I would have preferred if they just floated above whatever hair we have on, instead of the default hair of the character.
Same, it looks so weird on Oni.

Has everyone in here seriously not heard the term "iced out"? It's an old school hip-hop term, I figured most people knew it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I know what it means, but I never expected to see these words on a dbd forum post.

As survivor you actually have to play against those many different powers, which may alter the playstyle immensely.
also not being a pro looper kind of helps me because while I can have fun chases that may even last long enough, I am not in a position where the killer is no threat for me (and neither are my always changing teammates in solo q). If it was as terrible as the forums make it out to be, I wouldn’t ply either role. Ever.
I agree with most of what you said, but most of the time, I can't even face half the killers in the roster. Right now, all I see is Billy, spirit, huntress and pyramid head over and over.

Yeah but ops suggestion would remedy that
True, but I don't think any killer's power should rely on RNG, besides pig since she has a secondary ability.

I'm talking about most killer mains, when I say us.

I can see requiring the survivors to mend if they get themselves out, honing stone as base would be legit op.
OoO should be completely reworked.
I don't think honing stone as base would be OP. A survivor can get out of your trap in 1 try most of the time which is stupid.

I wished map offerings worked the other way around.
Instead of increasing the chance, it would decrease the chance of getting certain maps.
Exactly, every match now I get a sweaty SWF who burn haddonfield and ormond offerings. If map offering worked like you said they would, I'm going to burn Haddonfield offerings for days.

@caz_ said:
Yes he is a strong killer, his ability doesnt need a buff but the way they work.
this is my idea and opinion. 1. let him always start with 2 traps.
2.no random traps around the map.. instead you get your traps from lockers. that way he doesnt waste time going on the other side of the map to get a trap.
3.to balance that out he is just allowed to have 8 traps maximum around the map (can be increased with addons up to 10 -12 max)
4.the chance of escaping a trap = first attempt 3% chance, second one 5%, third one 8% and so on the more you try to get out the more the chances increases, you could also make it so that every survivor nearby increases the chance. it really sucks when survivors escape first try its really annoying.
just by these tweaks he would be so nice really.
Also, object of obsession shouldn't work against him and honing stone should be default, or even the bloody coil to punish people for disarming. Also, if anyone comes at me with "you can't punish the survivor for countering your ability", plague does the exact same thing, so I don't see why it doesn't work with trapper.

Claudette. The ninja playstyle is kind of fun. Meg is overrated and looks ugly, and it irritates me when people fetishise Meg.

Day after day we see a couple of new thread talking about how someone just had it with the game/playing killer, and is either, taking a break, or sticking to survivor.
Now, don't get me wrong. I understand there are plenty of stressful things when it comes to playing survivor as well.
I personally despise moris and NOED, as they do not reward skillful play by the killer.
We know the game's balance is kind of whack, and that the devs have no idea how to fix SwF vs solos skill gap, tunnelling, camping, map (yes, there are still some maps that need more work),
Yet, the majority of posts concerning frustration, comes from killers. I myself have taken two breaks from the game in the spam of one and half year ish (I joined a couple of months before plague)
And I've seen plenty of people talking about doing the same, taking breaks from playing killer or altogether.
A despite a plethora of "killer meltdown" posts, they seem to focus "mostly", on fixing things that are frustrating for survivors, all the while, neglecting the other side of the community. Looking at the doc, ruin, nurse (this one in particular) legion.
I know the game is not dying, and I'm glad for it. I love the game, and I believe most of us who are pretty vocal around do. I just think that this kind of stressful experience, having people quit, take breaks can't be healthy for any game.
Thus my question, are the devs proud of having people quitting/taking breaks every single week? Wouldn't it be better to sit down with the "whole" community and listen closely to feedback (frustrating outdated mechanics, items, strategies, balance). You know, trying to improve the lasting experience, not only for the average player like me, but also for the k plus hour vets, and specially, the new players?
TLDR: devs need to sit down with the community, and figure it out a way improve the experience for both parties, mostly killers, as they seem to be the ones quitting the game more frequently due to frustration.
I just starting taking a break again recently, after having 5 games in a row being gen rushed whilst running all of the game delay perks. I was also playing decently and consistently hooked, but when maps like Haddonfield and Ormond exist, along with map offerings I get stressed.

No one likes to feel smothered. Take a hint.
That's how survivors make us feel when they gen rush us to death, even if we use all of the game delay perks.

First things first. This is my opinion as someone who is Devotion 9 now. Been playing since 2017 and I've been red rank on both sides for pretty much the whole time.
I'm ranking these off a few things.
- The killer is using their best perks.
- The killer is using grey/no add-ons. This doesn't include extremely strong greys like huntress's exhaustion add-on.
- The survivor team is good. Not OP swf levels of good but they aren't babies.
- The killer is decent. Some of these killers need at least some skill in order to beat a good team.
The reason for these rules is just so you understand my mindset. Against babies (hello boosted red ranks) all these killers are S rank. I don't want really strong add-ons since they make killers like Leatherface, Pig, Doctor and Ghostface go much higher than they maybe should. This is also why I'm including perks since killers like Leatherface, Myers, Trapper and many more are dependent on perks. Having no perks would also make Pig go up a few ranks due to her built in slowdown ability.
Now for the actual tier list.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/6A5DWBC3OMWG/my-image.png
If you have any questions as to why certain killers are in certain spots then feel free to ask. This discussion is already too long so I don't want to explain why each killer is their spot.
I don't get how huntress and leatherface are above Oni. I saw your points as to why Bubba is so high, but Oni can get rid of pallets quickly, has massive snowball potential and can end chases fast, he does all of this better than leatherface, and Oni has map pressure on top of it. Huntress is only really amazing with iridescent head and the belt, but she has no map pressure at all.

Personally its not as fun as killer, but playing survivor is a lot less stressful. each side has upsides and downsides. While killer is more exiting and entertaining is is quite stressful. At the same time survivor is not as action packed as killer is but is less stressful than killer is.
yeah, the only times I play survivor are when I'm stressed as killer, or for archive challenges.

Hows killer fun?
You just chase survivors and kick gens
Everything sounds bad when you over simplify it...
I enjoy survivor cause i enjoy playing in a team
The thing that makes killer kind of fun, is that there are a lot of different powers for the killers and playstyles, while all survivors are the same. Maybe since I solo queue I don't have as much fun.

Yeah, but running the killer is also extremely uninteractive unless you are at a jungle gym, which a lot of maps don't have.

Yui wins ugly, she's beyond hideous. They literally made her look like a biological man with that overextended jaw and her voice is just EUGH. Barf. Meg is pretty ugly too, prior to Yui she'd be my #1.
Prettiest probably goes to Kate. She's a cute country girl and has super cute and interchangeable cosmetics too. I think Jane is pretty too, she arguably has the best outfits in the game.
Your thoughts?
Ugliest goes to Nea and Meg. Nea is self explanatory and I just think Meg looks overrated. Prettiest goes to Kate, she seems like a nice person, and her hair looks great!

@CronaWins said:
Yeah, i would like some clarification as well.
Quote from Dev's patch notes "We have moved away from exclusive items in recent years and want to continue the trend of making cosmetics available to everyone equally".
They gave away my event items for free that i earned, so it's only fair to everyone that they do the same with these.
That said, cosmetics on the battlepass are locked behind a paywall and are only available for a limited time. Would also like to know if i can purchase sets after.
But highly doubt they will give us an answer and just do what they want while giving poor excuses afterwards.
Actually, all of the archives cosmetics release in the store 6 months after release and only charms stay exclusive.

the amount of triggered killer mains ion this post is both disappointing and amusing, camping and tunnelling is a legitimate strategy sure but why should killers be rewarded for such a scummy strategy that sucks almost all fun from the game, if you camp and tunnel then don't complain when survivors use bt, ds, keys, deliverance, unbreakable and adrenaline
Fun is subjective ;).

Toxic survivors are usually more vocal I think or do the teabagging and flashlighting bit...
or maybe you mean they kill themselves off first hook or let themselves get caught...
Toxic killers is a bit different because it's understood but not "defined" (I.E. camping, tunneling, slugging, etc etc) However I have also had killers go off on me in chat after the game lol..
So which do you see more? Why?
Toxic survivors. It's really hard to be toxic as killer, and I mean REALLY. Toxic killers do stuff like nodding their head repeatedly or watching the last guy die on the floor, even if you're next to the hook. I see more survivors do stuff like, t bag flashlight click and ######### talk in the end game chat than killers.

@Semimatic said:
Not saying it's a bad thing, I'd be personally fine with the addition. But is there a specific reason why it's been specifically getting a lot of attention?
It's because we got a chapter from another game (silent hill), so people want fnaf in the game, which wouldn't fit at all.

Yeah, I don't tunnel but DS still pisses me off, because even when I don't tunnel, they strike me, it just annoys me but doesn't prevent me from winning.

Pallets and loops can be played around though, rarely is it a good idea to respect a pallet. If you get a survivor who drops every pallet in your face great, that's a gift. Chase even a good looper into a place without pallets and you should get that down. If you lose two gens but eat 10 pallets in the trade the mid to late game just got a whole lot easier.
I'm not great at shutting down loops either but I'm getting better and eating pallets is just the ticket to killing loopers. Also dead hard when used well like any perk can decide the length of a chase, most people mistime it though, DH into a wall, or flag it by running back into my face making for free easy hits. I'll take a DH survivor over a sprint burst/balanced landing/lithe survivor.
The only thing I would change about loops, is make some of them more interactive. Make it so survivors can't see over most loops so killers can at least mindgame.

I completely agree with you, she doesnt have the skill gap that nurse has, anyone can be good at her.
All spirits that have a working headset all play the same. She has no skill cap, and barely any counterplay either. Pig is cool though I love pig.
-
Spirit. ######### spirit. Are you telling me that you can master the best killer in the game only by using headphones? A high tier killer should take skill to play. Also, she is stupidly unfun to play against, because of how hard it is to hear her.

Not for dbd. Dbd console and dbd pc aren't that different. PC gets stretched res and more fps. Let's not argue about this, since it is very stupid and immature.

Since the Anniversary event is live(happy 4th year guys and gals) how about we share some of the best memories Dead by Daylight as given us? I'll begin.
I managed to escape a Pig player who tunneled me for the entire game. And pulled off an Epic 360 right by the gates. Not the best ik but back then I was scared [BAD WORD] of the killer, so I was screaming for a solid 80% of thd chase.
Let's hear em folks, don't be shy.
Destroying a toxic 4 man SWF with a haddonfield map offering and 4 flashlights and DS. I used blood warden, and the end game collapse was 10 seconds before killing them all, so I sat there nodding at them until all 4 of them died.
