Interesting. Most Fengs I encounter are ok. Its the Neas, Steves, and P3 Claudettes that are toxic.
Eh,P3 claudettes are always either toxic tryhards or really immersed players.
-
Well,i only really try to track blood stains if i don't see scratch marks anymore.
It also really depends on the map.Blood stains are quite easy to track on indoor maps but almost impossible on maps with a lot of grass like the swamps for example.

Peanits said in a post reply a few weeks ago that there are no plans for cross-platform chat.
That's unfortunately true.
I miss the salt and i hate that i can't compliment players if they did really well :'(
-
I mean,i love using Dead hard,Bond,Kindred and WGLF.This kind of build just feels much more consistent and gets me more points than the other super meta builds.
Whenever i use all these second chance perks it feels like i'm almost never able to use them.
-
I really don't think that the upcoming update will fix the optimization problems of this game.
I guess we can call it an improvement if the perfomance won't get worser with this patch
-
I agree that his perks and addons are pretty trash but his power is really decent honestly.
It just needs quite a bit of time until you really know where to use your portals and how to use your shred.
Also,he's one of the most fair and fun killer that are still strong out there in my opinion.
Overall a good designed killer (power and visual wise)

The ones that increase duration also increase recovery speed and the numbers are higher then the recovery add ons she has already
Where did you get that?
I thought the duration addons only passively affected the recovery,meaning that recovering 2 seconds from your power is faster when using duration addons because you use less of your power
-
@RizeAki said:
I don’t think you truly understand the problem a good spirit won’t use the whole gauge you use 2 seconds of it to gain distance and within 2 seconds more it’s back again also I’m pretty sure it’s well known you can’t out loop or gain distance against her and this coming from someone who plays her quite a lot I’ve even leveled her to max
Anyone reliable will agree the only real changes she needs isn’t a nerf but a qol change give her an audio and visual que within terror radius of when she goes into phase so players do still have to guess just up to a point if that makes sense Oh and fix her bugged add ons that can add a lot more strength to her
Bugged Addons?
-
Because Optimization in this game is absolutely atrocious
-
Honestly,i see 0 difference.
Most of them play really bad but that's nothing new on red ranks,right?

If I see the word 'Toxic' in the player's name, because experience has taught me they're letting you know how they like to play.
Also if the lobby seems like a coordinated SWF: One map, one toolbox, one flashlight, one med-kit (or variations on this). Sometimes I take the game anyway, but I usually just get rolled and feel like I wasted my time.
99% of the players i've seen with "toxic" in their names play absolutely horrible

@cyniChris said:
Absolutely. As killer, auto-aim does more harm than good, in my experience.
I've lost count of the amount of times I've chased a survivor who heads for an unhook, taken a swing at them, and either hit the person on the hook, or hit through both survivors and hit the hook itself, despite me aiming directly at the one unhooking.
And then there's the times where lunges get cancelled during a straight line chase for no reason. "Going for a lunge? Nope - tiny swing instead. Survivor gets away. Screw you for playing well, killer."
Also, as Oni, almost every time I hit a Demon Strike, I end up doing a complete 180 for no reason. This is a relatively new bug, as far as I'm aware.
Most games with auto-aim have options to turn it off. DBD should be no exception.
Problem is,auto aim atleast gives you hits you shouldn't get but aim dressing just robs your hits that should have landed.

exhaustion addons are the only counterplay to exhaustion perks, there should be more of them and every killer should have acces to them
Please no,
exhaustion is the second strongest status effect a survivor can suffer from.
Applying exhaustion with those kind of addons is way to easy.
Just look at Clown,only throw a bottle near a survivor and you denied them one of their perks.

@dugman said:
There might be an issue with that when it’s combined with Unnerving Presence which is a popular perk combo. You’d have skill checks being insanely small when both are in play. Here are a couple of alternate ideas:
- In addition to reduced sound cues, speed up the dial by a random amount with the amount it can speed up increasing based on the number of tokens. So maybe it can go up to 10-20% per token up to 50-100% faster with five tokens. I think varying the tempo increase of the dial will make it more difficult to properly time than a flat increase.
- Or, instead of buffing the effect, make it just not be a Hex at all. Make it like BBQ and Chili or Dying Light, etc, where it gets one token every time you hook either a different survivor or hook someone who isn’t the Obsession and when its at max tokens there is no sound cue. As an effect that can’t be eliminated by destroying a totem it might be reasonable.
Actually not.It would still be quite a niche/meme kind of combo that is completely useless if your totem gets cleansed.
Just look at Ruin + Surveillance.That's a waaaaaay much stronger combo.
Also,making it a non Hex Perk would be too strong

Because you don't understand.
It's 15k yes. It's not a million.
Dο not advertise "the best to the best", the "highest level" and bs like that then.
The level was low and laughable. Scummy/boosted plays and builds. You don't need camp and tunneling NOED Spirits and Hags to win.
Only Otz and Ayrun showed high stantards.
This first tournament round felt rather like a preliminary round.
Now that the worser teams are out next week should be much more interesting

He swings the f*cking sword underhanded instead of overhand and it just doesn't feel right. It always felt like he was lacking a certain oomph when he hit someone, if that makes sense.
He swings the sword overhand in final judgment though, and that feels WAY more impactful to me.
The change was likely because of hitboxes and wind up but I wish they went with it, would have made him stand out just a little more from his peers.
BHVR pls fix hes unplayable without the big boi smack.
Would have loved to see that overhead swing for breaking pallets and walls too

The plague game was one of the funniest games i've ever seen in a tournament
First that super weird killer decision (Why would you EVER play plague in a tournament????)
Then the build (Noed and Spirit Fury,why?)
She managed to fall into hole on grim pantry
And got one kill with noed at the exit gates.
That was pure comedy gold 😂

it is in a good state vs decent solo survivors, very good solo survivors can wreck you and then you have swf...
what i hate the most though is that every survivor runs the same perks all over again and so do killers because devs are scared like ######### to make a decent perk without 10 negatives like most of the kill perks are
also i dont understand their brain when designing add-ons
and also im scared when i hear that some devs believe clown is an S tier killer
I agree,that we really are in need of major perk changes to shift this meta that has been sooo stale for years.
Yeah,so many killers have absolutely terrible addons it's pretty sad :/
-
Clowns chase power is really really good,there's just a lot you have to take into consideration when playing clown.
-You need to know how to aim your bottles
-Know where survivors will run off to next so you can use a bottle to cut that path off
-How to use your bottles in loops to guarantee a hit with it.
It definetely takes quite some time to master these things and get more value out of him.
-
@Blueberry said:
He wastes more time getting a good survivor tormented than he saves not picking up and hooking them.
If anything I'd buff it.
Well,it's relatively easy to torment survivors.
If they try to loop a tile,just use a bit of your trail in the loop.They either leave the loop and get hit or get tormented.
-
@Zeus said:
He isn't a strong killer in anyway. It's survivors trying to counter him like how they counter every other killer. You need to be creative and judge distance correctly to counter him. Know where he is weak at and use it to your advantage.
PH was always a pretty strong killer
Just his Punishment of the Damned gives him a really strong anti looping tool that most survivors struggle to deal with.
Also his cages are very strong to maintain your momentum or to get a survivor out of the game very very quickly if you know how.

i mean, look at what a ######### state the game is for the killer, there are some many simple changes that could have been done to make it good but they just wont do it no matter what
Believe it or not,but the game is overall in a pretty good state balance wise.
I agree,that the devs are frustratingly slow when it comes to simple buffs or nerfs (trapper getting 2 traps at base is a perfect example) but that's just the way they are.

well its not really because of the ruin change but because of devs showed killer mains that they dont care about them and how mindless they are by nerfing a perk that literary made the game playable and last longer than 5 minutes
Ähm,did you forget that they actually fixed almost all maps and their infinites soon after the ruin change?
They do care about the balance of this game.
The devs are just really slow regarding balance and some of their decisions are a bit of a hit or miss.
But the ruin change wasn't really that bad,it just needs planning on the killers end on how to use it the best.

I get your point, but honestly, is the Clown, who's arguably one of the weakest killers in the entire games addons really an issue?
What's the absolute worst case scenario? One of the weakest killers in the game temporarily shuts off one of the survivors 4 second chance perks?
It doesn't matter whether he is super weak or strong.
Exhaustion is the second strongest status effect in the game.It should be harder to apply it than all the other status effects.
Also,not all survivors run with 4 second chance perks all the time.

What about:
Overcharge + Distressing + Unnerving Presence + Hex: Huntress Lullaby
I've tried that build minus Overcharge and it has the potential to wreck face if they dont find the hex totem. OC would make it even more obnoxious lol.
Unnerving Presence is completely useless on Freddy since it only work with the terror radius.
As soon as survivor fall asleep UP does nothing.
-
@Blueberry said:
Exhaustion perks basically went from completely busted op to just normal busted.
Not only do Exhaustion addons not need to be changed but I'd even argue there should be more Exhaustion addons for other killers or the Exhaustion perks need further tuning down.
Current Exhaustion perks are literally a second chance every 40 seconds for zero cost, downside, requirement, nothing. There's literally no reason you wouldn't always run an Exhaustion perk if you're trying to win.
The devs said they want perks to have some variation of cost, skill requirement etc.
I would say at least change the Clown addon so that you have to hit a direct bottle to apply the exhaustion effect and bump those kind of addons to green or purple rarity

The main problem is when they use it when sloppy butcher is in play. Which is most games nowadays. It's astounding how many players do that in red ranks. They're better off just throwing on Leader and getting on a gen. Or better, using dead hard which is basically a free health state.

The other day I watched multiple teammates Self Care through Sloppy, Dying Light and Thana against a Legion. This is what too much Self Care does to people’s brains.
The real problem is that most people with self care don't have the game sense to know when to use it and when not.
Same with 99% people that just waste their dead hard and sometimes sprint burst too.

Then i really wouldn't recommend using that perk.
Always choose the perks that support your play style the best.

@Suvakita said:
I've been thinking in using this perk but I always change my mind. Does this perk really makes a difference? Do I need to use with ironwill ?
Quite a few action (repairing a gen,healing,opening an exit gate etc.) get a small speed boost from this perk,but it's only really useful if you feel confident enough to stay injured most of the time.

Not quite zero difference. No time spent finding each other, then going your seperate ways afterward to your goals. For a single heal, SC is more efficient. This does not mean it's always the best play to burn 32 sec to heal. But it's certainly not always the worst play, either.
You're right.Totally forgot about that.
You just have to know when to use it and when not.
-
@The_Krapper said:

The difference is with bond you can go bang out a gen before you heal, be productive, avoid sandbagging, and determine if someone is in a chase , with self-care you spend time getting away and then healing in more than likely an unsafe area, you're not doing an objective, it takes a longer time, if the killer has nurses you're a immediate target because they know you prefer staying healed and need that extra hit in a chase they will 100% take advantage of you having that perk if they know you're using it by smacking you just so you'll hide and waste time without being productive
It's a very big difference my friend
Killers,will always take a free hit.Doesn't matter if you have SC or not.
SC is a decent perk,but it requires game sense to know when to use use it and when not but most people playing with SC lack that kind of game sense.
It's like saying Dead Hard is bad because 99% of people using that perk waste it and just die.
-
@Kikki said:
I mean I used it too a while ago but yet, I learned to play without and I don't miss it. I mean okay you can heal yourself but it takes much more time. I don't want to dictate what should you play and what not but instead of SC why not using bond for heal's?.
I don't play with self care but i would say that healing with bond is pretty much the same like self caring since you waste 16 seconds of your time and the survivor who is healing you.
Zero difference.

Before this starts I just wanna say that I recognize this is all subjective, feel free to call me out for being an idiot if you want, though I think you already know that.
Power
Boring as all hell, if you don't have a pallet or vault near you your kinda boned. In a chase hes boring because hes either nigh impossible to loop in frenzy, or hes just another m1 killer. The status he applies is just "Heal more" and he has nothing else.
Perks
Discordance is alright, Mad Grit is Mad Grit, Iron Maiden has its niche uses but isn't very good. Overall the only that can be fully considered good is Discordance.
Lore
Its not necessarily terrible, but it just doesn't hold up against characters like Blight or Ghost Face. Its basically if edgy teenagers actually killed someone.
Cosmetics
I alright I can't ######### about this one, they have amazing cosmetics.
Handled
They got ######### gutted from the ptb, its actually kinda sad. Kinda like MoM but for an entire killer.
Overall
Legion perfectly encapsulates most of the games major problems while bringing some unique problems as well. Devs made an unfun and boring power and were fast to destroy it, they made one good perk and some filler spots. The lore somehow managed to suck too, which is a shame cause normally the devs are amazing with that. Legion could be a cool killer, but theres so much wrong with them it hurts to think about.
Yeah,his power feels really bland in comparison to all the other killer powers.
I'm still confused and frustrated that the other legion members aren't part of the power concept but were rather a new way to sell cosmetics :(

Those kill rate statistics are a nearly a year old at this point and are no longer representative of the game as win rates do naturally go up and down over time based off of how much people have experienced these games.
Also if the devs took those into consideration then The Nurse would have been buffed a long time due to having an overall lower kill rate then THE CLOWN.
It's to be expected because of how hard and different the nurse is from all the other killers.I'm just stating that killers currently do just fine.
To gather more info if it's really really necessary to do something about that we have to wait for the improved MMR system to come back.
-

I know but it doesn't stop the fact that these perks make it incredibly difficult for the developers to balance out gen times as if they balance them around these perks those who aren't running these perks get their games ruined due to the generator progress for them being slowed too much.
However if they don't balance around these perks it gives those who have them a significant generator progress advantage over the killer.
There are more important things the devs are supposed to do as opposed to just changing gens time.
-Buffing certain killer
-More Map balance (size,amount,strength and distance between each looop)
-Adding something for the early game (Is confirmed to be added soon)
-Balancing SWF and solo queue
And if you look at the last kill statistics you will see that killers are performing really well.Even before all those map changes.
Killers are,except a few,in a really good spot now.
