locker DS and DS-Unbreakable are problematic, but I agree the perk should remain for the sake of game health. Particularly to make solo actually bearable.
Idk man, I still think DS should deactivate when someone else is hooked, or when a survivor touches a gen or heals. In return, it should be a 2 time use perk, and the timer shouldn't go down in chase. Maybe make the perk basekit as well, to prevent tunneling.
-
Bad killers like to blame their losses on swf. SWF is fine for the most part, and you can't stop people from having fun with friends. The best the devs can do, is balance the game around swf and buff killers. Most swf like to just have fun with their friends, however I have to agree that 4 man optimal swf is ridiculous for the amount of free information it gives.
-
Blight can counter most loops if you're patient with your bounces, all he needs is a flick to his lethal rush.

@CashelP14 said:
Yes they are trying to help survivors. They recent killers that have been added were:
- Blight
- Pyramid Head
- Deathslinger
- Oni
- Doctor rework
These killers are all A tier with some having little to no counters. They also released perks like:
- Dead Mans Switch (Gen blocking perk)
- Hex: Undying (It and Ruin are now meta)
- Dragons Grip (Perk that exposes you for tapping a gen after the killer kicks it)
They literally added a survivor perk that blocks gens lol the amazing job they have done helping survivors. DS is to help against tunnellers, campers and mori users. Same way the newly added gen perks above are to help with potential gen rushing.
New Ruin is better than the old one. More rewarding at high ranks and not op at low ranks. The recent changes have been to help balance the game better like:
- Fixing Billy's broken add-ons
- Making Bubba unreliant on perks
- Map changes 2 months ago
- Breakable walls on maps that had their graphics changed. These maps are now very good for killer.
- Buffing perks like Tinkerer to the point it's almost meta, Frankins can remove items from the game and you can't flashlight save anymore if the killer uses Lightborn.
Bar the bugs they've done an exceptional jobs in their efforts to balance the game.
How does blight have little to no counterplay?
-
Buffed tinkerer is very good, probably better than discordance. Now, with the blight out, it's more popular than ever.
-
What happened after that was much, much worse...

She is already slow, why would you make her even slower? LOL
The person you responded to literally was suggesting to buff her speed to 115% which is 5% faster than her movement speed right now, and if she carries 5 hatchets, she moves at 110% which is her speed now.

if he loses zoning, he's just another M1 loopwhore boring killer
you guys just need a room w/gens and no killer so you can hold M1 in your safe space i swear
His ability can still be used without zoning, watch @GoodBoyKaru stream him, he still has amazing anti-loop, even without zoning. Maybe make his punishment easier to hit, and nerfing the zoning would be good.

After people die, if they have a substantial problem in they're life (Guilt, Crime, ect.) They are stuck in a plane in between life and death, if they die in that realm they are eternally tortured, if they escape they get to enjoy whatever the afterlife has to offer.

Actually, after you recommended it to me a while back I put it on my list, I ordered it and should be getting it this sunday.
I'm excited for you to start your journey, if you don't like the first book, at least give the second a chance. I will buy your book when it comes out for sure though :D.

Honestly have no clue, I'm trying shoot for 2023 buts thats being hopeful. I haven't even found a publisher yet.
If you want inspiration, I suggest you read the dark tower, it's the best book series I have ever read, I love it probably more than you love SCP.

I want bigfoot or a wendigo as a killer now.
-
Probably my second favourite terror radius/chase music after deathslinger.
-
I think I'm going to main him as well, I love pinball junkie :D.
-
You're probably not even a doctor and you diagnose people with a very real disorder for hitting a survivor on a hook in a video game? I dislike people who hit on hook, but you should have changed your wording.
-
I'm glad the dc penalty is gone, so I never have to play on Haddonfield or Midwich ever again.
-
He's outclassed by deathslinger in every way when you look at it, besides clown being 5% faster. His bottles need to be more effective, his reload slowdown needs to be adjusted, or he needs a secondary ability. I miss old Freddy as well though :(

Hi azame, I might disagree with your opinions on deathslinger, but I really enjoy your discussions and how positive you are on the forums. I'm very happy you joined :D.

Considering those perks have been left alone for years with no intention of changing them....yes.
Some people just want this game where you come in as swf, burn Ormond, safe pallet to safe pallet, take a hit, safe pallet to safe pallet, get mindgamed, dead hard to get distance back, safe pallet to safe pallet, all the while your buddies sit on gens.
There's a reason people are moving to killers who can get the job done. Go play a bog standard M1 killer on Ormond against your typical 3000-6000 hour survivors you get on the EU servers, many running OoO or stretched res.
Should all killers be like the old ones where it's the survivors that control the chase?
Out of curiosity, which perks are these?
-
Freddy isn't strong.

Yup. Spirit and Pyramid have downsides, they have time for survivors to recuperate. Hillbilly didn't have that.
Billy had downsides. He has a map-wide indicator that he is using his power and slows down when charging it.
-
And what? If they remove maps, the game doesn't exist.
-
@ClickyClicky said:
@Brhoom "In these situations you don't feel equal with the killer"
It's an asymetrical horror game. If you're in the 4 then you're not meant to be equal to the 1. Making the 4 able to individually go toe-to-toe with the 1 is why half the killers in this game are trash.
@Kbot22 "I'm glad they are finally doing this, pyramid head is the most obvious killer (besides spirit) that has absolutely no counterplay besides the killer being bad. All the killer has to do is bring up his rites of judgement whenever you reach a pallet or window and you have no choose but to get hit. "
If you're running in a straight line towards a window and PyramidHead has his sword in the ground then yes you're getting hit. However people act like it's EVERY pallet/window which is not the case.
Firstly, PyramidHead MUST have his sword in the ground already. You can not put your sword in the ground, fire off a shock and get a hit if you do it as the survivor is vaulting/dropping a pallet. It must be done in advance. The hitbox on the shock attack is so slim survivors need only move a single footstep to the left or right for it to miss. Hence he needs to have it prepped.
Secondly, some loops in the game are at angles. For example on some maps the loops are in an oval shapre - 0, with the pallet at the slimmest parts. Due to the curve pyramid head can not line his attack up in advance, and if he tries it then due to him turning worse than a shopping cart he's very unlikely to get the hit. Likewise if you run in a building take a hard left and vault he's not gonna get the hit.
@Devil_hit11 This guy gets it. This is someone who has actually played PyramidHead vs good survivors. Pyramid needs a straight line. Anything at an angle and he's not gonna get it. Likewise you can randomly spam attacks through a wall and most wont hit, it wastes time. Also if you're stood still while he's spamming shocks through a wall then its on you for staying in an unsafe area. Pyramid isn't much different to Huntress, if she preps a hatchet as you run direct to a window then she gets the hit, if you fake it and run sideways she just adjusts her aim and throws at you. Yeah huntress is slower than pyramid at movement and prepping a hatchet but thats because her attack can go much further, much faster and she has full aiming, no shopping cart controls.
Let me ask you all a question that are saying pyramid head has no counterplay as you run towards a window....
If I'm playing Trapper, Wraith, Leatherface, Hillbilly, Legion, or any similar bog standard M1 killers, and I'm chasing a survivor in a straight line towards a window, and both me and the survivor know that at the distance between us, I'm likely to get the hit as the survivor vaults, so they tap E to add distance with Dead Hard and now they safely make the window vault...
What is the killers counterplay to that?
Oh that's right there's none. None at all. Yet nobody complains. Because it's just taken for granted that killers need plenty of counterplay in every situation but it's just generally accepted that survivors have none.
So many hypocrites out there. PyramidHead is fine. He's the most fun killer in a longtime and my new main. i know this is said a lot but if he gets gutted I genuinely think I'll be done with the game.
So, you think Billy, who had tons of counterplay needed a nerf, but you think spirit and PH are fine?
-
@Sluzzy said:
No killer should be able to lock a survivor in a no-win situation. The fact they are this slow to look at him means money before balance.
They took only 1 chapter to look at him, that seems very quick.

Survivor perks create plenty of lose-lose situations for the killer. That's fine though. Only Pyramid needs the nerf.
Exactly, some survivor perks are problematic, does that make pyramid heads zoning ok?

Completely removing is zoning abilities would kill him.
How? He has the ability to hit through walls and can move at normal movement speed while charging it up.

No... Throw them high to spread. Works specially on trees. Everything gets pink and it's even hard to see the clown.
Sometimes you get the whole loop with the spread.
Sometimes your poison creates a radius around the loop and when they leave, they get intoxicated.
It depends on how high you throw the bottle.
Bottles are very useful HEEEEEHEHAHA
Yeah, but that is countered by pre dropping pallets. Also, deathslinger is much better, since he has the threat of an instant ads, making all loops irrelevant in the first place.
-
@ClickyClicky said:
- Spirit is ovrhyped. Don't get me wrong she's good, she's very good, but she's not this unstoppable beast people make her out to be. Same for Freddy and Pyramidhead.
- Nurse is still the only killer that comes close to looking OP. Now it takes a lot of practice to get that good and you need to make very few mistakes, but she still has by far the highest potential in the game and it's ridiculous that some people try to put Spirit over her in tier lists because they read others say it online.
- DS is also overrated. Killers can still hard tunnel/proxy camp through it, get one out of the game fast enough to try and win the game.
- $10,000 dollars on the line, competitive tournament and people are bringing NOED. Almost as if it's a really strong perk whereas some people try to downplay it and pretend it's bad.
- If killers hard tunnel then survivors need to rush gens to escape which means they don't have time to do 5 totems on top. Some people argue they have plenty of time.
I've been saying all this for a long time 🤔
Spirit isn't overhyped, most of the spirits were garbage, watch the good spirits like trickster and ayrun play.
Nurse is still the best killer.
I think the only thing that made DS look overhyped in the tourney was the bug.
Agreed, noed still needs to be deleted.

@jisp3r said:
I can give a hard time to survivors with him... I think people use his bottles the wrong way, trying to hit the survivor...
Many streamers that I've seen throw them at survivors foot or directly at pallets... That's not the best way to use them...
Is it throwing them ahead of survivors or at tiles to zone them? I already mentioned that in OP, he is outclassed by deathslinger in that field, and he can still be countered by pre throwing pallets.

-
Because he can zone for free and create lose-lose situations with survivors, without any penalty. All he needs is his zoning removed.
-
I doubt it, since they are trying to update older maps with graphic changes. I'm fine with have a map look better and feel better to play, rather than another midwich.

@dugman said:
Clown is the best 115% movement speed foot chaser. The killers that are better than him in a chase are Spirit, Nurse and Huntress but they are all slower than 115% speed. (I think Deathslinger and Clown are roughly on par with each other. Deathslinger is better in the open, Clown is better at loops with obstacles.) He's very consistent in the time efficiency of his one-vs-one chases.
... And that's it. He has no map mobility when he's not in a chase so he has to walk from one chase to the next at normal speed. He's got no stealth or tracking to help him start chases closer to the target, and no innate gen slowdown like Pig's hats. So he can win in chases but he's basically just average overall because that's all he can do so he's particularly vulnerable to the survivors splitting up and making him cover larger distances of the map.
Fortunately the devs did say in yesterday's Q&A that they're working on changes for Clown. No specific on what they are but presumably they're something that will make him a little better outside of just a one-vs-one chase. (I like the idea of him having an alternate ability to drink from bottles for a buff but who knows?)
I think deathslinger outclasses clown in a chase, since he can reel survivors around loops and instant ads, as well as having a small terror radius.
-
Please don't leave, try killer, you might like it. Tunneling is a strategy that needs a significant nerf, and I expect a nerf for it soon.
-
@DailyDemo said:
I want him to be buffed with a secondary ability to give him better map pressure, but the balance team thinks that he is underrated so he obviously is like SS tier right?
Well thankfully, they said they are working on something for clown in the recent q&a, so I think they are listening to the community.
-
@BigTimeGamer said:
Hes the worst killer, bar none.
As Clown, you hold W. His Power? Makes the holding W gameplay slightly faster, but its negated by dropping pallets early.
Against Clown, you hold W and drop pallets early and just repeat until gens are done. Its incredibly boring both sides.
Side note; anyone else notice Clowns tend to tunnel off hook, camp immediately and generally BM etc more than anyone other killer?
Also, we recently had a killer who counters holding w even better than clown (the blight.) Yeah, most clowns I have come across, tunnel, bm and use those annoying exhaustion add-ons.
@BabyDweetMain said:
I hate clown. Playing against him isn't fun. Being slowed then hit isn't great.
I hate how he blurs my vision, and how his easy to hit gas can apply exhaustion.

I'd like a dark tower chapter. The make could be the dark tower itself, surrounded by the rose fields. The survivor could be Roland (the gunslinger) and the killer could be the crimson king or the man in black.

in Q&A dev says they changing huntress's add-on.
But looking at what they did to nurse and billy,
I refuse to believe they only nerfing iri head,
probably doing an entire add-on pass that no one ask for and making her unfun to play as.
so RIP, bye bye huntress.
Her add-ons need work, they are so, so outdated. She has a 90 second exhaustion add-on and a hindered add-on as well, which are both extremely outdated.

Have you seen what the devs butchered so far, of course it isn't fear mongering its reality
They haven't butchered anything so far this year in my opinion. Hillbilly on ptb was bad, but they adjusted it, to make it more fair, the nurse nerf was justified, doctor got a significant buff etc. The only killers they have ever "butchered" were ptb oni, legion, pig and old freddy. PTB oni was overpowered, but after they nerfed him, he didn't even have a power, thank god they gave him his flick back though. Legion was awful for game health, and there were so much exploits you can use with him. I'm pretty sure pigs terror radius got nerfed from 24 to 32 meters, and her endgame reverse bear traps were nerfed with egc. Old Freddy also got his terror radius nerfed, because survivors.

You can see the grass move when survivors are walking/running through it, also try using scratch marks and breathing.

If the killer finds you easily whilst working on a gen or another objective, look for the totem around you and cleanse it.

SWF doesn't render all that useless at all, it's simply hyperbolic statements, SWF is fine, Solo is unplayable currently, and has been for quite some time, I would happily take playing killer against SWFs over playing solo all day.
Actually, OoO does render trapper and mindgames useless with enough coordination, also, it DOES render blindness useless, what's that point of not seeing your team mates when you know where they are anyways? I do agree, there are so whiny one sided people in this game, but SWF with voice chat is genuinely an issue.
