  • Don't. Getting your ass handed to you is how you get better at most things, and DBD is no exception. If a chase goes for over 3 minutes then you're most definitely doing something wrong, even in the most bullshit map setups. This is your opportunity to learn how to properly run against some of those setups against a good survivor.

  • Play wraith with all-seeing blood, and windstorm blood never have to worry about a loop again and if they sit at a pallet make them drop it

  • Always weigh the value of the chase. If I'm chasing a survivor for a minute and they are dropping pallets while running near gens being worked on, thus scaring a survivor off the gen, then I might keep on it. I'm a minute and a half in with the shack pallets and 6 other pallets gone. That has value.

On the other hand, the survivor is using t walls and vaults, but not dropping pallets much, I will look for an opportunity to break off and pressure a gen being worked on.

  • Very situational, some others have good answers here so i'll add in with this little tid bit.

If you're using Spirit Fury & Enduring be very careful not to get trapped into the mindset that you'll catch that person because you have that combo. You can still get looped, you can still lose him, you will still lose all pressure if you keep chasing that person for a very long time just because you know that if they drop a pallet on you you'll get a hit. You might never get that hit.

Be aware of your surroundings, even when you're chasing 1 Survivor try to get clues of what everyone else is doing but don't let it distract you either.

  • If survivors are abusing a broken loop, don't chase them. It's a complete waste of time.

Depending on the map, you may have to drop a few chases to pressure the gens. This is of course is not so ideal, but it's not as dangerous as allowing multiple gens to get done during one chase. And you might get lucky and fight someone who isn't a good runner.

Just keep in mind that there are some maps that are unwinnable against decent players.

Ummm, survivors can in fact waste quite a bit of your time on broken maps if they know what they're doing.

Which means there's no proper way to deal with those loops. It's best to abandon the chase and try to pressure other survivors.

It's also worth mentioning that lower tier killers cannot win on crappy maps if the survivors play optimally. That's because map design is clearly in the survivors' favor.

  • If a survivor keeps going to long loops or looping pallets, I drop the chase and go for someone else. In a lot of matches, there's at least one survivor who will drop every pallet they see; I'll use them to get rid of as many pallets as possible, then I'll go back after the better looper.

  • Spend around 1 min to a 1 min and 30 seconds, cut chase if they are in a infinite loop or try to get some good mind games going. but at most a chase should last a min and 30 seconds and a good chase ends withen 30 seconds

Are you confusing the add-ons? Windstorm Blood won't help you at a loop.

@HP150 It depends on the map and the killer. If an 115% M1 killer like Wraith gets looped on The Game for 3 minutes, it doesn't have to be the killer's fault.

What windstorm is for is avoiding loops period, you can start to uncloak at a pallet and the surv will throw it down every time, allowing you to stop mid animation, back up to avoid the hit, break the pallet, catch up before next pallet, all seeing will always be active for you so there is not a chance you will lose them and increase your chances of blocking off a path or even heading off their loop around a wall windstorm even helps get from one point to another faster providing higher gen pressure than base wraith, with this build if i have a target they are downed before an official chase ever begins

  • @TrueKn1ghtmar3 Decent survivors won't fall for the fake uncloak every time. This won't work like you imagine. Also there are enough loops and pallets on most maps to keep you busy even if the pallets are dropped early.

Yet I've made it as low as reds with wraith especially with that build
