This guy knows whats up. The HEAL SPEED WAS NEVER THE PROBLEM....... The fact that they made a BOON that HEALS is the real issue. Sorry but its just too broken. A 5th perk for every other Survivor that didn't bring it, and gigantic radius, and an infinite amount to place again and again and again and again and again and again. I say 3 strikes and your out. The Killer should Smash the Totem on the 3rd SNUFF!
U are to weak minded I guess to understand, that boon it's not an issue, why no one can understand that boon gives a survs place who was blessing?? Or for now day killers are lazy to think????

DBD has always had camping and tunneling. No amount of nerfing or complaining is going to make it disappear. Its a annoying strategy for sure but its to be expected. Especially if the killer is losing the match very fast.
If u loose, just God damn accept! It works also!

With CoH, yes.
Dude, CoH is not a problem, but people in game!!! Yezzz. Many times I have playing against tunnelers and campers and were no CoH at all. So perk is not guilty but huge amount off new come noobs aka new players here. People are the main reason why this game going to hell

I never use keys now. I hate having to spend 7k BPs on the bloodweb for an "ultra rare key" when it's basically less useful than a yellow tool box.
Though I can totally understand the problem it was to have a 4 man key escape as it was before, as a Solo survivor I kind of miss the idea of having a chance to save a team mate. I'm thinking about those times when there are only 2 survivors left and seemingly no hope, but if I could just locate that survivor and get them to sneak with me, we'd do the impossible.
Now the keys are just trash (imo). I have a ton of them piling up in my inventory. Devs really sucked all the magic out of them. And now that the hatch doesn't even appear unless there is only one survivor left, it's almost impossible to get a hatch escape against so many high mobility Killers. They always find it first, and you have no chance at the door either.
Yeah, it use to was enen achievement to make 4 man escape through hatch, did they were deleting that?? The changes to the key was rip off. They just killed whole mechanic and made a garbage. For killers Mori still actually possible, but escape through hatch with key - No

For those that have unlocked all or some perks for Killers/Survivors, and to those who have Prestige (X3) all or some Killers/Survivors:
- Would you expect any compensation for your feats of dedication?
- What do you think would be appropriate as compensation, since others wouldn't have to work as hard in order to earn the same things--that undoubtedly took you more effort?
- Prestigers: Would you be upset, or feel cheated if the task to prestige took less effort, and still offered the same rewards that you already earned?
NOTE: No one is sure what the dev's have in store to reduce the grind, but we do know something is in the works. For all we know it could be higher chances for 100% Bonus BP (Blood points) Offerings as a counter measure for example. However, it could be much more substantial than that. I'm curious to hear your thoughts.
I'm waiting nothing from this company, they can't make game playable, and u want some reduce grind xD

Well no kidding, which is why I said I would wait. Seemed kind of obvious as I didn't mention a magic patch wand. Didn't know those existed.
Maybe LoL sure, don't play it but 9ther competitive games the bans are not even close to that severe. And as I said. They have a reset that is known. That way if you do have issues. You know the amount you can wait without the penalty becoming worse.
I'm not defending it, clearly you read wrong. I just said I don't care about it because I don't. Typical that you just say"thats kind of sus you must rage quit"
Maybe you haven't had any good ones but I have had a few. I know generally it can make things harder but I don't see it "ruining" the experience. Just makes it harder.
Sure, I'll take my cake. And as I have said multiple times I'm not DC'ing. It's crashing. But I can tell you won't be convinced otherwise because this game runs perfectly and no one can ever have issues. They all just rage quit.
I have powerful PC and yes, this game still crushing! U not alone

I used to be able to play this game for hours a day… now, it’s about 15-30 minutes, equivalent to about 2-3 matches. In my opinon, this game keeps getting worse as the months and years go on. I can’t speak for everyone but this is what I have noticed in my games since I started playing up til today;
- Camping has gone haywire; Almost every match the first person to get hooked is camped til 2nd stage or death despite how many gens are remaining and who the killer is.
- Survior Perks have been getting nerfed back to back; Just recently COH received 2 hard nerfs, Boil Over lasted about a week, God forbid survivors get a perk they can get value out of or have fun with other than the meta, Parental Guidance didn’t even get a chance to make it to live without getting changed, and the new Boon is almost laughable… Seems The whole entire perk was born from a joke from 2 workers.
- Despite new chapters coming out you only see 2-3 killers in your matches, one of which is long overdue for a nerf, I bet you who I’m talking about.
- SBMM is so inconsistent on both sides, you either get sweats or you get people who barely know how to play the game.
- The grind and the tome challenges are extreme at times. I honestly feel bad for newer players who want to commit to the game. Good luck leveling up to get all the tier 3 perks on both sides and thats not even taking into account if you want to prestige your character.
- The current meta seems to be set in stone on both ends, I’m talking about the 3 gen regression perks with BBQ on killer and the same BT, DS, DH, and whatever 4th perk you wish to add. Isn’t that boring for both sides?
I can go on and on about why I feel this game is regressing, HAHA get it? Anyways:
TLDR; It feels like the game is going downhill because of certain things being changed or left unchanged along with the actions of both roles that leave the game extremely unenjoyable.
I feel the same, this game started to be boring and not really enjoying playing this game any more. So I decided to finish this rift and don't come back. Cuz its frustrating experience playing this game and with every update getting worse

After hitting second stage while the killer isn't even camping or hook trading to get someone off hook and then nobody comes to trade for me I just can't be bothered to do struggle checks anymore. Seriously, if not one person can get off gens or hiding in a corner to come save their teammate from getting more than one hook state per hook I'm looking for another group.
Sure, I completely understand if I'm being camped by Bubba and I'll hang on as long as I can but if nobody even makes a move to go for a save I'm just leaving that incredibly painful process and hoping the next group is better.
Normally, I just shrug it off but it feels like it's happening a lot more this week than normal which is part of why I'm so frustrated with it. Has anyone else noticed an uptick in this happening or have I just been super unlucky?
The same. U are not alone, it's always happens to me.

Everyone that plays killer knows how frustrating that the survivors can hold their sprint with no punishment and make it to a pallet. So what if the survivors can run but for a short period amount of time. I think survivors can hold their sprint for 45 seconds, if they run longer than 45 seconds they will be hindered and exhausted for 10 seconds, but they can't run if they what to loose the hindered and recover their exhausted. This would solve the holding sprint problem and making survivors think more carefully if they want to use their exhaust perk.
OK, why not to add stamina to killers??? Fair exhaustion, when they jump from high instead of hit???

Hatch and keys were overpowered. Having a nice 3-Gen stolen away from you because the game said "Survivors! Here, come take this free escape for letting the Killer get a 3-Gen and almost winning the game" was certainly a problem
Same as camping off first hook to have Mori... Lmao

Removing suicides on hook should remove from game, seriously. If people have not this chance, they will play normal. Maybe first week they will troll or stay afk but then game will back to normal. And this will be good for game healthy.
Why everyone should play with u for your own fun???? Are u selfish or I just missed something??? Why u not pleased with kills on hook?? Kill= skill is in it???

@danielmaster87 said:
It's basically a proven fact at this point that if you have enough meta perks as survivor, you can overcome anything. Specifically Dead Hard gets you out of jams, or puts you in that much more of an advantage, more than the killer can possibly handle. You can't beat 3 health states on 3-4 survivors. It's impossible. Any time you get close to downing them, they can extend the chase by 30 seconds at will. If you're not an instadown killer, you've automatically given yourself a disadvantage, and even if you are, the survivors don't have to heal, so they can keep their 2 health states again (1 Dead Hard then 1 injured). And the perk does has a downside (since people think killer add-ons having downsides makes them balanced) of a mere 40 seconds, which encourages you to commit to downing them after they've Dead Harded to safety, so you won't have to deal with it again when you see them in the next minute. Especially on maps with god loops *ahem* well designed breakable walls, Dead Hard shows its unfairness. You can't bait out someone getting extra distance so they make it to a no-mindgame, no-gameplay loop. You just have to deal with it.
All these strategies and combos people are saying that makes killer "OP", like Pinky Finger Clown, Alchemist's Ring Blight, Cherry Blossom/Ring Spirit, Pain Resonance/Pop, can have their momentum completely ruined by 1 single Dead Hard. Or DS, which they could have on top of Dead Hard. Doesn't matter if they made a mistake. Their perk bails them out, and unlike "killer second chance perks" (not a real thing), it's active instead of passive. The survivors press a button to gain them extra distance, whereas perks like I'm All Ears and PWYF are either inconsequential or come in at times when you don't need them to/don't come in at times when you need them most.
Why do you think we complain about this perk so much? Because we're not skilled enough to beat it? Because we had 1 bad match? No! It's because the perk is broken and takes no skill! Why would 90% of survivors, or at least those who actually know what they're doing, run it?!
Thanks for your complains. Just type off posts I wish faster finish damn Rift, and never return to this toxic game and community. Players who want just easy wins, always will complain. Damn, it started to be annoying and useless. Why survs should always be nerfed, and killers who have a ton off OP perks and skill in a pocket, complaining about surv (skin + 4 perks) u damn serious???

yeah, somehow. but in most of my games not because of good gameplay. most games are decided by camping, tunneling or over altruistic behavior, granting free double downs etc. Or genrush on the other side when the first chase slightly took too long
I know there were always complaints about tunneling and camping, but about 1,5 years ago I took some stats about that and saw that tunneling wasn't that bad. like every 3rd to 4th game everyone was hooked at least once before the first died, average first kill was around 6.5th hook (while 9th hook is the latest possible kill and understandable hard for killer if everyone is on death hook before someone dies). It really wasn't that bad.
But I feel like since boons were released, killers play much more scummy, tunneling is way more common and the game health overall has suffered. So I really wouldnt only look at the killrates. I think matchmaking and MMR/ranking are the biggest problem and lead to wrong stats, because there are more people matched together that shouldn't play together, compared to well matched games that could actually give better insight on how balanced the game is.
Wait, killers started to be more scummy when Resident Evil chapter was relised, endless camping and tunneling killers amount was growing really Quick

Healing meta have been since since medkit rework, but not much people payed attention and mmr wasn't a thing so it wasn't so bad, and also almost every killer release was chase oriented, so the problem went unmentioned, however after releasing boons, and specially, CoH release and mmr being a thing made this problem go skyrocket, everybody running pretty decent medkit now, that's enough to heal at least 2 times with decent speed, while coh is buffing speed while healing with medkit, it also helps after it will run out of charges.
And the recent onryo release another nail in the coffing, or more like, newspaper where tite says that DbD is getting nail in the coffin, playing as sadako "as intended" which means hit and run playstyle absolutley pointless, if hit takes less than ~8 seconds, then it doesn't worth, because time to heal as survivor with medkit and CoH buff takes such a small amount of time, so survivor can heal and get back to the gen he repaired before, small reminder, shift+w meta also applies to this problem. While legion's problem was "why heal if you will be injured anyway", now it's "why don't heal, because it won't waste much time, but even legion will take longer time to hit me than to heal", Oni also suffers from it, I've stopped played him because 1st hit is so important to him, however even after getting that hit, downing some people if there's WGLF and CoH which is really common, you can't snowball, pretty much same applies to twins, you just can't snowball. And if you are pretty experienced player, you know that you just can't beat good players, no matter, if they are solo players or swf, as long as they are not making stupid things aka mistakes, you can't win without snowballing. Also a lot of survivors started to take protection hit which is really powerfull thing.
So I have no idea how to play with such playstyle now, most likely you just can't, even against decent survivors, you can't count on hit and run playstyle. Yeah sometimes there are no medkits and CoH, then it's most likely win but I haven't played game without some of these things in a while.
There is one thing that is able to counter this thing, which is hex ruin, but less and less people are using totems now, because survivors learn about totem spawns because they need those totems for CoH, so hexes are basically useless and even more, they can harm you more because you can try to protect them with hit and run, otherwise it will be broken, which leads to repaired gens, which also leads to gen slowdown perks meta because there is no good perks that can afflict healing aspect of game.
So there is no possible counter, except playing as plague, but since dead hard exists, she is not a threat too. I am exhausted to play as killer, performing really well and then all my pressure begone because of medkits and CoH, not to mention dead hard. I've used to be killer main but every game is very stressfull if im not playing top tier killer, so now I am only doing dailies and archives as killers, and only sometime I am playing full time killer, but this is not comparable to amount of time I play as survivor now.
Conclusion or TL;DR, healing perks (CoH) and medkits are harming killer side, and also survivor side, because killer pool is smaller due to bad condition of hit and run/reliable on injury killers. Expecting survivors to stop running dead hard, coh and medkits is unrealistic and stupid, so we have to wait for some actions from the devs, but I'm not expecting BHVR to accept their mistakes with mmr and coh, so while playerbase will be decreasing further and further, we only will get BPS and shards
Let's be honest, bless totem take about 20 seconds ish, destroy boon, 5 seconds ish, so u are probably lazy to do it??? And another thing, is no guarantee that with your dumb style hit and run, that survs can use boosting perks like Resilence, and u crying about healing... Damn... Back to nutsery I guess

I kind of agree this is understandable as survivors take 16s by default to heal while killers can wound them in 1s (3s if you count the animation cooldown), but I wish I had other good anti-healing perks instead of just using sloppy butcher to at least try to counter the new meta a bit.
SC: GIFT OF PAIN: I believe it doesn't count cuz it's just a sloppy butcher on a hook
DYING LIGHT: its effect is too little to be threatening even if stacks
COULROPHOBIA: this perk is very situational
PENTIMENTO: no one uses pentimento except for the gen slowdown, besides it's very difficult to keep two totems because the effect of the first one is more devastating.
I would love to see other good anti-healing perks, to be honest I wish COULROPHOBIA was a hex, I believe it would be balanced just because it is a totem. I would also like to see some sort of DESPERATE MEASURES in reverse for killer, the more injured survivors the longer they would take to heal, it could be a 5% or 6% penalty, it would be like old thanatophobia.
I think we could have more anti-healing perks.
Yes, just let me be injured to have my Resilence on and genrush killers xD

They showed us this time and time again,if they really cared,a lot of issues the game has would have been fixed a long time ago.
So right! Take all my ++++ exactly, they care only about money so yeah... And another question, does anyone use all those thousands off useless charms???

Then suddenly we get a "rAnDoM" event which encourages everyone to log in daily for 1-2 matches worth of bloodpoints, and wow, we're probably going to see the player numbers go up regardless of whether people do more than open the game, claim the bonus, then close it again.
I wish I wasn't cynical enough to look at it that way, but am I the only one tired of getting attention and rewards from the game only when they feel threatened? Used to be events were announced well in advance because they were about enjoying the game, now it's more like "oops, chapter flopped, fudge the numbers" or "a high profile game is releasing? time for another 1.5x weekend!"

...I'm not sure if I understood this, but let's try.
You don't get to DC just because you don't like how the killer is playing. Either loop/evade better, get your team to distract him or suicide on hook.
If the game itself is crashing, that's a tech support issue and shouldn't happen frequently enough to escalate the penalty. This is why I said 'account audit', not 'automatic ban'.
No, u didn't really understood, and I'm really have no time to explain

You may not like hearing this but:
- Why would you DC against a tunneling killer? Either outplay them or you'll be dead soon anyway. The only time DCing is acceptable is if someone is holding the match hostage. This is like saying 'I DC as killer if a survivor keeps looping me'.
- An occasional crash or DC is fine. 1-2 every day is not. Fix your connection, you shouldn't be able to annoy 4 other players consistently by DCing. The fact that I expect people to DC on a pretty consistent basis demonstrates that people DC in this game too much.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2849056#Comment_2849056
Facecamping? Absolutely.
Proxying and tunneling...no. Just because nobody seems to be able to agree what these things are.
Last night, for instance - I was playing Artist on Asylum and managed to down a Feng really early. Said Feng decided that she didn't want to play anymore and ran directly to me off hook, getting in my way - so I obliged and hooked her again. Two people DC'd and complained at me for 'tunneling' Feng in postgame.
I'm not talking about inet connection, but game crushing it self lol, i do have a really good internet, 200Mb is not enough u think??? And I don't DC just with 1 tunneler, it's OK, but imagine get like 20 in a row and teammates with no BT save?? On front of killer??? Jikes

@StarLost said:
Look, I'm not going to lie. I love this game, as does basically everyone else on this forum - whether they admit it or not. It's very hard to get annoyed about things that you don't care about.
That said - this game is starting to struggle, and a big problem with that is the foundations are shaky, and where they've been repaired it's been with tape and bubblegum - meaning that the more floors are piled on every six weeks, the more things start to sway alarmingly whenever the wind blows...and the closer we are getting to a collapse.
And yes, that metaphor is getting more and more tortured, so I'll stop.
My point is that adding new killers and survivors on top of a game with severe, outstanding design issues isn't a long-term strategy. We're now in a plateau period, if not a slump - probably the longest in a very long time.
DbD does a lot of things right, but the more that is added to it shows it's flaws.
- The grind is absurd. On top of needing to buy the game and the killers/survivors you need to unlock decent perks, you need to pour dozens if not hundreds of hours into grinding out BP - which is tough enough as a killer main, and probably utterly ridiculous for survivors. And the more perks you unlock, the more serious the grind becomes - I've put 2.5 million into Sadako (no Prestige) and have yet to unlock everything I want. Part of this is the BP system itself, which honestly only feels right during a blood hunt, and part of this is how much better than every other option a few perks are. Solution: For the time being, institute a permanent 1.5x BP gain to everyone, then work out a better system for the long term.
- Map design. There are about...3 map sets considered even somewhat balanced, the rest either favor killer or survivor (generally the latter) quite severely. Then you have maps like RPD which seems to be widely disliked by both sides, generally because it's a confusing mess of a map. Solution: The next patch overhauls Midwich, Badham, Swamp and several other tilesets to be less obnoxious.
- Camping. Facecamping is something the devs have mentioned before that they want to change, but...this really does need to be fixed soon (although I have no idea how). It's annoying how effective this is. Solution: I have no bloody idea.
- DCs. The fact that at least 1 in 3 matches has someone pull the plug seems to hint that the penalty is not severe enough. It's so lenient that people will do it just to be BM, deny the killer points/BP or because they don't feel like playing against Cenobite today. Solution: The system now tracks frequent DCers independently of the penalty system. They are warned once, and then receive an account audit, which can result in bans.
- The community. 'This community deserves a better game'...honestly, sometimes I think it's the opposite. While DbD has a pretty wholesome OOG community, the IG community may be one of the most poisonous I've encountered in ages. Part of this is the nature of the game, and part of this comes down to the developers pro-'smack talk' stance. Solution: Introduce some sort of incentive for good sportsmanship, probably tied to the 'thumbs up' in postgame.
- Balance. True balance in an APvP game is essentially impossible, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try. Right now, the difference between a high-tier killer and a low-tier killer or a match on a specific map versus another is staggering. About 1/3 of the killers need a serious update, including the newly released Sadako who was clearly not given enough time in the oven. About 1/3 of survivor and killer perks and probably more addons also need an update. Solution: For the next patch or two, priority will be given to updating the base game, even if this means that new content has to be delayed somewhere down the line.
- SBMM. Probably the most divisive thing ever added to the game; whether you are for it or want a return to the days of ranks, I don't think anyone would argue that the system is working properly. At some times of day, it's as bad as ranks, throwing players of far too different a skill level together/against each other. Solution: SBMM will now prioritize match quality over speed, even if this results in longer queue times.
And that's just me. What would you want to see in a bumper 'Foundations Fix' patch?
Wow, I don't think that Nr 4 could make a better Solution against DC. Even I doing this if my killers is another tunneling bud, like why I need to break myself mentaly if my killer are brain dead?? Why I should be banned from game where I sent a lot of money for all that DLC 's and skins??? Just tell me, if your game will be crushing itself cuz of bad game optimisation you will be happy to get perma ban from game??? U serious??? Or u just laughing???

Lol, literally u want game without any effort, no sweating, just win as killer, why you not trying different games then??

1) Remove SBMM and add in a competitive/casual mode. Disable SWF and super strong perks in competitive like COH, dead hard, Noed, etc. You might say this will split the playerbase, but it is better than losing all your players, and you probably would have more in the long-run on each side regardless from doing this even if it's cut in half temporarily.
2) Get creative with new killers, no more boring frankenstein monster design/powers where you just copy + paste 2 weaker versions of old killers together (looking at u sadako). Need a killer who can mind control survivors, summon monsters, etc. Too many killers just feel the same as others, and it is boring.
3) Perk point system to balance perks, increase slots to 8 for both sides and make each perk cost between 1-4 points based on strength. This is obvious considering how unbalanced perks in DBD currently are.
Thats it
Sounds u actually new to game... If you will remove DH people will use a lot more Sprint burst and Lithie, good luck xD

I've been playing the heck out of the new killer. I enjoyed her a lot at low levels, but after I've (inevitably) worked her up to only be matched against red-rank SWF's...these are some of the most frustratingly tedious matches I've ever played.
She's supposed to be hit and run to spread pressure but after a bit, if you make the wrong call for where to teleport, I guarantee you whoever you just hit is going to be healthy like...now. I tried only using builds with sloppy butcher, thanat, etc, but that does literally nothing against these ridiculous boons that are continually spammed every SINGLE match. Now I have to just use NOED and hope endgame goes well bc you don't stand a chance without a one hit down or consistently reliable mobility in this game anymore. It really sucks.

I've been playing the heck out of the new killer. I enjoyed her a lot at low levels, but after I've (inevitably) worked her up to only be matched against red-rank SWF's...these are some of the most frustratingly tedious matches I've ever played.

Not all boon totems are CoH, telling u just in case

@Triforcer said:
To be clear, I don't think they will decrease because survivors are "mad" about COH so they camp and tunnel more just because they are mad. As a direct result of COH, tunneling and camping increases.
Why? Simply put, COH completely kills off an entire playstyle - hit and run - that has existed for years. It is utterly useless to try, because the minute you break off someone they run 15M or less to their infinite heals that cover half the map.
When hit and run isn't viable, you have to stay on the person that is injured. Who is definitely injured? The guy on the hook. Chasing an uninjured person just mean the guy you hooked walks 15M to his infinite map-wide heals, heals, and you have to hit somebody twice instead of once to get ahead.
Will killswitching COH (and I know killswitch isn't supposed to be used for balance, but find a "bug" that lets you disable it for a month ala nurse)? eliminate ALL tunneling and camping? Of course not, it existed before and will exist after. But you have COH to thank for camping going from 1 or 2 out of every 5 game to 4 or 5 out of every five games.
U actually know that all this is dumb??? Many games without CoH in lobby, killers still camp and tunnel

So I face Blight and some how one corners that I would not even hit a survivor on as him turn a rush attack when I face him he can and it's not like that slow turn and hit no it's this quick turn beyond what a normal Blight player can do so explain how that's even possible.
Bug, exploit, probably J-flick
-
Well, this gone way to far dude, serious, stop playing with NOED and bring good perks. Why every single killer just so soft this days??? Crying that survs bring DS but just keep tunneling... Yikes

You missed nothing, cuz its another camper and tunneler xD

The best suggestion to fix Dead Hard has been said countless times at this point. After using the perk, you can't vault or throw a pallet for 3 seconds. Done
Ffs is already working this way, especially focking pallets, they not working 100% when u dead hard there! I do use DH but still loosing to killers sometimes, maybe killers just need stop expecting easy kills??? Ffs just play better, killers!

Why we can not have dark maps anymore?
MacMillan, Autohaven, Asylum, Springwood, Yamaoko are not enough dark like old versions.
Coldwind is completely changed.
Saloon, Midwich, RPD and Eyrie are far from being dark. Midwich and RPD are indoor maps, so it does not matter for them anyway.
Red Forest and Swamp are last really dark maps and they will change with rework probably. Haddonfield is licensed, so i doubt they will make it bright, At least i have hope for Haddonfield.
I hope next maps bring old theme back, i miss this type maps.
I really miss dark maps! But I have seen a lot people put trigger on brightness and all dark maps was looking like daylight, which I think is stupid

Blood rush is supposed to entice more people to play, right? Looking at Steam Charts (yes I know it’s only PC platform, but it’s the only data we have), player count has been dropping over the past week or so since the blood rush started despite the bonus BP. Seems many like players are finally getting fed up with the current state of the game with really no clear path given by the devs for how it gets better.
Cuz every time during this event survs got more often camped and tunneled, saying that from my own experience. And yeah, blood point hungry killers who just camping survs and got Double more BP than surv cuz u can run killer for 3-5 gens, do gens and do unhook and still got less than 20k BP 🙈

Just a simple/dumb question from a "Survivor Main". Play both sides but more of Survivor and this question goes to the "Survivor Mains". Why wait at the Exit Gate after they open? Assuming everyone is safe, nobody is hooked and everyone is accounted for, why? I know it's a dumb question but I'm honestly curious, unless it's to try and make a last min save or make sure everyone is safe, why not just leave?
Oh, so you did probably a challenge already where u should leave last???
-
Well, say thanks to all that dumb challenges in rift... I got angry only in that case, cuz I trying to do tome challenges and killer tunneling and camping me xD rip challenge xD

Yeah, its a never ending cycle of arma race. Good survivors can do a lot without perks just by looping, so if you give them 4 meta perks they generate immense pressure on the killers side.. mear insurmountable pressure. It doesn't help that a fair share of winners love to rub it in and BM like their life depends on it.
Experience this a few times too often and you will come to the conclusion that your only chance is to turn the game into a 3v1 asap.
How could BHVR change this? Make perks weaker the more people have them equipped ; show this in the lobby, so people can try for more unique builds in order to get the full power of their builds.
On the killer side, give them a reward for being 30m away from a hook when an unhooking happens, like Devour Hopes mechanic. I always thought that a gen speed debuff would be good, as the gen speed and gens popping in quick succession is one of the main reasons killers tunnel, but I proposed two survivor nerfs in a row, so maybe give killers a random short-lived buff when they stay away? Smol speed buff/successful hit recovery / vault speed for 30s or whatever. Enough that it's worthwhile for the killer, but also a bit random so that they don't know exactly whats coming.
And then killers will be found way how to abuse another mechanic... Bruhhhh. I think is no win combination right now, cuz game has no balance at all. With old rank sistem was possible to play, rn is garbage. And getting worse with every update PLUS it's really making huge amount off toxic people in community... It's way to many problems in this game but Devs only closing they Eyes and happy to take money for another bunch off useless skins...
-
OK, maybe than game should be started with all survs on hook, just to make easyer game for killers??? Why not, cuz killers object is to kill survs???

BHVR has make it very clear that kills = skill, why would you ban skilled play?
Oh, now I see why killers pretend to get me on hook and camping whole game
-
Funny thing, but since I started playing DBD I started making a lot of friends, but with every update only 2 friends from 50 playing DBD. Game Dying and it's not funny. They try to bring more new people, but keep loosing old players.

When I was playing against "fog whisperer" they were pretty toxic as killers...

I don’t usually post about videos but OhTofu had an interesting video about MMR this week where he breaks down what he considers faulty arguments against the system and arguments against it that have some validity. A lot of what he says I’ve said independently at one point or another so I wanted to give the vid a shout out.
I’m not going to try and bullet point the whole thing, but TLDR you can tell MMR actually does work because of people complaining how they have to “sweat” to get 1-3 kills. Having to work hard most matches to get 1-3 kills as a killer means you’re actually tending to go against survivors your own skill level. Likewise MMR doesn’t force you to play any particular way, but obviously if you play suboptimally then you shouldn’t expect to be winning when you happen to be matched against survivors who play better and have more effective loadouts than you. There are issues with MMR, such as nobody having any idea what their MMR is so everybody complaining about it is grasping at air what the numbers really are, but by and large the system does produce closer matches on average than the old emblem system.
The strongest argument he feels that is valid is that MMR just highlights that top level playstyle and meta isn’t as fun as less effective styles. In other words the more you win the more you encounter the same builds and playstyles and killers, and either you tend to lose to those (which obviously losing is less fun than winning) or you mimic the meta to keep up. Again, this means MMR is giving a good estimate of performance, but it’s making it even more clear where balance issues and similar problems exist at the higher level of the game. Nothing prevents you from running whatever fun build you like, but the more you win with that build the more you come against better loadouts that tend to thwart it. You have to be prepared to “win less” to have “more fun”, that’s the paradox and problem which MMR is bringing to light. It’s not even so much a problem with MMR itself, but more an underlying fundamental issue with how DbD as a game is designed in the first place.
Wait, what?? So when every time I finishing been tunneled or facecamped u think it a right game experience??? Lol, no, MMR is reeeeeealy bad. Hell, no.

Find the locks a joke. Whether DC or because of a bad internet connection. The game is never bug free and penalizing players for it, even though bhvr knows about many bugs, is a mess.
Well once I got problem during stream, so game was disconnected it self (I got really high speed inet) and I got 5 min ban, cuz game disconnected it self... So I think DC penalty are useless.

Damn its almost like you missed the photo in my next post were I played with no add ons and tier 2 perks vs all meta builds and 2 tricked out flashlights my point was that games are winnable even at high mmr but no let's just try and trash the other guy cause he made a point I don't agree with
I can show you my average game if you would like would that make you happy
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/XUI3UBY7BQY3/20220110-232754.jpg
Look we all win some we all lose some but to act like you know how good I am based off a sc is just laughable especially when the last time I attempted otz challenge I had a kill rate of 3.2 I don't control who mmr puts me against
We all know that mmr is trash
I'm just not bad like your inferring I am
Just try to do adept with current mmr lol and another thing, here we can clearly see that u were camping hard or tunneled poor guy to have at least one kill. Again...

I dont want to be an @ss but i dont think your mmr is that high because of the perk no one bring boon some of the survivor are not full meta, the item are lackluster compare to normally and no one use a map offering.
This is probably mid mmr and i was i was facing that type of lobby i would have more fun. I could play the build i want instead of 4 slowdown perk
we were on badham school, tell me about it

You missed the point entirely great job
First off I can tell your new here because anyone that's been posting here awhile knows that I main deathslinger and I'm one of the best ones on these forums ask anyone that's played against me
Second off if you actually looked at the points instead of guessing and blindly insulting me you'd see that game I stomped them the game was over in 3-4 minutes the game theirs no way I tunneled or camped that game cause every survivor takes 180secs to bleed out I just straight up stomped them
The op asked how to win I told him how to win and instead of taking my advice your now being a ass making assumptions that I camp and tunnel every game
Why u calling yourself "Best one" ? It`s way to wrong u know. " Best" he knows that he is "Best" but don`t shout on every corner about that. I don`t know u and i have been on this forum around 3 years, but way how u talking i Narcissist way. Nothing personal

I do not know why you were put so highly but then again, there is only one thing you can do about MMR: Grind it down. Sorry to say this but if your Killer rating is too high this is the only chance to get back to fun matches where your playstyle works.
I did so, it was not fun, but after that my matches became quit good, I was able to use fun perks and was still not meeting potatoes only.
Again, i don`t understand, how can be my killers rating been high if i really rare playing killer cuz of waiting time. Like once in a year i`m playing killer tbh xD
