But Springtrap is the one I see the most arguing over and one the community is the most split about.

That is some bullshit, and a lot of it clearly. I see the majority of the community wanting iconic horror characters like Jason, Xenomorph, Pennywise, Chucky etc. Oh and don't forget Sidney and Brenda. Springtrap compared to them is nothing in my opinion, Springtrap isn't a horror classic killer.

I'm sorry, but I disagree with this. Five Nights At Freddys has earned its spot in horror. It may not be popular to us who are adults, but it's legendary among kids and streamers has made it famous. It has also played a role in revitalizing interest in survival horror like Amnesia did. It spawned a lot of copy cat games in the indie market, made a ton of cash, and Freddy is the modern day boogie man for kids. It's a moving force that hasn't stopped since 2014. Springtrap has just as much of a right to be among Jason and Xenomorph as the others. Pyramid Head has earned his place and is iconic but mainly among gamers, but FNAF is more mainstream.

Trust me when I say, I know this view is unpopular. And disclaimer: That doesn't mean Spring's a better character than PH or any of these other horror characters, but he is iconic. That's something this community needs to accept, no matter how "cringe" they think the fanbase is.

  • They aren't obligated to give an excuse or "own" anything, he can play however he pleases provided he isn't cheating, griefing, or breaking the game. 🤷‍♂️Don't misunderstand my response as rude snark, but I am growing bored of shaming posts.

Yeah,i appreciate every thread that isn't people crying about SWF,Spirit, certain perks etc.

    We need more positivity here

Without derailing the thread and killing the vibe I rather we don't get distracted from things that are important, but things like this are nice to do. We lose track then things will never get better. I'm already seeing things go back to the status quo.

I know this is off topic, but has anyone else just been coming back to this thread to check out the appreciation people throw at each other? It's so warm and fuzzy.

All the positively made me screech in pain and I stuck out my forked tongue as I rolled my eyes in pain.

But joke's aside, it was a neat idea for a thread.

  • So I've been lurking here for a better part of a year so seeing the intense back and forward here was like my own personal WWE, I have favorites and heels. The ones who made me wanna join these forums are: @Blueberry and @Orion.

Other members are: @GodDamn_Angela((I'm sorry to embarrass you like this lol)), @MusicNerd_TC whom I am cool with and a fellow lover of music, @TAG, @SpaceCoconut((RIP Brother)), @Squirrel_Thicc, @Endstille((RIP Brother)), @MadLordJack whom I begrudgingly respect :P, @BigTimeGamer whom I don't see eye to eye with, but we both stand on issues that matter for the long term of the game. Also @Pawcelot @NursesBootie @Moundshroud and that's off the top of my head.

From a business standpoint yes, kids should be the target audience.

So... imma be that guy and defend moris because im tired of posts like this.

Moris skip 1 hook state. Is it fair? Ehh.... is it needed? Sometimes. Is it fun? Depends on your outlook.

As any killer player knows time is against the killer. Killers cant be 4 places at once. Also it feels like the reworked maps are surv sided. It sounds like an l2p issue, and maybe it is, but moris help reduce thr amount of survs to buy the killer time esp since he cant be 4 places at once.

With all the informations survivors have. And all the second chance perks. A good portion of the time, Esp on maps like ormond or red forest, a killer fan fall behind very quickly and never catch up.

Point is, moris as much as people dont like them are a necessary evil. Just like keys are.

I too am growing tired of posts demonizing the way killers play, but I'm also find this Us vs Them posts coming in at the wrong time when we have greater issues to worry about.

  • When the forums started seeing more survivors VS killer posts instead of discussing the future of the game and its live service models that's when I knew we were doomed. We were united for a moment but we were quickly shut down by a combination of the mods and the other posters. I'm of the opinion we need to work together to fix this game for the better then go back to killing each other afterwards. I found myself standing with a lot of people I otherwise didn't care for prior to this.

But if everybody plays both sides there will be mutual understanding, but disagreements at the same time! Us vs them will always exist in this game, simply because it's human nature!

I don't blame the devs for all the problems that DbD owns (bad servers sync, broken hitboxes, bad matchmaking, stuck character bugs, bad anti cheat software, DC penalties on serves DC or game crashes, horrible map reworks with insane FPS drops, no FX and aspect change video options, no options to disable playing against survivor SFW, not enough killer camping / tunneling penalties, shadownerfs, unprofessional PC/console testing before releasing content, etc etc).

I blame the person who thinks that releasing paid content instead fixing the problems is a better idea (giving some skins for free on h'ween was like a gentle and nice tradition). All of this is like a snowball effect and many players are tired of this bad BHVR company behaviour.

I feel bad for those people that are getting all the rage or being negatively affected when they aren't responsible (the twitter person, the art team, the sound team, some forum mods, etc).

    🙏❤️👻

    That's quite fair tbh

  • @Bingbongbong said:

Meh, It's the same thing different situation. In a few weeks players will go back to normal and any new content will continue to be heavily monetized.

Just like when the rift came out people were very upset they added a battlepass into a pay to play game but now it's just accepted, so much so that the devs thought it a great idea to tie events to it last year and double down further on the monetization this year.

Exactly. They don't need to do damage control when the forum goers are doing it for them. Everything stays the same, the status quo remains. It's astounding people are okay with this.

I have some faith in dbd now, albeit a little less since the last patch (I am on ps4). When i said it wouldn't last a year i was talking about when it first came out. I don't think that it would have made it if it came out as a free to play game.

You can call my attitude disgusting, but i have yet to see a better system than free will and capitalism. I am not saying it is by any means perfect, but let people buy what they want. Sounds like you are in one of those states that have the same philosophy (lucky you).

Dead Dead by Daylight first came out, it didn't have the microtransactions or battle passes though. When it introduced the concept of the store and the Rift then that's when it should have gone free to play. If you're going to intimate free to play models then your game needs to be free to play. You have yet to convince me why this would be a failed model.

Literally no elected official or state in this country share my views politically. But I'm not interested in discussing my politics with you tbh. Discussing this is exhausting enough. But I tell you what, I'm going to drop a video for you. It's an old video but it implies here. I've had the same attitude you did and looking into various sources has quelled that. Hopefully that will do the same for you here.

I'm slowly reaching the point to where I no longer care. If these people want to be taken advantage of then let them. I'm at my wit's end.

  • @Marc_go_solo said:

What's most concerning to me is the inability for some people to accept how others have reacted, and are affectively shaming them into guilt; saying they're easily pleased or simps or other crap.

Personally, the devs have cocked up. Mainly in terms of the cosmic cosmetic blunder, which does belittle those who have saved up for them. Those want justice, and I support them. Does this mean that those who are actually happy with the game and the devs should illogically change their thought process because they have a dìfferent experience? Absolutely not.

If you want a united front, it makes much more sense to use a lot more empathy of the other side amd treat them as equals, and talk on a level field, rather than look down on them as "they're content with mediocrity" or "they're clearly not intellectual". That does nothing, other than damage that cause. It's playground politics.

Those who are like that need to drastically re-evaluate their tactics, otherwise you'll end up creating more resistence and you will lose. People have the right to thiink what they want. If you believe they're missing something, talk to them as an equal, not a neckbeard.

I'm sorry, but I take issue with the victimhood in this post. Literally no one here gets bullied because they're please, their content is usually followed with an insult of those who are unhappy with the state of the game. A lot of history revisionism here. They are called entitled, whiny, I've seen people go into details as of why DBD's current state will not work for the community in the long run get shut down with "You meanie meanie heads! <3".

One thing I must ask and I am asking you...what are we missing? I'm not coming at you, I am asking a genuine question. What is it about the other side we must empathize about exactly? Disdain towards the criticism of your favorite product? I've been there but I also know to suck it up then move on. What is there to empathize with? No one was able to answer this question. You can be happy with a product then acknowledge that it's in desperate need of a change. There's several people I am still civil with and respect despite our disagreements.

You could say the same about the other side. Threads downplaying the issue and insulting those who are concerned about it, people shaming people for their outrage "Everyone so angry XOXOXO" and if I'm being honest? Yes. A lot of the responses do reek of intellectual laziness. I could understand in game community's woes feeling like a small minority but you're talking about a literal mainstream issue that has been covered in media. Game companies are going to court over these live services. The fact that these do not belong in Dead by Daylight should be as clear as the grass is green. All of it boiled down to entitlement. Naturally people would get annoyed.

Personally I think debating is fine, but it's a waste of time. We're just going to argue in circles. Players need to vote with their wallets. Not that the outrage will do any good, everyone will forget tomorrow. Ironically this is the most this community has ever been united.

  • I didn't say that mobile phones started battle passes, I said that Dead by Daylight follow the free to pay mechanics without being a free to play game, a method most mobile phone games use. And from my research Dota 2 originated the battle pass.

I never said I had an issue with expansions. With an expansion you're selling a completed product and you desire to add onto it. If I purchased an RPG and it was completed then I'd have no issue with playing an extended story. I didn't have an issue when DBD was only doing DLCs.

You're ranting over something I have never said and can't seem to grasp a simple issue: if your base game costs money then you shouldn't implement crappy live services into your game. There's no reason to suggest that Dead by Daylight would not be successful that it went free to play, it'd have even more players.

Well your responses to me wouldn't make any sense to me sober, if that helps. I felt like I have repeated myself a thousand times, every single interaction between us so far has been like Groundhog Day. I'm doing my best not to insult you. I don't want my account locked up and I don't want my thread closed.

  • @Aztreonam78 said:

In my expirience, Midwich Elementary School is probably the most movement restricting map in the entire game. The two levels basically have just 3 connections: two upstairs and a hiddeon one leading from the toilet. Killers have too few options to move around the map and pressure the gens efficiently.

Additionally, there are a lot of pallets, but most of them are unsafe even against m1 killers. If we talk about Freddy, Doctor, etc, this map is awful for being chased.

So, yeah, as it has been said 100 times, this map is awful for both sides. Almost no one likes it, the vast majority of people find it annoying to play in, and since the rework and adjustments are very problematic due to license, the map should be blocked completely until the affairs are done.

I love Silent Hill and I nerd out everytime I am on the map but it's way too damn big

  • @kcwolf1975 said:

I don't know why it is such a big deal that dbd isn't free. It has been on ps+ before so it was free to a lot of people and it is regularly on sale for around $12. You also need to remember that free to play was not an option for dbd, it would not have lasted a year.

But even if it was free, wouldn't people still buy skins? I don't, but I see nothing wrong with it. It doesn't give you an advantage (not pay to win), so what's wrong with someone buying a skin if they want it?

I love the rift, it gives me something else to do which is what this game needs. It has a free track, so you can participate without paying a dime. You can also wait and buy it at the end so you know exactly what you are getting for your money. If you play a lot (and I mean a lot), they even give your auric cells back.

As far as taking advantage of people, you can't blame BHVR if people can't control themselves. Are the beer companies to blame if someone becomes an alcoholic? All advertising is scummy on some level, it is just trying to find ways to get your money. Hello capitalism.

My only problem with BHVR, is that there are a lot of bugs/issues that take way too long to get fixed (if they ever do).

As long as they don't go pay to win them I will continue to play/support them.

I remember that and it was one of the best moves they have ever pulled. It drew in plenty of players and for the most part of they were willing to stay on board. Dead by Daylight has its flaws but "won't last the year"? What? Have you that little faith in the game? It out lasted most asymmetrical horror games out there. I fail to see how heading in the direction of free to play would tank the game, I'd need to see some sources.

Yes, people will still buy skins. Fortnite is free and people are buying skins left and right. I give Fortnite less ######### because the game is free despite my own misgivings I explained earlier. And yes, I know you don't want to hear it but yes there are strong pay to win elements in the DLC. Most crucial perks are locked behind pay walls. There's an option to earn the costumes, the perks, and the characters but it's behind a tedious grind that will take the time of a second full time job. All by design to have you part from your wallet just like a mobile phone game.

Whether you personally love the rift or not is irrelevant. My criticism shouldn't take away your enjoyment from this game, but I do challenge you to think critically about the products you consume. Unless your time is worthless then it's not free. Macote might as well put me on the clock at this point.

If companies that sell alcoholic beverages had predatory ads? You bet your ass I would. I'm pro consumer. And yes, most marketing is scummy I know people that work in marketing and I do contracting work for a pretty major tech company. Just because something is normalized doesn't make it correct. When we grow complacent then things get worse. I have to say I find your attitude to be pretty disgusting. That being said, I'm not exactly a fan of Capitalism. You'd be barking up the wrong tree.

The bugs and glitches are pretty bad, they're worse for console. I have this game for PC and Switch. Consoles are a nightmare to play this on, they still haven't done anything with the optimization.

That's unfortunate my friend cause they already had. They have been selling us solutions to problems they themselves cause like most companies do.

Actually it is not borrowing from the mobile model, it's borrowing from EA who was decidely the first to push micro transactions in their games. and that's what behavior is doing, and their games are still at cost depending on age. but the battle pass itself first came out in moba style games like smite and league. then it went to COD and other games including mobile. but also the micro-transactions for the cosmetics are modeled after mmo's. most of the games include performance boosters in their battle pass but dbd did not do that here it is ALL COSMETICS. and if you think DBD should be "FREE" tell me, would you give away a book you wrote because you shouldn't charge for the book as you'll get a line of toys with it? come on, there are a great deal more to this than free games. it is actually proven that most games that are "FREE" are supported by other titles, for instance look at ESO, one of the few mmo's that doesn't support itself totally and then fall out 76, which is a huge flop for the mmo market for many reasons. and they are STILL trying to make their money back on 76 but that's hard when people won't pay for much.

I am trying to understand your logic, I won't lie its a mess to navigate through. Getting through this stoned makes it all the more challenging.

If you want to argue in defense of a game then EA is the very last example you'd like to use, but that'd be the one thing we agree on. Behavior is heading in the same direction as EA but without the safety blanket. A novel and a live service video are two different forms of media. When I sell a novel to the public then have toys license for it, I am not having the book have a few pages missing while I sell my customers chapters then annoy them half to damn death while they try to enjoy it in peace. That comparison doesn't add up. And this post wasn't just about DBD being free, did you even bother to read the rest of it?

I'm not trying to be a douchebag, but I am confused. 🤔

What you call "willingness to buy", I call "falling for it". To-may-to to-mah-to.

Every micro-transaction game tries to excite that part of your brain that controls your willingness to buy something. Those that fall for that marketing ploy spend money.

If their strategy is to wind me down with dumb then it's working. I could only find ways to repeat myself so many times.

  • @Freki said:

You know I paid 10 bucks once for 1000 auric cells to buy the premium rift pass once i got to tier 70 and then got those 1000 back. then rift pass 2 comes out i use those 1000 to get the premium again and get 1000 back. do it again for rift 3 and again get them back, do it again for rift 4 and get them back. just before rift 5 i was given 1000 auric cells by the company (I had NOT asked for anything) so for 10 bucks i've gotten $50 worth of auric cells that is one way to look at it. another way to look at it is that i've paid 2 dollars for 4 rift passes and when I complete rift 5 i'll be at even less. (normally after rift 4 i'd be at $2.50 per rift) it is just getting to be a better re-occuring investment since i get to the end of the rift without any problem at all with a bit of effort through out to do the tome challenges so i get all the extra fragments!

I chose to pay 10 bucks in at the begining and that is ALL I have EVER paid for the rift itself. this is not a battle pass that gives you special weapons to use against the killer and get out of the match because of these "weapons" it's a I want to look good. you don't have to buy any one rift and while you play you still get a few things. so it's 100% voluntary, this argument is old and stale because people actually do like doing the challenges. i just did the stun the killer 4 times, got one pallet stun, and 3 head on's while doing what I could to rescue, heal and complete gens to get people out. I didn't get out but the other guy did so that's all that mattered. it was fun to challenge myself to get better at doing somethings in the game i'm not totally used to what is wrong with earning a few or more cosmetics just because i play the game?

And this disputes my point, how? Dead by Daylight should be a free game if it has these mechanics, it's borrowing from the business model most mobile phone games have. The very purpose of these models is for you to part with your hard earned cash once you have tired of the grind, it's a manipulation tactic. I fail to see how your willingness to be a whale makes it any less worse.

    @Marc_go_solo said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1703551#Comment_1703551

I think the problem isn't that people are "falling for it" and purchase a skin to support the game. Moreover, the issue is people aren't buying a skin to support a game; they're buying a skin because they want the skin. It's little to do with actively supporting a company consciously. They know what they want. They know where the money goes. There is nothing to fall for. It's a willingness to buy.

Doesn't change the fact that these purchases send the wrong message to Behavior who like many companies are beholden to their investors than their customers. I find this move to be strange because a lot of these gaming companies are being taken to task. Behavior is no different in this regard.

This hook sabo save idea is fantastic!

...and it makes perfect sense. They can sabo vacant hooks, shouldn’t be anything barring survivors from taking down those which are occupied. Incorporate an anti-tunnel mechanism in there somehow, and it’s golden.

Maybe, the hook rescue from the way I pictured it was a risk vs reward kind of deal so while you've pulled off this crazy rescue you still have to deal with the blood trail and the removal of the hook. I'm unsure how I'd integrate an anti-tunneling method into that and I'll admit to some bias as I am not the best person to ask as I consider camping and tunneling strategies, but I think allowing both players to have more tools in their arsenal will lower the amount of players getting camped cause killers will have other ways to ensnare their prey. I hope that makes sense.

I might come up with a more detailed suggestion post for this later. Something that account for both sides.

I just meant it didn't have much to do with my comment, not that it was off-topic for the thread 🙂

But sure, happy to give my input. Don't want to derail the thread though, so if you want to discuss it further probably best to post on my wall.

While I don't believe abuse is necessary in any context and therefore don't condone the way some people are conveying their displeasure, I don't think the player response on an emotional level is unfair or unwarranted.

That said, I don't think the event's integration into the Rift or Tome challenges is the issue. They did that last year and it was fine (albeit a little disappointing in comparison to the 2018 event). The problems this year, in my opinion, are (1) the lack of meaningful free content (i.e. grindable skins), though this has been recently amended somewhat; (2) The Dwight Crow nonsense (pretty much everything about it except for the charm itself - the hypocrisy around the exclusivity, the way it rewards the fastest typists in the community rather than the most dedicated or enthusiastic players and excludes console players or those with disabilities or bad internet or no Twitch access, how generally demoralising it is for the majority of people, etc); and (3) The fact that there isn't much else to the event aside from bloodpoints and charms to make up for how much those first two things suck.

I should also say that, having taken the trouble to gain more insight into the perspective of game developers in general than probably the average gamer has, I believe there is a pipeline-related explanation for why things went the way they did with this event, and I don't think that the devs are unintelligent or deluded enough to think that this event is on par with others they've released in the past, or to not have foreseen at least some of the backlash from the community. BUT I don't think that's at all obvious, on this occasion, to the community, because without having any insight into the devs' side of things, it really does come across greedy and out-of-touch even to people like myself who have historically been fairly optimistic and gracious about giving the devs the benefit of the doubt. So given that, I do think the expectations players had of the devs in this case were reasonable, and therefore the backlash resulting from those expectations being disappointed is entirely justified, even if I don't agree with how some people are going about it.

Absolutely. I will be more than happy to do that with you. I'd almost forgotten that was a feature.

See, that's my issue--(1)I find the community will be far more forgiving if Dead by Daylight was free. As I stated earlier: I think the community was quite tolerant of it, a bit too tolerant for my tastes, but they were fine with the direction DBD was headed until this event? That seems like that was the last straw for most people. Dead by Daylight makes the mistake of having FTP mechanics in a game that cost money. There shouldn't even be a Rift, it's essentially a battle pass.

(2)I'm honestly not in the know about this. I've seen mention of a Dwight Crow and charms but I don't have any insight into that. I'll have to look into it. But I do agree especially as someone who believe the industry needs to be more accommodating towards those with disabilities

    (3) I'm sure Behavior will whip up something. Though to me, I would like to see real changes. Bloodpoints and shards alone are simply not enough.

I agree with you. I don't think the developers are clueless at all, that makes this situation even worse. I don't share your insight of game development, my inside knowledge comes from working in the field of customer service, I'd love to elaborate further but I am chained to an NDA. I've seen the victims of these "live services" many of them are mentally ill or former addicts who are exploited by their favorite hobby. EA, Epic Games, and Activation to name a few have these people in their sights and these people end up being my customers. For this reason I believe outrage is warranted, I'd go as far as to say the community isn't going far enough. Outrage is an amazing tool, it's powerful and it could change so much but that alone does nothing. The consumers need to vote with their wallets. Do not waste their money purchasing skins, do not sign in during free bloodpoint days because those are meant to track engagement that's how these services function. Push for changes that are practical instead of being content with being sold a solution to problems the developers themselves cause. This will be blow over in probably another week anyway. Which is sad, seeing the community unite over that matters was neat.

That being said, I appreciate your response.

And we can agree to disagree. That is what adults do. What you just said to me was polite and fair. I respect that. My issue is how people have gone after the company and the manner in which it was done. If they had been as polite as you were to me, I think they would have still gotten what they wanted, and I wouldn't have said a thing. :)

I disagree with this. Civility accomplishes absolutely nothing. This is well meaning, I'm sure but utterly unrealistic. Only when players has shown that they were savvy enough to recognize when their good faith has been taken advantage of and respond with outrage when Behavior decided to pay attention.

I will say this. The outrage will die really soon. If it isn't other players missing the point of community's anger, if it isn't the community doing damage control without even being paid for it, or the community being easily distracted things will calm down sooner or later. And that's unfortunate. I'm already seeing killer VS survivor posts again. This will indicate that business will proceed as usual and the customers will be exploited.

Oh and those uh free shards? It's a means to ensure that the "engagement" continues. It's a popular trend among big businesses in the gaming community to ensure their live services are still worth a damn to their share holders.

Which brings me to my temperament towards you, my concern is for you the community and my fellow players than some big company.

Seriously, have you all never played the previous events? Before, you have alternate objectives such as gathering serum which could then be spent on cosmetics. Now, you have 3x Rift challenges that allow to get a measly 4k BP, and that's it aside from pumpkin gens and hooks. Replacing a fun, engaging event currency with a credit card is disgusting, and BHVR knew full-well what they were doing when they made it. This "apology" is just a response to attempt to appease people when their shot at skimming players for more money didn't fully pan out.

This is the same thing with Sets, they started out slow and continued to ramp them up when they saw they were profitable, if people happily accept a few shards and BP as compensation for the gutting of a previously enjoyable time, then the game will continue to deteriorate into a MTX hellscape.

This is a horror-esque game, yet COD and WoW have better Halloween events than it.

btw this is a company that rakes in money off of skins and the rift already, they aren't some 4 man dev team that deserves to be treated like Jesus Christ himself.

It didn't take much huh? Behavior will continue their predatory live services and people will continue to give them a pass. I was hoping this event would be the wake up call

That's a pretty off-topic question for my comment, but I'm happy to answer it if you can be more specific about what you mean.

    I mean...

Seeing as though the event is hidden behind Rift, which is essentially a battle pass I'd say it is in topic.

But I'll be more specific. Do you think the reactions to the event are unfair? Asking in good faith because I'm insanely curious about your input. I know of you from lurking the forums.

I've been called a simp and a white knight for defending someone from demonstrably untrue accusations when they weren't there to defend themselves. It seems many people can't tell the difference between swooping in to save someone who doesn't need saving (what a white knight actually is) and standing up against genuine injustice.

Do you think the criticisms against Behavior's live service model is unfair and unfounded? If so, why not?

  • Neither. They're there to be used. The very concept of perk shaming is cringy

I had an issue a while back and they gave me almost a million blood points just for the issue. I was hot (it was issues with bp bonuses and what not) but thing is I still will talk about that they do that I don't like. I also accept they are a company and out to make money. currently they released outfits one day knowing many would buy them up and then discounted them the next day. Most everyone is saying they won't give back the difference. I am upset and annoyed at this but i'm not mad or pissed... i wanted it, I spent the shards and blamo i have the outfit. would i like the difference back? yup... i'd buy up the remaining skins. ah well. thing is I know not everything is to be given to me, nor do i expect it but here on the forums i see people saying i'm entitled to X, Y, or Z! I've seen people claim the phrase "the customer is always right" which is not the case because when that phrase was created it was understood that "customer" was plural and meant 51% or more of the customers that shop there and it was a suggestion for shop owners to listen critically to their customers not take every single one as the one that is right. He is not an apologist, nor a white knight. he is a person who's opinion differs from the others that don't like it and those terms are used to belittle and undermine his words. That is a form of bullying. Agreeing to disagree is fine, but he didn't post for people to agree with him but just to state his opinion but he took the disagreement properly and well. @Mikerotch you belittle him because he got something and thus you assume he is being bought. Thanks for showing your colors. and TERRO: you did frame your post well and level headed so I thank you for that because to many times people won't look at an opinion and accept it as just that an opinion and doesn't have to change your opinion. Brabo Terro, (the system won't let me @ you since it will only accept terr and something else.

With all due respect my friend, I somehow think you missed the entire point of the backlash. 🤔

    Anyone want anything?

Do those hotdogs have chili and cheese on them?

All this stupid backlash pisses me off, and the majority of people on these forums are the most hypocrital people. They want cosmetics they don't want to pay for. They want characters, and content they expect free. They want free progression, free characters, and free dlc. Then turn around and expect a bug free, cross platform, with cross progression like as if getting that ######### doesn't cost - well I don't know - MONEY?! All the ######### while this game requires so much difficult coding because it's a HORROR GAME.

    I can even go further.

Let's talk about balancing. Like what the actual ######### people. This is supposed to be a FUN CASUAL GAME! The most of these players can't seem to get that through their heads. They want to min max everything, and be as competitive as humanly possible - ruining the game for the people who actually just want to have fun, and ruining the game for players that want to play Killer because all they get is bullied, and have to sweat every round just to be able to do sub-par.

How about the consistent toxicity? Calling each other every single thing but a human, literally people telling others to kill themselves over a casual game. Dead by Daylight ended up getting a renown for having THE MOST toxic community in current day gaming - even worse than World of Warcraft, Call of Duty, and Rainbow Six: Siege.

Then the sheer amount of people that come on these forums and just straight up talk out of their ass - that know absolutely nothing about the games actual balance, programming, or development of the game.

Like seriously BHVR is one of the few companies that has the most communication with their playerbase, and they get torn apart for it. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if they go as quiet as triple AAA titles and start telling their hypocritcal playerbase "We don't care if you don't like it".

To be honest, if anything BHVR is doing at this point is straight up a scam. I'm not surprised, with the amount of bullying they have gotten since I started playing. The players deserve it. Hands down. I wouldn't be surprised if the company did just want to take as much money as they can humanly scrap from this game and then walks away from their un-appreciative audience.
