I have motion sickness so i have to run it on all of them. Not much of a choice. Kinda why ive been pushing for it for years now. (And why its been my pfp for like 2 years)
Are you on PC? Would playing on 1600x1080 help? I play on that and it helps a bit and you get better performance 😎
-
Built in fov slider so most Nurse/Blights can run another slowdown instead of shadowborn… Could be good, could be bad, as a Billy enjoyer shadowborn for me is a must and it would be nice to have a slider in settings, but we can’t overlook the reason why shadowborn is a perk, it’s only good on Huntress, Blight, Hillbilly and Nurse, every other killer doesn’t benefit from it.
-
I can’t play Billy without lopro chains and Doom engravings against good survivors or survivors I know are going to play boring. Double engravings is a fun somewhat viable meme way to play………..and that’s about it imo for the only 3 addons that are viable in high MMR lol.
-
You can still locker save a survivor with a flashlight ONLY if they slow exit the locker and the killer grabs them. You can still locker save normally with a flashing
-
Thompson House and Torment creek are pretty tolerable for killer infact I think those 2 variations of coldwind are more killer sided imo.
-
Who uses empathy? If someone is purposely using bond/empathy for the sole reason to troll and show the killer where you are cause they want to team, that’s a reportable offense and that’s really all you can do..
-
Like what do you mean timing cooldowns? I’m all ears, pop goes the weasel timer? Or when a survivor uses repressed alliance over a gen, reassurance on a hooked teammate or trying to wait out BT after a survivor gets unhooked?
-
Yup Wesker has a bit of mobility and a skill ceiling which is a very nice combo for a killer to have in their kit. I’d rather play Blight and Hillbilly personally just because I find them more fun to play but there’s always room for a couple wesker games forsure!
From a survivors pov he’s kinda a strong hybrid of Deathslinger and Demo when it comes to using his m2 and with that being said on top of what’s included in his kit that survivors also need to watch for I find him kinda annoying to go against just because of how much he has going for him. The most irritating thing about wesker is you get punished for looping him too long if you’re infected cause you’ll get hindered.
-
People are going to throw rocks at shiny objects and it’s been like that since Halo 2 first came to Xbox live, the only difference is is you could say way nastier things towards a younger audience playing online back in the days compared to now and there would be hardly if no repercussions for your actions so people would do it more frequently. MW2 pre game lobbies we’re out of control!

Competitive gameplay has nothing to do with how dbd is played, usually banning perks and addons, and even victory counted differently. Thats not real gameplay.
Real gameplay is at pub games, without any kind of restriction, and thats where killers like Blight cant ever lose a game, on top players hand. I wouldnt surprised if he wanted he could make it 10k+ win in a row, Blight with addons so broken.
But there is a very big favoritism towards blight, and commonly abused to get free and easy wins, never get nerfed, and exploits still there years later.
Pubs is not real gameplay, there can’t be a favoritism towards a killer that requires a developed skill ceiling. Blight in competitive gameplay is balanced due to restricted addons and perks. Blight in pubs is fake for the most part because of how unrestricted you can be.
If that blight went against a comp team on Garden of Joy and played the same way he did to get to 1000+ wins in a row with the same build in pubs he would lose where as if he played against the usual group of survivors during his win streak on garden of Joy in pubs he would win by a mile.
-
Getting 10 wins in a row in competitive gameplay against survivors who actually know how to counter blight is way more impressive then getting 1000 wins on a row against pub survivors who run and cant look behind them which was pretty much all his games trust.
-
The thing about myers and ALOT of other killers in this game is his power is just pretty much auto pilot, you hold down a button to get your power to 99 and try not to forget to tap the button when you’re close to a survivor to instadown them in tier 3 …. ta da 🪄. It’s impossible to mechanically mess up playing that killer especially compared to playing Blight for example. So you’re just capitalizing on survivor mistakes over and over and over and over again without any presisional skill..
-
Blights skill ceiling is the highest in the entire game. Hillbilly is more mechanically demanding all the time we’re as blight it’s just developed muscle memory. Most good blight players will run blighted rat and crow with a generic build like Lethal, BBQ, Shadowborn and Agaitation/Enduring. It’s very satisfying and fun dodging a blights flick or predicting a hug tech and dodging at the perfect time when they flick cause you just know when they are going to do it.
Is it cringe running 3-4 slowdowns and playing for a subway gift card in pubs when you’re already cracked at blight? Yes..
-
I personally hated Hawkins laboratory, it played so poorly, again aesthetically the dev team does an amazing job with everything in their game to make it visually appealing, so that part i miss forsure!
-
Friday the 13th would be a nice uplifting chapter with a camp crystal lake map included with 2 counselors and Jason cause this game in its current state right now is very stale especially playing survivor.. No other DLC would compare or come close into brining this game back to a healthier state that would keep the majority of the community wanting to keep playing the game.
-
Funny fact: That blight player is on a competitive team, his own team stream sniped him @ 957 wins just because they were so bored watching how awful the survivors were from 1-957 wins. They ended up losing with 1 gen left I believe and it was a very close entertaining game. All the survivors had awful chases and zero map awareness but his own team that stream sniped him through out that entire win streak. Even when I was watching him streaming I was like “what are these survivors doing” It’s truly appalling how awful most survivors are in DBD in high MMR or not..
-
DH nerf was a significant buff to killers, DH should’ve had a progress bar you had to work towards to use DH i.e getting pallet stuns, blinding the killer, fast vaulting while being chased etc the options are vast. DH is a chase perk and fun for players who have experience playing the game to use. Being able to only use DH in its current state 2 times is horrendous. SB, Lithe, BL etc are situational and very boring perks to run. Survivor gameplay is becoming stale especially against the new hit and run sloppy playstyle and the 45 min long skull merchant matches cause tome challenges… I’m getting truly lost myself going down this meta shift path of boredom..
-
Damn if that seriously triggers you that much I’d hate to see how many killers reported survivors t bagging after pallet stuns 😅.
It is bad manners sure but maybe you did something to that killer giving them a reason to?
Here’s a list of bannable offenses:
-
Well you just answered your own question of “your” definition of griefing. The really only thing that irritates me personally is when playing killer and the survivor will purposely keep going back to the same area after they wiggle free cause I just simply can’t get to a hook and I’m forced to leave them on the ground when I don’t want to. Killers that body block you into a corner as survivor and afk is gross.. These don’t happen alot so don’t worry.
-
Yeah he’s a bit more viable to curve against good survivors giving him more chances to actually curve rather then overheat…the feeling of having to really sweat hard against good teams with double engravings to land curves is still there though and most of the time Billy just falls short compared to most other killers. This buff to billy in my opinion is more for lopro chain and doom engraving users cause you overheated way faster compared to using double engravings He’s still a top C tier killer but even more fun to use now :)

I come to you not as a survivor main, not as a killer main, but as a truly 50/50 player. Please someone at BHVR hear me because I feel like every person and every 4 out of 5 streamers that I've talked to about this thinks it's a good idea.
Make Dead Hard a charging perk, like Flash Bang, or Blast Mine. People earn charges by progressing the game like doing gens (1 gen = 1 charge?) or unhooking teammates (1 unhook = 1/4 charge?)
What this does is three fold:
1 - It still limits how many times a survivor can use Dead Hard. Even if he did every single gen on his own that would still only be 5 uses. Rescues every hooked player 1.5 uses (1.75 if you count 1 of your own unhooks)
2 - It makes people EARN Dead Hard by actually naturally progressing the game, instead of just running around like a jerk and letting Exhaustion expire only to do it again. There's no abuse of the perk at the sake of the killers sanity.
3 - Gives you more than 2 attempts (yes, not uses, attempts.) because just you being unhooked doesn't guarantee a successful Dead Hard, the killer could still tunnel you. You can miss-time it. The Killer can wait/bait it out. You can Sprint infinity times, Lithe Infinity Times, etc... you get the drift. Why is Dead Hard only attemptable twice?
The only possible downside I can think of is that it will encourage gen rushing, or unhooking etc... but thats what survivors are supposed to do anyways.
I know this means practically nothing, but Otz, Spooky, and other streamers I've asked/talked to all said "That could work" or "That actually sounds good" 1 Streamer said "not good" but it was about coding/programming more than the viability of it.
Please someone at BHVR look at this, and if it doesn't make sense, no harm no foul. If it's impossible to do, no harm no foul, I just want it seen because everyone I've talked to about it thinks it's a good idea.
If you're reading this, thank you for hearing me out! I really do appreciate it.
-3ggs_n_b4con (I'm cringe-ily signing it because I can't change my name that I'm aware of and this is an old as heck one)
I like this a lot. The usage of DH is in between what you’re saying and what DH currently is but not as strong pre nerf.
-
DH was hardly never an issue if you were an experienced killer, just as the same with dealing with “bully” squads. Killers have been proxy camping hooks and tunneling for years. The worst part of it all is the majority of survivors don’t know how to deal with a killer that just proxy camps the hook all game long. You need to do gens, that’s it. The more survivors that try to go for an unhook and body block early game the easier it is for that killer to snowball the game because nobody is doing gens. Reassurance imo is a god sent perk because that’s 30sec of free gen time. The more gens that get done the less time and window that killer has to obtain pressure.
Im telling you guys, you need to punish killers that proxy camp hooks by slamming gens, 3 gens should be done by the time that survivor hits second state, then 2 survivors come in for the save while another slams a gen. It should boil down to protecting that last survivor with the last gen almost done and opening the exit gate in that bracket..but survivors would rather just get either downed by the hooked teammate trying to unhook or grabbed off trying to unhook or dance around the hooked survivor, waste time and put up a boon by the hooked survivor, etc.. and all that killer is going to do is slug, tunnel the unhooked survivor and hook them again but with 4-5 gens still up rather then only 1-2.. It’s so simplistic and easy that it’s hard 🤔
-
Having 600hrs isint enough time to pin point on what’s really making you have a rough solo queue experience. I can tell you right now that the majority of survivors (85%)especially in high MMR against a smart killer usually don’t do so well because they don’t know how to run jungle gyms, string tiles together properly or run perks that help them waste the killers time effectively in a timely manor. It’s all about split pressure on gens and knowing what you have to work with when the killer starts patrolling and unfortunately most survivors don’t know how to do gens nor loop effectively against a good killer, LIKE NOTHING GETS DONE BUT TIME WASTED IN THE KILLERS FAVOR… simply.
-
Ever heard of oak haft huntress?
-
How many hours do you have playing killer? What killer were you playing and what map were you on?
-
For me personally as a Double engravings Hillbilly main i just go for some nice curves and if the final outcome is only 6-7 hooks with no kills but all those hooks were fun curves and the survivors were juicers then thats good enough for me. I had fun and I know that the survivors had fun because hillbilly is the funnest killer to face in the entire game.
-
The code is MASTERMAKER for his shirt, redeem it in in game store :)
-
There’s always room for improvement especially against a good team of survivors, if you finish a killer match against a good coordinated Swf with 1 hook for example always think what you could’ve done better to get 4 hooks or even a kill. Maybe start to invest time to learn killers with high mobility like Nurse, Blight or Hillbilly. There are some awful maps for killer 100%, but that doesn’t mean that just because it’s a “SWF” it’s their fault that YOU couldn’t do anything..
-
No killer or perks will ever ever ever ever equate to the amount of time and experience you have developed playing against good squads. There no such thing as a “Bully” squad when you’ve learned how to counter all the tricks that those survivors do by just playing the game.
-
You can always just either force quit on PC or dashboard on console without getting a penalty if there’s a map you don’t like going to as soon as you see it in the offerings screen. The majority of survivors usually just bring macmilllans, coldwind or azarovs and those maps maps are fun or killer and survivor. Coldwind can be ruff forsure. If you sense a Swf that’s gonna bring a map offering just use a sacrificial ward.
-
”Survivors should not spawn on gens”, pretty bold statement considering in higher MMR it’s nothing but 3 slowdowns lethal pursuer Cracked blight players with Blighted crow and alc ring or Nurse players. Having a survivor spawn on a gen and have the other 3 spawn in the middle of nowhere isint a bad thing at all. I play a lot of blight with lethal, and for the most part it’s usually only 1 survivor that’s spawning on a gen sometimes 2.. Shroud if binding would have a higher chance of spawning multiple survivors on a gen at tue start compared to without it. Trust me when I say that it’s good that a survivor spawns on a gen at the start because they are going to need all the gen progress they can against a sweaty blight with lethal or nurse.
-
I think tricksters fun to play especially on m&k, there are loops in maps where you literally can’t do anything against good survivors that tight loop. The main building on shelter woods is pretty much an infinite against him if the survivor knows how to loop that structure correctly.. Against good teams you’re going to find yourself just camping hooks and forcing trades. I would just keep playing huntress personally but that’s up to you..
-
When you down a survivor with clown, all generators that are above 30% progress reset back to zero.
-
Blights skill ceiling is quite high, and the counterplay is just prethrowing pallets and camping them accordingly if he’s rushing and timing sliding back over the pallet for him to break the pallet instead of hitting the survivor as they’re vaulting over the same time he flicks. This is done in a lot in competitive play.
I will say this, compound 33, Alchemist ring, Compound 21 and Blighted Crow need to be nerfed. Those addons paired with slowdowns paired with a blight whose overcome the skill ceiling can be oppressive as hell even with a Swf. On maps like autohaven, Macmillans etc it’s hard to counter a good blight who brings all that. Chad blights will just run 1 perk either shadowborn or Agitation with Blighted rat and crow and that’s fine and fun for both sides..
Whats Momoseveniths blight win streak at now? 750 games in a row plus? 🤪

We weren’t talking about comfort though - I agree it’s way more comfortable on controller.
what exactly are you meaning with binary though?because M&K is binary (either not moving or moving) while controller has a response curve where you have pretty much slower acceleration, strafing isn’t as potent etc.
Yeah it might be the opposite controller ( non binary) m&k (binary) my fault, , Like for example, if I’m looping a killer who mind games on a Macmillan pallet filler tile I can tight loop and maintain motion fast walking while holding the sprint button to get to the pallet ever ever so slightly faster on controller compared to m&k (binary).

I am playing on PC. Started on controller in 2018 (and used to controller since forever in other games)
recently i switched to M&K for DbD - and I can confirm it’s WAY easier to run around tiles and assets on M&K compared to controller on both sides. Spinning and looking behind you is easier to learn on controller but overall not more efficient or better compared to M&K.
and there are other killers that have an advantage on M&K over controller, actually most of them - Oni, Plague, Nemesis, Pinhead, Pig, Deathslinger , Twins, Demo, Wesker, Pyramidhead (though this one as well as Hillbilly is actually based on preference on not objectively easier on M&K), to a way smaller but still noticeable degree even Doctor, Legion and Clown
I can’t see m&k being more comfortable and way easier to play compared to playing controller comfortably on 100 sens. Binary movement vs non- binary movement on a third person pov- Binary will have an edge 100%

PC has programs like reshade , console doesnt....
True but all reshade does compared to built in monitor filters is make the game look more vibrant and saturated, brightness levels are pretty much on par with monitor filters that console can use.

only difference is the framerate and the external filters that basically allows pc players to see the maps more clear and less darker unlike console
For the love of god BHVR pls add a brightness slider , PLEASE
You can change filters through your monitor which has built in filters playing on console

You put all your effort; repairing generators, injuring/healing survivors, hooking/unhooking survivors, etc. but it isn't enough. You get this conspiracy running through your head "Oh, BHVR made this system so that players continue to play this game." even though it might be not true, it's still a system that discourages you, thinking you are not doing 'enough' and the feeling of uselessness or being worthless in the game.
Why this flawed system hasn't been discussed by the devs yet makes me wonder. Is there a reason for keeping this?
Boldness should give survivors the most xp towards piping up.. which is going to bring me to my next point, I don’t think you’re getting much of that or very very little of it based on what I’m reading.. Getting chased by the killer is the funnest part of survivor and untill you get to that stage I wouldn’t worry about piping 😉
-
Playing on an Xbox series x or PS5 as survivor imo has a slight advantage over PC due to playing on controller cause you can hug loops tighter more consistently cause of the binary movement and controller is easier to play against good nurses. This is all 60FPS btw. A PC player that plays survivor on controller at 120FPS uncapped will have an advantage over Console in that aspect.
The only 4 killers in the game that have a massive advantage when you play mouse and keyboard with them over controller is Nurse, Huntress, Trickster and Blight to a degree. Playing every other killer on 100 sens on console @ 60FPS isint that much different compared to m&k.
I feel sorry for people who play Dead by day light on an Xbox one or PS4 cause y’all are only getting 30FPS
-
Crossplay off died pretty much since sky billy got removed from the game..
-
The devs are getting ALOT of feedback and as we all can clearly see, The Hillbilly changes to engravings, and the increased time to heal are the most noticeable changes that nobody wants to live servers. Hopefully a few tweaks to those 2 changes will happen come live servers.
-
DH got nerfed way to much imo. That perk hard countered inexperienced killers and killers with high mechanical skill like Huntress and Blight. But that’s the thing, DH against a good blight for example is like hitting your decisive strike skill check, you hardly got any distance, even against a good oni or Huntress. You hardly never got to use DH against legion and killers that ran certain addons like original pain for Pinhead etc.. You couldn’t use DH with OTR, you couldn’t use DH after being hit after you got unhooked 2 -5 sec afterwards if the killer chooses to tunnel cause of the built in endurance, there’s far too many situations where DH is just straight up useless.. Deadhard against experienced m1 killers like wraith, Trapper, Clown, GF, Skull merchant etc was so effortlessly waited out by good players.. I’m more upset at the Hillbilly changes but yeah DH got nerfed too much..
-
The only sensible QOL changes that hillbilly needed were death engravings basekit without charge time and chainsaw sprint animation reduction by 0.5 sec or more…
What changes were people wanting otherwise is beyond me lol..
-
My least favorite chapter/chapters is anything after Project W and my favorite chapter is Descend Beyond, Blight is by far the best Designed Killer by a literal land slide and it’s not even close.
-
I think it’s a little bit of all of the above but more so leaning towards maps. The majority of killers that are below A tier excluding Hillbilly hardly take any skill/ no skill at all to play. You can’t just buff Legion for example without considering that legion will perform better on Autohaven wreckers yard compared to Springwood.
-
I think your issue has something to do with inexperience on your teams end and the killers end. If the killer is camping hooks because they are too scared to leave and are afraid they might not down anyone else if they leave then there’s not much you can do, because currently if the killer is camping you while hooked and you are solo queue your team in order to get you off the hook safely will either have to bait out a hit while fake pulling you off the hook so they don’t get grabbed trying to unhook you , get hit and trade with you or have another survivor body block the other survivor that’s unhooking you so nobody will go down while trying to get you off the hook. Having survivor teammates try to do what I just said while solo queue is like getting struck by lightning…
Thats why I hate perks like STBFL, it’s a cringy crutch perk that screams don’t leave the hook if you have 6+ stacks, I wish the devs would nerf/rework that perk into something else. If it’s a leatherface you might aswell try and attempt to unhook yourself and go next..

I just wish all the dodging didn't end up borking the matchmaking so badly. We all know they prioritize lobby time over MMR quality. We all know the system just grabs the next available killer once a certain timeframe passes. And we all know those backfills usually result in a newby killer being rolled by veteran survs.
We are actively doing it to ourselves, knowing it'll mess up matchmaking and lead to horrible new player experiences. And we do it anyway, to benefit ourselves and/or protest other aspects of the game.
I really do feel that this is a reason why the killer experience is miserable for most.

@MadEyePopo said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/365608/lobby-shopping
I know you are talking about "exerienced" killers, whereas I just started playing DBD about a year ago. I think BHVR is trying to do something about this, at least in the lower ranks.
For instance, on rate occasions I will run a Med Kit with the Built To Last perk. Almost every time, I get matched with a killer that is running Iron Maiden. I am not convinced that survivor builds is not a factor in choosing which lobby a killer gets sent to.
As for killers dodging a lobby as their only recourse, I disagree. the game now allows you to have 3 different loadouts pre-prepared. On some of my killers, I have load-outs that contain Franklin's and/or Lightborn for when I see 3 or 4 flashlights in a lobby. Much more fun and fast to switch to a new load-out than to dodge and re-queue.
Yea but perks and loadouts don’t really play a determining outcome for a win if the killer is inexperienced compared to the experienced survivors they go up against..
