Killer smashes the hell out a gen. Survivor graces their fingertips with it for a millisecond and it's magically fixed.
No, it's not alright or balanced. If i can tap a gen mid-chase, thats an issue. How can a person fix a damaged generator while running for their life?

"He was, literally, an M1 killer with a delay. Who makes you hold m1 longer."
Which happens to inhabit a different dimension, whose process of pulling people into it opened plenty of room for mindgames. Eventually combined with an extremely precise tracking.
Compare that to mr.generic power that we currently have. It is easy to see which one is better.
oh yeah, now that you've reminded me of his pointless tacked on aura reading... screw old freddy.

Recovering from the dying state is the only redeemable quality of being forever injured and still being audible

I'm sorry, but I don't want to go against the newest killer who's already P3 with all the perks running ultra-rare add-ons. The cap should be increased, but it shouldn't outright be removed.
but the newest killer has to deal with 4 P3 survivors with all the perks running ultra rare add-ons on their items.
Hmm...

Iron Will?
SPINE CHILL?!?!

Adam and Jake are most definitely the best reworks.
Adam's eyes dont seem out of place like the majority of the rest of the reworks. His lips were fixed to not look like that one SNL sketch.
Realistically everything is an improvement.

I mean...barely. You cant even see that he's smiling by his eyebrows because they're completely hidden under his glasses now. They probably should've chosen a skin without them, no one plays ace for his disgusting base skin.

the point is to obscure information.

Dont worry OP, I get exactly what you're trying to say.
Everyone else just is trying too hard to be argumentative about literally everything except what you're trying to say.
-
the worst thing a survivor can do against you is be on a gen. Are they doing something else? then they're being inefficient. You'll realize this quickly.
It's free hits, take them, hook the survivor and enjoy a nearby injured survivor for you to kill.
-
Iron Will survivors don't also turn invisible.
and they dont stop leaving scratch marks
and they still bleed,
and they can trigger crows
and they still scream
and you can still read a survivors aura with iron will
and an Iron Will survivor still has to get back on a gen which killers have aura reading for.
Iron Will survivors can be healthy and be downed in one hit via Exposed or killer powers.
-
Because if it's enough to make people make forum posts about it, its working.
-
Myers Tier II, Great Skill check, releasing Victor
-
This happened to me yesterday
I hooked survivor A.
Survivor B was making it way too obvious that they were purposely distracting me.
I have Tinkerer and 3 gens are still needed to power the exit gates, if I felt the need to leave, I would have left. Only one gen proc'd tinkerer and Survivor B is still trying to distract me, at this point I injure him and immediately retreat to the hook.
Right on queue, Survivor C approaches. I damage survivor C and since i have STBFL i was also able to grab survivor C while they attempted the save. While holding survivor C I injure survivor D and down Survivor B and still managed to get to the hook.
Needless to say the match fell apart and in the Endgame Chat they felt the need to explain how I was trash and how everything is due to my lack of skill and not the fact that they played the book entirely wrong.
I was trying to kindly tell them how I knew exactly what their plan was, and how my build assured me I had no reason to leave the hook. They were not accepting of my words.
-
And here I was thinking I looked threatening
Instead I look like I have unending lust for the survivor I'm chasing
-
so killer kills two people, last two survivors are injured.
Killer slugs one and auto wins because they're both going to bleed out eventually.
Also Doctor. If one survivor is madness III and he shocks them for the duration of the timer they're both still going to bleed out because there is no way to heal.
Would No Mither be immune to this timer? Is there any compensation for perks that apply the Broken status effect to yourself?
there's a lot of things that aren't being thought out here.
-
I believe the effects were even turned down when they retextured The Doctor.
Obviously, since its not enough, there should maybe be an Epilepsy toggle in the settings that changes the effects to something that would minimize the potential to trigger it.
The major issue with this, thematically (and not that I necessarily agree with it), is that it's supposed to be distracting and 'scary' so its supposed to pop up on the screen and distort. I'm assuming it would be hard to find the compromise between killer fantasy and the accessibility for survivors who would be sensitive literally to Static and the Madness effects.
I do hope there is something that can be done for your friends though, i'd hate for you not to be able to play with them due to the issues that have arised.
-
someone showed a pallet that spawned inside the Exit Gate, so its more than likely a bug
-
Demo closes the distance between itself and the the survivor when using his Shred. Nemesis does not. (Due to the short range of the Tentacle Strike though, this point is trivial)
Demo can start the game damaging people with Shred, Nemesis only infects the survivor which they can then remove the infection later if they escape. Both Shred and Infection give the survivors a speed boost despite Nemesis not actually injuring a survivor upon the initial hit with the tentacle.
Demo can damage pallets at the beginning of the game, while Nemesis needs to reach Tier II before he can break them.
Shred can move Demo 11 meters while the tentacle only has a range of 6 meters, and that is only at Tier III.
Demo's global pressure needs to be created first, but It has complete control over how it gets done. Nemesis starts with pressure due to the zombies, which can down survivors and force them to leave their objectives. Nemesis has no control over the zombies (unless you count his ability to destroy them). Demo's portals can be destroyed at will, but Nemesis' zombies require using up a pallet to only temporarily get rid of a zombie, they can also be blinded but it only grants a brief reprieve.
-
I was able to get Jill to 40 and Nemesis to 50 using my saved up bloodpoints, rituals, archive challenges both current and previous, and the Shrine of Secrets.
Obviously not everyone has the time or resources to have 1700~ shards and a multitude of extra challenges done that they didnt need the bloodpoints for.
-
Wraith's add-ons are all good, even the brown add-ons effects are still effective in situations, everything higher enables him to be more lethal in more situations, or more aware to hunt the survivors down.
-
Complete 2 gens in Terror Radius, Killers faced?
Ghostface, Huntress, Deathslinger.
-
I actively went against using Exhaustion perks because I always felt they were cheap even as a person that played exclusively survivor back then. Right before Exhaustion was nerfed against survivors I went Sprint Burst/Vigil on the old Badham Preschool and can remember running around the map 4 or 5 times before i eventually was caught by the killer.
While unfair, it was an amusing time.
-
where is Up the Ante on this list?
-
Demo breaks pallets, Oni breaks pallets with demon fury, D-slinger can pull you around if the loop is short enough, PH attacks through the pallet, Blight breaks the pallet, Victor can pounce, Trickster shoots over it, now Nemesis can break it.
Every newish killer has had a way to circumvent the protections that pallets provide. Not saying that's an issue, just noting the case.

Yikes. That's kinda a scary to think about. You run to get the vaccine, but you drop it. But, now it's just covered in zombies. I know that's unlikely, but the thought intrigues me
person with the vaccine runs to get the save to inject it into the hooked survivor
there is a zombie at the hook
unhooker goes down because those zombies are unusually good at camping and Nemesis was there too
now the vaccine is on the floor by the hook with a zombie there as well

First time I have ever heard a game dev say a game mechanic is "toxic"
What the hell are they even talking about?
Im sure they were referring to mori's in the past tense, as in not the current way to trigger mori's.
Mori's used to not require hooking, then only required one hook before the current system.
Killers would hook, wait...then immediately run back to the hook the moment the survivor got unhooked to mori them. The survivor could potentially not have had a single moment spent out of chase before being killed.
Toxic also doesnt have to refer to an action directly towards another player, but to the game's health as a whole.
I would agree with them that one-hook mori's were unhealthy for the game. I would also say it's current implementation is more than a little awkward.

If we can have Trickster, we can definitely have a non-human survivor.

I mean yeah let me just use pigs power to counter holding W
You cant hold W against a killer you cant see coming and last time I checked, the W key doesn't prevent the Reverse-Bear-Trap from exploding.
Oh, and the charge attack is faster than sprint burst.
Let's also ignore Wraith's 150% movement speed, Billy's 230% speed power, Nurse and Blight in their entirety, Freddy and Demo's teleport powers, Deathslinger's ability to reel you in, Clown's slowing ability that also reduces vault speed, Oni's 195% speed power, Huntress' bus sized ability to gain a ranged hit from across the map.
Plague just needs to infect you at any amount and then she can move onto a new target if you're truly too far away
You also have Trapper and Hag which are supposed to be area control, as well as Doctor but his is done differently and is high range. The spider doesn't need to leave its web.
If you want i'll even throw in Victor's 150% move speed.
That leaves Michael, Ghostface, and Bubba. They one-shot, so you have one chance to live, and two of them have Undetectable.
You can call Legion and Trickster weak if you want to, but Pyramid Head is all you.
-
Teach killers to actually use their damn power instead of immediately going to the forums to complain.
-
I think the OP definitely understands what the perks do, they're just exemplifying how sh*t Visionary is.
If you just always follow Visionary because those are the gens you see, you created the 3 gen strat for the killer
If you just always follow Deja Vu because those are the gens you see, you made the game extremely difficult for the killer. (voiding Demo and Freddy)

My guess is more undulating terrain. Currently the reagent offerings don’t really do enough in providing cover for survivors that want extra cover, or for stealth killers when they want extra cover. Undulating terrain would allow both sides better opportunities for cover (when wanting it).
It would be a big boon to Ghostface in particular, as it would prevent players from being easily knocked out of stealth of some maps by survivors 3 thousand miles away from him.
This is probably true. When i see the new Dead Zones (no loop AND no cover) as a survivor on the reworked maps, I dont just think of survivors but as killers as well.
With no cover, Ghostface cant lean behind anything in that area, there's also nothing to block Ghostface from being seen. This is true for any Undetectable killer (save for Wraith, who's already on top of you) and any killer thats going to apply Oblivious.
You already know where a killer is not going to have a chance to sneak up on you from...because there literally is nothing in certain areas.
-
Second Wind is better if the killer is gunning you down, if you can live for 20 seconds, Second Wind gives you...second wind.
Resurgance is great for when you dont have any opportunities to heal, because then a person who does have a dedicated healing build (except Autodidact, you poor thing) gets to put you in full health in a fraction of the time it usually takes.
Really, it depends on the urgency of the situation
-
Damn Globers...
-
I picked up a vaccine early so i can use it on a hooked survivor who never got the opportunity to search, but you'll probably get a Meg that takes all the vaccines early and constantly gets hit
-
I literally was being harassed in the pre-game lobby by three other survivors, then they said I was the one harassing them in post game chat because I was the only one who survived. The killer believed them and reported me too.
Yeah I don't see this going bad at all.

You... realize that you don't instantly die if you don't have DS, right?
Plus, that's a very specific scenario.
You've played Trapper, right?
It's Trapper, its not a very specific scenario. Trapper always wants to trap up the basement and get as many kills as possible from that instance.
Literally just yesterday I faced a Trapper that had someone in the basement and all the traps were on all 3 exits.
He did not leave the shack, therefore, anyone that would've attempted to leave would indeed have instantly went down or have been trapped.
You've played Survivor, right?
You do know that DS is made for situations specifically like this, right?
-
So what happens when you Deliverance yourself from the killer shack basement against trapper that's trapped all 3 exits...you just...die? Or when the other survivors goes down when saving you and is unable to disarm a trap?
Does disarming the trap progress the survivors objective in any form?
No.
So why would it disable DS?
-
The numbers for Picking Up and Dropping should have a significantly larger number than that of Breaking and Vaulting. There's barely any situation in which you need to drop someone or pick someone up faster. Someone is either attempting a flashlight save, or someone is sabotaging the hook/body-blocking you while vulnerable. And even in those situations, 20% is not going to make much of a difference.
-
I dont think i've experience the unpacking issue since i've moved DBD to my m.2, but it'll probably be easier to tell once the update/PTB goes live as it includes new content and probably some visual upgrades.
Feel free to @ me on the 25th, i'd be more than happy to tell you my results.
-
Other Killers don't want to take 2 seconds to completely obliterate what could've been a really good loop.
have no issue with breakable walls, but I'm not a person to complain about something just because its in my way.
Smack Smack, its gone. Time to win.
