  • I like shadows, just because I've used Whispers before, and I'm not a fan of constantly hearing it. But, we all have our own likes on perks. For me, Shadows is insanely helpful when I play GF because they never realise why I seem to intersect them when they try to sneak off.

  • DC penalties are still up. People just DC because 'Insert reason here'. Nothing new.

  • Jumpscare Hag - Rusty Shackles and Disfigured Ear

I've never personally seen these add-ons used by Hag's before so I have no idea what it's like, but from the way survivors react, it scares the crap out of them. Anytime I use it, I assume they don't hear my TR due to being 'deaf' and when I smack them they seem to panic run into a wall. It's pretty funny to watch.

  • I don't understand survivors who tryhard against killers who aren't tryharding, but hey, that just seems to be the game we're in these days.

The better you perform as killer/survivor in a game the more bp you get. I average 1million bp in 4-6 hrs of straight grinding killer. The skill gap in this game is so massive.. what’s the point of obtaining all the perks through a shortened system on every killer when your just going to get destroyed by good survivors because you have little experience..

People should have to grind for up to 6 hours just to earn BP though. That's the point of people complaining that the entire game is a grind. I like to play other games, not dedicate my life to trying to get BP

  • If you get a OoO on Midwitch, try get someone. OoO is so broken on that map and there are people who will abuse that fact. I've had it multiple times and each time I just give up trying. As for DC'ing because others did, well, you can't really complain for a ban in that case.

Hmmm, I don't hate the Doctor, but I think madness should reset to tier 1 when you're off hook. Makes tunneling too easy without much to do about it.

Oh, and the screams when you're down, because you can't get out of madness there too.

    For me, that's it.

Add on the fact if you just got smacked with BT while in T3 Madness and you're actually screwed unless you find someone to help you.

Personally, I've got no issue with Doc. He's a favourite of mine to use. I just really don't like the constant static effect on screen since that messes with my FPS on PS4.

  • I've maybe used that once or twice when I started 2 years ago, but there's nothing to show it really does anything so I don't bother. If they're on PS4 with me, I'll just send them a GG.

  • Head On is completely different. That requires you to be in a locker, and once you've had it once, the killer isn't stupid enough to fall for it again. DS is a problem because people combine it with Unbreakable and use it to basically do a gen in your face for 60 seconds because they're immune.

    Uhhh.

That one looks like she found an exploit to shoot through walls. There have been some bugs like that before.

I wasn't sure if it was a bug or latency. She was kind of laggy earlier in the match. She attempted to swing at me, but hit a Laurie 5 feet ahead of me somehow. Either way, I just thought it was pretty funny to see.

  • The grind is the one biggest reason I will never prestige again. The only survivor I prestiged was Cheryl because she's my favourite character (Since I'm a SH Fanboy) but I did regret it because I had to grind out EVERY perk yet again, but luckily it was at a DBP event so it wasn't too tough. If I do choose to prestige again, it's only when a DBP event is happening, because a lot of people use the BPS or past event BP items. If they maybe gave more incentive to P3 characters, like unique charms or a unique cosmetic beyond the usual bloody clothes, maybe I'd do it more.

  • Oni's for the pure brutality of it, and Ghostface just because I laugh everytime I see it.

  • In my 2 years of playing solo survivor, I've gotten it down to the following awful survivor types you will always encounter:

The Sneaker: They enjoy Urban Evasion so much, they're willing to let you die on hook so they can hide and seek out their precious hatch.

The Suicider: The most over-altruistic survivor you could meet, who enjoys nothing more than divebombing at you on hook so they can take their turn to play on it.

The Pallet Dropper: A classic survivor who will literally throw every possible pallet they see during a chase, and usually goes down within 10 seconds once they can't find another.

The Exhausted: A fairly decent looper but once they decide to use up that Dead Hard, they almost always run into a wall directly afterwards because they're too focused on watching your fabulous killer self.

This is me kind of making a little joke on the hellish nightmare that is solo queue, but I agree. Most times I'm dead on hook because they either stealth, or divebomb and I get tunneled because of no BT. I love this game!

  • Meh, fun is subjective. What one person finds fun may be a nightmare for another. Personally, I don't enjoy survivor anymore. It's become more of a chore than actually enjoyable thanks to the nightmare solo queue has become, along with the many camping and tunneling killers. I usually just play killer, mess with different perks and see how much I can mess with a survivor. My most recent was Hag with no trigger traps alongside 0 heartbeat. It made the survivors super paranoid which I thought was pretty fun. They didn't since they just kind of shut down and wanted out.

  • Makes me sad we don't see more of Demogorgo. Poor guy needs so much love! I usually see a ton of Bubba more than anyone lately.

Because that's when the SWF buddies have clear schedules for their full team, and despite all the arguments otherwise even the least sweaty full squads are ridiculously difficult to beat because there's a difference between "not being sweaty" and "playing with 3-4 decent players and comms."

That drive killers to.play more sweaty because ######### losing to what are depressingly often a bunch of arrogant shites (props to the teams that aren't, y'all're lovely and I appreciate you), and that drives solo and smaller SWF parties to play sweatier just as a reflexive response and that drives even more killers to be sweatier and it's just a clusterfuck of people that wouldn't ordinarily be tryharding but are because it's that or get steamrolled.

Pretty much this. I play on the EU servers, and early morning/afternoon, the games are so chill. Survivors are actually fun to VS, killers are more relaxed. The game is actually fun. But then as soon as it hits evening, the SWF squads hit the scene, and suddenly every killer is injecting adrenaline into their veins as the survivors begin to hoard keys, and killers prepare their moris.

I hear you. But, if I am hooked near the exit and have DS, it is possible for me to get out.

And you wonder why so many people have an issue with DS.

  • So that he couldn't just instantly fake then hit. It got a cooldown so you couldn't fake a POTD then hit.

  • I still use it even after 2 years of playing the game. It's fantastic in solo when I have no clue what pallets have already been thrown. It's saved me so many times!

  • I mean, if we go by the logic that Deep Wounds messes with you as he chases you, should we also nerf Legion while we're at it since he can do the exact same, minus the drag you off a gen.

I Really do not understand all this hate for Deathslinger lately. Is it because you finally got the PH nerf so Deathslinger's the next on the list or something?

  • NOED's bugged? I haven't heard anything about this before.

  • Myer's has finally transcended us in power and doesn't even have to look at you to kill you. Truly a man to be feared!

My guess is they have optimized the game to run a bit smoother on consoles. Which means that console players killed of boobies. Burn them!

As a PS4 player, I willingly throw myself upon your sacraficial fire. I miss my Clowns jiggles 😑

  • As someone currently trying to learn her on PS4, patience, patience and more paitence. You'll fail. A lot. And by a lot I mean say goodbye to your rank! I've gone from Rank 10 to 13 because I'm so awful with her, but I'm going to persist because I love Nurse. I get lucky and maybe get 1 kill, but it take a ton of practice to get Blinks down to a T. Using the Plaid add-on to see the location you'll blink really helps too.

Why would they do that? I'm not only looking for ranking up but mostly to play against people of my level and not depip 6 out of 7 matches.

Couldn't tell you honestly. MM has been borked for so long now it's like second nature to expect a rainbow in your match. Until MM is either fixed or MMR is re-activated, these are the kinds of matches to expect.

  • That's just MM working as 'intended' at this point. I'm stuck at Rank 13 killer because of the crappy system. I get maybe 1 yellow rank and the rest are always purples and if I'm super unlucky, a red gets thrown in there too. I feel like MM is cursed to keep people low rank!

  • It's a weird issue thats been happening for a while now. It's the server not quite registering someone in the loading screen quit and when it finally realises, it's when the match had already started. You don't get any points when it does this, even if you did load into the match.

  • I personally enjoy anyone who just plays the game and is overall positive. Not constantly bashing on teammates or the games issues, etc. Puppers is one of my favourite steamers/YT's because no matter how bad a match tends to go, he's always just so positive, and he's always having a laugh about it. Monto is also a good one, he just tends to be more humourous with his matches overall. I did used to watch Tru3, but he just seemed to ######### about everything, then double back on what he said when it went his way, and his community were overall toxic whenever someone pointed out something Tru3 disagreed with which made me leave that one.

  • GG, also, punctuation is your friend.

  • Saboing is still pretty good even without a hook offering from survivors. I've had plays where I've taken Breakout as a solo player, along with a toolbox for saboing a hook and managed to get a couple saves. There are times when the survivor is too close to a hook to get the save, but it is possible.

  • Brutality is attacking and breaking pallets/walls. Hunting is finding and chasing survivors, Deviousness is using your killers power and Sacrafice is hooking/killing survivors.

  • @AnnoyedAtTheGame said:

I gpt t bagges mid game so I also watched my survivor die on the hook.

Players have been asking for years for t bagging to be taken out the game but devs ignore the requests.

Or, here's a tip: Stop being so sensitive to pixels going up and down. Like, good god. Someone T-Bags and you camp them to death? That's just childish imo. Grow a pair and stop being so triggered over something that has zero impact on a game.

  • The same reason the survivors do it to the low rank killers. 'EZ games'.

  • So, the TL:DR edition I could barely make out in the wall of text was: PH bad because he can shut me down easily for my own mistakes?

I'm sorry, but PH is not this unstoppable force of nature you perceive him to be. Looping him multiple times around the same loop and you go down? Your own fault. ANY killer knows when you're going to drop a pallet or attempt to vault. You do it too late, and boom, free hit. That's on you, not the killer being too OP. As for his POTD, it's very simple to dodge, it has a clear marked area it's going to hit, and yes, you can sometimes be hit if you time it wrong, but it's not that difficult. The only times it becomes 100% hit, is when you decided to vault in front of him and you locked yourself into an animation. As for his cages, what's the issue? He bypasses your perks sure, but a good survivor shouldn't need to rely on them to win a match. Yes, a PH could just come tunnel right out of the cage, but that is a bad PH, not a killer power issue.

  • It's most likely having all platforms download it because the game is just a backward compatible title at this point, so they're just updating the files that we all access regardless of platform.

  • As much as I'd love to see some new game modes, I doubt it would happen. I'd be happy with a silly modifier effect even. Something that would add a challenge to both survivor and killer like, something like modifiers for the match: 'Survivors randomly scream every 30 seconds' or 'The killer will hear a false noise notification every 30 seconds'. Throw on a bonus BP reward or something and it'd most likely be a hit. Just something to change up the daily do gens and leave, or kill and hook.

  • @Sluzzy said:

I ask survivors all the time how do they do it. A genrushing SWF is not fun. A solo bloodbath is not fun either. There is no middle ground. Devs have a lot of work to do, unless players somehow think this is fun. I don't.

I'm in the same boat. If I somehow manage to down everyone before even a single gen is done, I'll let one of them wiggle free and get rescues and give them a chance. Sure, winning is fun, but obliterating someone in 10 seconds isn't my idea of fun.

  • @Crawler24 said:

    True. 100%.

I mean. It is not like there are no killers out there who slug the entire group in under 3 minutes and call it a day. But gen rushing is equaly annoying.

Trust me, I was tempted to slug, but I hate slugging personally. Kinda wish I did, but there just seemed to be no hope in doing that either.

    @Mister_xD said:

welp, that sounds like the equivalent to an Iridescent Head + Infantry Belt + 1st hook Mori Huntress.

dont worry about it too much, there isnt a whole lot you could have done there.

Pretty much. It was possibly one of the worst matches I've ever had to play. And I was Deathslinger. Map pressure just wasn't on the tables for me.

  • I stopped reading after 2 pallets. Now I'm trying to figure out if this is bait.

  • I had the same earlier, though it was just the 1 with OoO on Midwitch. Clearly a 4-man SWF because no matter what I attempted, they just knew exactly where I was coming from. So, I decided to test them. I just 'gave up' and stood still, and as I was Bubba, they decided to come rub in the fact I'd 'given up'. Karma is a true ######### because all 4 went down at once. I got called toxic and a tryhard, but I mean, who's really the tryhard in this situation?

  • This isn't really new. It's been a thing since Blight was released. Undying to keep Ruin alive if they cleanse it, Tinkerer's to sneak up and ambush, allowing Ruin to regress the gen to reactivate Tinkerer's if they attempt to fix it again.

  • I really doubt the devs are going to activly encourage people to hold the killers only power hostage somehow. I mean, would be a pretty funny achievement/trophy but I doubt it will happen.

  • There was the Oktoberfest set for I beleive Kate, Meg and Felix.

  • 2 years ago, my first match as survivor. I was David, at the time I thought he looked cool and when I saw No Mither, I thought, oh ok, free revives. Yeah, my baby survivor self was in for a shock. I spawned in injured and realised THAT's what Broken meant. So I was like, ok, sure, I can do this. I like a challenge. Trying to do a gen, and old ruin was there and I kept regressing the gen. My teammates hated me even more for the No Mither and crappy skillchecks. Killer was Myer's and I didn't realise he stalked you to get his power at the time, so I was watching him wondering why he was just staring at me and wasn't trying to attack me. He did this to T3 and ended up insta-killing the team in his infinite T3. I was not liked after this match.

First match as Killer I decided to play as Wraith because he could be invisible. I assumed they couldn't see me at all, so I was thinking I could just stand right beside them and hit them. Tie this into the Add-On that negates the Undetectable while cloaked and off I go. So I head into a match and everytime I got closer to a gen, they ran like crazy. I didn't understand it. I assumed I was invisible, but I didn't realise they actually heard my TR, since I didn't fully understand what the TR was all about. I still managed to get a kill, and someone was nice enough after the match to explain why they knew I was coming.

  • Did we get rewards on reset before? Am I missing something here? I've played for the last 2 years and never once received a reward at reset.

This isn't a bait post I actually want to know the answer on why people find him unenjoyable to play against him as I really like going against him

Well, I'm no expert but usually when someone wants information, they ask a question followed by this: ?

Maybe I'm just getting on in my years and this is how you kids ask questions these days. Insults.

  • Yeah, if I ever plan on facecamping someone to death, Bubba is my killer of choice. The man can insta-down sprint with a chainsaw. POTD is a single state attack.

  • Man, the quality of bait posts these days is going real downhill. Maybe 2021 will have better!

  • I can't tell if this was you trying to prove a point about killer being strong, or you just insulting killer mains.

  • There's already a ton of maps in the game. Missing one or two with new characters isn't a huge loss. And how many of the newer maps do you see on a regular basis without an offering? The only time I see Midwitch is with an offering because most times, my matches take me to the exact same map, usually Coldwind or Red Forest. Adding more maps just means less chance to even see them.
