Spirit why want nerf

I often read that survivors want nerf.. I wonder how one can be angry with a killer who is already penalized, by speed for example...

The power work 5 seconds, by default, it recharges in 15 seconds What do you want to shorten, the 5 seconds ? Increase the cooling time from 15 to 30 seconds ?

"Spine chill" can counter the power, what more do you want ? Tell us what you want to change..

Talent is not for everyone, if you change a killer you penalize most of killers who don't know how to play (more camp, more tunnel..)... 🤗

  • I don’t think you truly understand the problem a good spirit won’t use the whole gauge you use 2 seconds of it to gain distance and within 2 seconds more it’s back again also I’m pretty sure it’s well known you can’t out loop or gain distance against her and this coming from someone who plays her quite a lot I’ve even leveled her to max

Anyone reliable will agree the only real changes she needs isn’t a nerf but a qol change give her an audio and visual que within terror radius of when she goes into phase so players do still have to guess just up to a point if that makes sense Oh and fix her bugged add ons that can add a lot more strength to her

    Bugged Addons?

  • If you didn't notice, the two best killers (Spirit and Nurse) have lowered speed. Why? Because they have other things going for them, it's not a penalization.

Even though the power lasts 5 seconds, you still can traverse a huge distance using it very quickly.

Neither Spine chill NOR Iron will will help you if the spirit has stridor. It's a guessing game where the spirit has 90% of winning. The only thing you need is a perk and an okay headset. And bam, easy 4K every time.

It's nurse that requires skill and talent. Not spirit.

  • The ones that increase duration also increase recovery speed and the numbers are higher then the recovery add ons she has already

I dont want a nerf, i want an explication why most players want a nerf..🤔

I have just understood that Spine chill can become an advantage for the killer... by using Spine chill during the power phase, looking at the survivor while moving towards him from the back, as if he thought we hadn't moved, as if we had never moved... interesting

When you ask for the nerve, knowing that speed is less efficient for me it is a penalty (I'm talking about the future, not the present). If you don't have a nerve, it's not a penalty. I'm still waiting to find out why people wanted to nerve the Spirit ?

    Where did you get that?

I thought the duration addons only passively affected the recovery, meaning that recovering 2 seconds from your power is faster when using duration addons because you use less of your power

Otzdarva and others have done testing and proven that’s how they work you can really see this with her best add on combo where you can traverse the map with ease and have basically no downtime

Because she requires very little skill to easily win and get 4 kills every time and with stridor she has none, absolutely ZERO counterplay. That is why.

Oh that’s easy besides the points I made above the reason they want one for spirit, deathslinger, and pyramid head is they play differently to most killers so you can’t circle loop them you have to be smarter and a lot don’t like that because they think all killers need the same counterplay and won’t accept the fact that’s not true these killers that shake up the meta are exactly what we need to make the game not stale and boring

    I can't understand all 🤣

But for me she dont need nerf, or change. That was the purpose of the topic, why some people wanted a nerf (a "nerf")...

They're never happy for all killers anyway.😀

  • So you want us to tell you what problems we have with Spirit? Do you promise with sugar on top that you won't shoot down everything I say just because you personally don't mind playing against Spirit? Alright SO...

Spirit is not overpowered, she is simply too ridiculously strong in a chase, offering 0 interaction or any meaningful counterplay that isn't "guessing and running to random locations and hope she isn't there whilst phasing". The main thing a survivor wants to do in this game is be in a chase and have that interaction but spirit doesn't allow that, so at that point is there even a reason to play the match out when the killer is so miserable and brain-dead to go against, and none of the skill you've built up even matters?

A good change would be to have her move grass while she's phasing, giving the survivor some kind of indicator as to where she is, so they can actually make a meaningful decision. I don't care if it goes against spirit's design, it's still a bad design from a PvP perspective and needs changing, even something as small a change as this would be enough. Playing AS Spirit would also be more engaging, because now you could make the choice of taking a longer route to the survivor and avoiding the grass etc. It wouldn't fix everything but it would definitely be a good start, and I think a lot of survivors wouldn't be as annoyed if they made a change as small as this.

And I also don't understand the whole "survivors can't run in a circle that's why they don't like spirit and Deathslinger". Like where are you even coming from with this? I sure as hell don't play against a Billy the same way I play against a Nurse, Huntress, Demo and I and many other people love all these killers. And anyone with a brain wouldn't call these killers weak.

  • Face a decent Spirit and don't run Iron Will. Especially if she has Strider then your not going to last 30 seconds in any chase.

  • A "phasing" animation is all that required. It doesn't change the mechanics of the Killer at all. Just remove the mind game from her power.

So behaviour made the same mistake they did when they made old nurses distance add ons?

Yeah yeah yeah it’s the exact same thing pretty much

  • So, basically, you want to break the only interest of the Spirit (Spirit we don't talk about physics, the grass should not move logically, it's a surprise killer..)... Ok I didn't say anything

All stealth killers are ruined because of Spine chill. All normal killers have to compete with countless loops ...

So we want to make him move the grass ? So that the survivor has time to change sides of the palett (click click click), or move around as with the nurse... OK good

So why not limit the number of pallet jumps, like for the window? Yes you know when the survivor knows that the killer doesn't want to waste time breaking the palette at the risk of having to go from one loop to the other, so it takes a long time...

Oky, exactly like in Resident evil resistance, survivors will become OP in SWF mode (they already are, lol) !🤗

  • good spirits use their power in short bursts so if even if you can one they get their power back in 4 secs and do it again, also survs dont want a nerf but a change to make her interactive in chases

  • Ds/unbreakable. Survivors - oh my god, it's not even that strong, just make us use it and move on.

Deadhard at a loop. Survivors - oh my god, it doesn't work half of the time, just bait it out and get good.

Swf. Survivors - oh my god, most swfs are casuals and dont use it's free 10 perks, just get good.

3 gens pop in first chase. Survivors - oh my god, gen speed is fine, just pressure better, the game isnt over yet.

Spirit. Survivors - OH MY GOD THIS IS SO UNFAIR!!! She has no counter play. You killers want this game to have no interaction. It's a mind game that we're not in control of, all we have is looping, please nerf.

Well from what I'm reading is that she can be difficult to go against because if the person is not using iron will then a player with good headphones will hear them more right? So wouldn't the best option would be to fix sound and make it lower for people wearing headphones so that they don't have a big advantage when playing spirit?

  • I don't hear anyone when I play with it, that's why I find the change really important... The sound bug I don't hear the injured survivors, even with Stridor

Sadly that would be difficult to implement because the game would have to distinguish between headphones and speakers and even then you could just crank your headphone volume up so that it would be back to normal.

The best fix would be to just make it obvious when Spirit is phasing and when she is not.

Alternatively, just switch her power so that she sees blood pools instead of hearing survivors while phasing. Would be fair and the hemorrhage effect would be useful for once.

I Could actually agree with that change. We could also see an increase in the perk lucky break since it gets rid of blood

Wait survivors are only complaining about things that bother them? No way dude!

  • Imagine still complaining about Spirit even with all the sound bugs still existing in this game. Better yet, imagine people still PLAYING Spirit with all these sound bugs in the game.
