Well, most rage quitters will pause the game and click on the "Leave Game" option. While people who actually have a power out will not do this and will immediately leave the game. The game can differentiate between the two and punish the first option but this can also be abused since fog travelers can just unplug their game to avoid the punishment.douggie123 said:

However, the game should be able to tell when it crashed and don't count that as a DC while not punishing you. I don't think there is a way to abuse this so this can be one way to tell the difference between an accidental DC and actual DC. -
Yes, so the Spirit player can hear their surroundings. Currently, it's very difficult to do just that with the chase music since it overlaps your surroundings sounds.DwightsLifeMatters said:I don't really understand what u mean. Regardless, this should be a thing with or without the audio bug as it makes it easier to hear what exactly is going on in the game. Cool. Nice knowing your daily sarcasm quota has been met. Keep it up buddy!
Sarcasm? I'm deadly serious, a fire cracker that can be avoided by moving your camera slightly in any direction and there has to be a thread about it, while there's offeringass in the game that a killer can use where they only have to put 1/3rd of the effort into killing a survivor.
Isn't there better, more meaningful things to complain about, like map object placement and building layouts? lmao.

Knowing this, if you are camping because of the BBQ nerf then you are definitely not rank 1 or at least, you're boosted. There are other perks such as Discordence, Bitter Murmur, Rancor, and etc can compensate for the lack of tracking that you're severely lacking.
"I'd rather play instant matches in a unranked mode. But there is no such thing. So I have to limit my capabilities to kill, so I can get matches faster and at least play with the limited time I have."
Play survivor? Usually if you're not getting matches as a killer, that means there are too many killer's in queue. Besides, I thought survivor was easy according to what you say so there should be no problem there.
"I'm not destroying noob players. I'm sitting on rank 12 after the rank reset. I try not to kill them, but hook as often as possible and then let them go. If that's a omegablink nurse for you..."
If this is your honest word then fine, have fun with handicapping yourself. Eventually you'll get bored with the inexperienced survivors and will want to actually have a balanced game where both sides have the same experience. Nevertheless, even with playing fair, you're still not giving the survivors a fair chance because you're just simply more experienced then them. You know the mind games and how to handle chases, they don't know much meaning you're gonna destroy them regardless how fair you play.
Overall, this excuse of BBQ nerf is the reason I camp is so immature. If you're gonna depip due to camping to compensate for the nerf as you'll get less prowess survivors then you're acting very frivolous about the situation.
I started playing 2 years ago. When there were no tracking perks. So I have a pretty good idea on where to search survivors.

Nobody is adapting to him like they should, they’re using him like other killers where the killer fits every playstyle. Use him how he should be used and you’ll be fine
Typical Legion Game:
You find a survivor and decide to DW the survivor. Now, you're at a dilemma: Chase the survivor or find nearby survivors with killer instinct.
Scenario #1:
You decided on finding nearby survivors so you can slow down the game. All of the survivors you previously DW'ed except for last survivor you DW'ed will either be finished mending or be in the process of mending. Now that killer instinct expired, all you have now is your 110% movement speed to down the survivor or wait until Frenzy is charged enough to get another stab in (also let's not forget you need to stab the survivor four times to down them). About time you down the survivor, you have wasted more time than what time you wasted for the survivors depending on the chase. This means you're hoping survivors don't do generators to punish you for wasting time which is extremely bad.
Scenario #2:
You decided on chasing the survivor instead of going after multiple survivors. Well this is a equally as worse as scenario #1 as you will waste just as much time. However, this scenario can cause you to get a hook faster and can start momentum early but this is very inefficient because again to down a survivor... "Now that killer instinct expired, all you have now is your 110% movement speed to down the survivor or wait until Frenzy is charged enough to get another stab in (also let's not forget you need to stab the survivor four times to down them)."
Overall, you're at the disadvantage the moment when you click on the Legion. -
I wouldn't mind this to be honest because you're getting rewarded by remaining close to the killer which is the point of the perk. Consequently, this is not the case with the current state of the perk as it doesn't award tokens when you are close to the killer.KingB said:This perk isn't strong enough to risk wasting a perk slot. It's completely useless against stealth killers. Maybe something like making it proximity based but it doesn't tell you when you're gaining the token.
Your idea will fix this WITHOUT giving away the killer's relative location to the survivor. You got my upvote, keep it up fog traveler. -
I'm okay with killers having an "Instadown" but it should be a skilled action that has counterplay. However, the Legion power has way to much counterplay - meaning his power is no threat to regular survivors - rendering his power completely useless.Incarnate said:@ShrimpTwiggs said:
"Delayed Instadown"
Not trying to be rude in any way, but there's a bit of a problem with that statement.
I agree, no killer should from a baseline perspective be able to instantly down anyone.
Because if you consider it, every killer who has the capability to instantly down either has to use very rare or ultra rare addons or have to put in a great deal of effort for it.
Knowing what I said to @Incarnate, he is not lethal enough to be considered an "Delayed instadown killer". Please @Janick, you gotta take my suggestions and implement it to the game. I'll sign a contract or do anything saying you have the legal rights to take my idea so we all can have a more balanced killer!Janick said:@Wolf74 said:

They are really good examples on how other perks should be like when they are going against each other. So, my idea in this thread is to rework a few survivor and killer perks to make them similar to how Iron Grasp and Boil Over interact with each other.
Perk Counters 1:
Monstrous Hooks: (Was named: Monstrous Shrine)
Your hooks are deadly to the touch and is filled with pure evil. Hooked survivors will suffer a 6/8/10% faster Entity progression and their odds of freeing themselves from the hook is cut in half.
~Versus~
Hope:
Your will to not giving up has caused disruption in the Entity's abilities. While on the hook, you'll be granted a 6/8/10% Entity resistance and gain 1/2/3 more escape attempts.
Perk Counters: 2
Knockout:
Your vicious attacks causes extreme pain to your victims. Dying survivors suffer from the blindness status effect and other survivors cannot see their aura outside of a 32/24/16 meter range. Your strong attacks make the survivor exhausted; dying survivors recover 10/15/20% slower than normal.
~Versus~
Unbreakable:
You're a tough fighter and survived many battles. Grants the ability to recover from dying state once per trial and your grunts of pain are reduced by 30%/40%/50%. Additionally, you have managed to decrease your stress during dire situations; you'll recover 10/15/20% faster than normal.
Perk Counters: 3
Stridor:
You're intense sense of hearing makes you sensitive to your surroundings. Natural noises (such as making grass move) are 50%/75%/100% more audible than normal and you'll see the auras of survivors within 5 meters to you. Additionally, your sense of detection allows you to sense injured survivors; injured survivors' grunts of pain are 25%/50%/75% more louder than normal.
~Versus~
Iron Will:
You adapted to extreme stress and have the ability to handle extreme pain. You won't leave pools of blood behind and you'll see the killer's aura for 3/4/5 seconds after being attacked by the killer. Additionally, your ability to handle extreme pain has numbed some of the pain; grunts of pain are 25%/50%/75% less audible than normal.
Yeah, some of these are OP but you get the point. There should be more perks that cancel each other out which make perks more like a rock paper scissor game while not being completely screwed over when you're on the short end. -

I don't care if they take my idea (they don't even need to credit me as long as they asked) and I don't want a reward via auric cells, my reward is a more balanced game.thesuicidefox said:@Nickenzie You did do a lot of work. But the devs aren't going to take your ideas dude. There's a whole mess of legal issues with that. Like a dev might take minor suggestion from a community member, I've seen that before, but there is no way they will take these ideas that drastically change large chunks of the game. Sorry but you are just kind of wasting your time doing this stuff over and over. Not trying to hurt your feelings but that's how it is. Changing numbers won't absolve them of the legal rights to your idea. If these ideas make it into the game then it's by pure coincidence you and them both thought of the same thing. Not that they took your idea because then they'd have to compensate you.
Additionally, can you please give me feedback to my idea? It's why I even punished my endgame idea and I would really appreciate it. -
I know they won't take my ideas verbatim, it's why I said...thesuicidefox said:So like, I've seen a crap ton of posts from you about endgame, hatch, etc. I'm not trying to ######### on your parade, you at least care about the state of the game but dude, none of these ideas will ever make it into the game. I don't even have to read this one. Devs won't take your ideas verbatim, and they probably have their own much better ideas in the works. Save yourself the trouble and stop trying to come up with the "great fix" to this stuff. We will get something eventually, just be patient.
The developers can take my idea but they can always change it. Additionally, can you at least read my idea because I spent A CRAP ton of effort on this.Nickenzie said:The numbers are just place holders so things can always change!

Honestly, I haven't lagged on my console and I would go as far as saying I had around 40 FPS. Anyways, back on topic, what can you see in Dead by Daylight in 5 years? -
Aura reading is really powerful depending on if you use it correctly. For example, I sometimes use Sole Survivor and Object of obsession. I used the aura reading to see the killer camping the hatch (I figured out where the hatch was located at) and 99%'d the last two generators to pop them both instantly. Then I seen the killer (aura reading) running away from the hatch and I sneaked in.Orion said:I'm sure we've all heard complaints about Killers using aura-reading perks. Usually the complaints revolve around said perks being "overpowered", sometimes even "wallhacks".
However, there's one question that nobody who complains about this has answered yet: If aura reading is so powerful, why don't Survivors use their aura-reading perks?Discuss.

Like I said to @Master, goals are a important aspect in life. No goals means you're just having a blind run and won't get far. However as a community, we should have more faith in the developers.EntityDispleased said:I have a feeling this game isn't growing that much is because it belongs to an exotic kind of genre of games. Hun, they can keep the game alive for more than 5 years of they really wanted to. Other games proved you wrong by saying it's possible such as TF2 (I don't play it), L4D 1 & 2 (I use to play it), and etc. I know BHVR can screw up because they are human but you need to have some faith Master. Whether or not you believe this statement, BHVR bust their butt just to provide you a good quality game. Maybe it's about time "everyone" (not just you) show them how much you care for their game and have some faith in their words for once.Master said:Dont give too much about words, especially when they come from certain BHVR employees.
The number of cote memes is ridiculous by now.And in the end, if DBD doesnt stay alive for 5 years, we can still play civilization

-If the Legion DW survivors who are previously injured, they can not mend themselves to the injured state.Fenrir said:We know that legion will be getting buffs overtime but what buffs would you like to see get added to the legion?
I would like stolen sketch book and etched ruler to be base in legions power and enduring to reduce frenzy fatigue
-If you cannot mend yourself to the injured state, other survivors can still mend you to the injured state.
-Increase the DW timer to 60 seconds and increase the Frenzy damage on DW survivors to 20 seconds (still 4 hits to down them).
-Timer will still decrease normally during a chase to compensate the time increase.
-If you're previously injured and you're DW, you'll see the auras of all survivors and you'll see "Find Help" at the bottom to aid newer players on what to do. This will prevent players from going down without having the opportunity to find another survivor to heal.

To be fair if the Legion DW'd you then attacks you again with Frenzy, you can still loop the Legion for 40 seconds before going down (assuming my Frenzy suggestions were implemented to the game). Those 40 seconds can be used to complete half of a generator per survivor so if you do go down because the Legion chased you till your timer expired, at least you'll know the Legion wasted a lot of time. My changes makes him better at stalling the game while being like the Pig where you can catch them mending and down them. If they run away then their timer will still decrease since my changes will not stop or slow the timer during a chase. Basically, if you go and tag multiple survivors then you're increasing your chances of catching a survivor off guard and downing them.Incarnate said:@Nickenzie said:
Incarnate said:@Nickenzie - In regards to your suggested the deep wound mechanics.
I think there needs to be two different timers, as indicated just below.
1 - healthy -> DW'ed - Longer than the normal DW timer to compensate for timer going down during a chase.
2 - injured -> DW'ed - Longer timer than the one above.
I think the deep wound timer needs to keep going down in a chase, but slightly slower, so that way if the killer decides to apply pressure on the same DW'ed victim, the killer will not be severely punished for it.
If a victim gets DW'ed while injured and while mending the victim gets "find help" the DW timer will stop before 5% left, here the victim can only stop the bleeding by keep mending, which would be different from the one who got DW'ed while healthy. In this situation the victim who keep mending will occasionally get a skill check where if they fail it, the timer will automatically decrease by 1% - which basically give a maximum of 4 failed skill attempts before going down. The result from this will be that if they're unable to actually get to another victim, they still have the option to stall the bleeding until another victim will get there and help, which will make this DW'ed victim unable to move and will pretty much be a sitting duck, unless they're willing to risk going down. Either way at this point the victim should consider it lucky if it manages to recover from this state.
In regards to the legion, I think it's base move speed should be 4.2m/s, or maybe even 4.1m/s as the legion is based of a victim, also because it's way too easy to keep chasing one who's already DW'ed who also happen to have a timer that keeps going down while in a chase, and with the changes suggested by Nickenzie, it might be necessary.
..and perhaps make legion unable to actually benefit from bloodlust, because legion already has the feral frenzy, which should be more than enough speed boost.
Don't take this to heart but I feel like the skill checks can over complicate things with the DW status effect. However, I see that you understand the main problem with DW: It has the same effect on injured and healthy survivors.
A 60 second DW timer is a lot if you think about it and most survivors should have enough time to mend (or find a teammate to mend if was previously injured). This and having Frenzy get stronger as you tag multiple survivors should help him slow down the game since he's able to DW multiple survivors. Consequently, we need to a way to balance this out because just these two buffs will make him a killing machine. The Legion will have to wait for his power to completely charge to 100% before using it and it takes more time to fully charge it (as well as lasting just a little bit longer). While my changes will definitely make him better, he should stay at 110% because it's the only thing he has when he doesn't have Frenzy.
I'm will not, as I'm just trying to throw some ideas so we can better fix the legion. The skill checks would only begin triggering when the injured victim with DW has reached 5% or less of the DW timer and has also reached the "find help", as this will ensure that unless the victim keeps doing the skill checks it will eventually go down, unless it receives help in time.
However one thing I would say probably would be needed, is that the last survivor should still be able to progress through the "find help" stage, but only if it's the last victim, where it will progress slower than normal. So that the last victim won't be completely depending on someone who isn't there.
Also, what I were suggesting of course were intended to work with what you already have suggested.
You're right, 60 seconds is quite some time, hence also why I suggested two different timers as, one is able to self-mend completely without help and the other will need help with the last part. However with that said, we may have to realize that a rework will be a lot easier and better in the long run.

Wait, when did Legion feel fair?The_Crusader said:
God forbid killers feel fair.Orion said:@The_Crusader said:
Because most 115 killers have to earn 2 hits on survivors by catching them off guard or outplaying them.Legion is fast and can vault palletz, his first hit is basically free. He can run around and injure people very fast. Some don't heal against him.
If he was 115 he would immediately be top tier.
And the idea of a top-tier Killer is apparently horrifying to some people. God forbid high ranks have some variety.

Like I said in a previous thread, Lockers should prevent you AND the killer from reading each other's auras. This would balance lockers and make them more of a way to hide from the killer instead of them being a free aura reading machine.Crythor said:Why do you ask? Well multiple reasons actually:
- If you use object of obsession and are in a locker you can see the killers aura but he cant see yours.
- This is rediculus from balance perspective and makes it even easier to hold the game hostage.
- It nerfs a lot of perks and addons that dont need any nerf at all.
- While some will argue for a BBQ nerf (which promotes camping) which i openly admitt i am against it not only nerfs BBQ but also Bitter Murmur, Vanity Mirror and Scratched Mirror addons from myers which clearly dont need any nerf as well as the All seeing addons from the wraith.
- It nerfs Freddys power
- A nerf for freddy is rediculus. The weakest killer in the game gets nerfed. Good move BHVR.
- Survivors dont need this buff.
- It will not only buff solo survivors but also swf which really dont need it. Instead you should have given them perks like bond for free so solo survivors are closer to swf groups stuff that bridges the gab between solo and swf but dosent increase the maximum potential.
Thx for reading.

This here, @RotBb I seen some of Tru3ta1ent's videos and he's using very rare add-ons to be viable (and the survivors haven't adapted yet so the add-ons might not be any good when they adapt). If he needs to use very rare add-ons to have a fair chance then something is really wrong. What makes me cry my heart out is that he says, "Legion is fine" when he is using those add-ons to be viable. Do you see the irony here?Tsulan said:A killer shouldn't be forced to use addons to be viable. If I have to farm 150k bloodpoints to get a few decent matches, then there's something considerably wrong.
There's a reason Billy and Nurse are top tier. Because they don't need addons to be decent.
Addons should change the playstyle. Like scratched mirror does on Myers. But they shouldn't be a must.
You should look at this thread where I go in-depth on how to make him better:
