No. Pyramids projectile has a short windup period and especially a very obvious VISUAL cue in the form of the exact location his attack will hit half a second later. BTW, the projectile travels physically from the back to the front, hitting its max range a bit later.
so if a pyramid heads sound cue happens he cant instantly hit me?

So after a few weeks of not having many cheaters suddenly I get a few every day. From people popping all gens instantly while my screen is still panning to wannabe subtle cheaters zooming around after breaking line of sight. Is it the same for you guys?
I had a dredge who broke locks instantly without any add ons for breaking locks. so even tho i ran at the right time as soon as he teleported into shack he hit me mid vault and he also teleported in nightfall without charging it or his arm would have raised. I made a post and it seems the first part is impossible and the 2nd may just be my fault.
I also had a pyramid head do insta ability, maybe its because the sound animation is weird compared to the visual like toz was saying but as soon as i heard the sword drop he used his power, which is what a hacking pyramid head did to me when crossplay came out

Key word here being "eventually"
I'll be VERY surprised if cross progression comes in the next year or so
I'd say you should start saving iridescent shards to buy the original characters that have the best perks at least, but it's up to you, if you are confident in cross progression coming out this soon..
im already doing so. i will buy characters dependent on perks for quality. probably nemi for lethal pursuer on huntress and maybe some other perks to tweak my build, but for survivor perks i dont really need much. I personally dont get tunneled alot because the killers i face cant catch me for whatever reason so they either camp or just go destroy my team

well itll happen eventually and i wont need many different perks regardless

You definitely missed the boat if you didn't get everyone to at least prestige 1 before the patch hit. I am finding it to take around 500k just to get an addon I want to play with on a killer.

I'm getting quite tired of seeing people complain about this patch or already wanting nerfs.
The biggest issue atm is tunneling (no surprise as no one runs DS) but this is the biggest issue that needs a double incentive for killers (punish those who tunnel, reward those who dont)
Everything else in the patch was fine an barely made any difference to the game when people actually play.
The biggest changes in this patch was DH and gen time (even though they nerfed all the good regression perks).
And believe it or not, alot of people got carried by DH... even if you didnt use the perk yourself you would of had teammates that did extending multiple chases throughout the match making it easier for your team to escape/gain mmr.
Alot of people would of been carried into an mmr they didnt belong whether through the use of DH, others using DH or even just being placed on a good team.
This update will punish those players who are in a higher mmr than they belong or punish those people who arent efficient or pushing gens at the level needed for that mmr.
Give it time and keep trying, you'll settle into a new mmr bracket for your skill and efficiency. My games have massively improved as times gone on, I get less and less rage quits and people throwing and now I'm back to the usual 5min games.
SUMMARY: GIVE THE UPDATE TIME, Your mmr will adjust to where you actually belong (in terms of chases & efficiency) this patch is pushing for survivors having to all contribute and try in the game, you cant have 1 person never do a gen or a chase and still win, the games a 4v1 not a 3v1.
sorry but im in a lower mmr than i should... so whats your logic on that one?

I just want to try shadowborn on huntress, yeah in the long run it saves you points but thats annoying

In most cases its even better if the survivor drops the pallet after a hit. Thats a wasted pallet.
Its more like this perk combo gives a m1-killer without a power a decent chase ability and it has nothing to do with doctor. After a hit dropped and not dropped pallets are useless against that build. And all the survivor had probably no idea how to play against it.
You refer twice to one big mistake: wanting to drop or vault a pallet after a hit. You should do that never, even without this perks. Use the speedboost and dont interact with anything.
There are scenarios, where you cant reach safety with the hit:
1. Bc the killer catches up fast, but doctor has no basekit ability for it.
2. Bc you are in a deadzone (the next not blocked pallet is too far away). That has also nothing to do with doctor, so this perks have almost no synergy with him. You cant vault for a short time after a shock + hit, so i guess in some scenarios you make less distance
So you did not have a chase plan, did not account for deadzones and didnt use windows very well or the map had many deadzones and almost no windows. Thats why it felt so strong.
Ps: doc has some synergy with blood favor, bc his power works better against dropped pallets or windows than against undropped pallets.
i mean i was on the game, top floor and kept holding w until he caught up and didnt drop pallets, then he eventually caught up to me with his ability and at one point i dropped a pallet and instead of breaking it she shocked me OVER a stairwell drop and then i had to spam my rb to get away over the pallet and it broke, there was nothing i could do in that situation

- you are playing against complete beginners, since you are a beginner as a killer yourself
- in higher ranks, your facecamping killer play would be completely obliterated, since people would pop gens and escape while you are hugging your one and only hook. Of course killers with experience know all this and they will not waste time with a single survivor and will keep up the pressure on all of them. But you are a beginner trying to troll other beginners. Not an actual "experiment"
bro... you do realize that good solos dont exist right?XD that extremely rare and someone somewhere wants altruism so yeah facecamping does work. maybe not for 4k but it still works. and facecamping guarantees 2 kills if you can catch survivors fast enough

I would agree if survivors get some buffs (especially soloQ). The game would suck even more than it already does if they removed a bunch of pallets.
but this is specifically the game tho, not the other maps

@IronKnight55 said:

All I can say is I can't believe people were seriously trying to claim that sprint burst is even remotely as powerful as old dead hard.
it is... you do realize that running BEFORE the killer gets to you is the proper play right? if everyone has sprint burst in a deadzone bam they get away and now you have to get 2 hits on them after maybe whiffing 1 and if they had deadhard then they extended the next chase or they deadhard in a deadzone but dont make it anywhere... so sprint burst is better in that scenario. also say your gen is at 70 instead of being brave with sprint burst just use it as soon as you see them and they have to literally leave you alive or go after you which means they gotta catch up to you

If killers are op at the beginner and mid levels, then the people who are playing them will 1) get up in MMR and get bullied by actual good survivors and 2) they'll move up from low and mid MMR. They don't just stay down there in their OPness, slaughtering the survivors. They move up, and then they are the ones getting slaughtered IF the killer is just op and it's not them actually being skilled with the killer. People don't win with Nurse or Blight unless they know how to play them. Same thing with every other killer, except with every other killer, they physically don't have the tools to beat certain teams no matter how well they play.
and if you give them those tools you make them as strong as nurse and it doesnt matter if they go into high mmr because then no killers would exist at low mmr. its not hard to get better and if the killers are all as strong as nurse and mind you different killers have different difficulties then its safe to say that those killers would be put in higher mmr at the start and not even know what to do against good players and theyd suffer soley on the devs bad decision to make the game that way, until they learned how to play and then its a challenge for those killers like every tournament. but regardless it will break the game unless all the low mmr SURVIVORS get good. killer is so easy to get high mmr and survivor is not

It would be fine if we balanced around tourneys, for high MMR players. The casual players do not concern us. They will lose to nerfed or unnerfed Pinhead, and they will lose to nerfed or unnerfed Deathslinger. Just because a killer gets buffed for top level balance doesn't mean the people using them at the bottom or mid level will suddenly get a higher kill rate with them, because they're not experienced enough to play with that character's max potential, just like the survivors they face aren't playing their best.
The problem with solos isn't their lack of communication via comms, but the matchmaking system. You can chalk up a few losses to solos having differing strategies to how to beat a certain killer, but that's not where most of their losses come from. Most of their losses come from their teammates acting like they've got 20 hours in the game, or refusing to run meta when their killer counterparts are running meta. If you can fix the matchmaking system to match the killer with 4 good solo survivors, not 2 good ones and 2 bad ones, then they will operate at an almost SWF level of efficiency and they will beat that killer. I've seen it happen.
Just want to reiterate that in these tourneys, the survivors are handicapped. So even if balancing off tourney level is the best way to balance the game, we would still have work to do after we made it to that point, because survivors would still have skewed death rates.
no I dont agree. nurse is really easy, although i have watched tutorials and tried her on console, meaning i have a bit more knowledge and skill with her than a beginner.... on pc nurse is quite easy to pick up and do good with. if we buffed huntress to tourney level by raising her speed to 4.6 and giving her 7 hatchets base. she would be op at the beginner and intermediate. beginners will miss but with a little practice she can easily destroy and camp and tunnel. she is faster and would have map pressure which a tourney style game needs. but the thing is 4 good solo survivor will still not be able to coordinate and without coordination these great swfs wouldnt be tourney level.
if we can perfect matchmaking... impossible btw, then we could look into what you say. but the reality is with all the content creators out there anyone who wants to learn will. back 2 years ago even 1, brown ranks and yellows thought killer were overpowered becaus eteammates would hide in corners and crap and didnt know looping and during green ranks the survs wanted to do gens and learned to loop minimally and some killers learned to loop and contended just fine, except against swf. but the best players were purple or red ranks and the killers suffered because loops are easy and gens were fast and swfs were even worse, but the killers that learned loops and didngt waste time thrived.
if we buff every killer to compete with nurse they wont NEED to practice alot, and the survivors will and then survivors will be hating the game more and quitting more and then deathgarden again

Yh your right, but its the same case. If you have blood favor active there is no reason to use your power. So why does it make it better?
well if the doc hits you before you drop the pallet lots of people end up dropping the pallet anyways because they think they can make ti and spam it and this way they dont. I dont know why this build is a thing. but it was effective

Killers: boy, I wish survivors would run more variety of perks instead of the same builds.
Those same killers: let's play legion with thanataphobia, scourge pain resonance, call of brine and eruption!
Yeah, apologies to my teammates, but as soon as I find out the killer is a legion with thanataphobia, I'm hopping in a locker and unhooking myself to death. I'd actually recommend all survivors do this. Queue times are short for us. They'll be spending 10 minutes or more in queue just to have the game over in 5 minutes. Hope they enjoy it.
yeah i mean i was running sprint burst adren and hope and resilience. but i do agree before patch surv builds were pretty meta at high mmr. but its weird how the survivor meta isnt really all that anymore but killer meta is the same but even stronger

How are they a waste of time? Why can't we balance off what is seen in tourneys?
idk maybe because the top tier killers are viable in tourneys at the highsest level, and if we balance off that the refular players suffer because they cant compete, we would have to force those survivors to be as good as tourney teams and make every killer as strong as nurse and blight. although an equal game would be nice, to make everything fair and even we would have to make every survivor play with comms and as much skill as the best players. IMPOSSIBLE, and every killer would need buffs, which would be extremely hard without just breaking their power. and that would mean chase wouldnt exist and gen rush would be the game. there is a reason that nobody wants tourney dbd to exist or be the basis

Survivors can slow vault to avoid the break which if you are trying to power fake makes it easier to do with cds. I ran dissolution on Doctor and honestly wasn't impressed. Most loops you can use your power to deny and the ones you can't you just need to break the pallet and continue on. Plus Doctor does nothing against survivors who just leave the tile which is the main counter to dissolution
Dissolution on Clown is something to consider since Clown can make it unsafe to leave the tile.
well 4.6 killer will catch you anyways while you leave and idk it just seems like its a good and annoying combo but i couldnt slow vault he shocked me and then i barely had time to vault

There is an add-on that makes breaking the locks from inside the locker very fast. If it actually was straight-up instant, that locker was either not locked, or it was indeed cheats.
yeah... pc player and... no add on for that, he was using destroyed pillow and the add on to reveal auras of survivors locking lockers.

His teleport is substantially quicker, yes. If the locker is close to where he is, it can be virtually instant, yes.
but he didnt have a sign... this killer broke locks instantly too. i heard him teleport into a locker in shack and so i instantly jumped the window and he instantly hit me, no time to break lock. maybe nightfall makes locking lockers not work, but he wasnt in nightfall either of the 2 times and when he teleported it nightfall he wasnt raising his hands or whatever they are

Lately I've been struggling and pretty annoyed with survivor. It seems like no one can loop anymore all of a sudden and no one does gens. You're probably thinking I'm low MMR or something, but I can assure you I'm a survivor main at heart and have over 4k hours. And ever since this new update HALF of my matches are against nurse, with an occasional blight or spirit afterwards. There's seems to be no chance in winning with all these sweaty killers and noob teammates. And ever since the DS nerf killers camping and tunneling is at all time high for me and I've been playing since 2019. Anyways I just needed to rant, if you guys feel the same or different please let me know.
i understand, had 1 spirit and couple blights but these werent sweat blights. nurses were half and half. and I have like over 2500 hours and im like man these killers sweat stacking slowdowns and then after 5 games probably i finally had an actual chase and then some more to date and i keep getting like intermediate killers and teammates that just suck

It's not the patch that's causing the problems, but the horrible mmr system. If people got matched up with same caliber skill, this game would be more balanced than Robin falling on hive mines
this patch brought worse mmr did it not?

@TicTac said:
So a perk (Blood favor) which does exactly what his power does (making vaulting impossible) and a perk (dissolution) which only works, when you vault, an action which your power prevents, works exceptionally well on doctor? I dont think so.
Dont get me wrong its not bad, but there are killer, who use this perks better, and better chase perks like stbfl for Doctor.
blood favor is pallet drops, and it compliments his power and makes it better
-
@Sludge said:
"killers literally bring all gen slowdown like they need it when they dont."
Where do you get the idea that killers don't need slowdowns anymore...
simple, buff to killer basekit and gen buff. so if you still need to stack slowdown you only go against bully squads(impossible) or you arent very good but have high mmr.
-
@Nazzzak said:
If this is a recurring thing every game and its affecting you this badly, then take a break from the game. You can't control what killers you get or what perks they're carrying. You can only control your own actions.
I don't think you'll find many people outside of Legion mains who like Legion-Thana games. But if you make the choice to play then just pull your weight as best you can and play. I hate Deathslinger with a passion and groan out loud every time I hear him when I spawn in. But I committed to playing when I pressed Ready. If you are frequently letting go on hook or DCing then maybe you just need a break?
yeah maybe youre right, its not too frequent but yesterday was definitely a bad draw

as you have a point... some people have actual medical conditions that strain their eyes and cause problems. Some people are very sensitive so "sucking it up" actually physically and mentally hurts them for YOUR fun?! yeah well guess what somebodies health and pain is alway more important than your fun and game. Accessibility options would help this sort of thing and they are working on it, instead of you being a insensitive jerk, why dont you go somewhere else and learn some compassion for people that genuinely cant handle certain things for prolonged periods. The body isnt so simple and neither are mental or physical conditions that you can put people under one category or have everyone have the same reactions and symptoms. people like you make this game have bad rep
