I did not say that. I just asked why you are asking these weird questions. Because nobody can judge you for your play style if you are not cheating. You are allowed to do it, play how ever you want.

well i am curious, because i thought most of the community agreed if you hide around the hook the killer has no reason to leave, at least thats the way i have been thinking for a while

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

If i say yes, how you will feel? And why you are asking these weird questions anyway

I am curious because they were upset but they were literally around the hook, was I supposed to give a free save

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

Imagine being annoyed that someone uses the anti-camp perk to help with you camping ("then reassurance because i camped it") so you proceed to camp harder. What a gosh diddly danging concept.

no i am annoyed that they hide around the hook, not that they used reassurance

Oh, yeah, I agree with you. Bamboozle is such a strong perk... A nurse with bamboozle, so deadly. Actually, the nerf nurse requires is not allowing her to use bamboozle. We can also remove the window block so tiles are able to be used indefinetly. This perk is so unbalanced, like OMG.

Now seriously. Why are you suggesting that a perk almost every good dbd player does not use is a problem? And now that we got superior anatomy it is even more pointless to run it. Bamboozle only shuts one tile, and most tiles are connected to other tiles. You just need to watch around you and adapt. If you are unable to do so, enjoy your sweet penalties and make the most of your time hanging. ;)

it dont matter how used it is, if i get it once my match is ruined

  • no crap? If I have a god setup and use it efficiently I might let the killer kill me, but its MY fun

...its a perk on an original character. You don't even need to spend money to unlock it.

And with the changes to progression, you can just p3 Kate and get it on everyone. This isn't even as bad as needing to buy sadako to get call of brine or anything like that, it requires zero financial investment for a very useful perk that most importantly helps you improve as a player.

Ik but must buy others for better perks

Well no offense but that explains why you struggle as a survivor. Give it time and soon Bamboozle won't be a problem.

I dont struggle as survivorXD I just get extremely mad, because my solo teammates :( also the fact the killers cant catch me more often than not and the other survivors cant loop, so the only real thing I got going for me is when i do get chased

It's not too bad on Billy, since you can force survivors into a more favorable loop for curving.

I hate it on anyone, but I understand the chainsaw boys. I love billy but I love the thrill of shack curves

  • @Ryuhi said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3167407#Comment_3167407

Just run the perk and see how often there is always another window or pallet nearby. Its generally by design, and deadzones are a lot less common than you might think. You don't even need windows to know when things are nearby, but its extremely helpful to learn the tiles themselves, and even when you do it helps speed up your reactions and routing (and even keeping track of resources spent by teammates previous.) Its one of the best thought out perks in that it gives value to all skill levels, but people refuse to use it because they call it a beginner perk. I could easily imply "you must be terrible at looping and need it" or some other assumption, but I'm simply offering you a tool that can help improve your experience. Take it or leave it.

nah too much money to spend

  • @Sandt21 said:

Have we really gotten to the point where survivors are complaining about Bamboozle, of all perks???

and killers still complain about gen speed

  • @AlkaloidssOP said:

So if that ruins looping then I would love to hear your opinion on the old Dead hard. It was a chase altering perk just like Bamboozle afterall.

it was absolute bs? Sorry but if you expect me to be some biased survivor main youd be wrong. I main huntress for gods sake, and refused to use deadhard.

  • @Ryuhi said:

why not just run windows of opportunity and find another window nearby? Its a really good perk even outside of that situation, but its a straight up bamboozle killer.

well windows wont help me find a window if its 32 meters away seeming as how i wont make it there

  • @blue4zion said:

Nothing tells me more the survivor isint good as they can't possibly work around bamboozle.

I mean you can 1v1 me then XD I by no means suck at this game, I just know exactly what I like doing.

  • @Laluzi said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3167257#Comment_3167257

Yeah, and it's total ass to verse as an M1 killer. Past a certain point, fun for one side is usually the opposite for the other, you know? Doing a minimum of 4 rounds around each loop before breaking the pallet and moving on to the next loop is frustrating as hell for basic killers, to say nothing of the chainsaw boys who get completely wrecked by windows, so they might bring Bamboozle to help them break the cycle and get downs in a reasonable time.

I don't have much sympathy for survivors who think it's their god-given right to loop the killer.

well understandable... but its my god given right to have fun, and the only fun part of this game... well you see the point. I can be upset and it makes sense. and yes that can suck as killer but trying mindgames on killer on top of having ya know powers makes it less boring

  • @Brokenbones said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3167294#Comment_3167294

Most Weskers I go against have it

Seems like a v popular pick for him

I have only gone against him so far, that is exactly why this is getting out of hand in my games tho, cant say the same for yall

  • @AVoiceOfReason said:

Bamboozle is a favorite perk of mine. I use it on quite a few killers. Helps with jungle gyms, windows and forces early pallet drops, giving you more pressure later.

true, the perk helps force pallets, but thats boring if I have to drop the pallets left and right because i cant do much else

  • @JackFrostMan said:

You're complaining about bamboozle? When's the last time you've even seen it outside of a Legion or a Myers being a memelord with it, fireup, and (recently) superior anatomy?

I have been seeing it alot more in the last 2 months than ever since i started in 2019

  • @Brokenbones said:

Bamboozle isn't OP it's just a boring perk to go against sometimes, only a few killers really benefit from it too - many killers the perk does nothing for them

Tailoring your playstyle to counter it isn't hard at all but it makes Killers play predictably which you could easily argue makes the perk weak

like I said it isnt about it being strong its just boring, ok suffocation pit with lots of windows then bam, but on regular maps its useless yeah but as soon as my loop is ruined I just lose the fun, I make a game plan to play in a way and test my skills and I hate that my skill can be negated ya klnow. its not like bamboozle is the worst but I hate it, Most times i see bamboozle its when I cant see the killer had it in time and give a free hit or there is nothing around to continue looping. that is just dumb

  • @Carth said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3167262#Comment_3167262

So the argument is "yes, there are pseudo infinites vs m1 killers and they should know to abandon chase there and if they enter those loops they are bad and deserve to lose"?

Ok and what happens when certain maps have those loops in common spots and you are playing good survivors and they run straight to those loops? Just keep abandoning chases until the exit gates are powered? Bamboozle is the only tool that gives m1 killers a reasonable chance to engage with good survivors at strong loops vs the option you described of constantly leaving chase

Let me ask you a question, do you think anti loop killers are the worst designed killers BHVR can make?

not at all, in fact anti loop killers are good, the issue arising from them is counterplay and fun. If pyramid head can hold his weapon down and instantly cancel.... thats bad and not fun because it rewards no skill play. pyramid head can flick his ability and prediction shot... fair play. Huntress can be the best of all worlds, but yet people dont hate her. because she is loopable but at the same time a good huntress is harder to loop. its a back and forth of skill, old spirit and new spirit with stridor is kinda braindead, well new spirit kinda. old deathslinger quickscope was horrid, and he still has one but its not as bad(still annoying) pinhead can be dodged if you pay attention but he can also hit you from weird areas, that make it hard to deal with.

Antiloop killers have cool abilties and definitely provide a useful tool to combat bad maps and good survivors, but completely shutting something down is NOT fun or healthy. remember when everyone ran the strongest gen regress and tunneled and camped when the patch came out? they dont seem to be anymore but that for one was very unfun and not fair in lots of situations.

Also barely anytime will everyone be good enough to actually chain loops properly, sometimes yes you got to bloodlust and tunnel, but there shouldnt be a perk to just take away something strong.

wreckers yard, really good map for both sides for the most part, but pallet dense. lets see there are just short trash loops around shack in a circle and farther is jungle gyms right? so you bamboozle shack and they use a small trash loop and you bloodlust it and get a free hit, you bamboozle whatever loop they get to or in the worst chance bloodlust another short loop. regardless you take the easiest way out of a situation that isnt so bad. I would rather get mindgamed and outplayed.

same with killer cuz i play more killer than anything or at least when the que wasnt bad, I didnt mind people on comms and all that, you know what I DID mind? people who brought the perks to destroy gens fast, because unless i play in a unfun way It is hard to combat, or when people bring strong maps(more the maps that huntress is bad on.) Or healing squads who heal insanely fast. yes looping and chasing survs can be annoying but the people who can just erase all the killers pressure or use second chances to fix their mistakes are the worst.

Trust me I know the woes of both sides, to me I want to loop as a survivor and win as a killer, I can do anything to win, but I cant control if the killer chases me, because they can drop chase or ignore me, but when I do get chased especially because most of my teammates CANT loop, just to find out the killer has bamboozle and there are like no other windows around and just bad pallets it sucks.

    Bamboozle, the demise of DbD!

To be serious tho, you are not very good at the game if Bamboozle poses such a big threat to you.

it poses zero threat only if its used in a deadzone. The ISSUE is the fact it ruins looping.

  • @AlkaloidssOP said:

Wow you people will complain about literally any perk. It only gives the killer a slight edge. Literally all you have to do is run away.

its lack of creativity and fun thats the issue

  • @Laluzi said:

Wow, we're complaining about Bamboozle now?

I've got amazing news for you, man. If your killer is running Bamboozle? They're not a meta killer! Congratulations! You are not facing a Nurse/Blight and are by all rights either one of the chainsaw killers or an M1.

If your tile gets blocked, leave the tile.

Welp if my fun is negated then id rather go against nurses and blights XD

  • @Carth said:

Nooo you have to let me loop you 3 times before the entity blocker occurs and we go on to the next loop! No circumventing the 3 circles though!!

nope, not how it works. every tile can be played right and ran in a way that it isnt always safe, and chaining windows and loops is skill play, negating them for free isnt. you know what IS skilled? leaving a survivor to a weaker one and knowing when to not let yourself lose in that situations

  • @Spirit_IsTheBest said:

Holding W is strong for a reason, especially if you're against a killer with Bamboozle, just leave the tile, no issue.

You don't hold ur camera still as huntress? Usually they run into the hatchet themselves lol

Title. Reassurance was supposed to be this magic solution to camping, finally Behaviour was acknowledging the issue and doing something about it. Now that Reassurance has been released, people are realising that it literally does nothing to help what it's supposed to help, and it's not worth bringing.

So, anyway, after 6 years of not only not punishing camping, but actually buffing it and encouraging it, when are we getting the tools to address this?

When are you going to do anything for solo Q survivors while we're at it?

We get it, you can release pretty cosmetics. I get it, you've got a good artistic team. What about the actual balance of the game?

if reassurance is still 1 use, then no youre wrong. 90 seconds is enough for a 3 man escape AND even a 4 man depending on killer, whether its gonna be ran by everyone then boo hoo, no perk should absolutely destroy 1 thing, anti tunnel perks need to be stacked now, THATS fair, smartly using anti camp tools is fair, but we shouldnt just be able to abuse it, just because its unfun.

If you've played DBD on console and PC, what were the biggest differences you noticed? Were the differences significant? Insignificant?

(If you've played on PC with a controller, you're welcome to share, too.)

smooth as hell, hard as hell to do survivor on mouse. yeah faster spins and smoother, but controller is way easier and tbh spins arent hard to deal with 360 should mainly be a last resort not a playstyle. and finer aim for huntress and way easier to hit people with mouse and keyuboard as killer

  • @drsoontm said:

A day or two ago, I was playing as Huntress on Haddonfield and I was aware my opponents weren't too experienced (200 to 600 hours). These mismatches happen late at night and as usual in these cases, I settled for just pushing them a bit. I was "forgetting" to hook, trying trick-shots instead of sure-shots and so on. I only hooked each of them once.

When all gens were done, I've downed one and hooked him to test their end-game save skills but it didn't go as planned as the hooked survivor killed himself instead (kind of disappointing given how careful I was)

I chased the survivors back to the gates to end the match, left while they could heal get a bit more points and alt-tabbed on YouTube.

When I alt-tabbed back, one survivor had offered me a kill. Beside how funny it was that they didn't realize I was playing nice, this rare occurrence of a survivor giving a kill was kind of impressive.

    It's so rare.

most people probably think im a jerk because of my posts and the way i play, but I will give kills if my teammates bm at endgame, if the killer tried his best and never played like a jerk then why bm? most of the games the killer is either really bad or they chase me and lose, when my teammates die quickly. Or if the killer is bad and they are playing a killer i love or i feel bad for looping them ill give them kills, i remember facing a couple starting nurses who just gave up because they didnt know what to do so I let them kill me and got my friend to come over and farm hooks with her.

regardless of how I play or my willingness to be a jerk to win I do feel sympathy XD

10 isnt anything if you get bodyblocked either by the same logic, plus huntress is one of very few killers capable of chewing through the endurance and getting the down without much hassle

exactly but 10 is better than 7, any killer who wants the down will body block, thats the point. if 10 sec isnt much then why make it 7?

  • @xni6_ said:

too big of a buff. 5 seconds was bad only bc you couldnt make it to shack window from basement, they shouldve made it 7 seconds instead of 10, enough to make it to shack window/pallet from basement, but not enough to make it usable aggressively.

i guess bodyblocking doesnt happen XD sorry but as a huntress player if i miss my hatchet at basement i will just bodyblock them and hit them and if i deem necessary i will just slug the unhooked and, welp 10 seconds would mean i have to play smarter XD that 5 seconds was nothing and 7 definitely isnt if you get bodyblocked

killer on keyboard is way better, survivor is easier and better on controller just cant spin as fast and everyone knows the analog grip slip :( but it definitely performs way better

Funny how they literally just gutted the hell out of Deathslinger to make him more fun to go up against, yet everyone still hates him.

I for one actually enjoyed facing him back when his power wasn't primarily for zoning purposes, but whatever floats your boat BHVR. We all know how much people looove playing against zoning Killers after all.

i wouldnt hate him if he couldnt quickscope me. its like pyramid head, they "got rid" of his insta cancel so killer mains stopped playing him. and then they "got rid" of deathslingers quickscope so people stopped playing him, but as anyone sees against good slingers and ph that they still can, quickscope still exists and ph cant insta cancel but he can cancel fast enough to hit you through the window anyways. I wont stop hating slinger til i can to a window and he pulls up and misses because he decided to wait too long, when that happens ill be fine, but as it stands vaulting a window and then while youre in animation he pulls up his gun and shoots even tho you were mid vault by the time he did it,thats pretty dumb

EDIT: cept for those annoying clicky clickys that just ask for it to get tunneled out of the game

from the start or mid match? if they do it instantly then they probably arent confident or had a bad match or a few. if they camp and tunnel mid match its because YOU and your team are doing good and the killer needs to regain some pressure, its just the way of the game

Yeah, that's definitely one of the main gaps this particular system has, so that caveat is definitely worth mentioning.

Overall, though, winrate as a proxy for performance is a tried-and-tested way of setting up MMR systems.

sadly it doesnt work effectively for this game. if youre the best survivor in the game and you switch platforms or start a new account or your mmr is lowered, unless every killer chases you then you wont escape if the teamates are bad. Most of my matches I die and its because my teammates cant loop, and when i do get chased we win, but half the time when they chase me they leave anyways.

  • @steamed_hamzzz said:

Didn’t the Devs confirm it was a bug before?

If Blights “hug tech” is finally being treated as a bug and being addressed then what about survivors spinning

all it does is widen the gap between PC and console. It is considerably harder to counter a spin on console than it is on PC as they can crank their sensitivity up to 11 and have much sharper/ accurate movement compared to a controller

I’m not sayings it’s impossible to counter, I’m saying that console has an unfair disadvantage against PC

If we’re gonna have crossplay be the standard then shouldn’t a feature that heavily favours one side be addressed?

sorry but as someone from xbox with over 2000 hours then switched to pc.... youre wrong. very wrong. survivor is hardest on mouse and keyboard, it takes two thumbs to 360 on console and 2 hands with mouse and key. you have to hold shift with your pinky and use other fingers to shuffle the keys which is NOT easy and for me to do it i had to switch my sprinting to alt AND even then huggling loops perfectly is hard. therefore i will always play with controller on survivor. and hitting a spin is NOT hard

Like... what is the excuse here? There is no Thana, and two of you aren't even Broken yet.

How is common sense so hard to come by in this game?

cleansing is not bad, sorry but if everyone cleanses then they rob her of a multitude of fountains and shift the pressure, plague with her ability is not nearly as bad on average as most would think. when i play with friends i make sure they cleanse and then when i cleanse i get sick on purpose with saves and other activities. for whatever reason most plagues just wait until everyone is sick to use their ability, but because they dont save their fountains they literally lose their fountains and gain their power for a short time. so cleansing isnt bad, if you can coordinate.

Data of seeing who is most banned will show if a certain killer is OP. If survivors don't enjoy playing against a certain killer their is an issue.
