A lot of PayDay 2, just before the game died
Ah Payday 2. I still remember the lootbox ######### storm.
-
@Kaelum Ah well I'll find it later.
-
@Kaelum btw do you have a link to that stream where the devs mentioned that voice chat isn't cheating?
Wanna clip that moment kek.
-
@Kaelum shhh leave him to his fantasies.

@Mc_Harty I see it as an advantage but then I see people on YouTube such as Monto and TydeTyme and they can do almost if not everything a swf team can and it's just hard trying to understand why killers find it a problem when if a sole survivor can do it to with out the help of communication.It depends on the SWF team really. Especially the troll or competitive groups. It gets tiring putting up with their antics.
-
Killers don't like SWF because they have a huge advantage of information compared to solos.
Some even go as far to classify it as cheating. I wouldn't go that far however I'm not denying that SWF does break the balance in this game somewhat.

its not something to argue about. these butthurt scrubs are only arguing it because they are bad and grasp for every crutch possible to get them some bps. if you were to say that killers should get teleported off the map after hooking someone, they would be all for it. maybe then they could get past rank15.Its honestly adorable that you think ranks matter in this game kek.

Bad at video games because we disagree about whether comms are cheating or not, ok buddy

I can already sense the thread blowing up.

It is undoubtedly true that Sprint Burst gives a free, undeserved escape to careless survivors. However, that is not the only complaint I hear about it. Many killers also complain about the perks ability to regenerate randomly during a chase and get survivors to another loop. This particular issue is the one that I believe that the developers are trying to address with the exhaustion change, and I am merely trying to explain that just nerfing Sprint Burst alone would not fix this issue.The only perk that could regenerate randomly in a chase was Sprint Burst. Every other perk had a requirement for it to activate.
Lithe - Vaulting
Dead Hard - Injury
Balanced Landing - FallingLast time I checked, no killer complained about these perks as much as Sprint Burst.
-
The only thing I want for totems is for them to be hidden better.
-
Ignores the issue with Sprint Burst and indirectly nerfs other perks.
It's a band aid fix.
-
As a fellow Freddy main I welcome you to the most tedious killer to play as.
Now do it without Ruin

-
I'll miss the fun at the low ranks as killer.
-
Yes, I often do get frustrated when I play poorly.
This video supposed to prove something?
-
Play for bloodpoints. It's what most players do.
-
Breaking every pallet on the map while focusing on one singular survivor is the best way to win matches.
-
Because Freddy doesn't exist in the real world.

As much as I main Freddy, I wouldn't rate him that high.
He's a C at most.

He got nerfed 1 week after release.

And it's also how "face camping" is defined.You're not arguing, you're just trying to change definitions.
Facecamping was defined because the killer would camp in front of the survivors face.
And we are squabbling over it.
You're not going to change your mind and nether am I.
So I'm done arguing my points.
-
@Orion said:
Except it wasn't. Face camping was the exploit.Blocking the hook prompt was the exploit.
I'm done arguing.
-
@Orion said:
Face camping was the ability to block the unhook prompt. Why is that so difficult for you to grasp?No, it was an action that unintentionally caused a bug where the survivors could not unhook each other.
-
@Orion said:
Face camping was the exploit. What don't you get about that?So why am I still able to camp less then a meter in front of their face? They didn't remove that function.
I'm saying that despite Facecamping is no longer possible to block the unhook prompt you can still do perform the action.
Jesus Christ.
-
@Orion said:
"My" definition is the definition; the one adopted by developers and community alike way back when face camping started to become a problem. Trying to redefine terms won't change the fact that face camping is an exploit wherein the other Survivors do not get the "unhook" prompt. Everything else is just camping.They removed an exploit relating to Facecamping.
As I mentioned above you can still Facecamp the survivor on the hook. The devs didn't remove the killers ability to camp the survivor less then a meter away from his face. You can still perform the action.
What don't you get about this?
-
@Orion said:
I stated that the etymological origins of a word don't necessarily match its actual definition. Maybe you need a dictionary.Face camping is blocking the unhook prompt, it's an exploit. Everything else is just camping, which is fine.
Etymology;
the study of the origin of words and the way in which their meanings have changed throughout history.
So what make your definition of Facecamping the right definition?
Btw I have no problem with camping. Dunno why you assumed otherwise.
-
@Orion said:
And if the etymology of a word always fit its definition, we wouldn't need dictionaries. Fact is, that's not face camping.You just stated that definitions change over time....
Kinda like Facecamping.
-
@Orion said:
Except that's not what pallet looping is, again. Just because some people call any console "Nintendo" or any Pokémon "Pikachu" doesn't mean all consoles are "Nintendo" nor that all Pokémon are "Pikachu".Your entire premise on why Facecamping no longer exists is because an unintentional mechanic that was removed.
I am still able to perform Facecamping on survivors. I cannot block the hook prompt now when I do however.
Doesn't change the fact I can still camp in front of a survivors face.
Sorry that the name fits the action buddy.
-
@Orion said:
It's not face camping if it doesn't block the unhook prompt. That's just "camping". Deal with it.- There you go again. It's not pallet looping if there's no vacuum.
- I don't have a problem with face-camping buddy.
-
Would be pointless since Sprint Burst would just activated immediately once you sprint
-
@Orion said:
Except "pallet looping" was not defined as "pallet vacuum". "Face camping" was defined as "standing in such a way that the unhook prompt is unavailable for the Survivors". It was an exploit that was fixed by the "swivel hook" update.We can argue the community definition all we want but here's the reality of it;
- Facecamping blocked the unhooked prompt.
- Developers added options for the survivors for a multi unhook swivel
- Facecamping now no longer blocks the unhook prompt.
- Its is still possible to Facecamp, its not possible to Facecamp to block the unhook prompt.
I am still able to stand 1 meter away from a survivor and perform the Facecamping action.
-
Pallet looping no longer exists because the pallet vacuum is gone.Orion said:That's the definition of facecamping - blocking the unhook prompt. If it's no longer possible, then it no longer exists.
That's basically your argument. Last time I checked it was still possible to camp right in front of someones face regardless of whether or not you can blocked the hook prompt.
-
I play for my own enjoyment.
It's delusional to expect anything else from a game.
-
@Orion said:
Can any Killer block the unhook prompt? No, not since the "swivel hook" update. Therefore, facecamping does not exist. Survivor-speak is not English; you'd do well to learn the proper terminology.That just means that you cannot Facecamp to block the hook prompt, not that it no longer exists.
-
@powerbats said:
Wait what do you play in that face camping hasn't existed for quite some time now because Billy would like a word with you.And Leatherface...
I guess we just forgot him.

He can be stealthed, it's really hard but it can be done. Freddy can't see ######### in dream world, so you can actually hide in spots you couldn't normally from other killers. Anywhere really dark, literally the edge of the map (bc Freddy has to be like 12m from the wall to see it clearly). You have to know where he is though which is the really tricky part. I usually just think to myself "If I was just over there what path would I take to get to here?" then just kinda assume that direction is "unsafe" and go in the opposite direction. It works most of the time. If he ever is not chasing you, then you should just run to a gen and try to wake up, and as soon as you do leave (unless you know he won't be coming to you, ie. he is chasing someone else).Freddy doesn't need to see awake survivors to put them to sleep.
He can just hold down his power to find you. Nancy's Masterpiece is my favorite add-on because of this. His vision is only that bad in the dream world if the survivors bring fog offerings. Its fine as a base and killers can get easily used to it. Hell I did.
There's also the matter of not knowing which direction Freddy is coming from until he's right on top of you, which makes stealth against him much more obsolete.
-
You don't need it honestly.8BITLORD said:Also, you DONT use moniter and abuse on Sweater Boi?
The only thing it's good for is tracking. Freddy is already superior in that department. -
Trust me when I say, if anyone tries to stealth me as a Freddy, I will completely ######### them up.Mrrgle_the_Mediocre said:Freddy is no fun to fight if you're a Survivor who likes Stealth like me, because you can't easily hide from him and once you're in the Dream World there is no hiding, just running. But that's no reason for RANK 2 Survivors to call you a cheater, lmao.
It's probably the most frustrating thing about him and Nurse. They both have heavily restrictive counters to them. There are no other options to beat them, at least not reliably.

@Visionmaker said:
Don't worry guys, we'll be bitching about Bitter Murmur and Dark Sense pretty soonBitter Murmur on the Nurse.
As if she wasn't annoying enough.

Boil Over is the worst perk in the game.
It does nothing to benefit you and only hinders the killer slightly. Killers can easily avoid the sway the perk gives and I cannot think of a time where hiding the hook aura actually helped me as a survivor.
-
- It takes 2 perks slots to use.
- Requires leveling up Kate
- Lithe is tedious to run. It works when you don't want it too and vice-versa.
I prefer Quick and Quiet with Dance With Me.
-
@Zarathos you want me to stroke my ego?
Fine.
Edit: Huh not working. I'll get a clip.
Edit 2: Clipped
-
@Jack11803 That'll just gut slugging strategys then.
All I really want for the perk is faster wiggling. That's it.
It can be as strong as 15% on tier 3, it'll still be better then its current version.
-
@Jack11803 said:
Yet I get told buffing WGLF, no mither, and Kate’s perks is a bad ideaI'm still upset about how useless Boil Over is.
-
Lemme put this way.
When it works it's incredible. When it doesn't, you're wondering why you even bother to bring it.
Mostly it's the latter.
