Hype!

I only have 2 friends, and one has absolutely terrible internet. Feelsbadman.
You could start looking for teammates here:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/looking-for-players
-
You should play in a 4-men-SWF when you want to go for this trophy.
-
So within a certain range, you can teleport to where you want. Nurse?
-
Even more important than bloodpoints are the queue times for me. Assuming queues would be the same for both roles, I would play survivor more.
-
@Skittlesthehusky We have quite a few threads on this topic here on the forums, yet I've never seen the devs even hinting in the direction that they consider changing something.
If we want to discuss this topic further, it probably makes more sense to have a discussion along the lines of "reasons for a 2nd objective" in general and not "this is how a 2nd objective could look like".
(Btw, a couple of months ago, I also made a suggestion how a 2nd objective could look like. If you are interested, you can check it here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/65083/concept-for-a-2nd-objective-for-survivors/p1
But as I said, as long as the devs don't give any indications on their plans, a general discussion makes more sense.)
-
I'd like to know whether the devs see a problem with how fast survivors can get their objective done.
We can discuss 2nd objectives all we want, if the devs don't see any need for something to change, it feels pointless.

Honestly, I set my friend request to private because I got bored of the salt and would prefer to just keep playing.
Yup. At first, I only set messages to private but then I got friend requests instead, so I had to disable them as well. Only because of one single video game smh...
-
Even if you had tunneled, so what? Dying Light is a strategic perk (like Remember Me) that encourages you to tunnel the Obsession to death as early in the match as possible. It's the perk's design.
-
Nurse: A very good Nurse will down you once she found you. Play stealthy, waste her time by making her look for the survivors.
Totems should not be a problem when you play SWF. One or two players in your team should run Small Game. Since you are the experienced player who keeps the killer busy, the less experienced teammates can go for the totems.
And personally, what is making the game unfun for me: Too long queue times, too many people dc'ing and game-breaking bugs.
-
In most matches, slugging is the only way to get a 4k. That is how DbD is designed. If somebody doesn't like the game design, they should complain to the devs and not to the players for playing the game.
-
@PhantomMask20763 That's the normal thing to do, no worries.

Lol oh I see so when the game is basically over, the best move a killer can do is camp a hook so he loses the few points he did manage to get by proximity camping?
I'm so ashamed to be a killer main when I see the logic coming out of us...
Of course it's the best tactical choice. In that scenario, if the killer leaves the hook and goes for a new target, he gives up his remaining chances to turn the match (except he runs late-game surprises like NOED + Bloodwarden).
If he patrols/"proxy camps" the hook, there might be survivors coming and making an unwise rescue attempt, getting downed close to the hook and voilà, there is the snowball effect.
Also, you don't lose bloodpoints, and the Emblem points aren't relevant in that case. (If somebody cares about pips in the first place.)
And you don't have to feel ashamed for other people playing tactically. :)
-
There are currently 10 male and 7 female survivors. I don't think that the next one will be male again.
-
@TrueKn1ghtmar3 Decent survivors won't fall for the fake uncloak every time. This won't work like you imagine. Also there are enough loops and pallets on most maps to keep you busy even if the pallets are dropped early.
-
@joker7997 said:
You bleed out much faster if you crawl around, I would estimate about twice as fast as if you weren't moving. Go play the game and try it instead of berating someone stating a fact, asking them to prove it to you. Ridiculous.
Wut? The user @HorsePower was so kind to post evidence in this thread that crawling doesn't make the bleed out go faster.
-
@TrueKn1ghtmar3 said:
Play wraith with all-seeing blood, and windstorm blood never have to worry about a loop again and if they sit at a pallet make them drop it
Are you confusing the add-ons? Windstorm Blood won't help you at a loop.
@HP150 It depends on the map and the killer. If an 115% M1 killer like Wraith gets looped on The Game for 3 minutes, it doesn't have to be the killer's fault.
-
Bugs aside, I dislike the 8k bloodpoint cap per category and the Emblem System.

Well Behavior is known to make mobile games so if it's not DBD it will be a mobile Stranger Things game. Or maybe we'll get skins, I think it would be absolutely terrifying if we got a Demogorgon skin on Spirit, can imagine the Demogorgon with it's maws wide open as it appears directly behind you and rips you off the Gen?
Can you imagine a Demogorgon without any teleport power running at 115% speed after the survivors around the looping spots?
-
I can't imagine that the devs and Netflix would make empty jokes like that. If it turned out that the next chapter wouldn't be Stranger Things, big parts of the community would be hugely disappointed. It would be a PR disaster.
-
If you looped the killer for too many gens and the game is basically over, it doesn't make sense from a tactical point of view to leave the hook.
-
Have fun! :)

@SunderMun said:
Possibly an oversight; possibly because the devs didn't want the aura reading to be used to make a free win out of which perk is used when the hatch is closed.
Of course, you are right. Imagine the killer would see the location of the last survivor when he closes the hatch... The devs would have to remove that part of the effect for the hatch closing and probably don't want to do it.

I don't see a reason why Rancor doesn't activate since it's literally just like NOED, and it's not like Bitter Murur where it shows you where the last survivor is at.
Also when the hatch is closed and the killer finds you before you managed to open the door, it's usually gg anyway. Doesn't matter if there is a one-hit or not.
-
Introduction of the EGC. No holding the game hostage for 30+ minutes after the gens are done to make the killer dc. More important than the removal of hatch stand-offs.
-
@066 I wonder why 2-3 survivors per match run a perk that is "nerfed to the ground"...
-
@Bbbrian2013 Yup, it doesn't confirm anything. We will probably know in a couple of days what the next DLC is going to be.
-
@Peanits May I ask, is what you wrote in this thread your personal opinion or is this BHVR's official stand on the genrush topic? Or both?
-
@ASAPTurtle Yup. If you run an Obsession perk, then you chose the risk. Otherwise it's not so cool. Just like other Obsession perks like Remember Me or Dying Light.

I'm honestly for this, but add a reflective vest with it.
Also add a clown's nose or Groucho glasses.

@ASAPTurtle said:
Rancor shouldn't even exist.
It's a gift for the DS user. :) But I agree that it's a bit mean for the surv who doesn't run an Obsession perk and just gets randomly chosen.

I just realised, what if we had medusa as a killer... Could she place statues around the map and whoever looks at them gain an immobility penalty of 1 second? Maybe thatd be OP cuz I have no idea lol, thoughts?
As long as the view detection would work as reliably as the Ghostface reveal, it would be far from OP...
-
@johnmwarner Yup. The idea is popular and requested so many times, yet voice comms make it simply not possible. Some things just won't happen.
-
@Raptorrotas said:
A disguise killer would maybe work if he'd overwrote all survivor skins, and make survivors see survivors as other survivors or as the killer. Such a killer would need to screw with a lot of interfaces.
When its just the killer transforming into a survivor, that concept is doomed. (Especially since that killer wouldnt be allowed to attack out of disguise, could only sabotage stuff and definitely wouldnt be fair to have instantdowns, we all know the ideas of balance here)
Even if skins would be overwritten, it still wouldn't work as long as the SWF players talk to each other.

YH I know I said that in my post lol
I overread that part, sorry. Now I wonder why you would make a suggestion of which you know that it doesn't work...
-
@kermit_snacc_choke A killer disguised as a survivor can't work because of SWF.
-
Borrowed Time is currently the most powerful it has ever been & in a good spot. Combine it with other perks, insta-heals and SWF and you can even pull off saves against campers in a lot of situations.
Also try climbing the ranks. The higher you get, the rarer you'll come across killers who camp early in the match for no reason. (No reason to complain about tactical camping at the later stages of a match.)
-
Agreed. Keys should be a bit bigger and shiny, then there shouldn't be a problem.
@rina said:
Can we remove killer’s ability to see items in lobby instead? :)
No. :)
-
@Jackikins I like your Jake's Prestige clothing!
-
To clarify: Would the hooks be recognizable as crippling hooks for the survivors and the killer?
-
The killer needs 2 perk slots to get the effect. The survivor can drop the pallet early to deny the killer the effect.
And the pallets spawn too close to each other again. Often enough the killer does get the Spirit Fury effect, but he doesn't benefit from it, since the next pallet (or window) is close enough to be reached safely for the survivor. That's why I dropped Spirit Fury and now go with Bamboozle.
Really, there is no reason to nerf Spirit Fury.
-
@HatCreature I don't want to write a novel, but depending on the situation, knowing the exact number of remaining totems can be better than just knowing that there are still totems left.
-
But there would be a difference between solos and SWF. The SWF groups knows exactly how many totems have been cleansed.
-
Yes, they will be there.

I'm an idiot. For some reason I was sure I got 2 sacrifices.
no problem 😊
-
2 kills would haven given you Silver.
1 kill is Bronze, 2 and 3 is Silver, 4 kills is Gold. If you get 4 kills AND 9 hooks, then it's Iridescent. (9 hooks alone don't give you Iridescent.)
So with 8 hooks and 1 kill, you got Bronze.
For the Emblem points, it doesn't matter if survivors die on the hook or get mori'ed, you get your points in both cases. You only don't get points when survivors bleed out on the ground.
Edit: You should correct your opening post to 1 sacrifice. It doesn't help the discussion if the basic information aren't correct.

Ok, those are fair points. Maybe not have maps favour either side as they change dynamically, but have more dynamic changes in maps nonetheless would be cool.
As long as it is a gimicky bonus and doesn't favour one side, sure. I just don't see how the devs would have time to implement something like that. There are a lot of issues that need dealing with, I can't imagine that they have ressources to spend on gimicks.

Just make all killer offerings a secret :)
I generally would also like to see these players punished. I loaded into a nurse game earlier and by the time my first blink finished 3 people dc'd and a few seconds later the survivor got hatch. Then tried playing it off like we had a whole match when the person that escaped had like 7.2k bps.
Just making all offerings a secret would be even better.
I'm currently not using a lot of moris myself, but when I watch streamers it's ridiculous how many matches with moris get cancelled because the survivors dc in the loading screen.
I also hate these dc's in the first couple seconds when the survivors realize they are facing a killer they don't like.
-
I hope the upcoming dc penalty also includes players who dc during the loading screen (to avoid having to play matches with moris).
-
A map should be balanced the entire game and not favour any side at any point.
Often matches are decided early in the game (Gets the killer a couple of hooks before the first gen gets done? Are 3 gens done when the killer gets his first hook?).
Now imagine in the beginning of the match, one side gets favoured. The match can easily be decided at that point so that it doesn't matter anymore that the map conditions now turn around.
