add-ons are beneficial, even to SWF. But that’s not usually a good enough reason to bring a key since the hatch and key nerfs. I wouldn’t mind if they replaced Gold Token with the WoO effect, and upped the radius of Eroded Token to 36m.
They are definitely still useful. All too often I find myself as the last survivor alive and keys are way more reliable than camping a door with wake up.
Solo Q teams fall apart pretty easily and it's very nice to have a plan B with left behind.
