Title says it and it's what I experienced from playing both sides. As killer my most matches end 3-4K and I usually play even pretty fairly. I don't tunnel or camp much. My worst matches are usually 2K. Killer is only more stressful but other than that it's easier you have lot of control how the match goes but as survivor you don't.
When I play survivor most of the time killer gets 4K unless he is bad. No-one never gives hatch and slug hard for 4K. My friends kept also disconnecting today after how miserable it was to play survivor. I played 8 matches and every single one ended killer basically 4K:ing. Now just played killer couple matches and ended all of them with 3-4K.
I don't think im bad survivor because I can loop killers pretty long if I try my best. As killer I can make lot of mistakes and still recover and win but some matches ofcourse I lose that way. I think im better than average killer but im not either godly good but I know how to play for example when to drop chase, when to quard gens etc..

Might seem that way if you play strong killers. Killer sided for the entire roster...I think not.
That’s the thing though, you slap on Ruin, undying, corrupt pain Resonance on nurse for eg and are decent with her, you’re 4king 95% of your games with 2-3 gens still up. Even killers like Pinhead, Oni etc if you’ve developed the mechanical skill with them and have a strong build there’s really not much 90% of the survivors that currently play this game can do.
I do think as well this game is killer sided majority of the time.
Maps like Springwood, mothers dwelling, Fractured cowshed etc CARRY survivors, but on more fair maps like coal tower, sanctum of wraith, temple of purgation, wreckers yard etc against a good killer that has 1000s of hrs played it’s pretty much curtains for survivors..
-
Anything was better then old Haddonfield especially in the killers pov
-
Lerys, Pale rose, Dead dawg saloon, sanctum of wrath, Haddonfield, Coal tower with Bad RNG, Wretched shop with Bad RNG etc..
Also depends what killer you go against on some maps, like if you go against a Billy on Lerys it’s pretty free for survivors..
-
Meh the chances of you going against a really good nurse is rare especially since there are so many different killers to choose from.
It’s kinda like playing call of duty and running into Optic Gaming in a pub match playing Domination or hard point. You just get beat and go next..
Can anyone confirm she still has the lowest kill rate?

Trust me that Blight is not the only thing that will get changed, like cmon you cannot believe they only see Blight in their view...
If the patch comes, it may probably bring more stuff, this could be just a simple bugfix in the section. At the end of the day, it's on dev to make the decisions if the killer itself is not played how it was intended, since this "hug tech" it's classified as a bug not a feature, only the playerbase thought that. Only saying this because MandyTalk pretty much confirmed an upcoming fix.
I’m not with or against the Hugtech fix, it’s just going to make playing blight more hard to play and it’s sad because McLean designed him :( and Blight is all we have left to remember him by and hug teching a skilled survivor occasionally around a loop was so satisfying to me even though it really isint that hard to do to a degree.
The devs need to do what’s best for the community and I respect it.

I mean, I do not consider Spirit that strong to begin with, but damn... if it actually gets patched, I will definitely look on the forums XD
God forbid they do something about the atrocious maps in this game but are quick to remove a fun mechanic that took a bit of skill on a killer that takes skill to begin with..

But like, I am still wondering as you even say "accidential flaw that made Blight more enjoyable", if it happens to be patched and everyone forced to play by the design, how will this killer turn to be like in terms of strength?
The majority of my downs come from bump logic so he’s going to still be strong, it’s just nice to be able to save a couple rush tokens here and there hug teching around L and T walls on Macmillans or around trucks on Azarovs to get position, hits/downs. I found myself hug teaching to adjust/correct and get around maps easier due to me being out of position.
Blight is a hard killer to play and it’s not because of how good the survivors are because most of the time you get your lethal rush hits pretty easily, it’s just setting yourself up to get those hits is what’s so annnoying and frustrating with blight sometimes and hug teching just made that just bit easier to do so.
Id say with hug tech removed Blight will now be a tiny tiny bit below Spirit. So Bottom A tier

*tells killers to play high skill characters*
*names a character that throws small stars at people*
No but seriously even on those really hard skill killers, ur still at an automatic disadvantage. There is not a single meta killer perk that is better than ANY of the meta survivor perks. It's insane how better off survivors are, it's not even funny.
Im a pretty good blight but I do abuse hug techs quite a bit. If I could get used to not running shadowborn I could slap on Ruin, Undying, Corrupt and Pain resonance for eg with double speed and literally 3-4k 95% of my games, tunneling, slugging, camping included.
My main build is Shadowborn, Agitation, Corrupt and BBQ with blighted rat and crow and I 4k most games.

This needs to be quoted, because it's not often commented on. Low-skill characters SHOULD have a lower skill ceiling. That's the trade off. But I think the argument hasn't even gotten that far. It's still at why are MOST killers outside even what many consider a playable threshold?
As a double engravings Hillbilly main I can say that mobility makes atleast 70% of the killers in this game garbage against good SWFs on coms. The mind games you need to do against good survivors are so redundantly ALL THE SAME with the majority of these killers except for the ones that require mechanical skill which are Nurse, Hillbilly, Blight, Oni, Huntress and I guess Spirit to a degree. The rest of the killers I didn’t mention are going to STRUGGLE against good teams plain and simple. P head is pretty strong but even still.. It’s amazing to see these thousands of hrs survivors get curved by me around shack or L and T walls because hardly anyone knows how to play against a good double engravings hillbilly.
-
If you go against 4 really good survivors, all 4 of those survivors are going to escape especially if they are on coms, however there are killers like Nurse,Blight (sad to hear the news of hug teching getting removed) Huntress, Oni who with enough practice can possibly 2-4k against those good survivors. You guys can’t expect to win against 4 good survivors as pig, clown, myers etc.
That’s the problem with 80% of these killer mains on this fourm is they want killers that take hardly any skill buffed but are to lazy and don’t want to put in the time towards killers that actually take skill..
-
I play blight on PC but still use controller on 100 Sens just to get 120FPS, you can still do 180s and 90s on controller as long as you play on 100sens easy. All i really ever do is hug tech as much as possible and 90 flick with crow and blighted rat for addons. Hug teching is pretty braindead to do with practice but still requires a bit skill and map knowledge. Instead of completely removing hug teching the devs should just add collision similar to what they did around the right side of shack entrance. The square piece of sheet metal has collision on it and Blight can’t hug tech around shack easily anymore. There’s a white truck on Azarovs with a green tarp over it that you can only hug tech around from the left side because the right side has collision on the side mirror of the truck trying to hug tech around it.. Mclean designed Blight and Hug Teching was an accidental fun flaw that made blight more enjoyable to play. It would be quite sad to see this mechanic get removed…
-
A lot of Decent Oni players need Akitos Crutch to be even able to flick further like that which is what I’d assume that particular oni had or Anzen Talisman, you might’ve been able to presumptively dodge wide left of the log coming around and he could’ve missed you but how’d you know that oni was decent enough to hit a flick like that? I’d watch Lipy on Twitch to get a better understanding on how flicks are done from the Onis perspective..
Get S#%T on lmao..
-
Lo pro chains and double engravings are still way better then Turning add ons

Killer mains: “Blight is too hard to play and Nurse is even harder”
Also killer mains: “ I keep sWiNiNg at the survivor who runs straight towards me all the time but I keep missing cause of that stupid deadhard perk and then they just vault the window DeRp”

People still play plague?
-
Trickster is very very unhealthy for this game. I’ve been saying it ever since his release. No matter how good of a survivor you are you just eventually go down. He seems very underwhelming in certain loops but for the most part there’s really no counter play other then just pretty throwing safe palllets and hold W… very boring killer to go against.. Nemesis, Pyramid head, and even demo are also sleeper to go against too since they can just hold m2 and if you vault you get hit and if you don’t vault well you still get hit…
-
I think shadowborn is only good on Huntress, Nurse, Blight and Hillbilly and helps utilize their raw mechanical skill better. Making shadowborn base kit/ adding an fov slider would be a buff to those killers as then they could simply run another boring slowdown/ chase perk. This might not be a good idea but I’m also for it at the same time. Idk…
-
I still to this day don’t understand why they made his terror radius 32m from 24m.. other then that slinger needed to be nerfed. There was hardly any counterplay to how ridiculously fast he could ads and shoot you.
-
Freddy takes hardly any skill to play and what was in his kit pre nerf was pretty ridiculous. Fully ignored BT when survivors were in the dream world oblivious, didn’t get slowed down when spamming snares and boring to go against add ons like swing chains, jump rope which offered even more game slowdown.. Good riddance to old freddy. He’s still pretty decent in all honesty post nerf..
-
The Artist is gotta be the most unfun killler to go against next to nemesis and trickster. No let’s not make the dire crow hit box bigger..god no. Nice bait
-
I think killers that hold down m2 to get free zoning on survivors is an unhealthy design eg: Nemesis, Pyramid head, Deathslinger, demo holding his shred, huntress holding her hatchets etc..
-
Those builds don’t justify the skill of the survivors using them though. Are those survivors skilled and knowledgeable enough to greed pallets, body block, combo gyms and pallets together etc cause those things are more annoying then those builds imo.
-
That map was god awful. Lerrys and RPD should’ve went with it..
-
Double engravings and lopro chains are his only fun add ons though and viable against good survivors.
Curving/flicking survivors with double engravings around loops and skybilly is basically the fun meta on him now and pretty much has been since…forever even before overheat.. Increasing his base turn rate would just be dumb considering there’s add ons for that already.
-
The classic “I used turning hacks with Hillbilly” when I’m using only double engravings lol..
-
COH again is only used to bully inexperienced killers… it’s not op and there’s counter play. COH is next to useless against a good nurse/blight or any killer that can keep consistent map pressure with good macro gameplay.. 95% of survivors in this game suck and can’t run any good killer for no more then 10-25sec from full health state before going down. Im terribly sorry you didn’t 4k as pig on fractured cowshed, better luck next time..The majority of good killers that aren’t braindead down survivors faster then the survivor actually blessing the damn totem..that’s the ironic part..
-
Can’t skybilly on top of shack anymore sadly :/
-
Treat trickster as if he has a mini gun which is realistically his power, the longer you’re in line of sight the faster you’ll go down because the longer he holds M1 the faster he throws his knives , It’s similar to the mulcher weapon from gears of war if you’ve ever played that game lol..
-
Ahhhh yes, finally someone who actually wants to play a killer that takes skill instead of crying on these forums about how they got 4 manned out as legion on Fractured cowshed.. There are guides on how to play blight on YT but there are also other strong killers that take skill and are also fun to play like Hillbilly, Huntress, Nurse and spirit..
”It’s not about how hard you can hit it’s about how hard you get hit and keep getting back up” Because eventually those survivors will actually be fun to go against.
-
Not a survivor main but killer perks that synergize together will be annoying to deal with as a survivor for eg: Ruin/ Undying, Deadman’s switch/Pain Resonance, Spirit fury/Enduring, Agitation/Starstruck, Haunted grounds/Undying,
Singlular perks: Franklins demise and lightborn
-
COH is only used to bm inexperienced killers in the grand scheme of things. Deadhard used to get distance against experienced killers is very situational.
If anyone has gone against a very good killer like for eg: a cracked blight or even a good pyramid head player maybe 4k+ hrs etc killer main mindset, yeah survivors don’t really have time and can’t afford to keep placing boons down especially when they can get snuffed in 1sec compared to the 14/28sec of the time it can be placed which is precious time that could be spent on a gen if your team is going down quickly..
I keep telling you guys, if the devs start nerfing survivor perks this game will die faster then it already sorta is.. They already got rid of stretched, let’s not get greedy now…
-
Prior to/during Freddys nerf the only things I would’ve nerfed/removed are survivors being automatically oblivious when in the dream state to hard counter BT and I guess decreased movement speed when placing snares that’s it.. I don’t know why addons like swing chains and jump rope which punished survivors properly for even being in the dreamworld to begin with got reworked…Jump rope and all 4 survivors in the dreamworld with swing chains was 2.5 stacks of old and new thanatophobia right? Nothing crazy imho..

yea i did i looped her for 30 sec without even being infected then i work on a gen with meg she worked on it with me (both of us infected) she cleansed 15 meters away and started working on the gen with instantly after so she got infected from the gen like 10 sec after cleansing xd
yea i know pallet stuns removes the power but its hard to pallet stun someone that knows it too they play pretty laid back and respect
Yeah killer in this game is hard to play
-
There’s really nothing you can do to stop inexperienced teammates to not cleanse.. When plague is her vile purge you should hold w to a four block gym/ long wall gym etc cause it’s hard for her to use her puke at those gyms and as you’re looping you can make it think you are going to loop/greed one more time as she has no los on you and as you pass the jungle gym pallet you need to time a vacuum pallet stun by 180ing around to face the plague and vacuum stun her out of her vile purge.. it’s a very comp pallet stun that also requires the proper frame window to time. You stun killers faster with pallets when you face them rather then slamming the pallet looking behind you.
-
The anti hemorrhagic syringe and styptic agent have both gotten nerfed awhile ago and trust me they used to be broken, those add ons are fine the way they are now. In the hands of a really good survivor it can be annoying but at the end of the day are there any survivors good enough nowadays to even make the syringe worth it? Unlikely…
-
Nemesis is bugged rn, there’s times where there’s no animation while he’s pulling up his whip and as a survivor you have to guess if he has his whip pulled out or not. The zombies are so quiet around corners of jungle gyms and if your not paying attention you will get hit. The zombies also zone you away from pallets and windows making it even easier for nemi to down you. This killer is resident sleeper to go against… Again any killer that holds down m2 to get free zoning on survivors is unfun. Huntress, Demo, Pyaramind head, Nemises, Deathslinger etc…ZzzzZzZzzzZzzzZzz
-
Killers don’t need to try when they run 4 slowdowns..
-
DHing for distance actually takes some calculated skill especially against a really experienced killer.
-
Too many killers complain to much about survivor perks. If the devs start nerfing survivor perks the game will die faster then it already is.. Still crazy to me how so many people don’t want to take the time to learn and develop mechanical muscle memory and skill with either Nurse, Blight, Huntress, Spirit, Oni or Hillbilly.
Those killers are so strong against good teams especially Blight and Nurse.
I personally think that 95% of survivors that play DBD currently are awful and inexperienced.
Underrated post^^^
-
The more you start to nerf survivors the faster the game will die. Wish people would keep that in mind.
There are killers like Nurse, Blight, Huntress, Oni, Spirit and Hillbilly when put enough time a practice into you can 4k almost every game just through raw mechanical skill. This isint mentioning running 4 slowdowns either.
-
No, Jason Voorhees or bust.

You misspelled "I've never even tried to play Twins."
I’ve played twins many times. I run corrupt, sloppy, deadlock and no way out. Toy sword and victor movement speed add ons. Hit the first 2 survivors with sloppy change to victor and simply let the slug spree begin.
-
The twins are simply unfun to go against, literal slug fest and zero counterplay to victor.

All killers are boring to go against
True especially now that stretched res is gone. Survivors against any 4000+hr sweaty killer main have zero chance
-
@FlameGNG said:
its annoying as hell i've played stretched games for 10+ years and i cant play without it playing killer now feels super weird with blackbars covering 40% of my screen while survivor doesnt really matter... literally the "problem" vas more vertical fov as survivors which you probably managed to patch idk the gain is minimal on 1440 1080... but why the hell do we killers get blackbars?? and as a twins main why doesnt victor have one?
This!!! Why in the hell wouldn’t the devs just shadow remove 1x1/below and Jesus config and keep even 1600x1080. Or atleast get rid of the black bars I hate looking through microscopes..
-
No clown is boring to go against.
-
Nurse is overpowered, broken, busted, outdated, boring, unfun and miserable to face especially playing against a cracked nurse.. If you’re even remotely a decent nurse all you do is slap on haunted grounds, retribution, ruin and undying and you can literally have all four healthy survivors on the ground in 60sec… Nurse needs to be nerfed to the ground and the overheat mechanic on hillbilly needs to be removed so an actual fun killer to play against and that has counter play can make more of an appearance in matches.
-
You guys should be blessed nurse and hadnofunfield is temporarily gone… like what?

There’s a rumor she can’t blink though walls anymore.

Those perks aren't Slowdown
2 of them are Gen Regression, and the other 2 are Gen Blocking
Thanatophobia, Dying Light and Gift of Pain are Gen Slowdown.... Sloppy is Healing Slowdown... TOTH is Totem Slowdown
I call out players when they won't actually call things by the right name...
Those perks slowdown the game..
