We are machines, all of us...
And what does a machine do when too much is assigned to it? When too much coal, too much ink, too much information is forced violently through its channels?
Why, it stutters, it chokes, finally, it shuts down.
Where do they put the broken machines?
There is only one place.
-
The auto aim is definitely bugged. I had a killer who couldn't hit me multiple times even though on my screen, he's hitting me with his weapon but somehow the game isn't registering the hit.

Anyone remember when they showed rank and character level in lobby? Then they removed it presumably to reduce dodging. Then they added Prestige lol.
Yeah and nothing has changed for the better.
@Pulsar said:
Yeah, it's getting pretty ridiculous
Give P100's a skin and give us the option to hide Prestige Levels.
Yesterday and today, I had so many lobby dodges and survivors or killers disconnecting at loading screen. This has to stop.
@Veroles said:
Prestige levels shouldn't be shown in general imo because that only misleads and does affect some players playstyle even before a match starts. In a lot of my killer games i have a harder time against low prestige survivors than with people with high prestige, ironically. Not always, but in average.
When i play survivor, a lot of killers seem to have their focus on pretty weak survivors and take the prestige level as indicator what causes pretty weird decision makings. I have games where the killer chases me for 3-5 gens just because i am the only one who is not high prestige and i am like: "What the ?!?!?! are you doing".
In another cases, when the killer is a blight or nurse, they love to tunnel the high prestige survivor out, simply because they can.
All of this is just 🤦♂️.
It's pathetic isn't it? There will be no end unless Bhvr finally is getting rid of showing prestige levels globally.

At no point did I say that I don't understand the problem. Again, the last sentence is only to say that it's important to explain your reasoning if you want to have a constructive conversation. I'm not here to convince you of one thing or the other. I do my best to stay out of balance discussions completely, but I will pop in to point out misinformation when needed.
I don't know why you insist on trying to make me some bad guy when the only thing I haven't said anything to disagree with you, but trying to suggest that I don't understand the problem (when again, I haven't said whether I think there is or isn't a problem) because I'm bad at the game is frankly a very immature way to go about it.
At the end of the day, I'm here to convince the dev team that whatever y'all have to say is right, not decide if I agree with it. "If you disagree with me, you're bad at the game" is never going to be an argument that convinces anyone.
Nobody is making you the bad guy here. I want to understand why someone that played Dead by Daylight since Alpha don't understand that exhaustion perks are a huge problem in this game. Dead Hard has been finally nerfed after so many god damn years of agony but survivors have already adapted to it and now they use it again especially in high MMR. Adrenaline is now the new meta and since gen rushing has been at full speed, and regression perks has been nerfed (except for Pain Resonance but whoopdiedoo it only has 4 uses for every unique survivor and by that time, 3 gens has already been completed + you have to go to that specific hook to activate it), you can see all their injured to healthy state, or from dying state to injured state.

I have played this game since the alpha, even streamed it several times a week. I'm not your enemy, I'm not sure why you feel the need to make things up. The last sentence isn't trying to convince you that they aren't strong, it's just to say that giving reasons why you think something is a problem will lead to more constructive discussions.
Let me explain you in finer details so you can understand the reasons why exhaustion perks are a big factor of the game's current problem.
Exhaustion perks are ways for the survivors to extend chases or forcing the killer to chase another survivor only for the killer to risk running against another survivor with an exhaustion perk, that is readily available to use at any given moment. This extension allows other survivors to repair generators, now with the UI update, survivors can see which survivor is being chased, which makes it easier for solos to do gens at peace. SWF use these perks at full potential and efficiency. You, as a killer, has no control over it whatsoever. Fearmonger literally gives the survivors control over Sprint Burst by keeping the last bit of a second of exhaustion, then slow walk and sprint away when the killer gets too close for their own good.
The fact that they have infinite amount of use, except for Dead Hard (2 Hook states) and Smash Hit (Limited Pallets), makes it so disgustingly good that lots and lots of survivors are using it to their advantage. Basically, having no exhaustion perk is bad. Everyone, even their grandmas and grandpas, are using exhaustion perks in their loadout. I don't know how anyone can deny that. Exhaustion perks are strong and always will be the strongest survivor perks in their arsenal. They can extend loops even further, they can outsmart killers, people can use techs.
The killers that doesn't really give 2 hoots about exhaustion perks are Nurse, Blight, Wesker and, partly, Legion. Why? Because they have mobility. They don't care. The M1 killers though? They suffer the most from it.
-
Uh you mean Technician, right? Not Tinkerer. Eitherway, I made posts about it but like you said the devs don't care.
-
@lav3 said:
Yeah. I can't wait to see Fearmonger, Sloppy and SBFTL will be gutted next.
Slowdown perks like Ruin, Pop, CoB should have been rebalanced at the same time but "Killers don't need any slowdown perks." is what BHVR is thinking I guess.
Well, the matches has been absolute dogshit lately. All I can do now to stop genrushing is by slugging or hookcamping survivors. GG!

@Peanits said:
Just to chime in real quick, both the Killer perks and Survivor perks that we've toned down in the past few updates have seen a decline in usage rate, as intended. It's not just Killers who stop using a perk when it's nerfed, Survivors do the same. It might be harder to tell since you're the only Killer in your match, but there are still many who continue running those perks.
Beyond that, I will just say that you haven't explained why you consider them a problem (or why they will always be a problem), so it's very difficult to have any sort of constructive conversation about it.
If you played your game, you would understand the problem.

I love this title so much it made me laugh thanks

Killers or survivors body blocking survivor(s) all match until dc or match ends in 1 hour.
This is already bannable.
Abusing the gesture animation to instantly go to the dying state to avoid the dying animation, and recover immediately or crawl to escape boundary.
This is fine. It's just a tech.
360 spun to abuse Field of View esp. vs console killers.
What is this? 2017? 360'ing being bannable? What a joke.
That's not a technique, that's simply abusing the system.
Spinning a 360 mess up the auto aim from killers thus you're never able to hit a survivor, and it also distort your field of view.

I will pay them to sign a contract and I'll buy the chapter too. You can't stop me.
How does a DOOM chapter work in Dead by Daylight anyway? You can't make Doomslayer a survivor. Seeing Ash and Bill at its weakest form is just pathetic to me imagine Doomslayer with no guns or blades. ######### no.
-
A perk so weak that is also a hex totem. Either revert the nerf or make it a normal perk not a hex.

@GoodBoyKaru said:
...why would they remove it?
Nurse, Hag, Wraith, Artist, and Spirit are all original characters, and all abide by the rules of how powers are given in the Entity's Realm (namely, usually involving the Spirit World). Nemesis summons zombies from RE2 and RE3 (remakes), who can famously be blinded by a flash grenade.
Removing the interaction not only wouldn't make any sense, but would also directly violate some of the easiest lore-friendly gameplay it's perhaps possible to have.
Uh huh, you just want to see nemesis stay in S-hit tier.
-
No, I don't want these devs to touch DOOM. I will even pay them to not sign a contract.

I think they would have to add more things involving explosions for that to work though. Not a bad idea, just not really a use for it atm since there is a lack of explosions/AOE.
I believe when Sector 1: Dreadshore releases, we'll get more explosive traps. Don't forget, we also have Dead Switch mods for guards and self destruct mods for some traps.
This makes me think we're going to have a sea mine.
But it could be a new custodian. Beneath the mine looks like a torso to me.
-
Grappling hooks doesn't work through hardened skin corrosive cube or when you have guards or traps behind it, custodians can't shoot through it and destroy it.

both perks were just nerfed. what more do you want done? do you want them to make them non usable? if thats the goal. just take away all perks and addons
And the nerfs are nothing compared to the killer perks. The nerf to killer perks are unusable whilst survivors can use them without a hassle and CoH is better than ever before.
-
I think we're going to see a explosive ordnance disposal suit that makes you more resistant to explosives but it makes you very slow.
-
@Nirgendwohin said:
yeah right, all survivor should start the trial on the hook and only the 4% gang wins a chance to fight against the killer.

Who said I want easy mode? I want to finally see survivors using different perks instead of using the same perks 24/7 such as Dead Hard and CoH. Shits getting really old.
-
@Kalevi said:

I find none of the perks annoying though I can give you a list of perks that people really despise.
Survivors: Boil Over, Lithe, Sprint Burst, Dead Hard, Adrenaline, Boon: Circle of Healing & Breakdown.
Killers: Lightborn, Hex: No One Escapes Death, No Way Out, Corrupt Intervention, Blood Echo, Blood Warden, Coulrophobia, Fearmonger, Franklin's Demise, Hex: Devour Hope, Knock Out, Lethal Pursuer & Sloppy Butcher.

I thought having my tombs raided meant I'd lose resources on the first week of playing.
Especially when you break them and see loot fall out of it, so I blocked them with lava blocks and regular walls.
I only figured out it wasn't the case after seeing my second map tomb being raided with no downside on the replay feature.
Lets not call everyone toxic over missing info on the tutorial, shall we.

Building is pretty unrewarding. BHVR has "Accolades" in case that can help Builders feel like their efforts aren't for naught, but BHVR screwed up so bad on console that a lot of players don't even give Accolades.
I deactivated all my Outposts over a week ago and haven't re-activated them since. No one was Raiding them, there was no fun to be had in keeping them active. They mess with Rank, anyway, because every time some speedrunner was slummin' it to avoid dying in Brutal I was seeing negative Rank points after successfully raiding an Outpost on the first try (the game doesn't inform you that's why you lose Rank, but I figured it out after deactivating my Outposts and my Rank gains/losses stopped being inconsistent).
It's counterproductive for the Rank system to punish players for being ambitious: be perfect or go home. Players are reacting in a very predictable and negative manner that's hurting the game because, surprise, people don't like feeling punished and will try anything to avoid it.
I'm at Gold IV and more and more I'm thinking of stopping the moment I reach Master. Gold IV is a horrible grind. I was so happy to reach Gold III and be almost done, and then I saw Gold IV and really considered uninstalling right there. It feels like such a "screw you" to players.
Even raiding is getting worse by the minute. People are already massively exploiting the opaque corrosive cubes with a bunch of different traps behind it like bolts and incinerators. Throwing grenades won't help either because they have counter measures for that so it falls underneath the traps and there are more than 1 corrosive cube so grappling won't help either.
-
@Ἥφαιστος said:
Its rewards are bare to none. You're better off raiding because that gets you both more currency and you'll rank up faster. Building doesn't grant me anything other than 'hurr hur look at me I got kills on newbs' and then others speedrun through my base or abandon my outpost, or get 1 to 0 raids. Also building takes time and you'll lose more than gaining rewards.
I'm going to reach Master rank then stop playing. I'm at gold 03 so I'm close then I'm done with this game until late June unless they make building more rewarding and less punishing.
Yeah I have only been raiding and I only built once to get the max prestige trophy other than that nope I ain't building sh*t.

So like, I understand that with AMN buffed they can just throw down pallets over and over just to annoy the killer with notifications... but what is stopping them from just hoping in and out of a locker? Its quite literally the exact same effect but instead you can do it without the risk of losing a pallet
I also can't remember the last time I got a cheater, last video I have is back when they were VERY common and a hot topic where some guy did all gens instantly and left.
Never seen killers specifically getting disconnected either, nothing abnormal anyway
@GensByDaylight said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3399776#Comment_3399776
With the new ANM they are kinda rewarded to do it. Every pallet drop gives 500 BP, which honestly, should be one time only to discourage this.
That's not what I meant, but since I'm going to explain it, mods, please, don't ban me for this.
What survivors do with Any Means Necessary is one spamming it, then the other survivors run or stand next to it, then the AMN user keeps spamming until the survivor glitches on objects like stones or tables. They can't be hit by killers without a range ability so they keep the match hostage for an hour, and birds are literally flying on their heads until either the killer disconnects or the killer stays until the match forcefully stops after an hour.

- Cheap mobile trash using guerilla marketing <- We are here
Generally, I think that mobile developers should be kept away from regular human beings, and propositions like yours are the exact reason, why.
What exactly do you call "really good social dynamics" - using a bunch of typical free-to-play psychological manipulations, like FOMO syndrome, anxiety, random (unpromised) reinforcement and social pressure?
Let me just bring some quotations from the article you promoting -
... I’m convinced ZeptoLab benefits more from this system than the player experience. Not an easy choice I’m sure as a designer, but these sacrifices are sometimes necessary in a free to play game.
... During this time the gems in this fusing ritual are open for stealing by other players. This is the most anxiety-inducing timer in the game. A gem will be stolen unless they keep the game open or have amazing defences. I spent about two hours on a weekend keeping the game open while watching movies because I was too afraid to close the app and lose my gems.
... It also creates an obvious high conversion item for monetization
... Asking players for help to retrieve lost gems creates social pressure.
Why should Meet Your Maker devs implement cancerous free-to-play tricks in the non-FTP game? Just to make players feel bad and anxious? One of the best and most unique things about Meet Your Maker is the friendly and positive social dynamics, emerging from the fact that no one loses anything, and players can allow to themselves be cooperative partners in adventure, like DM and players in DnD games.
In short, Meet Your Maker is NOT some mobile trash. It's a normal game, people pay for it, and they deserve to enjoy the game they bought and to have an experience of a normal, player-friendly game, with no toxic retaining mechanisms like free-to-play titles use.
Lmao this comment is brutal but factual.

I will say the thing I like the most about this MYM way of handling being raided is that there is no punishment for losing. People don’t steal your resources. You won’t have To feel like you need to focus on killing more then being able to be creative and such cause your focus is not to get punished for someone beating your raid.
that's why I like that one can do the normal active or overdrive.
Yes, same. If they were going to do that, we'll be seeing infinite killboxes stacked on killbox outposts. No, thanks.

If you ask me they need another reminder like that one time when Coté visited South Korea just to get stomped by the local playerbase. Maybe then they'll realize how brutally imbalanced this game is for m1 killers.
When he was playing Hag? Hahaha I don't think he has forgotten but even then the devs made Hag weaker by giving survivors the ability to remove it without having to trigger it.
