Just to see how strong she is, I'm curious.

I’d rewatch Hexys BOTB tournament on YouTube and see how TricksterShadow and Fingerguns use certain mind games against tourney level survivors as spirit.

I'm pretty bad at survivor, I only play as them occasionally. Usually what happens is that one or two people are on death hook by three gens, nobody's making generator progress, and most of us are injured. At that point, is it worth healing, or should we just push generators?

Well based off your name I’m assuming you’re a killer main, so why not do things as survivor that irritate you when you play killer. For eg: pre run early off the gen to a safe tile, greed pallets (pause in front of the pallet) and if the killer respects it time for another loop after you’ve looped it twice, toxic swap to a flashlight and go for cheeky flashlight saves, learn to run shack properly, good survivors can run any decent killer at shack for 1-2 gens before slamming god pallet. Abuse main buildings, dead hard for distance to a safe vault/pallet.. Iron will at long wall gyms is disgusting and for combining gyms/tiles.. Play smart and optimally. Pre slam pallets against deathslingers and pyramid heads. If your at L and T walls fast vault over and then maybe slowvault over again to mind game the killer a bit. Dumb tech the killer every now and then to throw them off.

  • I personally think solo queue survivor especially at red ranks is down right miserable, however a killer that’s up against a good Swf is also miserable. Sometimes if the killer doesn’t have enough snowball, map or early game pressure and the gens are poping left right and center they’ll usually play in a particular way like proxy camping, tunneling, slugging etc. I’m going to tell you that a good Swf WILL run DS, take hits/ body block and unhook the survivor with borrowed time while the other survivor does gens. The killer will tunnel the survivor after the borrowed hit who will then hop in a locker, the killer will eat the DS, the survivor will get to a strong gym. Run the killer for the last gen or 2 until adrenaline pops, run the killer to another gym/ safe pallet/shack, their fellow survivor will 99 the gate, the other 2 survivors will body block for them, the other survivor will open the gate and help body block and the next thing you know all 4 escape. Cause let me tell you there’s PLENTY of situations like that where survivors use incredible teamwork to escape.... This game can seem killer sided at times but there are really good SWF teams out there..

It has been over a month now, and the hit boxes are still terrible. I get hit threw windows while being so far away from them, and still getting hit threw pallets. I think their delaying the fix for as long as possible because more people will play killer. Well guess what, so many people are leaving the game because of this period.

The hit boxes have never been better imo especially after the awful d sync issue before the last update.. This to me sounds like a ping issue on your end. I’ve greeded windows and pallets properly and the killer swings and misses almost 80% of the time and with Spine chill and resilience (vault build) it’s even easier..

  • I play almost every killer equally at Rank 1. Leatherface against a good Swf isn’t the greatest. Good survivors will combo gyms/ loops and vaults. Bamboozle is decent on him but on a map like coal tower for eg you could chase a survivor into shack, they’ll vault, you block the window, they’ll then go to long wall gym close by you chase them, block the window they’ll then go back to shack etc. If you play around windows correctly bubba can’t do much but just m1 by force and then his power is useless. But I gotta admit I destroy bad Swf teams for sure easily. But against 4 good survivors he honestly can’t do much that play safe.

  • Oni imo at rank 1 gameplay against a good Swf/survivors is usually a gamble for winning, depending on the map you won’t get to use your power until 2-3 gens pop minimum, good oni players rely on snowballing the game quickly with infectious and lions fang. During his power if you can’t down anyone or down only one survivor because of strong survivor rng, you pretty much lost.. again this is going against good survivors at Rand 1 gameplay.

  • Ive been pretty vocal about this, as a console player on the series x it’s pretty miserable going against a PC huntress, nurse and blight with a brain. I feel like there should be a DPI detection cap on those specific killers. Getting pretty tired of getting beamed by a PC huntress on 1800 dpi..

  • The best Legion build arguably right now is: Pop goes the Wiesel, Thrilling Tremors, Surge and Enduring.

Ive 4kd many good Rank 1 SWF teams with this combined with good map knowledge/ sense.

  • I feel like with these awful hit boxes currently, survivors are just cheating to compensate.. I’m on the Xbox series X and these PC losers are honestly so desperate to win.. From stretched resolution to just hacking with 45sec instablinds, invisible survivors, 45sec head on stuns, infinite 7%haste from start to finish, it’s honestly unfun. Atleast 1 of every 7 games I play there’s a cheater. PC should be removed from crossplay.

I"m tired of just not getting good teammates who don't wanna do gens and what not so I need good builds for solo queue. NO kindred

It’s hard for people to answer your question when they don’t know how much map sense and experience you have as survivor in general. If you can run killers very well with very minimal mistakes I’d recommend vault build: ( spine chill and resilience) Iron will and Deadhard. Feel free to swap out spine chill with Borrowed time or Decisive Strike.

Trying to learn Plague has been really stressful with this kind of matchups. It's hard to believe there were no survivors of a lower rank than 1 to fill those slots. My killer queues are instant but it feels like beginner killers are just getting thrown to the wolves so that high rank SWFs can play.

I wonder if the green rank was the host of that lobby, just by looking at the perks seems to look like a 4 man SWF and because they had a green rank hosting they ran into you due to similar rank/MMR.. I personally think this was done purposely by the survivors to avoid red rank killers and to practice more against less experienced killers.. I could be wrong though..

It’s not so much the corn on cold wind maps it’s honestly blights POV itself which the devs said is an exploit and will be addressed sometime in the near future. The corn shouldn’t necessarily bother you if your used to playing on cold wind all the time, some killers really reap from the corn like for eg billy where he can just come from an angle that the survivors honestly can’t see due to being blinded by the corn and get insta downed or ghost face who can pop shroud and literally remain almost unseen due to the corn or deathslinger who can pre ADS and shoot survivors through the corn because they can’t see to try and dodge a shot. Again I play on a monitor so it’s a lot easier for me personally to see survivors due to only have a 24” visual aspect on everything with 1ms response time.

  • @Alphonse said:

I tried to play a few killer matches, the gens are done very quickly, until I find a survivor I am ready 2 gens, I am in Chase I get stun another gen done .., I get to do 1 hook the whole match and I take bully with lanterns, at final writes that I'm trash and that ez .. the game gives me a headache .. it was more fun in 2018, of

This saying holds so true: “it’s not about how hard you hit, it’s about how hard you get hit as killer”

  • I think trapper has an extremely unfun and boring play style to go against.. I feel trapper should start with all his traps, but when a survivor steps in his trap they keep going but go into mending state even if they are injured and not get instantly downed or stuck after the 7th attempt of escaping not freeing themselves. Once stepped over the trap will disappear after 20sec (eg) and respawn in trappers kit again.

  • @supersonic853 said:

How do you respond when Noed DOESNT ACTUALLY activate? I feel with the constant "nerf noed" id like to see the other side of the spectrum on the people who do run it and actually get outplayed. I never run the perk its a perk i have banned myself from using but in most cases id probably just say "respect,You did more than gens for once" lol. Anyone else? (Also side note with detectives hunch+inner strength ive healed myself 5 times a few games and nullified noed while doing it. Do the dang bones!)

Really no difference from undying getting cleansed first and then ruin within the first 50sec of the match starting, It’s detrimental, especially if you know your up against a good Swf. With noed not activating at the end and especially if you as a killer struggled to down a single survivor because they played really optimally on mothers dwelling or haddonfield for eg, it sucks. Killers like trapper, wraith, clown, pig and doc almost rely on noed coming into red ranks for the first time or just simply don’t have enough experience downing good survivors that have thousands of hours in the game.

  • Mothers dwelling, Haddonfield, Badham preschool 2, Wreched Shop, iron works are all awful killer maps. I’ve seen double pallets on preschool and Macmillians and Sanctum of wrath rng sometimes has shack vault into long wall vault and there’s just simply nothing the killer can do to catch a survivor who can combo that together well..

  • I don’t know what you guys are talking about, i recently played a game as Freddy on wretched shop against a good Swf and I must’ve kicked at least (no exaggeration) 11 safe pallets, breakable wall excluding shack pallet. Unlucky rng?

As we all know, Deathslinger sucks. It's mostly because there's barely any counterplay against him in chase. My idea is to weaken him the same way Huntress is balanced. First, make it so every time Slinger raises his rifle, it makes a loud CLANK sound. Judging by the many oil add-ons he has, it's safe to assume that he doesn't exactly oil the redeemer that often. Second, remember those clinking cowboy boots in stereotypical western movies? Give those to Slinger.

Now how does this change anything? Simple, it gives Slinger most of Huntress' weaknesses which the latter is always the generally favored killer.

Now about undetectable. The most annoying part about this effect is that survivors can still hear you. It's especially annoying since Wraith is loud as heck and Myers has asthma. Here a suggestion, make it so the killer is unable to make sound cues while undetectable. It makes Beasts of Prey and Night Shroud useful during chase, the former on Huntress since it is her perk. This shouldn't affect the killer's power since Iri Brick already exists and we're looking forward for the Spirit phase glitch to come back (By that I mean noises created by the killer's power like revving the chainsaw or ringing the wailing bell. Noises from the killer created by them using their power such as Huntress holding her breath, Demo roaring after a shred, or Nurse screaming after a blink are suppressed).

If there needs to be lore reasons for this then fine. Huntress is a hunter so it would make sense if she would have knowledge on how to sneakily approach her prey. Pyramid Head would lift his great sword about an inch from the ground. Demo would learn to walk on his toes (Some big cats do this if I'm not mistaken). Myers gets an inhaler with limited contents (And scratched mirror gets replaced by "The Beast's Inhaler" or something). I can go on but what do you think about this idea?.

I couldn’t imagine using beasts of prey over monitor on slinger. A decent audio cue before slinger is about to shoot his gun is when he’s reloading his gun prior to shooting. Survivors that listen to it play more safe/ pre slam pallets and will juke wide left/right depending what angle they’re being chased from.

Is it normal, even when I do well with Trapper to lose the bloody coil add-on? I played a few games with him tonight and kept losing the add-on even if I 4k with 28K and get Ruthless. Yet, when I do well with The Doctor, I get to keep the red add-ons when I do well with him. what gives?

Normal, but at the end of the day you should try to get better without relying on an ultra rare add on all the time. Trapper bag and Decreased setting time addons are always a good choice. That way you’re saving more bp in the long run and honestly going to win more game.

  • I think the skill check should be harder to hit when the survivor purposely hops in a locker and slow vaults while decisive strike is active. I personally think DS is pretty good where it is and to be honest most really good survivors usually run vault speed build with Deadhard and iron will

  • But not every killer main plays Freddy, spirit or nurse all day long.. If I choose to play killers like legion, demo, wraith, bubba , clown etc.. i really don’t want to go against survivors based on the true high end mmr obtained by just playing an “A tier” killer like Freddy and get stomped when I decide to transition to a different killer.

  • I can’t believe people aren’t mentioning springwood.

  • Mostly every match I play as r1 survivor the killer runs ruin undying, sloppy and corrupt/BBQ. Solo queue against a sweaty Freddy/Spirit is down right miserable.. And when I play r1 killer I’ll get the occasional SWF on Haddonfield or Springwood II as a mid tier killer and it’s miserable.. There’s still a few unbalanced issues but for the most part it’s getting better for sure..

  • Wraith should just have Yellow/Green windstorm in his base kit and demo should have rat liver in his base kit. Done.

After playing quite a few games on the new Ormond... I have to say I still have trouble in it.

Thankfully loopswise it's much more fair, the filler pallets are now unsafe. But the map is still incredibly big, the generator spread is ridicolous, scratch marks are still hard to follow and survivors still tend to spawn very far away on top of a gen.

In short, the chases are better, but defending gens is very complicated.

I disagree, the new shack is much easier to mind game as killer due to survivors having a constant blindspot, the doors once broken within the main building make the vaults unsafe for survivors, there’s seems to be more L and T wall gyms and four lane gyms which are the most unsafest gyms imo for survivors and the filler pallets are mostly unsafe.. I think with all that said compensates for how big ormond is..

  • I personally don’t have an issue with the size and rng on the new autohaven maps the issue I have is those maps are so god damn dark! It’s extremely hard to find and have a consistent sight on survivors and imo autohaven has been more or so survivor sided due to rng except wreckers yard and proper strategy on resting place..

He's anti loop. Don't be a bot and you basically turn off the survivors controller. Can't see and can't move. If anything, he needa a nerf. Idk why we're focusing on passable killers. M1 babies like wraith and hag are dogshit, they need to see some changes

Hag is arguably the 3rd best killer in the game..

  • I think everyone should just use clown with solvent jug then and just call it a day and no no every survivor they down screw it..

  • Dead hard is still quite easily countered. Just wait that extra couple of seconds when you catch up to the survivor after the first initial m1 and bait it out.

  • You can counter spine chill . For eg: if i play pig or Myers and I get a bbq/discordance reading just look to the side/moon walk and move towards the gen at the same time that way spine chill won’t light up on the survivors screen. I’m gonna be completely honest most good survivors who actually run spine chill will run it with resilience for vault speed..

    Hi,

the PS5 version is great! But i only wish there was a UI scaling feature under options.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/MHAV4VFBMYRP/dbd-ui-scale.jpg

Top shot is from the PS4 version, below is the PS5. From two meters distance to my TV i can´t read the player names and most description text is too small too. The PS4 version had perfect size for all icons and text.

Would it be possible to add an accessibility option for us old farts to increase the scaling of the UI elements?

    Thanks!

Do you also notice the depth of view/pov/ui for survivor/killer is a bit closer to the screen? The devs need to equal out the ui just like how it is on the Xbox one x/PS4.

  • Brutal, Enduring, and either the combo of ruin and undying or pop and sloppy/corrupt

    Windstorm and swift for addons

In my original post I mention the issue they had previously but it was fixed fairly quickly so I never switched down to 1080 on the 1X. I have only had my settings at 4k so I can't comment about field of view at 1080 or 1440 with the series X. With 4k setting on the only difference is the smaller UI. Any other series X players having a depth of view problem on 4k settings?

Oh that’s why so you’ve been sticking to 4k. Well did you not notice a fov change since they scaled the ui for 4k settings back in 4.0ish? The fov in 4k since then has been waay to big for me. See before the executioner came out 4k fov/ui was equivalent to 1080p/1440p

  • @darwinsbrain said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1756941#Comment_1756941

Definitely on the series X. Upgraded from the X1X which already had a graphics enhancement. Did you upgrade from an og Xbox 1? Perhaps it seems more zoomed in because of the smaller icons/UI? Did you change TVs? Depth of view exactly the same for me, just a shrunken UI. Been playing since launch day on Xbox and I have never seen a change in the depth of view. From watching a number of gameplay videos on youtube it looks like the smaller UI is a problem on Xbox series X and PS5. Series S still looks the same.

Well I play on a 4k monitor on xb1x and everything including the depth of view was perfect all up until around 4.0 when the executioner released along with the new scaling for 4k.. so I had to switch down to 1080p then enough people complained about the depth of view being too close so the devs reverted the depth of view but only on 1440p. And now here we are with the series x and the dov is too close on 1080p and 1440p. I’m telling you the screen is down lower too. I used to be able to see the top of killers heads on the hay stack loops on cold wind and now I can barely see them...

The depth of view hasn't changed, only the sizing of the UI. Icons, menus, bloodwebs, etc are all much smaller. The camera distance has remained the same. Does anyone know when a fix is coming for this?

You might be on the series s because the depth of view has changed on the series x 100%

  • The better you perform as killer/survivor in a game the more bp you get. I average 1million bp in 4-6 hrs of straight grinding killer. The skill gap in this game is so massive.. what’s the point of obtaining all the perks through a shortened system on every killer when your just going to get destroyed by good survivors because you have little experience..

  • The overall killer/survivor and in game needs to be shrunk/ further away from the screen and the perks/icons etc need to be bigger. It’s almost like there needs to be an equal/median interface adjustment to fit the screen properly on 1080p/1440p.

  • Look at all these fake comments. I swear if there was a red box in front of them they’ll try and argue it’s blue....

Deathslinger is miserable to go against. There’s very little counterplay especially at windows/ four lane gyms, T and Ls and unsafe/fair pallets..

  • Another thing to add to this is the icon/perk ui is so small in game and in the menu and also the character model in game seems increased where as before I could go back to 1440p/1080 and have a further away character ui..

Also is anyone else’s bloodweb glitched to where you can’t spend any bp into the web?

  • Are the devs going to do anything about this? Survivor is currently unplayable

  • This new ui scaling makes survivor unplayable. The character model takes up waaay to much of my monitor
