  • Why not? It was in the trailer, it would be cool.

  • Freddy and Mikey got me into the game, it is actually pretty cool to be able to play your favourite slasher. We get a lot of original content that is great as well!

  • Most killers are great and viable in the game! Including legion in my opinion. But clown, bubba, and Myers need changes. Clown and Bubba are for obvious reasons, but Mikey's power seems very outdated now and needs some changes, he isn't weak, he just needs changes.

  • @Noire said:

I've seen the reception to him being very split. Many say he's op and need to be nerfed to the ground while others say he's weak and needs quite a few buffs.

What side are you guys on or do you think he's relatively fine the way he is now.

The one thing that would make him better. You can't move left and right whilst using your power and you need to move forward to navigate, let him move left and right without having to go forward. Also let bbq work.

I remember being a freshman in high school and bunny feng min being shown haha wow that was like 3 years ago :o

I remember that concept way back as well, time flies, I like the skin actually, it's just when I play against a bunny Feng, I don't know what to feel, anxious, relaxed or whatever.

  • It's just a feeling that I get. They can be 3 things. 1: A very nice and fair survivor. 2: A bad player. Or 3: A sweaty tryhard with stretched resolution. Something about the cosmetic just irks me.

  • @Dr_Loomis said:

They're being punished for paying for it. Some are disgusted with the expensive price for the skin and are in turn making life difficult for anyone who dares purchase and equip it. It's not a good situation.

Although admittedly I tend to taste blood in my mouth when I see a Bunny Feng.

Yeah, I sometimes get a distaste in my mouth when I see a pink haired Nea named "toxicnea" or "toxicnoob3cutie" or a bunny Feng, but I won't camp or tunnel them for that.

I've seen quite a few people being upset about linked cosmetics.Especially about Lisa Garland.

It seems like many people expected her to be a bit more than just a skin. Some expected a different voice, different animation or maybe a bit lore to her regarding the price.

Considering we never had any of those problems with the skins for other licensed characters,it might be possible that Konami didn't allow things like extra lore, voice acting and animations.

Another thing we have to keep in mind is that Lisa was probably another license that had to be bought first.Which is why the price is so high for that skin, they probably get something like 2 thirds and Konami the other third of the money they get with selling this skin.

Even if the devs were allowed to do animations, lore and voice acting for Lisa then the price would be probably even higher because of the amount of extra work they would have to do.

It also doesn't really feel like false advertising because one could clearly see that Lisa IS just a skin for Cheryl in their latest trailer.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/G24O6KQNCIRA/screenshot-20200617-164247.png

So in the end i would advise all of you to be patient and wait for a response from the devs, before calling them lazy, greedy etc.

I love the legendary skins! I don't play survivor much, but I bought the bunny legion cosmetic, and it's amazing! We should at least be able to pick our own weapons legion though.

So I had a game, which wasnt exactly fun, but for reasons I'd say are 100% toxic behaviour and IMO would fall under keeping a game hostage, but I'd want more input.

So trying to put any bias aside, let me lay down the situation:

He found me early on in the match, because I made a mistake of not being properly hidden and he could bodyblock me for an instadown(billy), fine, bit of an annoying start to the match, but I've had worse. He hooks me in the oh-so lucky nearby basement in a deadzone, yippie, also not exactly the best case, but again, had worse. Proxy-camps, not exactly the nicest thing to do, but yknow, thats how it be sometimes. So it already takes practically a full hookstage before I finally can get saved Once I finally do get unhooked, he comes in bodyblocking the stairs, not for my savior, but for me, waiting for a possible BT to be gone, and slugs me. Then he starts keeping me slugged, everytime he sees someone close to me, he goes off after them, but always returns once they are far enough away. After roughly 2 minutes, he picks me up and hooks me again, at this point, we're 4 minutes in game, where I've only been able to actually do anything for at best 30 seconds. This time I had the "luck" that someone instantly unhooked me with BT(I would have suicided otherwise, so it wasnt exactly a favor), and ofcourse he instantly hits me, but at least I got out right? Nope, he just tunnels me specifically, just to slug me again, and then just starts proxy-camping me while slugged, so everytime he sees someone to pick me up, he comes back instantly and downs me again. Once I am almost bled out, he comes again and picks me up to finally hook me. Total match time: 6,5 minutes, total actual play time, 1 minute 33 seconds(including those 2 moments where I could try to run away for 1-2 seconds)

Yet he claimed he wasnt keeping me hostage because I could bleed out, but then what would be considered keeping the game hostage? Because if you bodyblock someone in the corner of the map, you essentially do the exact same thing and the excuse of "the EGC has a timer" could be applied there too. He singled me out and kept preventing me from actually playing the game. I could have kinda understood if I had been a very slippery target that constantly blinded him, I could have kinda understood being slugged if it was my final hook and letting other survivors save you to be sportsmanlike. Obviously, back in the day, I would have just DC'd instead, but since that no longer is an option without recieving a penalty, I rather wait 3 minutes than 5 minutes.

It's one thing to have tunnel, but at least tunnelers will deadhook you if they are given the chance. And before you claim "DS", no, there was not a single obsession in the game, it was literally impossible to have a DS. Besides, in the meantime he hooked someone else too(which was one of the moments someone could pick me up and I could run away for 1-2 seconds) and after downing me, could down him again and then he didnt wait for a potential DS to pick him up.

And for those who still dont think that this can be considered keeping a game hostage, then what would you consider keeping the game hostage? Because I have never encountered something as bad as this since pre-EGC.

EDIT: I typed this while still a bit disgruntled and misremembered the dying state timelimit, which I for some reason assumed was 2 minutes, so I edited the times. The 1,5 minutes is obviously not actual time, it might have been shorter, it might have been slightly longer, but considering the gen I was working on since the start of the game was about 30 seconds in and he searched the surrounding rooms for what felt like a whole minute and due to a lack of exhaustion perk and being on the new map, I didnt exactly know my options of escape, hence the times. Just for clarification.

Holding the game hostage would be the game never ending, you can bleed out in 4 minutes which means the game will end. An example of holding the game hostage is cornering the survivor and blocking them from getting out.

  • @FlamingkittyUmad said:

A lot of people will be in denial over this because of how much they rely on it, but this perk in it's current form is not healthy for the game. Hooking a survivor already cripples the team, the limitless gen regression makes it way too easy to snowball. Imagine if survivors got a free BNP any time they pallet stun the killer? Yeah..

What the perk really needs is a cooldown OR restrict how many times it can be used on one gen consecutively (less reduction after every use on one specific gen maybe)

Dude, it isn't as unhealthy as ruin, because it is more consistent and it isn't even a huge regression. You do realise how fast generators go in the game right? Do you want to take away the best counter to it, which isn't even op. Also, I know you were the guy who suggested old Freddy needed a nerf, so I don't think you are being serious.

    Platform: PC

Description of the issue: While playing as Oni today, during the match I was unable to activate Blood Fury after already having been able to. You can see in my provided YouTube video that I was pressing the button prompt, which briefly disappears then reappears but did not activate the ability. Hooking a survivor re-enabled my option to enter Blood Fury.

Steps to reproduce (if possible): Try playing Oni and see if Blood Fury doesn't activate.

How often does this occur: First time for me.

    Video evidence: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gk44E7HqMp0

Yeah, this happened to me today as well, I was only able to activate it after hitting a survivor.

  • @CaptainNapkin said:

The new killer, being The Executioner, is a pretty fun killer when put on paper, but when put into practice, is absolutely pure chaotic evil. The killer's "Cage of Atonement" allows it to bypass Decisive Strike and Borrowed Time, though, at the expense of not being able to use Barbecue and Chili or Pop Goes The Weasel.

Usually, one of these Killers will immediately book it to the Cage once a survivor is in it, making it incredibly difficult to make a safe save unless the cage spawns directly next to a nearby survivor or the Killer paths poorly. This makes the game boring for the survivors involved as the savior is usually not chased, while the uncaged person is being chased so that Decisive can be ignored.

The reason behind this may be because some the Devs want survivors to use different perks besides the current Meta Perks to change the game a bit, but I want to see opinions.

Should Pyramid Head be changed to better suit non-tunneling playstyles or other playstyles, or should he stay the same?

Pyramid head is extremely weak, his ranged attack is very situational and can be easily dodged, it is VERY easy to avoid the torment and the cages can be bad for the killer since it is very hard to pressure the caged survivor. I guess survivors are so used to having second chances that they can't take this L or learn how to actually counter him.

  • @Aziux said:

Hey everyone, I've been playing against Pyramid head on the PTB and on the live servers and i find him unrewarding to play against for a few reasons, most are bloodpoint related and I hope that a insightful discussion can come of this.

    Lack of Alturism points,

The main issue of why he is unrewarding to play against is the cages that's the general concencus of this discussion. Most alturism points come from hook rescues (not all granted but healing doesn't actually give you a massive amount) so whenever someone gets sent to the cage survivors lose out on 1500 alturism points (if hook save if safe) in compensation for 550 boldness points..? You can get that much boldness points for getting near him and walking away again it's so unrewarding in that regard to play against him because Alturism points are a big amount of the survivors "paycheck" if you would. Hopefully I explained that well

    We're gonna live forever tokens

Another problem is that we're gonna live forever tokens are very scarce with him, you don't get one for saving a teammate from a cage where as you would get one for a safe hook rescue if someone was hooked. This makes the perk quite unrewarding in itself to bring since bringing it is a "risk" to begin with I use them quotation marks lightly so I don't offend anyone's eyeballs because you can do just fine with 3 working perks. To have that risk pay off even less then it already is seems quite unrewarding and unfair to those who bring tokens.

Additionally, if you try to take a protection hit and he uses his ranged attack it doesn't give you a token, making it EVEN HARDER to get tokens.

Another thing I noticed it's more down to how people play him is that it's really hard to get pallet stuns since most of them just respect pallets and wait for the drop so they can get a ranged attack, not really a big deal there's other ways to get your boldness points but it was worth mentioning.

Obviously these things are null and void if your teammates avoid the trenches he leaves on the floor of if he chooses to alternatively to hook instead but even if he uses the cage 3 times it's still a net loss for bloodpoints for survivors who if we are being fair here struggle to get as much points as killers in a gamee.

On the flipside even playing AS pyramid head can be unrewarding due to things like BBQ tokens (unless you hook first obviously) lack of sacrifice points because you get deviousness points from sending people to cages (unless this was changed) and the lack of points you get from using ranged attack.

I know that there's gonna be people who say something like PlAyInG tHe GaMe Is tHe RewArD, if you wanna look at it like that sure but this is more of a general look at bloodpoint potential from your average killer to pyramid head himself.

Let me know your thoughts guys and thanks for reading, take care.

As someone who was excited to play PH, I am extremely disappointed with him, and he is very unfun to play as. On PS4, when you use your trail, your sensitivity changes and you can't move from left to right, you can only hold forward and it is so annoying.

  • @UberSolus said:

Keep seeing so many people being upset in different ways but I'm just grateful we actually managed to get Silent Hill in DBD. Never thought that I'd see it happen and am so grateful to the devs and Konami. So many people are annoyed about the locked cosmetics but it was clearly a needed part of the license otherwise the devs wouldn't have done it.

I'm glad as well, it's just PH is so unrewarding to play as, his add-ons are trash, and his perks are bad. But I love the cosmetics and the map, and still like PH.

I know it’s only been a day so I’m already ready for some salt but In my opinion I think Pyramid Head needs a nerf even though half the posts on here are asking for buffs. I’m specifically speaking of his power of sending survivors to cages. His cage doesn’t count as a hook but it’s considered a hook stage, so with that being said no perks will work you get out of the cage such as DS, borrowed time. I’ve already went against a few pyramid heads that instantly run to the cage so that way they can down and hook the survivor who just got unhooked from the cage. What’s the fun in that? I’ve already seen a post on here that said he can actually stand right in front caged survivor and it won’t give the option for anyone else to unhook and I actually hope that’s a bug and not intended. Don’t get me wrong I actually love his ranged attack but the whole cage thing is ridiculous. People say you can dodge the trails by crouching over them but he can leave trails around a loop or a tile during a chase so it will be difficult to avoid it. I just hope the devs look into this and see how unfair it can be if you get a Pyramid Head that wants to play like a jerk for no reason.

You do realise that PH won't work well with pretty much any of the meta perks on killer as well. I guess survivors are so used to second chance perks that when a killer counters it, they can't play.

Im not to sure about preformance issues as i have a above average pc, but i can attest to alot of players feeling a very locked in and hard to navigate vibe. lots of people don't think its poorly designed though, just hard to navigate with long walls. mind elaborating on the safe window part? haven't tried huntress on it so can't attest to that, but seems wondeful for deathslinger, if a big again difficult to cross in some places.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1357335#Comment_1357335

i don't believe many people are utilizing the torment/cage effect to its full potential though. imo/my experience, i usually get them all tormented and leave that effect on them until their second hook, or when there on death hook to save on travel time through the instant mori/denying perks like DS and unbreakable. its more a counter to playstyles then an objective tool. i personally find him more rewarding due to his difficulty and feel that he could become amazing with stealth builds (a le tinkerer) and getting really good with getting behind walls shots. he has a lot of area denial in his kit too which pleases me, as theres not a lot of that outside of trap based killers, like plague has a lil bit with her infection, but most people remain infected for the most part so that quickly becomes irrelevant when there already infected.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1357351#Comment_1357351

oh i think thats just an undeniable fact, but you could say that about a lot of killers. billy just has more potential then most due to his high mobility and instant down, and combined with his high skill cap and techniques like curving, he can be a monster in the right hands which is why a lot of people give him the credit he's due. in an average players hands though he becomes very easy to dodge, akin to a huntress.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1357354#Comment_1357354

agreed on saloon. its by far my fav map, and i send myself there frequently as survivor despite it being a lil killer sided. (i love its overall asthetic, it has some good loops, and is generally very fun! plus its legit the most fun oni map, because i can charge around like the hulk and break stuff) i think both frenzy's had their ups and downs. still needs steps to be better tho

I understand this is a controversial opinions thread... and to an extent i agree. to an extent. unwarranted and purely throw away unneccessities are absolutely not ok, expecially if your throwing in sexuality purely for the sake of bonus points, inclusion, or to bring in a wider fanbase from the lgbtq fanbase. but at the same time inclusivity is incredibly important and people want things they can identifiy with in every type of media and its important to show these kinds of things in all forms. does that mean we need an entire archive devoted to david having homoerotic tendencies? Absolutely not, but opening up these barriers and including lore and creating stories around blank slates is the entire purpose of the archives. if it makes sense and is loyal to what we already know of charecters im all for it. expecially if it allows someone out there in the fanbase something greater to identify with and feel included and noticed. if its thrown in without thought? creates a bad story for the purpose of just being so? im not for that.

Sexuality is neccessary for all forms of media. should it be in dbd? arguable. archives? well its lore around charecters. if the storys good, i'll enjoy and support it is the main thing. and if it makes someone out there whose on the lgbtq spectrum happier? im all for it. gotta make sense and be purposeful though, because even me as a straight white boy from ol nz, can enjoy a nice gay story about two people coming out. or heck just people being gay in general yada yada yada. im babbling at this point but whilst i see your point i think its something that should probably be neglected, for the fact that greater inclusivity allows for greater story telling, and more love from all sides.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1357457#Comment_1357457

and i bring you = Iri hatchet! and Iri tombstone/tuft of hair! i see your point tho. a lot of them are very transformitive in nature and not always just a straight buff. honestly though, i'd prefer if every single addon in the game changed how a charecter functioned slightly/without just being a buff. i like the creativity and applyability for different builds. if every addon was like a trait from f:nv, or every addon acted like things such as scratched mirror, or prayer beads, or like bone clapper etc i would be very happy. green addons usually just add straight percentages or buffs to killers which arguably make them better by a long shot.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1357585#Comment_1357585

Honestly im not even going to lie you've convinced me and remained incredibly positive and descriptive throughout! <3 personally i would prefer it being aura reading, or at the least personal cooldowns for each survivor. but now im genuinely considering trying spies again! i've always prefered whispers for as you said, seeking, along with its endgame and start of game potential - but with how you described its use in a chase (which i thought it deactivated in a certain radius for whatever reason) i might have to try it again! that being said calm spirit is slowly becoming more and more of a meta perk, due to infectious fright, so im not to sure if it would work too to well expecially in the future haha. nor on the killers i mostly play such as oni, doctor, freddy and trapper, but i'll deffinately see about experimenting with it and trying it out! might be something else i might recommend to newer friends trying to play killer haha.

I usually don't count the add-ons that are just OP like iridescent head, that is a stupid add-on and the belt shouldn't work with it.

  • Green add-ons are usually the best and most reliable on every killer and ultra rare add-ons are usually the worst.

Yes, he was amazing back then, but now he's just outdated. The other outdated killers got huge buffs. i.e, Hag, Wraith and Trapper (I consider Trapper pretty decent atm).

Myers could use similar buffs. I'd personally remove his stain in EW2 to give him some utility in that, considering that he spends a large chunk of the whole game in it anyway.

I agree. Trapper is my main, but he is still pretty bad, OoO still renders him useless.

  • They should just rework Myers to be honest. His power has aged terribly, with ghostface and other stealth killers being miles better than him. He was amazing 2 years ago, but now he is outdated.

  • He is surprisingly good when played right, and when you use play with your food. He doesn't have much map pressure and his add-ons are bad though.

  • I am tired of seeing dead hard on survivors, it is so easy to counter as killer, and there are so much better exhaustion perks like Lithe. The killer meta is pretty stale right now, with almost every killer running the same perks.

  • As a trapper main, he is absolutely trash without trapper bag or tar bottles.

I love the dark tower, but I wouldn't even be able to guess how you could implement Dandelo into the game. What would you do, a channel ability where you perform silent stand up? The King was a lackluster let-down. He pretty much ended up just shrieking and throwing stuff and was taken out by the power of colored pencils and autism. Why not someone far more interesting, like Marten or the man in black, or RF? Actually, I think the best candidate would be Mordred. Either way the dark tower is probably too obscure for people to get into, although it shouldn't be, it's great.

Also, imagine if Roland did show up, what with the Gunslinger being on the killer roster. Awkward.

Also, even though the king was disappointing, you have to admit, when you saw the words "all hail the crimson king" on the wall in wizard in glass, you were curious. And when Callahan told his story in wolves of the calla and mentioned the king and his sigul you were even more curious. Song of susannah and the self titled were self explanatory.

While I sincerely hope that pennywise never gets added (he's the construct of an eldritch abomination, and I don't see the Entity playing well with another one), you have some good points. In fact, one of the most often repeated tropes in horror is bizarrely missing and you reminded me of it- the lover's lane slasher. I mean, he doesn't have to have a hook for a hand, but it wouldn't hurt. Also, where's my zombies? :(

I never expected to see a konami crossover, but since we have one now I can hope for some RE content someday. I doubt they'll give us an 8' indestructible bruiser with a rocket launcher, so my personal pick out of the lot would be the Licker. That would be sweet.

The deadlights (pennywise himself) are a complete separate entity than the entity himself. I also think the deadlights are even more powerful than the entity because of Maturin

Either way the dark tower is probably too obscure for people to get into, although it shouldn't be, it's great.

Also, imagine if Roland did show up, what with the Gunslinger being on the killer roster. Awkward.

True, Mordred and Randall Flagg would be great, maybe just have Eddie as the survivor.

So how good do you consider yourself to be in both roles? And how many hours do you have?

I personally think I'm a pretty good killer. I may not be one of the very best killers but I'd say I'm expert level at least. I win a good amount of my matches at rank 1 and my chases are usually short. As for survivor I'd say I'm mediocre at best. I know how to loop most tiles but I feel like I'm too susceptible to mind games if the killer is competent and sometimes I mindgame myself. I'm not too sure how many hours I have but I'm guessing around 800 across both xbox and ps4.

I don't play every killer, but when it comes to my mains, I would call myself above average. For survivor, I'm absolute garbage.

I have the right for my own opinion mate, and I had commented saying what I think.

I would appreciate if you don't put words in my mouth or accuse me of being "passive aggressive" when I'm not.

And by the way , I don't see you being "on topic" with your comment, and I see no other comments here from you . All you do on these forums is attack people or is this your first time? Maybe contribute and stay on topic yourself first , then give me a lecture , hypocrite.

Also, I would like to know what you were trying to accomplish saying "ok cool". If it isn't passive aggressive or off topic, what point were you trying to prove?

You do, in fact have the right to have your own opinion, but you didn't stay on topic as well, neither did I. You were clearly being passive aggressive with your reply saying "ok cool" which is a passive aggressive reply to anything. My comment wasn't contributing to the argument, it was a reply critiquing yours. You do realize that me not commenting on anything else doesn't make me a hypocrite, I know it's crazy, but not everyone has to comment. Hypocrisy would be me doing the exact same thing as you, so I suggest you tell me how a reply critiquing you has anything to do with your passive aggressive response. Go air your grievances on twitter mate.

Decisive Strike. I stopped running it because it ended up being a wasted slot for me. If a team is playing well and a killer isn't camping, usually I don't get found and downed before the timer runs out.

Overcharge. I ran it when I first started Doctor, but there are better perks to run for gen regression. (Though not sure if this is overrated, and usually I just see it on Doctors.)

I used to always use overcharge and collectively realised it's meh.

If you are going to comment, stay on topic, don't be that passive aggressive for no reason. The forums are for discussions and sharing games, and you are contributing absolutely nothing to the forums.

out of these what do you wish is in DBD, Movie Killers or Video Game killers

personally I would like to see Xenomorph, S-AX from Metroid Fusion, and either Slenderman or Sonic.EXE

The dark tower chapter. 2 killers, Dandelo and the crimson king. 2 survivors, the gunslinger (Roland) and Eddie Dean.

Demogorgon's perks were awful. The only usable one was Surge and it's strictly worse than Pop in 99% of situations. Cruel Limits is just lol. Mindbreaker could be good but it's way too specific on when it activates.

Ghostface's perks were alright, although Furtive Chase is easily one of the worst perks in the game. TT and I'm All Ears are alright.

Oni is just lol. Windows of Opportunity having a cooldown makes sense since pallets/windows are necessary for survivors, well, survival. Why Zanshin has a cooldown after hitting someone is beyond me. Blood Echo is usable, if a bit underwhelming. Nemesis is okay, usable in builds that rely on obsession perks (also is the only perk that synergies with Furtive Chase in any capacity).

I agree on Demo, but surge alone makes up for it, as it can be used effectively on almost every killer. For ghostface thrilling tremors and I'm all ears are some of the best perks in the game, but furtive chase is awful. Zanshin is pretty trash, but nemesis is very fun with play with your food, making a deadly combo, and blood echo is one of the best and most underrated perks.

From what I've seen, he's as bland as they come. Just a generic slasher/"torture porn", nothing that sets him apart from every other slasher ever. Saw had some vague philosophical depth to it and both it and Candyman had some psychological elements (and Candyman touched on racism). Jason is boring. All flash and no substance, as they say.

A common criticism of Candyman is that he's not that famous outside the USA, but neither is Jason. I didn't even know he existed until I dated a girl who was into F13th and A Nightmare On Elm Street. Other than her, though, nobody knew about either of them or cared.

EDIT: Since people are (rightly) saying that my social circle doesn't represent the world, I looked at the box office. About 18% of the box office for the entire F13th franchise came from outside the USA. Usually it'd be a 50/50 split for something that's considered "iconic". A Nightmare on Elm Street has a 75/25 split, more or less.

I agree, the movies are actually some of the worst of all time. There isn't a single decent movie in the 12 F13 movies there are. Once you have watched the first, you have watched all of them, they all follow the same plot. Horney teenagers, horney teens get killed, final girl, final girl discovers bodies, final girl's boyfriend dies, final girl kills Jason, etc etc.
