It's annoying and how do people find it fun and what's funnier it's Nurse's who do it more why I don't know but it's not fun and seriously annoying and more often the not just a complete waste of time.
So let's add that to stereotypical killers
Bubba will usually camp
Nurse will usually slug at 5 gens
What else is there.
I meaqn as a huntress if you give me the downs I will take them. slugging can be avoided and if you overcommit then the slugs get healed. plus survivors can easily come back from that with good chases and smart plays

We've all see a recent bandwagon of these streamers protesting DBD for a supposed cheater epidemic.
I'm sorry, but this isn't affecting the community as a whole. A recent poll on Reddit showed that a overwhelming majority have not seen an increase in cheaters and most people have only seen 1 or 2 cheaters in thousands of hours of gameplay.
You all have been making some great improvements in the last few years, please keep going and don't get distracted by the few who are abusing their influence for their own personal gain. Please do what benefits the entire community, not the 1%.
welp... I used to be console and crossplay was released. cheryl with unbreakable but no unbreakable and a speed hacking pyramid head who used it to come around a corner and kill me as well as speeding his ability at fun bus because he couldnt catch me.
fast forward and yeah no cheaters at all. but since may when I switched to pc. I have been deathbotted by a AI spirit, a girl who had wallhacks and so I camped her and she escaped with 2 gens left, and a Yoichi escaped mid match, and I have had a nancy just as I paused my otz video on cheating I got a nancy who did all the gens instantly opened gate and left. I have also had a bubba in my huntress match throwing hatchets, I have that on youtube so guys check it out. I have also had a girl start her blind before she was even in my field of view, but that one im not so sure about, was suspicious.
so in my time since august of 2019, my near 3k hours. 2 hackers as soon as crossplay happened, and then 5 within 5 months. maybe a 6th and thats if im not remembering right, oh wait i ALSO have a vid of a feng speed hacking on the ground, so yes 6 definite hackers and maybe flash hacks on a 7th, which would be a total of 8 hackers in 3k hours or slim chance but 9 in 3k hours

For a second, I thought this was gonna be yet another entitled post. That is pretty rude of them just because you're... well... trying to win.
Nah I didnt wanna complain about their reactions, it was funny to be and shows what type of players they probably are, but they also were very smart in call outs and looping as well as nice enough to compliment me so I think they deserve more respect than that... even if they wanted to bully me. XD plus I mean playing fair as a huntress against a 3 man on temple of purg... I think I did well. and omg the girl even said "she is gonna zone me here" like I never hear people talk like that unless they are like sweaty players with call outs XD I dont know just wish I recorded

thats true, but also some time they arent depending on the situation. like if they throw and you feel like you didnt deserve. ya know?

While the houses are pretty painful to play as the killer and have a lot of nearly infinites, or maybe even true infinites, the Myers hous nearly always has a very strong 3 gen, ie the gen just outside the front door, the gen in the room to the left of the front door and one other gen in the backside.
If you just defend this three gens and take any chases as they come and get a few hooks, you will have a very strong end game.
i hope so

I've fully read each killer's backstory but I've realized that all of the female killers are technically killer because they had horrible stuff happening to them, the closest killer to being purely evil or a serial killer prior to being taken is maybe Nurse. But she only began killing the patients due to the abuse she faced for two decades & manipulation from that one patient in her Tome lore. (I don't know if there are any more patients who abused her)
Huntress is second, though, due to her mother dying while she was very young, She's pretty much confused and doesn't know what's right or wrong. Im not saying that she has the mind of a child, Just that the death of her mothers somehow made her not know what's right or wrong.
Hag went insane due to the torture she endured, Spirit was abused by her father and bullied quite often, And she's only a killer due to the Entity sensing greater potential in her. Plague thinks that the Entity is the same god she worshipped all her life OR she lost faith in the old god, and decided to worship the Entity instead. Julie was just edgy, and was a fan for serial killers (I don't know what to consider canon, her tome lore where she was like frank or her original backstory, where she was manipulated like Susie & Joey) Susie was pretty much manipulated and only obeyed out of fear. Charlotte is only a killer because of the Entity reviving Victor. Artist was taken in a very weak state, both Mentally and Physically. She wouldn't really fight back.
Those are my thoughts honestly, I would love to see a purely evil/sadistic female killer that wasn't a victim of abuse or something.
depends... evil comes in many forms. Is evil becoming a murderer after you were abused like nurse? or is evil becoming a murderer for fun? Everyone has a reason and its up to you to decide whether they are evil. If you can justify nurse and other characters then you could technically say almost no one is evil because they all have reasons most of the time. food for thought

And you expect a gg after that? Maybe in the first scenario sure, but fast 4k is far from a GOOD GAME for survivors...that's probably the worst because if the match goes this fast they leave with barely any BPs.
No. read the comments leading up to that one please. My comment here has nothing to do with my post.

You seem to forget that I said the words, "I don't mean to to be mean but it feels kinda entitled..." showing I wasn't trying to be a jerk and was merely stating a point due to your own words not coming off as good as you say and you immediately came after me with a rude tone
yes because the statement you said was insulting, although I do apologize for that tone, for whatever reason I was probably aggravated that day. And I do recognize you weren't trying to be insulting, but pointing out.

I don't think its that simple. She was attempting to nail me with a hatchet from about 70 meters away one moment and then right from behind a wall the next. She was essentially dancing with me. Felt like she could see me thru the wall. I've never come across a huntress like that. I was all up in her terror radius for a little bit in order to be able to hide in plain sight, since being up super close to a killer makes it harder for them to see you.
She literally moved with me, as if no wall was there. There's a difference between when a killer predicts your next move and then there was this huntress, who felt like she was seeing me no matter what or where I was.
She downed all of us quickly. And knew exactly where each person was. We scattered at the beginning of the game to avoid being picked off as a group.
then if it was perfect its wall hacks

@YakiSlothTvoyPrizRak said:
So, I played a game against a huntress that ran BBQ and chili, hex: undying, hex: blood favor, and one other perk I don't remember.
Huntress threw her hatchets DIRECTLY in my direction no matter where I was --> at a gen, behind a wall, behind a stack of hay. (i haven't been hit once yet & she had an add-on that let her see your aura AFTER she hit you). She tracked me through wall when I was trying to go for save. She knew EXACTLY which way I was moving because she paced with me along the wall of a house or a stack of hay on the corn map.
I was running off the record, lightweight, urban evasion, and adrenaline. I didn't stay in one place, in order to avoid bbq n chilli,, but somehow she knew.
Is there something I'm missing? Not sure why she knew exactly where I was at all times. (She had hooked two survivors immediately and then slugged me & teammate about 3 mins later when we going for save/were at a gen).
simple, she seen you, they are prediction shots. the killer sees you moving and throws trying to hit you when you get to a location.

Well when you fail to phrase your words in a way that are clear to indicate your tone, you're left with Inferences and Assumptions. Maybe next time you can try to clarify yourself a bit more so you don't leave room for Assumptions to be made
Sorry but my words needed no clarification, youre the only one to call me entitled and who thought It meant I expected something, but then again I am incorrect. EVERYTHING needs more clarification depending on the intelligence and thought process or experiences of certain people.(not saying your dumb, just for clarification)

Interesting how you say "I'm not being entitled" when the very last statement going on about sportsmanship is literally entitled. You quite literally were basically expecting people to interact in chat based on the tone in your post. Also calm the aggression.
You are assuming my meaning XD. Sportsmanship is always nice does not mean I expect it. You can INFER that from my statement, but to ASSUME it as a fact is ignorant. The aggression comes from you calling me entitled, over how you took my words in your way. (without asking me what I meant by it)

It depends on the killers. The really garbage desperate ones will be on you as though you stole their wife, killed their puppy and keyed their car. The rest will honestly give you hand outs out of respect for running the perk. You get both, really.
hmm ok, I want to be able to be chased reliably because I am still finding my teammates cant loop without dropping pallets horribly and they just suck and the killers do too, so if I can incentivise them to chase me then I can give my team a good start

@AverageKateMain said:
I don't mean to be a jerk when I say this but expecting a "gg" is kinda entitled. Like it feels imo that you want people to be forced to say something just so you feel better. Saying gg atp feels hollow and kinda fake.
Entitled? I never expected a gg, I said i rarely see it and I wonder why. None of this is entitlement and wanting to have end game chat interaction is also not entitled. I like talking to people and complimenting their plays or apologizing for bad teammates or crap like that. None of that is entitled. everyone throws the word entitled around like its candy.

Can't blame some people for getting a bit embarrassed. I don't say gg as killer either when I've been utterly destroyed, unless there were some really awesome praise-worthy plays that I can't help but compliment (well-organized sabo/Head On saves or protection hits, if one of the players was a great looper, this kind of stuff).
Same as survivor. If the game was lost but at least felt fair to me, I'll say gg or preferably a more specific praise if the killer did something that stood out to me (99'd stalks, crazy preshots, having an interesting build, great gen pressure, etc). If the game was really short for one reason or another though, I might not linger in the postgame chat and just move on to another game.
like when i camp and tunnel because a team had really good coordination or were on gens (I dont use perks other than aura so of course I have to do this against good players 1/3 of the time) I will tell them that they were amazing even if i win or didnt play badly. last night I had to camp and this quentin said gg and complimented me and even understood that I needed to defend hooks if i wanted to win. I was flabbergasted
-
@Lynxx said:
Was it really a gg? Or has it become some robotic response people just toss into chat now.
GG is something I'd say if the game was fair for both sides, but that is seldom the case in this game.
As for showing 'sportsmanship' if the other side utterly destroyed the other and expects a gg - what made them so sporting in the first place to deserve it?
to me destroying is getting a 4k without all gens being done or 4k super quick

As someone who plays alot of huntress on console your best bet is to forget about scratch marks and just watch the corn and try to make a prediction shot. I'm not saying it's easy it makes a difficult skill shot even harder but it is doable
i can but the issue is when they get too far i cant see it for whatever reason and i look at the tops

Play survivor and attempt to lose people in corn, then play killer and try to not to lose the survivor in the corn. What you'll find is a good killer can see through corn and a bad one can't
well i guess im a bad killer because the corn is made like trash? my issue isnt finding people its throwing hatchets XD

It's 100% possible to follow someone in corn. It's doing it job if you struggle however.
"Everyone uses it" Doesn't make it any less of a cheat in my eyes.
Any content creator I see with bright ass gameplay or weird filters, loses all rep for me. Play the game the way its intended.
ok first, autohaven is too dark. thats why i have increased brightness, but never the way those tourney players do. there is nothing fun about seeing everyone easily, but my brightness is only up slightly because of autohaven and that alone, i also use sharpness which changes nothing it just pops the textures out in a way I like. and huntress catching up to a survivor takes ages
-
@Chocolate_Cosmos said:

Suzu is right. It's pretty much the survivors fault if they get hit at anything but a very small tile with the hug tech. Ignoring them? no. Though I am not downplaying it, It really does help at tiles with nothing around to use bump logic. But genuinely most people that complain about the hug tech are just standing still at the part of a tile that you stand at vs normal m1 killers. You really just have to play differently. Or would you rather I take pallet side and then just beat you back around with speed. Oh and yeah blight can under no circumstance break his turn limit. Well other than the very rare instances of fatigue cancel that basically just makes you do a quick m1 without a lunge.
j flick
-
@SuzuKR said:
Blight can’t break his turn limit. His maximum turn per frame is 90°. He can pre-turn, or attack to move to the next frame in a double flick. These are both intentionally created mechanics. Hug tech is unintended but the sliding mechanic as a whole is an intentionally created mechanic.
Hug tech is easier to counter than bump logic in return for being able to use less Rushes and looking cooler. I’d rather BHVR balance around it instead of bugging every single collision interaction under the sun trying to remove a gimmick.
sorry but wdym easier? one lets you ignore loop tiles and the other one requires more big brain plays

Sorry to hear.
If I may make a suggestion, try running Thrilling Tremors instead of Barbecue for a few games. I had a Nemesis use this on me last night and I fell for it because I forgot how it works. I THOUGHT he had Barbecue & continued working on the gen to the last second before teammate was hooked, but he came straight for me crouched down behind gen because TT didn’t prox on my gen. I imagine a lot of survivors will fall for this as well. Some may catch on, but by then you would have got some value out of it.
If you see a bunch of medkits maybe sub a perk out for sloppy butcher or franklin’s.
nah i play huntress, i use aura build for sniping

well i guess ill correct myself
-
@GoshJosh said:
If they weren’t good, how did you manage a 0k five hook match? Regardless of their ability to heal? 🤔
simple, they were a swf who spread out and hid behind gens to prevent bbq value? why does everyone just assume that escaping as a coordinated swf makes you good? I downed them with dumb mindgames and within 25 seconds of chases. they sucked at looping and mindgaming. thats why i said not good, to me being good requires more than coordination
-
@Nazzzak said:
I dont think you're an ******* and I don't think you did anything wrong. You stayed in the area because you knew a survivor was there. But I don't think their use of Reassurance was bad either. I feel like that's the purpose of the perk. You didn't leave the area because you knew someone was in the building and its more time efficient to grab them than go across the map. So on the flipside, they felt it wasn't safe to unhook afterall and chose to prolong the timer. If they revealed themselves to attempt to take chase, but the killer decided to stay near the hook, then they may have lost their best chance of using Reassurance. So they probably just did what they felt was the best call for the team, just as you did what you felt was the best call for yourself
yeah i dont think the perk was the issue, its just them hiding nearby the hook screwing the team over and forcing me to stay
-
@ThiccBudhha said:
I am not going to lie, that is why, despite coming from an fps background, I do not play ranged killers. The tiles in this game, bruh. Even on open maps the way you have to play certain areas is so counterintuitive when all you want to do is go for shots. Those killers are only fun if people consistently get caught out in the open, imo.
Artist is probably the best if you tired of line of sight blockers. Just saiyan. I have literally never recommended her to anyone, ever. But it sounds like just the thing you need unless you are dedicated to one tricking Huntress.
If you are, I suggest an end game build. Just have fun during the game, and once gens pop, that is when you can hard camp them, maybe go for a Blood Warden play. Rancor is very good, you can just mori them regardless of quadruple second chances and swf protection. That is what I would do if I was forced to play Huntress.
thanks, I just love the sniping mainly, but wanting to win also makes it a struggle
-
@shiroo said:
"defend the basement" lol what a fancy way of saying "camping" xD
So if you were HALF across the map you would come back? I unhook when terror radius fades out but let's be honest, some killers can find 326875 excuses to hover around or in the vicinity of the hook. Especially Weskers these days since they can zoom back in split of a second.
I agree tho that fast vault is wrong, regardless of distance.
well I almost start chase and the girl fast vaults to the basement on gas heaven, and then after that they loed scratch marks to the basement as SOON as i walked away

From my point of view, immersed survivors are the problem. I would probably get banned if I told you what I recently did against a group despite the fact that there is no stated rule against it, but I know how Behavior treats 3 gen situations. So let's just say I made sure to give them a taste of their own medicine after they did exactly what I knew they would because of how they were playing.
I am proud of you for camping them. These people are biased, they pretend "its just a game" but then imply you had a problem for playing how you wanted to play while defending the party who was lowkey trolling, or throwing?

because they were hiding around hook, thats how they used it and the fact they were runnign in earshot
-
@Kryptix24 said:
So you’re annoyed because the survivor was camping then you do the same thing. Hmmm self entitlement is strong with this one.

-
@TheWarNung said:
I wouldn't say that camping against Reassurance makes you an A-hole. I would, however, say that it was probably not the correct decision to make. Choosing to camp when you know the survivors are running anti-camping perks seems to me like you're just setting yourself up for failure and frustration.
I'm not saying this to be insulting. It's hard to Monday morning quarterback when I know so little of what went down that match, but if a survivor is hiding near the hook for the specific purpose of using Reassurance then letting them get away with it is just giving this player exactly what they want.
yeah, i just dont see a point leaving the hook when 2 survivors are waiting like vultures nearby within 15 meters hiding, like why hide so obviously in the building next to the hook, if i search and dont find anything i lose a hook and so much time
-
@kingcarl2012 said:

Well hold on did you camp the survivor on the hook, or were you searching the area around the hook, these are 2 different things.
both, when hooking there was footseps on the other side of the breakable wall, so i looked around inside tried sniping a girl cross map and then i walk back out after reloading since someone was hiding and i assumed they would save and instead they just used reassurance, so i started searching around the hook
