a 4k should be an instant double pip.

Then a survival is an instant double pip as well?

Sure, if the survivor survives, they should be rewarded.

I feel like their will be multiple, let's say, posts around the map to collect these from. I doubt it will be limited to one because that alone would create disconnects from people upset they could get it first.

Also I disapprove of "the king" as a trusted source for dbd information.

Why? He is a fog whisperer and he just reacted to the exclusive trailer that he was allowed to watch, showed his audience and gave his feedback. What's wrong with him when it comes to news?

    Hag.

But some people would say it's actually complaining ;)

Nah mate, you're a great hag main, I watch your streams ;).

  • @pseudechis said:

Hag, I don't need to chase you, just bide my time, you'll trip a trap and be mine.

Set up killers are like a chess game I really enjoy hag and trapper. Its satisfying to herd a survivor, watch the sprint burst/DH/Balance/lithe and bam straight into a trap 1 sec later.

When I'm lazy I main doc, sure he's not the greatest chaser but boy can I find people and slow the game down.

With these guys I always end up pipping into a weight class above my experience and have to play someone else for a bit to basically practice them while I de-rank into non sweaty range.

What you said about trap killers feeling like a set up is very well spoke, that's how I think of them and that's why I love them. It feels so satisfying having the results of your setup playing out well. Hag is an amazing killer, probably the best killer in the game (yes better) than nurse. I learned about how amazing hag is from spacecoconut himself!

I basically just play the stalking boys. If I want to be a insta down snowballing powerhouse that can end the game before it even really starts I play Myers. If I want to play a more average game I play hit and run Ghostie. Plus Ghostie will always get me more points and pips. Myers just isn’t good for pips or bp lol

I like the idea of Oni. He seems like a bit of a mix between Myers and Billy. Slow start with a great insta down but also has amazing map pressure.

Yeah, the stalky boys are some of my favourites as well, it makes the game actually feel like a slasher as well.

Bruh are you even listening? How can he run calm spirit and still get his ds/in/dh/adrinawin? Obviously Doc is just unbalanced and needs a nerf. Jeez.

You forgot the good ol' DS and head on.

I really wanna discuss this, as I think there is no such thing as genrushing. But i wanna hear other opinions as well.

As survivor the only objective is to do gens. So what am I supposed to do if I am not getting chased? Totems? Yes or I risk getting hit by NOED, but I cannot complain afterwards then. Chests? Maybe running around healing others?

What is your take on genrushing?

It isn't your fault for focusing on generators, saves and healing only. It's basically your only objective, and the speeds need changes, which are coming soon.

Lol yeah, bad word. No, your mistake was defending the horse sh*t play. It may be effective but it is cheating. Idc what you say, it is. The people who agree with it are people who play like that and can't get kills otherwise. So you can take your "bad word" and go away.

Why did you post this, if you are going to gatekeep your opinion. What is "horse" play is subjective, and you think that your opinion is facts from how you are saying this. Move along now.

  • @Misann0830 said:

It was an issue before, but it seems that, especially in the last week or so, it has gotten way out of hand. I main survivor but I play as a killer, too and no matter what, I try to play fair. Camping and tunneling isn't playing fair at all. In fact, I see it as cheating. If you cannot get sacrifices without playing fairly, then you shouldn't be playing at all. I've been saving screen shots and gameplay of anyone using these tactics and I'm seriously considering putting everyone on blast.

Anyone trying to defend these tactics is just as guilty. I don't care what you say, it's unfair and uncalled for.

Cry me a river. Camping and tunneling are built into the game and aren't considered cheating. Just because you have a survivors rulebook doesn't mean we have to abide by our rules. Camping might be a bit scummy, and tunneling for no reason is something I consider a bit scummy as well, but I would never consider it cheating. If you don't want killers to tunnel, than you should take a hit maybe :). I don't give a flying Frank Zappa if you consider me "guilty" for defending tactics, that yes, might be boring but are naturally built into the game.

  • Survivors called me dumb and mean and tunneler for snowballing the entire team with Oni, and downing them all at once.

  • Most underrated killer in the game, even more so than legion. The plague Is like a dilemma. If you don't cleanse, you will stay injured. If you do, she has one of the most powerful abilities in the game, and will end a chase quickly. Not to mention how amazing her add-ons are, like the apples.

  • My unstoppable Oni setup goes like this: Infectious for snowballing. Corrupt for easy gen pressure. Pop for regressing gens. Finally, barbecue for knowing the locations of people to use blood fury on, and double BP. Add-ons are scalped topknot for quick demon dash, and lion fang for a longer blood fury.

  • Yeah, as an Oni main, it sucks. When I have my power ready, I can't use it until I hit someone sometimes.

I was waiting for this comment. I knew it was coming at some point.

If you hate him so much, you should run it, as it negates his static blast.

  • I would rather have this in the game than the actual perk. EDIT: If I was going to give one perk to give to killers by default, it would be deerstalker, since the last survivor on the ground always annoys me, since I can't find them.

Anything to do with the game in general or something specific. What’s something you feel great or hate about Dead by Daylight that others might not agree with you on? I don’t have any major unpopular opinions, however people hate me for saying Hawkins is my favourite map, so go figure.

Old Freddy was fine as he was, with his class photo and pill box add-ons, he was an S tier killer and never needed the changes, and people only wanted him buffed or reworked, because they lacked understanding for his kit and how it's supposed to be used, it would be like putting Oni in D tier and not knowing that snowballing was great on him. New Freddy is just boring.

I’m also down for Jonathon or Hopper, maybe Nancy could have legendarys for Joyce and Robin.

Jonathon looks too similar to Quentin in my opinion, Joyce and Hopper would be cool though.

  • I want more Oni cosmetics, since he's my main. I would also like to see a halloween 2018 Michael, and a 2000s leatherface cosmetic. A scp-096 reskin of demogorgon would look pretty nice as well. A legendary skin for Steve that turns him into Robin. A deathslinger skin that turns him into Roland from the dark tower series. Finally, a kuchisake onna skin for spirit.

Why? Why on earth do you kill your team by doing that? I just had a Dwight single-handedly lose us an easy game because he kept cleansing. This Plague literally had her ability all game and could end chases in about 20 seconds. He killed another Dwight by cleansing in one spot, and killed me by cleansing in various different spots around the map.

Why on earth do you guys like to cleanse? If there's actually a good reason I might start doing it. But if you guys literally do it to get OnE eXtRa HeAlTh StAtE I will never understand.

Those players who bodyblock Oni as well are the worst. They will just give him his power more.

So what joy do you geniuenly get out of ruining someone elses play time? I say this coming from at least 10 games in a row of toxic killers and survivors non stop tunneling, flashlight clicking, tea bagging, first hook moris. Like seriously what about taking someone trying to have fun and ruining any fun that they will have is good to you? I genuinely don't understand it.

Tunneling, and moris are all built into the game, meaning using a perk or offering or playing a certain way isn't toxic from my point of view. I find those things annoying, but not toxic. However hitting on hook, flashlight clicking and t-bagging are just there for people to ruin eachothers game experiences.

Imagine this in an endgame situation: DS+Unbreakable+Soul Guard+Dead Hard

    Youre literally invincible

And the so called DS "nerf" was a major BUFF to the perk. Change my mind

In my opinion, it was WAY worse before, since it didn't have a timer and juggling wouldn't work if someone body blocked or sabotaged.

  • @indieeden7 said:

    Hello there,

I'm making this post to encourage a discussion and / or a civilised debate regarding the balance surrounding survivors' "second chance" perks (perks such as DS, Unbreakable, BT, etc.). It is my personal belief that although using multiple of these perks can give survivors a large advantage, stopping or slowing down a killer's momentum is one of the most effective and reliable ways to gain an advantage in the match especially when a killer is running perks to increase their momentum such as PGTW or BBQ. Overall however, I would understand if a few of these perks were tweaked in some way to make them more balanced.

Please leave any comments you have below, I think it would be a good idea for the community to talk about this in a civil manner rather than trying to talk down to or insult someone with a different viewpoint to them.

I'm fine with DS, I find it to be straight up unfair if I don't tunnel them and they still DS me though. I also don't think a survivor should be rewarded for getting hooked like with DS. I think they should make DS like inner strength, where you have to cleanse a totem for it to work. I don't find any of those killer perks to be op though, as they are very easily countered. Repressed alliance counter pop, BBQ is countered by going into lockers as well, and rewards the killer for doing something right (hooking).

  • @acampingdocter said:

There are thousands of murderous scps but some might fit in dead by daylight Also don't worry about them being op in the game just who would the entity pick

SCP-096 would be the most iconic SCP of all of them, and would perfectly fit into this game with his design.

  • @YaiPa said:

heh, there's a big tournament ready to start, during the testing both billy and One were the few killers that managed to 4k. One is sure stronger, but needs build up and against top tier survivors you won't get M1 hits so easily.

    Which tournament?

  • @Always_available said:

I dont think so. It takes time for Oni to collect his orbs and he cant use his power for that long. Also he is countered by steep turns.

A good oni can navigate those turns well, and won't let a survivor get away. Also, once you injure a bunch of people, you can use your power non stop if you remember where the blood orbs are.

  • I prefer hotsauce, I use hotsauce with almost everything I eat, but I guess ranch is the second best thing.

To me, most console players seem spoiled. The ones who weren't there from the start on PC don't know how bad it used to be.

    • Entity never blocked abused windows
    • There were 2x-3x more windows and pallets
    • The killer shack had 2 windows and 1 door
    • The bus had both windows open
    • The car shop had 3 windows side by side
    • The Nurse moved at 115% movement speed
    • Unrelenting affected both missed and succesful attacks, and stacked with Save the Best for Last
    • Moonlight offerings made the match extremely dark (you think Blendette now is bad..?)
    • Map offerings came in different rarities and none of them were 100% chance of working
    • The Bloodweb only gave 1 perk per level
    • The Bloodweb animation took way longer and it took ages to spend Bloodpoints
    • The only clothing options were base and Prestige
    • Exhaustion recovered while sprinting
    • There was only one spot that Survivors could unhook from, and Killers could there to completely prevent unhooking (the OG "Face Camp")
    • Sabotaged hooks remained broken for the entire match, as did the Trapper's traps
    • More, I'm sure, but cannot remember right now...

.As a PS4 player, I feel offended. EDIT: Also moonlight offering were in the game for ps4 players. Exhaustion recovered while sprinting for us as well. Same with the bloodweb changes. And that's about it.

  • @Brightened said:

I personally feel exhausted to the near point of DCing the second I realize I get a doctor.

(FYI, yes I have played the doctor, and yes I played before the doctor changes)

The doctor, on top of frequently getting his iridescent add-ons, is just an exhausting person to go against.

He can: Shock to find out where you are, shock to stop you from vaulting or throwing pallets, give you reverse and out of place skill checks, give you the inability to heal teammates before snapping out of it, can shock to interrupt totem cleansing or any of those short of actions, can make you see fake pallets, can make you see clones of himself (Which with an add-on, he can see), and when you're madness level is high, you occasionally scream also, which reveals your location.

Now... Lets take all of that and put it on top of the meta perks (barb, nurses, surveillance, discordance, etc etc etc) how the hell are you supposed to play against him and still go "This is a fun game!"

Meanwhile, the trapper can just put down some traps and the demogorgan can just jump.

I don't get itttttttttttttttt~ it's not fun to play against... it's not fun to play because it feels unfair... I just don't get it. BUT HEY, I'm a salty survivor main :)

    Just run calm spirit, lol.

    Overview

"Pennywise" is a new killer concept from the twisted mind of Stephen King, writer of the book "IT". The Idea for Pennywise is to bring confusion and to scatter the survivors.. Pennywise's perks ( You'll Float Too, Smell The Circus and Hex: Fear Itself) Put major pressure on the survivors to succeed or Pay the ultimate price..

    Difficulty Rating: Medium

    Lore

In the year 1960 in a little town in Maine called Derry.. Out on a rainy dark day George "Georgie" Denbrough went missing.. along with many other little children. Bill the brother of George lives with regret, blaming himself for not going to watch George's boat float with him and for his disappearance.. Together Bill and his 6 other friends "The Losers Club" catch on that a demon that poses as a child killing clown is behind the disappearances.. After fighting Pennywise and defeating him the club thinks it all over, little did they know Pennywise returns every 27 years to feast again.

Thirty years later the group reunites and defeats Pennywise once and for all, losing members of the group in the process. Pennywise was defeated and not to been heard of again..

Another 27 years pass and still nothing.. Until the survivors of the fog saw a red balloon floating toward the campfire then POP!. .. Not to mention in the fog.. time is irrelevant.. 27 years.. is every day.

Pennywise's power is called "Your Deepest Fear"

When holding the Secondary Power Button, Pennywise morphs his shape to appear as a survivor not being used in the match, at the start of the match.. He emits no terror radius and walks the same speed as normal survivors but runs 5% slower..

Ballons: Pennywise places balloons on generators.. when a generator pops, so does the ballon, splashing blood on the survivor and causing the mangled effect for 15 seconds.

While shapeshifted Pennywise can work on generators (adding no progression as well as healing).. Pennywise can also see the auras of all survivors within a 27 meter range. When he leaves a generator or stops healing the progress will disappear after 5 seconds..

Pennywise can morph to his clown appearance at any time granting back his 5% speed. Pennywise automatically shapeshifts into the survivor who has been hooked. You do not see on your HUD when a survivor has been hooked... You only hear it.

    You'll Float Too: LVL 30

    • Tier 1: Uncommon
    • Tier 2: Rare
    • Tier 3: Very Rare

Your prescence alone brings fear and confusion to the survivors.. For every 7 seconds a survivor stares at you they slowly begin to fade in and out losing their vision.. This is a new status effect (Blackout) and lasts 1/3/5 seconds.. (See The New Status Effect Blackout Section!)

    Smell The Circus: LVL 35

    Tier 1: Rare

    Tier 2: Very Rare

    Tier 3: Very Rare

Fear of letting anyone escape engulfs you..while also giving the survivors false hope.. When a survivor steps within 10 meters of a marked generator, Smell The Circus activates, this causes the generator to be filled with a false 10% of Generator repair progress.. any survivor who touches this gen suffers the (Blackout) status effect... until the generator is completed.. once the generator is finished with it's false progress (100%).. It pops giving a visual alert to the killer also setting the gen to it's true (90%). 1/2/3 generators can be marked and applied with Smell the Circus.

    Hex: Fear Itself: LVL 40

    Tier 1: Rare

    Tier 2: Very Rare

    Tier 3: Very Rare

If a survivor is working on a generator the repair progress bar is hidden for.. 50/75/100% Generator completion.. And hitting a skill check grants no additional progress on the generator. This lasts until the Hex Totem is Destroyed. For every Totem destroyed before the Hex Totem Survivors suffer the Blackout effect for 20 seconds.

    The New Status Effect (Blackout)

The New status effect Blackout, causes survivors to fade in and out and lose vision briefly..

Here is a Preview Image of what the new status effect (Blackout) Looks like through the eyes of the survivors..

(I envision this in game looking like LEGION coming out of Feral Frenzy and then the screen fading out anywhere from 2-6 seconds)

Love how much effort there is put into this. I would love a Stephen King chapter. I would prefer having the dark tower's the crimson king, who is a relative of pennywise, you should read the tower books. I love how you made your own icon for his power as well, so much attention to detail.

Yes,I know it was in the Shrine. I can't believe how many people are using it now. I know it's a good perk, and I know some streamers use it,lol. Just kinda sucks. I wonder why it never caught on before? Sorta makes a few strategies obsolete. You have to play way safer I suppose. I use it on my killers too,so I'm not really knocking anyone for using it. Just wondering if people are seeing the same thing. They finally decide to give away a good perk in the Shrine, and it just has to be this one lol. The last really really good one I remember was Adrenaline, and I'm pretty sure that was at least two years ago.

Nurses is very overrated, people say it works on every killer, but try and get value out of it with a standard, normal terror radius killer. Healing isn't meta anymore either, and I see more people with inner strength these days.

  • @Nutty_Professor said:

Whilst the map has only just been released, in my opinion this new map is even more killer sided than Hawkins. At least Hawkins has good loop potential.

The look of the Silent Hill map is great, however the map layout isn't great. So far it doesn't seem to have much looping potential, which consists with it being easy to patrol as killer.

I just had a game against a strong survivor team (all the survivors were individually good at the game), yet I won with four generators remaining. I probably would have lost to that team on a different team map.

I play both sides (at rank 1), I'm neither a survivor main or a killer main. I've actually played more killer then survivor since this update.

Only killers that are good on this map are stealth killers and hag. It is ridiculously hard for killers to pressure generators, because of how little entrances to the top floor there is. Not every map has to have insane loops to be good.

  • @dhealy646 said:

Nah mate. Maybe for stealth killers and spirit or something. But try play oni. Can't maneuver or snowball due to all the floors and walls. Nurse loses you easily. Billy can't zoom around. Huntress and deathslinger can't get good Los. Not good for some killers but good for others. As a survivor I found it relatively easy to loop. Most pallets were medium safety which actually made me have to think while looping with the occasional god pallet and safe window. I haven't lost a match on it as survivor or killer yet.

Yeah, as an Oni main, he sucks on the new map.

  • @Desh said:

Can people stop starting their post with "Lets Argue". It just makes me not want to read the post. Spine Chill is a meta perk perk so I've no idea what you're talking about. It's highly used amongst red ranks in PC.

What's wrong with a simple tag? Sure it isn't unpopular at all, but I don't see what is wrong with "let's argue". I use that tag to engage with the community on what they think of a certain topic like "let's argue: overrated/underrated perks" for example.

  • @yikers said:

Yes imo this is the worst state of the game its been in a long time.

If u havent watched scott jund latest vid on why he is stopping playing killer you should but tldr; survivor sounds are really bugged right now, like its really really bad.

The dlc perks are all but useless or has too big drawbacks or are way too niche to even get used in a match.

The dlc map is a disaster, easily the worst map in the game with what seems to be no thinking involved in how it would play out, do they even test thise things before releasing ? Did they just not listen ?

PH is just another killer with ability to fake zone survivors, 3rd now i think they made? exciting stuff...

And then theres the previous bugs from other patches still not fixed with sounds n such.

oh at least we got more expensive skins to buy right ?

Haddonfield still takes the cake for the worst map in my opinion, but Midwich is the second worst now, even beating Ormond. This is the worst patch in a longtime, solely for the bugs and the map.

You don't need Stridor if you listen for footsteps tbh. Saves me a perk slot.

Yeah, but most tryhard spirit mains run it, just for the cherry on top.

  • @SpaceCoconut said:

    What does that mean exactly?

I imagine that they say it's boring when they can't bully the killer due to either the strength of the killer or the skill of the player, but I'm not sure.

    Thoughts?

I'm a killer main, but I find some killers boring to play against, and not in the sense that I can't loop them for days. Spirit is just so annoying to play against for how braindead she is to master and how uninteractive she is. Hillbilly is one of them as well, because most Billy's I get are absolute trash, they don't even M1, they use chainsaw when it isn't necessary and I never get downed because of it.

  • @NursesBootie said:

I'm rating nurse lower than spirit for some time now. She's just way easier to master than nurse.
