For me it’s nothing but Neas and it just so happens I’m working on getting my Nea to p100 lol. I’m in zero rush of getting my survivor to p100 because not all the time but most of the time in higher level play killers tend to play alot more sweatier when they see a p100 in the lobby :)

Otzdarva has a great video on YT that explains your very exact discussion.

If I’m spawning in close to the 2 story house I’m immediately breaking the door to shut down the 2 god windows. You shouldn’t really be patrolling house of pain gen and main building gen unless basement is spawning main and not shack. Preschool 1 compared to 2-4 is less safe for survivors just because the street opposite of shack is a literal deadzone for survivors with 2 gens.. Luckily for you there’s not a lot of survivors who know how to run preschool well enough to get any real value out of it atleast in my experience playing killer on that map.

To go quality over quantity?
I have long been very forgiving and positive about new releases, and have been a fan of content that hasn't been the most popular.
That said, this new chapter feels more like a rushed placeholder than fully designed content, for a myriad of reasons that are being discussed in detail. It's paper thin.
With both the killer and survivor rosters already robust and only getting bigger, would it make sense to reduce the number of annual releases? It has often been proposed to skip a chapter in favor of "game health" updates, but I am thinking just permanently reducing to 2-3 new chapters a year simply to spend more time on them.
I look at this chapter as something we absolutely didn't need; releasing content for the sake of it.
The problem with going Quality over quantity is obtaining rights to popular licensed franchises isint easy. This game would explode if we got Jason with 2 counselors and a Macmillans camp crystal lake map variation. Having 2 licensed DLCs a year would be better then currently in my opinion..

I always hear killer asking for map balance when it comes to survivors sided maps what makes is that I heard shelter woods is getting a rework and honestly its long overdue. The map variations only spawning 5-16 pallets is literally not fair for survivors and its not fun for survivors either.
When you say spawning only 5-16 pallets that’s very subjective and only useful based on how good the survivors are. Yea shelter woods can be ruff for survivors but its always been ruff for killers too. There’s rock filllers on shelter that string into jungle gym vaults and string into shack window that string into another rock filler etc.. so it all depends on how the survivors hold w accordingly..

The only survivor item I’ve had a problem with is medkits with addons. It’s pretty gross how fast they can heal after breaking los with the killer with a strong medkit. I also think running a pink key with blood amber is corny.. Brand new parts are cheesy I guess..
Killers have alot of unfun boring addons to go against as survivor but these just stick out badly,
Blight: Compound 33, Compound 21, Alc ring
Spirit: Mother daughter ring
Clown: Pinky finger
Trapper: Iridescent stone
Huntress: Camping hooks with Iri head
Hag: Rusty shackles
Myers: Tombstone piece

I think hillbilly once passed the skill gap can be very strong against good teams,
Lo pro chains with doom engravings, Corrupt, Bamboozle, Dead mans switch and Pain resonance can be quite nasty and is easily the only killer out of this list that will give good swfs a run for their money!

Why? you chose the map, if you get downed instantly and d/c?! not only do you ruin the killers match, but the survivors as well. please for the love of all that the entity oversees, tell me why?
Somebody Disconnecting could mean a number of things, let’s be a bit more optimistic here, that person could’ve had to deal with a family emergency and had to DC, their dog or cat might’ve ran outside and they had to DC to chase after it before it gets hit by a car, maybe that person threw up all over their gaming setup cause they ate somthing bad etc.. you never know why that person DCd. So just because someone DCd on the map they specifically bought doesn’t mean they DCd cause they don’t want to go against a specific killer they don’t like.
-
You will need gen slowdowns unfortunately on m1 killers with no mobility. When I play Blight, Billy or Huntress it’s usually Lethal Pursuer, BBQ, Shadowborn and either Agitation or Enduring just cause those killers are so strong and don’t need gen slowdown perks, but these damn survivors and their distortion make Billy angry 😤😂

Starting to main her. I play on console and usually main blight, pyramid head, and sometimes play dredge and nemesis. Really liking her as she has a learning curve. Getting snipes on people is satisfying and just like her general feel. Although I feel like her add ons need looking at as they are mostly useless and weak. The only ones that stand out for me are the severed hands, oblivious add on, cooldown add on, and maybe the mangled/ hemorrhage add on. Other than those I can't find value for anything else that fits my playstyle. The build I like is dead man's switch, thrilling tremors, resonance, and bbq. What are your thoughts on her as a killer main or survivor main, and do you agree with me or disagree with my stance on her add ons? Would love to see a change to her add on kit but that's just me.
Please don’t go from a Blight main to an Artist main, the only killer imo you should main over Blight is Hillbilly. As a survivors pov going against Artist is straight up boring…I do respect you playing Blight on controller tho, are you on 100 sensitivity?
-
In higher level play, You can’t expect to win as Myers, Pig, Clown, Trapper, Wraith for eg and the reason why is because most m1 killers if not all of them take little to no skill to play you’re just tapping and hold buttons in such a braindead way to get hits/ downs on survivors.
Blight, Hillbilly,Nurse and Huntress for example require developed mechanical skill to outplay good Swfs in such a unique way that you’ll often come out on top compared to the majority of killer arsenal when you get over that skill gap.
-
What about higher map prioritization? For eg: if I’m loading in as Hillbilly there should be a higher chance that I’ll get Autohaven or Macmillans by idk..10% for peace of mind.
-
No amount of time played or perks will ever help your escape rate % go up unless you’re with a coordinated team on comms that slam gens properly without getting 3 gend and can macro tiles effectively against smart killers. Like having someone being chased and them counting down from 3 sec before they go down to avoid eruption on a gen is huge for example.
-
It’s definitely gotta be Hillbilly, against good survivors if I can get a few cracked curves against them with double engravings before they slam 5 gens that’s good enough for me cause I know billy isint an easy killer to use. The majority of juicer survivors just run to shack and fast vault to get my attention to 1v1 at shack anyways as soon as they hear Billy’s saw go off beginning of the match lol.
-
The killers weakest point is the beginning of the match when all the resources are up for survivors and strongest end of the match. If you can get rid of ALOT of pallets before 3 gens pop regardless of getting your first down that’s great! Corrupt will help with this, no way out is a great end game perk. If you can’t down/hit or get rid of pallets within a 20sec window you need to go somewhere else and chase a different survivor.
In the highest MMR, there’s really only 4-6 killers that are viable against 4 good survivors. Every other killer plays the exact same where you just m1 and follow through with another m1 and with some of these maps you want to be playing killers that have mobility like Blight, Billy, Nurse etc. Huntress and Artist are very very strong against good survivors too. But all those killers I’ve mentions take skill and a lot of game knowledge to play and this is the problem.
-
Let’s not turn a blind eye here, Blights base kit is Upper B tier, with addons such has, Blighted Crow, Compound 33, Alchemist ring, Compound 21 on top of his base kit he becomes upper A tier. Addons shouldn’t distinguish a player hooking survivors easier vs hooking survivors through raw base kit especially compared to the majority of the other addons killers have. With that said, Blight takes quite a bit of skill to play and the ceiling to learn proper bump logic is high. If the devs were to ever nerf blight it would be his addons just like nurses.
You need to play Blight against a good group of survivors to truly understand the skill ceiling it takes to down them with your power compared to 90% of the other killer arsenal out there.
-
I have around 7500-8000hrs on DBD and I think a good example of a game that’s comparable I used to play on Xbox before I switched to PC was Gears of War. In gears of war if you wanted to elevate and take your skills to the next level you needed to learn how to do something called wall bouncing where you’re hip firing with your shotgun all while looking around and sliding from all to wall at the same time hence why an Xbox elite controller was the best for this cause it had a paddle on the back that you could button map your slide button to make my it easier to control and look around at the same time.
This has inspired me to play Blight! Learning how to use proper bump logic, hug tech, and flick properly to hit really skilled survivors around pallet loops requires you to take it to the next level..
-
Nothing will ever compare to how much play time each role has. For example, if you’re a skilled and patient enough survivor you can loop 90% of the killer arsenal by just having a small rock filler pallet that strings into an L and T wall on shelter woods thats surround by nothing but oxygen and tree trunks for 2-3 gens.. Dead dawg has always been a solid map for survivors in my opinion, with holding W as the new meta now since basically Pyramid Head released killers tend to always struggle against survivors who just simply hold w to different tiles and a lot of the maps where survivors can hold w against strong killers like Huntress, Hillbilly, Blight etc makes chases difficult.
-
Taking a break is always a good idea. Have you tried learning to play Hillbilly curving with double engravings and shadowborn? Maybe becoming a cracked Blight main? Taking a direction into competitive DBD is a decent choice and just something different.

So the literal infinites in old dbd are also a skill issue?
Very very few survivors knew how to string jungle gyms together with infinites back in the day untill the devs started taking action around early 2019 when the bracket of people that knew how to abuse god windows got bigger and bigger and bigger over time and certain maps that had infinites like ironworks, suffocation pit, rancid etc got reworked/nerfed..Before anyone complains about “new”deadhard remember old Balanced landing??
-
If anyone has played DBD years ago, I think it’s safe to say the game has never been better then before lol. You guys seem to keep forgetting that the majority of player base has gotten a lot more skilled compared to when the game first came out and the devs simply had to adjust. Yea old decisive strike was better for survivors except for the 2% of survivors that were cracked that could hold a chase for more then 15sec it was downright broken.. Having 7 blinks back in the day with recharge addons as nurse was only OP to the 0.3% of players that actually knew how to play her properly.. Whats your point??
-
There are definitely some good and bad things that come from content creation. Some videos that have been posted on social media have given the developers some very good feedback on what’s broken/imbalanced.
-
After the Knight released there has been so much random rng around ALL the maps and gyms. From random picnic tables that spawn in unusual places on ormond, to stacks of tires that fat shame you around shack, gyms etc on autohaven, random stacks of crates that force the survivor and killer to go around that were never there before on Macmillans, it’s annoying..
-
Try playing killers that take a lot of mechanical skill such as double engravings Hillbilly or Blight, even Huntress and Nurse.
-
That will be another $25 skin just to rep on a C tier killer… no thanks
-
I’m going to be kinda honest, it’s nice to play against sweaty survivors as killer and 1-2k with 5-8 hooks for eg and get a bit frustrated and then relax a couple games later due to the survivors not being as good as the ones you previously went against. It’s a balanced mix. If I went against nothing but sweaty survivors because I was a good killer it would simply be exhausting and unfun.

I am genuinely dead because of this understanding of what we wanted for 6 years and what we received.
We all wanted to not see Dead Hards anymore every game, make it more skillful that was a nice addition but that was not the point and that's why I myself am really angry. Why are people surprised the community is upset? You may love your Dead Hard and think it requires skill but does it really matter if it did not hit the idea of "shake things up", like the devs said and like we all said for 6 years?
It did shake the meta up tho, you can’t DH for distance anymore which was the biggest complaint from a killers pov, you have to now actively use DH accordingly which has now caused kill rates to go up which has now changed the way survivors have to path around tiles..
-
Uncapped frames is whitelisted along with reshade and the ability to still play on stretched res without the vertical advantage to get better FPS.
-
If you wait, tap m1 and time it properly just after the survivor uses their DH beside a pallet you can down them just within the eye frame bracket between them using DH and slamming the pallet..
”Ruin, noed, Pop nerfed to the point where we never see it anymore”. That’s cause every killer and their mother is using, overcharge, eruption, call of brine and Pain resonance now instead so not much has changed there.
-
Killer has never been easier to play now and as a result survivors are going to slam gens more productively now ever since 6.1 released.
I really don’t miss old ruin, undying, pop and corrupt. The only slowdown now I find annoying is eruption.
-
Azarovs and Macmillans for killer and survivor
-
Billy for fun, love the feeling of curving survivors and sound of the chainsaw sprint I guess.
Blight and Nurse for strong power and fun to play with huntress as honorable mention
-
Nurse base kit is balanced imo, blink recharge addons and blink range addons need to be nerfed/ re worked and nurse will be in a good spot. The skill ceiling for nurse is high making her not an easy killer to play against good survivors.
-
The removal of Billys overheat mechanic. 🙏
-
“As long as you don’t chase expert loopers too long” That’s the problem. In higher MMR that build a going to be very hard to cope with good survivors as all they are going to do is just hold w and presumptively predict your going to vault the window because you have bamboozle. Macmillans is probably one of the worst wraith maps in the game as those loops just make you an m1 killer against good survivors. As for your three gen strat it’s going to get stomped by potential energy if you even manage luckily to put yourself into that predicament as wraith.
Id rather stick to a more generic build such as: Pain resonance, sloppy butcher, Deadlock and no way out with Windstorm and swift for addons to get ahead of survivors and block them from getting to a pallet or vaulting a window.
-
BHVR as always does an AMAZING job making new survivors, killers and maps look aesthetically great, but the gameplay that comes with it seems to be just a dull hold w, slam gens and get out as quickly as possible and hopefully the next killer will be more fun. When I played Hillbilly back in 2019-2020 survivors would hardly ever leave jungle gyms/ filler pallets and you would be able to land some nice curves. But now it’s just predrop hold w to another pallet rinse and repeat.. and this is all based off of gameplay design.
-
To this day the only thing that Freddy needed nerfing was the oblivious status when survivors were in the dream world His teleport is balanced and his snares were quite strong but not op. Jump rope and swing chains were addons that slowed down the game a bit but it was nothing crazy. I was one of those players a long time ago that switched to Freddy when I saw a sweaty Swf/ survivors lol.. Freddy now is not as strong as he used to be forsure..
-
I wish people would play both sides equally so that way there would be more perspective and understanding towards the other side..

What about Agitation base so we can actually hook people?
No because killers would get to their pain resonance faster and waaaay more consistently..
-
Does anyone remember when they nerfed, ruin, corrupt, pop and pain resonance so killers wouldn’t be forced run as much slowdowns? Yeah me neither..
-
The only killer perk that could maybe be considered basekit for killers is shattered hope.. But I strongly disagree with any killer perk being basekit tbh..
-
I wouldn’t go as far as saying your dying because the so called “SWF” is leaving you on hook over their teammates. In all honesty if you were playing with a separate Swf you would’ve got unhooked a lot faster then playing with 3 other solo queue players which is what I think is actually happening in your case. As far as being on the same console there are multiple platforms such as Nintendo switch, Xbox, PlayStation and PC, so just because you see the same globe beside their name doesent mean they are on the same platform..

Hunt: Showdown X Dead by daylight.
New skins
For deadslinger as a hunter.
Several survivors skins as other hunters.
The butcher as Trapper.
The scrapbeak as Wraith.
Definetely dope collab
Yea I like this, and they could graphically rework backwater swamp in conjunction with the hunt showdown bayou. It’s still no Friday the 13th with a camp crystal lake map but still a great idea.
-
I would treat trying to stun a leatherface in mid chainsaw sweep the same way trying to pallet save a fellow survivor, it’s literally eye frames of timing.
-
For me all I ever used was fizz spin soda and caged heart shoes and never looked back.. When you play killer for thousands of hrs you tend to run the same 2 add ons for all the variety of killers you play because they perfectly aid you to all of your algorithms of gameplay playing that specific killer downing survivors.
-
Does anyone know what happened to the ping indication bar that used to be on the bottom right of the screen anyways? Yes I’m lazy to re read all the previous patch notes..
-
For me it’s gotta be Artist, Trapper and Pyramid head, those 3 killers to me are sleeper anti looping killers..
Honorable mention: The Dredge, Trickster

requiring skill doesnt mean it shouldnt be touched, Hillbilly required MUCH MORE mechanical skill to play because u needed to understand every single object logic to know what u can use to turn and what not as billy teqs in certain maps aswell and didnt stop BHVR from nerfing him, Nurse needs a rework aswell its time.
I still stand by to what I say, blink range and recharge addons need to be de tuned but nurse base kit is pretty fair for the most part. You need to constantly keep blinking to your survivor which constantly opens up counters play windows for survivors where as billy you can just get bloodlust and m1 survivors, with nurse you can’t do that the majority of chase. You’re crazy if basekit nurse is broken and needs a complete rework, it’s her addons that simply need adjusting as was Billy’s only they added a mechanic on top of his addons being nerfed..
-
Whether people hate it or not, nurse takes mechanical skill to play, if anyone has gone against good survivors playing nurse it can be quite frustrating especially on some maps. Does nurse take more skill compared to Hillbilly, Blight or Huntress? Hell no
