You say that like 6 seconds can't be game changing in a match.
It definetely can but i feel other perks have more impact and are also consistent

Thats the time bonus for EVERY gen you do, if you are focused on gens you do multiple gens a match... And thats just for 1 perk slot...
For 1 perk slot out of 16 survivor perk slots thats pretty strong.
You won't be able to do the majority of the gens in your games though (especially with another survivor).
And you are giving up a perk slot that could be Unbreakable,Decisive Strike,Adrenaline etc.

You should always team up on a gen when possible... The time you lose by splitting up and looking for another gen is nothing compared to the debuff. A gen that is fully completed can´t regress anymore. I see so many lost matches because people are splitting up on gens, especially in the end game, resulting in all getting killed. Whenever you see a match getting lost on the last gen, thats the result of constantly splitting up for no reason basically.
You generally are supposed to split up on gens most of the time to make it harder for the killer to pressure you.
If 3 survivors are working on a gen and the killer comes to you then that's easy pressure for him because he was able to interrupt 3 survivor from staying on gens.
But yeah, there definetely are also times were working together on a gem would be a better idea.
-
Nope,it just saves you 6 seconds if you repair with someone else (from 46 seconds down to 40).
It's bad

When I saw the pic on Twitter I thought it was awesome they were doing 4 days of 100k BP but then I saw it was claimable once and was like "ofcourse, why give out that much BP 4 days in a row to help with the grind?"
I swear i could download any mobile game ever and even then i would get a better event than this.
Pretty depressing.

100k bloodpoints but only one so why was the advent calendar showing 4 days? Cause we can claim 1 reward within those 4 days?....
Honestly worst event I ever saw in a game
Yikes, even overwatch events were more fun than that (And those were mostly just reusing the same event from the previous year).

Anyone else having video card issues?
Ive just upgraded from a 1080ti hybrid to a 3080, now that the video card is only air cooled my pc is running stupidly hot, this is only whilst playing DBD, just in the menus I’m at 76 Celsius with a load of up to 90%.
Other games run perfectly fine, I’m guessing it’s just poorly optimized/ coded?
Really bad optimization in this game has been a known issue since forever

Mobile gets a bloodhunt like every other week. Seems odd they have no issues doing blood hunts that often in first year but it's too difficult to do it for pc/console that's been out for 4 years.
Sometimes i don't get BHVR.
It would be sooo easy to do and they would make a huge part of their playerbase super happy with that.

It's not about "effort" but yes it's a lot of work, the games engine has been updated and things need to be completely reprogrammed. It's about resources and time particularly.
Please don't forget pretty much this entire year has been work from home, which is pretty challenging for game studios. And that's going to be the same for the foreseeable future as well.
It would have been nice to get this kind of info earlier.A lot of people, including me,thought that it would just be a simple thing to do like disabling bloodlust, starting bloodhunt events etc.
But wouldn't you agree that giving us somekind of bloodhunt (double or 1.5 bp) would be a very easy change to make this feel more like an event?
-
The problem is you very very very rarely face a hag so most people are very inexperienced playing against her.
There's also the fact that most of time the hag you are playing against is pretty bad aswell and usually just camps the first person with like 20 traps around them.

You can get a grab out of it IF the portal is far enough so the survivor doesn't hear you exit it and close enough so the undetectable status effect doesn't wear off too soon. Still the undetectable status effect should last longer.
However you also have to hope that the survivor doesn't hear your load af footsteps and they don't see you. but with properly placed portals it does happen every now and then.
You have to be deaf if you aren't able to hear demos super loud STOMPING

I think at this point they need their own rarity class so other green rarity offerings are not becoming more and more uncommon to see..
also we need a trade in for offerings we would never use. There are just map offerings (and others) that I would never use on certain killers..
Giving map offerings their own category would actually be a great idea imo.

I would prefer they changed the build to be more powerful overall than to have it dependant on a specific map being played. 😅
Spooky Myers though 😢

His big issue is map coverage. He really needs to be able to move faster when cloaked; maybe play with the idea of allowing him to walk through solid objects while invisible, at the cost of taking longer to phase back in.
But they'll probably just give him some stupid cooldown timer like they do for every killer they remake.
*Looks at nurse and blight*

I'm not gonna unprivate my stats. Also I'd like to mention they were paused for months it wouldnt even be an accurate reflection. I've recently switched to being a killer main also. I dont get why its so hard to believe I main the side with a conflicting opinion other than "survivors op, and killers oppressed".
What kind of stats do xbox players have?
Is it just playtime or is it more than that?

I do not think they should remove map offerings for the sake of balance only. I do not think players should be allowed to decide which map to play on. It should be 100% random IMO. It would also make the game more fun considering that you do not know which map you end up on.
But you wouldn't be able to do fun builds like Spooky Myers anymore :(
And sometimes you want to see other maps if the RNG decides to give you the same maps over and over again

Aim dressing happened multiple times to me. I had one round where the game decided to hit the window frame instead of the survivor, which made me lose the game. Cool, hm?
You don't even have the rank 1 Killer achievement, as you mentioned it in another thread. If Killer is so easy, where is it?
Bad pings are an issue for every game, that's not an dbd-only-issue. Stop blaming killers for it.
There is no rank 1 achievement on console
-
No,i don't think so.
Map reworks made almost all maps much more balanced. There are a few exceptions here and there but once they are done with all of them then map offerings won't matter that much anymore.

Seems like Blood and Guts is the best cosmetic for them so far. However they are SUPER new, whereas Deathslinger is several chapters back., which is why I expected a bit more.
Plus Deathslinger is quite a popular killer.
You would have thought he had some new cosmetics by now.

But I promise its not what you think. Simply put, I'm talking cosmetics.
Seriously, he's only got four with a bunch of re-colors! Its annoying that one of the coolest/most original killers has so few options in his wardrobe! Its not like its hard to come up with ideas.
For example: A coonskin cap, a thick winter coat, and a hunting rifle-esque Redeemer? Or perhaps a high class Highwayman, sporting a facial bandana, a frock coat, and a shotgun Redeemer? A Civil War Soldier with his trusty musket and a neat little bugle at his side? Gimme somethin'...
It's so sad.
He didn't get a SINGLE skin besides his release cosmetics (i'm not counting this boring 4th anniversary recolor)
And i was so excited for his halloween skin :(

I’m fixing a gen but the killer is coming so I need to go hide. However, as soon as I let go of the button to stop the repair a skill check is initiated and the damn gen blows, naturally alerting him to my presence. I figure it’s just coincidence but... WHY?!!! For the love of all that’s holy. It doesn’t happen all the time, but definitely more than it should.
I firmly believe there's a mechanic in this game that will detect the worst possible moment to give you a skill check as soon as you let go of the gen.

Dead Hard's purpose is to recover from a mistake by pushing a button. Whether that's dodging a hit or making critical distance, it's still the same purpose: pull yourself out of hot water. In fact, that's kind of the perk's description, and is the reason it's such a poorly designed perk (imagine if Coup de Grace was activatable on a cooldown - push a button to outplay the survivor).
(Okay, now I actually want a week of that just to prove that anything messing with loops like that with zero resource use or downside is dumb and shouldn't exist.)
And, based on the way the perk is designed, it does seem like the main intention was to dodge hits, with everything else being secondary.
Coup de Grâce with a 40 second cooldown when?
-
@nursewannabe said:
I actually don't mind DH for distance. I hate a well landed dead hard that actually dodges my swing. This perk is probably the biggest counter to nurse, and since I have good ping, it seems like I never get those "exhausted on the ground" hits that affect many people, and there's nothing more disheartening than knowing I'll have now to wait fatigue + another 3ish seconds to recharge my blinks and go for another attack. If the survivor broke LoS too then the chase gets even longer just cause E.
Depressing tbh
Same,i've been practicing my nurse game lately and got quite a bit better but man nothing annoys me more than a survivor outplaying a perfect blink just by pressing a button :(
-
@TripleSteal said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1838023#Comment_1838023
I mean an actual cancel of the blink allowing you to M1 instead of using an already charged blink
Best footage of blink cancellation I found (disregard the russian title, just refer to the video itself):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vd-OwUdwTAI&ab_channel=Feromon
On average I encounter 1 player who can consistently pull it off per 1k hrs of playtime, and it is mostly used on the 2nd blink as a counter to double back. Since I'm currently working on my nurse skills (that are rather pathetic as of now), I'd like to learn this stuff as well.
That looks reaaally weird.
But that's an exploit right there honestly.

@VexTheHex said:
People pretty much already said the best ones. She can benefit from the slowdown from Corrupt while also being one that can get some defense on totems like Ruin and Undying. Monitor makes it harder to locate her and know where she is trapping. Nurse's always works with killers wanting to be sneaky. Pop is good if you're being a 3 gen Hag.
Make Your Choice is cheese on her. It's really good, but it's also really cheap.
@WishIcouldmain said:
Here's what I recommend. Sloppy to give yourself time to set up traps while they're busy healing. MnA to help patrol your web of traps. And startle people to running. Make Your Choice so you can teleport back to a trap and down the unhooker Michi possibly the best Hag always runs it. And Corrupt to push survivors to your traps since waiting is boring. And also could allow you to choose a good three gen spot. So try Sloppy Butcher, Monitor and Abuse, Make your Choice, and Corrupt Intervention.
I wouldn't recommend Corrupt Intervention on hag because it hinders your ability to set up your web of traps before survivors start running towards you.

You most definetely can and it's still in the game.
Never heard of that and if it's really possible then it's obviously not intended just like the fatigue cancel or the ability to look up while being in the fatigue

You can't.
You can only aim your blink towards the ground to shorten the blink distance

Do killers even need more buffs in general though? That's the problem. Considering the average red rank kill rate of almost 3, I feel like its very reasonable to say that survivors are worse off in teh game now. Sure there are still problems on killer's side which i think need to be adressed but when you start sayign stuff like killers arent strong enough and survivors are the power role when statistics say otherwise, you've got a situation where killer is becoming the once OP role survivor was.
Those stats are useless though.
High Ranks is full of bad players on both sides

The only reason i'm saying red rank stats matter and the others dont is because other ranks are full of people either new to the game, smurfing, deranking etc and is not a good representation of normal games.
Red ranks are very often not a good representation of normal games either considering how full it is with bad players

I just tried to come back to playing survivor and this bot freddy outplays me I guess. I still escape which was nice but they need to focus on punishing killers who have bad connection.
Yeah, hit validation just doesn't seem to work at all.
It still favours the killer no matter what your ping is

I no longer use generator regressing perks while playing killer. For as exciting as Ruin Undying has been with the imo upgrade over Pop minus a flex slot, I decided to try out this playstyle after watching Umbra and OhToFu Hillbilly videos.
They both emphasized Whispers and BBQ in their builds and once I got used to it. Wow. The teams that fall on their face still very much fall on their face regardless of popping gens or ruin going to town as I scatter survivors.
This isn’t, at least to me, intended as a brag but hopefully another voice saying that some of these perks are not as mandatory as a player might’ve thought.
New Hillbilly build: BBQ, Enduring, Shadowborn, Whispers (W)
New Oni: BBQ, M&A, Infectious Fright (IF), W
New Ghostface: BBQ, Brutal Strength, I’m All Ears, W
I basically replaced my gen regression perk (PGTW) with Whispers and it’s been a lot of fun because I feel I have a higher chance of starting a chase.
I’d like to hear your stories of venturing away from meta perks or thoughts on switching in the future. I must admit that I had to massively level up my killers before I dipped my toe but I agree with this playstyle so much more that it’s super refreshing new gameplay for me.
I stopped using Ruin like a year or year and a half before its rework because i hated the RNG.
I hated using Ruin and Undying because that combo was still very RNG dependent and it rarely felt like it would win me matches. It felt for me like a "win more" type of perk like Dying Light.
Ditched Pop several months ago too because i absolutely hate how much it interrupts my game flow.
The only slowdown i currently use is sloppy butcher or corrupt intervention. The rest is BBQ and chase perks.
I just love to solely focus on chasing and pressuring survivors instead of worrying too much about gens.
It's way more fun in my opinion

It's not a rumour. It's me speculating. I assume they're going change to EGC in the direction they were heading when they first announced it.
The EGC was introduced to remove hatch standoffs and survivor holding the game hostage after repairing all the generators.
It was never meant as a tool to directly help the killer
