this is the same reason I don't use prestige'd weapons, having the added veins and blood effects occupies already precious screen space
-
Survivors can't see you through the corn just like you don't see the survivors through the corn. It goes both ways.
-
the ramp with the left and right vaults? yeah it's still there.
-
Wow I didnt even notice that in the patch notes, this is absolutely amazing!
-
thinking cd or speed is a useless buff on Demo is very .01 IQ. Have you never ever caught someone trying to cleanse your portal in your entire Demogorgon existence?
Have you never been in a close call where you can teleport to a gen just before it finishes?
The buffs make it incredibly easier to not only make it to those situations, but reducing the time a survivor has to react.
-
the majority of things you're calling nerfs are because of the basekit buffs that were brought in. You're still going to have a shorter cooldown than before if you bring a cooldown add-on. You're still going to have faster speed than before if you bring a speed add-on.
I would say get your shyte together, but, frankly, I don't care at this point anymore.

There needs to be a time limit as to how long gens are slowed down by totems, killers only need assistance towards the beginning of the game where gens can be completed before they can even reach a survivor.
Global changes also make the strongest killers overbearing, so they would probably get nerfed if this were to go live
-
Killers thinking a new/changed perk is op? how shocking.
I remember when killers thought For the People was going to be the most broken perk in the game. "fReE iNsTa-hEaL, NERF NOW!!!"
people really need to play both sides before they speak on somethings strength.
-
We love to see it.
-
Okay, we definitely need a mask toggle
-
that'll be in The Realm Beyond part 27
-
the aura can be changed when there's a locker near every tile, stealth as a concept is already garbo
-
Literally doing nothing and hiding. A noob survivor is more useful on a hook than doing literally anything else.
This isnt a joke, at least when they're on the hook the killer has to check back on them and it forces some kind of pressure on the game.
-
I dont get how anyone sees this as an improvement, nothing about this says 5 years in the making.
You look at Trickster, you know they spent time and effort on him to make him, his hair, and his expressions natural and fitting of his character.
You look at these models, they all just look blah and dead. Nothing about them is special, nothing screams survivor or 'i have a unique personality', they just look like meh.
-
This ain't Dwight. This is Jeremy or sumn.
Removing wrinkles and dirt off survivors does not make them look better, I think the dirt was just hiding how ugly the og survivors really were. I'm getting more and more scared for everyone else.
-
If the last survivor is refusing to leave a pallet, they're just gonna have to bleed out. Even if the hatch is already closed, you're not going to get the satisfaction of Power Struggle'ing me.
-
She's giving me original Life Is Strange, and not in the good way
-
Personally I would like Ace to get a rework. For a character that's supposed to be suave he sure looks like a raisin...
Realistically Laurie and Quentin need it the most, but for non-licensed it's definitely Nea 'The Entity' Karlsson
-
Usually people are too eager for altruism early on, then the concept of a team is dead to Randoms later on in the match.
-
I'm rather underwhelmed and am scared for Nea.
I feel like this is less to make survivors look better and more to clean them up so they're easier to spot for killers.
-
Let me just say 'The Auric Cell' is a sick ass name.
-
Nothing is better than having a flashlight mean nothing because you can hear where the survivor is relative to where you were blinded
-
you're not getting them to stay without a bribe.
You can give them a toolbox or show them you have Prove Thyself, but otherwise it's a selfish survivors world and you just live in it.

Porn...
Porn always changes.

Deathslinger: *aims gun*

Deathslinger: *M1* or oh wait, *shoots gun*
Survivor: oh ok
If his zoning wasn't so dumb he'd be less hated.
it's literally specifically and only this
If Huntress does this at least you know she's losing as much distance as survivors are when they dodge
If D-slinger does it, it only takes a fraction of a second for them to aim and retract their move but there is no retracting your dodge as a survivor from a killer who is still moving faster than you and has their power readily available at any possible moment.

I hate looping survivors, its so boring. - Killer replying to different thread
I hate stealthy survivors, its so boring. - Same killer replying to this thread

The fact that Alan Wake was on the list and that i'm the only person ever in DbD to bring it up publicly makes me think they took our ideas. 😋
wait Alan Wake was on it? my mind must have completely skipped it when I saw Scooby-Doo. One of my closest friends loves everything Alan-Wake!
-
damn its almost like it isnt hindering your ability to kill at all because you have 4 hook states with three current injuries while only one gen is done and you have 2 crappy perks and an add-on that is actively weakening your power.
-
Deathgarden had a ping system, seemed pretty good to me. it played a small but distinct sound with a description of what the Runner is trying to tell you
-
Scooby-Doo, it's literally the perfect choice.
-
Survivor stress is divvied up between 4 people, and some are more than willing to carry that burden than others.
You have people that love to be chased and distract the kill.
You have people that do nothing and sit in the corner and wait for everyone to die until the hatch spawns
If a team is competent, it's easy to have fun in the match without feeling too stressed.
If a team is full of selfish asshats, the game is no less stressful than playing killer
-
Scooby-Doo is no more silly than DBD especially when it comes to chases. I'm not sure how they would be able to obtain the license, but if it were to come to fruition i'd definitely be amazed

it's to pressure you more. and it's a legit strategy, not bm.
if the survivor is using literally every spare second they get to heal, they are winning even more time from you than simply being in a chase. it makes you commit. you have to make the decision to see that chase through to the end or drop it NOW, and every second you quibble internally is two seconds you're losing if you give up on the chase later. it amplifies the sunk cost fallacy. if you cannot quickly determine whether a chase is good or bad, then having someone self care in your face is going to compound your problem.
forcing the killer to commit to a bad chase is a winning move. when you see a survivor doing this, analyse what's going on around you. don't just go "oh it's bm", it's so much smarter than just teabagging.
I like the way you've analyzed the situation, I never really understood it when i see it as survivor because i usually run injured
Then when I see it as killer I thought it was just them trying to agitate me, I never really thought about the fact that whether or not they actually can successfully heal, it puts an ultimatum on the chase
-
Thank you for being the reason BT got changed, I appreciate your service.
-
Of course it's realistic.
It'll realistically stop most survivors from wanting to continue playing
-
Stefan Horvath, I like his energy.
-
They did for Demo
-
gotta practice before the update comes out
-
I joined because of my friends, but technically the Nightmare on Elm Street chapter.

Weaker killers SHOULDNT BE KICKING GENS. It doesn't get them pressure, it wastes their time.
yeah, thats what im saying. currently it does. shouldn't have to be this way.
-
@Mary_Saotome said:
As a killer main, I think gen tapping is fine, and here's why: you shouldn't be kicking gens in the first place. The regression is basically nonexistent, and kicking gens just wastes your time. If you don't like gen tapping, don't kick gens, or better yet, run ruin.
thats the whole point of this conversation. Gen tapping is easy and counters an action that a killer has to take time to do. Kicking a gen should be stronger because weaker killers are usually forced to do this because of their otherwise lack of pressure while other killers are just zooming from gen to gen and knocking people out.
-
I gasp. If im with my friends, we all gasp in unison. As people who normally do totems, the act of suffering from Devour Hope has us speechless.
-
everyone seems to not want to talk about the amount of dead ends that result in your death if you end up there with the killer. Interesting.
-
There's no downside to this milking. Everyone wants something and to print out cash, they just need to include the faves as skins. Truly a win-win situation
-
People who play the Sadistic killer are trying to get a rise out of survivors?
Next you'll tell me people who play stealth killers want to scare survivors.
-
No modern game needs a sequel because you can always Live Update your game. Unless the experience is meant to be a departure from the original, starting from scratch just in an attempt to be better than what you started with is a fools errand.
-
Leon would be so boring, I'm hoping for Chris *and* Jill for survivors. Because why stop at one? If anything, just make them legendary skins, then everybody wins.
My close friend believed the killer would be The Licker, because the camera panned real low near the end and the noises sounded so guttural. I'm not inclined to disagree with that belief.
-
I would like an AI killer.
Smart, methodical, not purposely trying to make our game miserable. What's not to like?
-
If you were close enough to the survivor for them to barely get away at the exit gate, you definitely had enough time to kill the one who was going for the unhook, as you dont suffer as much of a slowdown when injuring with the blades, then you close in with the basic attack kill or keep using daggers if you're afraid of DH
-
Everyone's talking about the killer being "certain to lose" but what happens when you know the survivors last trap is by an important (or nearly completed) gen? Then it's free pressure. You just need to wait out the timer and boom a survivor is dead and a chunk of the vital gen is regressed.
Pig's crouch indeed needs a buff, but certainly at the cost of performing this scummy move. (please don't give the whole Amanda rigs the game argument, this is DBD not a movie.)

Those 2 seconds are massive. Even ignoring the just flat extra wasted time, those 2 seconds essentially kills his chain slug potential with how wide his kick window is. This is not a minor nerf whatsoever.
you said it right there. "chain slug potential". chain slugging at 150% movespeed while being able to be in another location camping a hook or even another body is exactly why that was changed. Pick someone the hell up.
