@Raccoon you gain EXP. You don't gain shards.
EXP may lead to getting the shards but you do not gain shards from playing a match.

You do not gain shards from playing the matches. You get shards from leveling up your account level. The more you level up the more shards you get.

I just wanted to point out that the people advocating that the hatch shouldn't be survivor sided clearly don't understand the ######### point of the hatch. What does the hatch existing do for the killer? ######### nothing. So ofc its survivor sided by default.
It exists for that lone survivor that played well. Not the team. It's designed to ensure the individual has a chance. If you're upset that one survivor got away when you got the majority of players in that match I don't even know what to say. You already won, stop being sore about it.
Inbefore I'm a filthy survivor main that wants the game to be unbalanced because I disagree with salty posters. -

@GT_Legend2 Remember this one time I tired out insidious Leatherface. After trying out multiple perks and failing with him, I was about to nearly give up on the poor bugger.
First match using that perk I got 4k with 3 generators still up. I was cracking up at the end of the match from all the bullshit I put up with him, only to have one perk do all the work for me.

Freddy might actually perform well in a no perk tournament. His insane tracking and his natural slowdown abilities might secure him the win depending on the rules of victory set within in the tournament. Survivors can't wake themselves up unless its on a generator or from each other.
This is going to be interesting to watch.

It's difficult to tell honestly.
What I do is try to get a least one pallet dropped for each chase, break the dropped pallet, then move back to patrolling the generators.
Depending on where the survivor is positioned I'll commit to a full chase. Factors that encourge me to a full chase are:
- If that survivor is positioned in a way where it'll be difficult for them to get to a pallet
- If that survivor is injured (However if you are struggling to get them after the 3rd to 5th pallet, drop the chase.)
- He's running towards a generator, another survivor or an active totem.
These might not help much, but it seems to work well with me.

If they are within his heartbeat radius Coulrophobia will still take effect.
The lullaby and Freddys heartbeat extends for 24 meters but only the lullaby is unaffected by terror radius perks. Coulrophobia will only affect the heartbeat and will not affect you once you hear the lullaby if Freddy is running anything that decrease his terror radius.

The only way to balance SWF is to give the solo players more ways to communicate to each other. SWF is a problem because of the ability to use voice-chat will dramatically make the killer games harder.
So give Solo players more ways to communicate with each other, whether that's with emotes, text or voice chat, then make the balance decision from there. Until then its impossible to balance SWF without it having a negative impact on solo players.
