Perks like NM, Thanatophobia, etc., sometimes get ######### on because people who run them "never get to use them", or, in the case of Thanatophobia and wiggling, don't make as much of an impact as they wanted. In this thread I'll try to explain why they have the wrong mindset about these perks/interactions.

Let's start with No Mither. Arguably, its main characteristics are the permanent Broken status and the ability to pick yourself up from the dying state as many times as you want.

Now, as we all know, most killers won't let a No Mither survivor stay in the dying state; they will hook that survivor. To survivors, this seems like a waste of No Mither, since they never get to pick themselves up from the dying state. However, consider this: you didn't pick yourself up, but the killer was forced to hook you. They could've slugged you to pressure everyone if you didn't have the perk, but they couldn't, because you had No Mither.

Now Thanatophobia. The perk slows down survivors' interactions depending on how many are alive and not healthy.

At its full power, it increases generator repair time by 20 seconds (see my PSA on how to properly calculate how long interactions take if you're slowed). Killers see this as useless because that almost never happens, since survivors will just heal each other and there's no reliable way to make them Broken.

The thing is that when survivors are constantly healing each other, they're actually wasting more time than you would've otherwise gained from Thanatophobia. One heal takes 16 seconds, assuming one survivor is healing another. That's two survivors who are doing nothing for almost the same length of time as Thanatophobia at full power.

Wiggling. It takes 16 seconds to fully escape from the killer's grasp, but it's seen as useless because "you can never wiggle free" and some survivors just won't wiggle at all. On the other hand, the fact that you're wiggling to begin with will prevent the killer from taking you into the basement, or hooking you in some remote corner of the map away from your teammates, or hooking you in a dead zone so you can't escape if they come back.

The mindset that if you don't fully use something it becomes worthless completely ignores one important concept: deterrence. These effects aren't there to be used every single time, they're there to heavily discourage the other side from ignoring the perks/mechanics.

So, the next time you look at a perk or mechanic, don't just think about the immediate effects and how often you will realistically be able to use them, but also think about how that will change the way your opponents play.

I think you might have convinced me.

people would get used to it, and it wouldn't be scary anymore. impossible task. lol, i'm not "trying to pull" anything, just saying my opinion and also confirmed facts. i dont take side in anything so i am obviously not pulling any us vs them. lol, anything else? or will you open your eyes and mind and see you aren't always right, and that there might be a point in my comments?

I mean your post wasn't that deep, I understood what you were saying and agree that these ideas may not work out but no one was operating out of bad faith and was just having a discussion. There wasn't any need for you to insult them. You were being antagonistic for the sake of it.

yeah, horror THEMED online game. it is that already. but these suggested changes wouldn't be THEMES, they'd be a huge nerf to survivors, and this game would be automatic loss for survivors (which it sometimes already is) and that would result to the game dying. i'm new to the forums and can't believe people are this stupid here lmao go and play actual horror games or watch a horror movie if you want horror and dont try to ruin a good online game. if you don't like how this game works, stop playing. or maybe they should make a bot mode for braindead potato killers, for easy 4ks with no effort, that's probably the idea behind this thread anyway.. XDD this just made my day thanks. interesting these forums are, with so many terrible ideas and zero brain cell :D maybe one day y'all wake up.

I have to point out that this reaction is a letdown and honestly immature. There's a time and place for this Us vs them crap you're trying to pull

  • @jotaro said:

It's an online video game, not a horror movie or anything. if you want to play a horror game, play something like until dawn or outlast. i repeat, this is an ONLINE video game. You can't just make it automatic loss for the other role, or the game would die.

I don't know about that. Friday the 13th: The Game was the closest we have ever gotten to an actual horror movie in terms of gameplay and interactions with other players. Of course this is personal opinion and I'd love to elaborate further but each match felt fresh because you never knew what the new batch of players would do. Being the last person alive actually felt terrifying because you had to outlast this killing machine which around this time has reached his final phase and is able to knock down doors easily. Jason actually felt like an imposing force just like in the films so if you wanted to take him on, you had to work with other players.

Don't even get me started on the selfish and cowardly nature of other players, which made things go 0 to 100. Ever been robbed for your seat on the boat because Jason is close?

I disagree with this notion that online games can't be scary. It's all the matter on which aspects you want the player to feel that fear in. Dead by Daylight for example capitalizes on the fear of failure.

  • @brokedownpalace said:

Almost every single time I watch the last survivor in the game and the killer does this, they either A) pull them off the gate, B) down them right before it opens or C) down them right after it opens. The killer then hooks or moris the survivor. Sometimes they go so far as to let them crawl until just before they can escape before hooking or killing them.

Yes there are occasions when the killer is genuinely being friendly but they're so rare that I gave up long ago. I don't struggle, recover, try to open the gate, or move. I'm not giving anyone the satisfaction of pulling one over on me and the potential reward is 5k bloodpoints.. I'll pass.

If they drop me ON TOP OF the hatch of course I'll take it. No way I'm crawling to it though 😅

Keep your blood points, Entity, you're not getting an ounce of hope from me!

I make the mistake of forcing my good will on the last survivor, they always wiggle off and run only for me to down them then drop them off at the exit gate. Sometimes this goes on until they get the point and try to escape, but by this time it's too late. I even smack the exit gate for them. Never had this problem as The Pig. If you're Tapp you will survive no matter what.

  • I hate there isn't a neither option. I feel it's overblown. I barely even see keys, especially moris

  • @Ryan51090 said:

I would have to ask this question to killers. Why, when you down the last survivor do you leave them to go search for the hatch to close it or choose to not pick them up and just stand there next to them waiting for the timer to run out?

Personally, when I play as survivor and the gate is opened, I exit. Unless there is a survivor downed or hooked, I may try to help them.

There clearly seems to be much sportsmanship missing from players of this game on both sides.

You aren't wrong, but the question was addressed to killers, not survivors. They want to know why we don't come to the exit gate.

  • @The_Grim_Reaper99 said:

You're so worked up about this issue that you still don't even recognize that my smart-ass comment actually served a purpose in pointing out "hey, no #########, that was a story about coming back and finding a different environment... in response to a post about said environment having changed... agreeing with their assessment" without having to lay those facts explicitly and matter-of-fact like I would for a child.

Maybe try reading it all again without the baggage. The anecdote directly opens with that statement "I learned my lesson quickly," and the ending acknowledges "it's my own damn fault for trying to do something nice" ...so what possibly lead you to believe that's something I've tried to do since then? And if you did follow along, then what purpose does your condescending reiteration even serve?

What are you actually expressing beyond a kneejerk interjection "NO! DO NOT DO!" because of a tangental relationship to this issue you're so clearly spun about right now? (To the point of obliviousness and overt hostility I might add)

You're tilting at windmills. I don't even disagree with anything you've said in the thread, and I'd upvoted many of your posts. I don't go to the gate anymore either, yet here you seeing one amusing story and only see ZE ENEMY. I guess because everything is Pro or Con, black or white, support or refute, with nothing in between. Especially not good natured conversation.

So here we are where you don't even realize you've taken what's meant to be a simple amusing anecdote and arrogantly interjected your own reading between the lines into the equation to white-knight "what REALLY happened" about a series of events that, for all you know, I just made up entirely. That's arrogant to the point of delusion. You're spun up about something here to do that, and gonna read whatever you want to read anyhow. …And now you've tripled down with a display of overt bad manners and hostility based on even more projected interactions.

Go for a walk, maybe take a few shots, and check your own whining, friend. This issue starts and ends at you.

You know what? I ain't trying to risk a ban. I'll admit to maybe misreading your initial response to my post despite me not even being hostile and going my own way.

Aven I normally consider you pretty mature and rational but that has to be the single most entitled thing I've seen you type.

You're not stupid and I'm not going to treat you like you are. You're well aware of how annoying BM tactics like that can be same goes for something like The Killers smack in the survivor on hook.

If you're not in the mood to deal with that and you just want to move on to your next match that doesn't make you any less mature and stating otherwise is a ridiculous notion.

My thoughts exactly. I'm going to be real and say that they were acting in bad faith and just wanted to get a reaction from posters. I'm not perfect myself but I know an attempt to get salty tears when I see it.

Hah, I quit DBD for about as long and discovered that same surprise. Learned my lesson quickly though.

I was going for an adept achievement against a Hag who was just having a godawful match. Super easy to ditch, maybe 2 hooks the whole game. Everyone else escaped without consequence while I opened that last exit gate.

I know how frustrating those matches can be, and use to main Hag, so I wanted to do a solid and waited to make sure they got at least one customary free hit, like I'd always appreciated as a killer. And I do mean waited. Took 30 seconds to get to my gate. I stood just far enough from the finish line so they'd get the gist. Even stayed stationary as they approached to be totally clear this wasn't some BM or selfish extra escape.

Okay they're coming. They're coming. Still I'm waiting patiently as they sweep to my side a bit, and uh okay, well just take the hit so I can go and... NOED.

Mother ######### NOED. Their first and only end game hit. My first and only down. They desperately snatched me up off the ground and gleefully darted to a hook as if they'd finally showed me what's what, adding that last swipe at me on the hook, as that type so often does.

Escape I'd earned. Adept I'd earned. My own damn fault for trying to do a nice thing 😑

    That's DBD for ya.

They had no way of knowing you were trying to let them get a free hit and probably assumed you were taunting. There's literally no way to voice in intent in this game. You should have left. You've seen the outpour of responses that are negative towards waiting at the exit gate. Leave. It was avoidable.

  • @Flawless_ said:

Let me preface this by saying that this is just my opinion and everyone is free to use whatever they want. But just because a combo is part of the game doesn't mean it's healthy for it. Especially since you do not need these to win even at red ranks. Whoever says otherwise has no idea how to play killer.

Why would anybody use a build that relies on making the game miserable for the other side in order to work? Isn't it more rewarding to win by actually outplaying survivors at chases and good map awareness rather than being carried by ruin? I don't know about you guys but using these 3 perks got old really fast for me...it's just not fun to crush survivors to the ground every single match.

Please stop pretending you're not trying to rile everyone up. If everyone could use whatever they want then what's up with the title? You're trying to get some of that "salty killer main" tears with an occasional circle jerk or two with other posters. You could have easily made your point without all of that.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1727501#Comment_1727501

The thing is, forcing Survivors out did not do anything against those who wanted to take the game hostage, because they did not need to wait at the Exit Gates. They could just stealth around the Map.

While I completely understand what teabagging means, I will not understand how someone can be that upset about it. When I get teabagged at the Exit Gates I mostly say "gg, teabagging isnt necessary tho" and often enough the Survivors who did not teabag are on my side (same when I play Survivor, I dont like to see teammates at the Exit Gates teabagging). But in the end, it is a game, and it is up to the person playing Killer if they really want their mood to be worse, because some Survivors decide to teabag.

In the end, thats what those Survivors want.

I'm doing my best here not to get you wrong

But what? Just because it's a game doesn't mean it is okay for players to be uncivil with each other. It doesn't matter how you personally handle people being dicks to you, it matters how it affects other people. It's the reason I don't hit people on hooks anymore after learning people hated that.

I could give a flying crap about the survivor's rulebook and want it abolished in place for a coherent system but I follow it anyway because I understand certain nuances, I could imagine sitting in one place could be boring and irritating, and I'm the most vocal person here against the rulebook.((And I get called racial slurs anyway, but that's a story for another day))

You have the stress of wrestling with the game's mechanics and having to deal with four other players ready to take you on a ride if you lose. You're not even playing for fun at this point, you are trying to win so you won't get mocked at the end of the match.

I will also add that I understand that malicious intent isn't always the case. Sometimes a survivor and I will teabag at each other as a greeting or survivors would sometimes invite me to teabag with them if I am using a character that could crouch, but this is usually after I let them go or farm.

I think people take issue with your post because it's like you're doing mental gymnastics to make it seem like people are overreacting despite the community having a serious harassment problem. And on top of that this post was addressed to killers and we've answered honestly, I can't say I see the damage.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1727096#Comment_1727096

Or, they can just show that they are mature and force the Survivors out so that they go into the next game as well. I will never understand why some Killers are so upset about a Survivor spamming the Crouch-Button.

I'm going to assume your post isn't in bad faith, but it's the universal sign of disrespect. Literally anyone who has picked up a controller knows that teabagging is meant to humiliate your opponent. It's been a thing since the popularity of shooters, I believe.

It's less about that than the survivors wasting time when they could move onto the next match. It's gotten to the point where the End Game Collapse was released because they held the game hostage. Don't even get me started on the harassment that follows at the end game chat.

If you don't think it's a big deal then that's cool, but this behavior is not only rude but uncivil.

killers complain about survivors not leaving, but then they don’t even force them out 🤔

I'm trying to be cool because I don't want to be banned as I'm already probably not the Mods' favorite person, but this made me lose several braincells. Survivors are free to leave when they please.

  • @piggypablo said:

Maybe 1 out of the 10 most recent games I've played, has the killer approached the exit gate. Even then, it was only with like 15 seconds left on the timer.

Some survivors allow me to hit them so I'll get extra points. But that's rare because it's usually a teabagging party or they'll flashlight me for a bit longer, so when it's over and I don't have any end game builds I just roam around then break pallets or just hang out in the basement while I check FB or the forums; that makes it worse sometimes because they come down there to join me so they could bully me some more.

That's not how it works. They'd need to license the character from Horror Inc or whoever have the rights to the character. Otherwise, Jason could appear in as many games as they allow. For example there was Killer Puzzle, Mortal Kombat, and his online game.

There are not many really good Nurses in the game, but those who are, basically dont lose. And there is nothing easier than winning against a bad Nurse. Good Nurses also dont swing, which gives them a longer fatique, so the distance gained against a good Nurse is worse than against a bad Nurse.

Before her Rework, it was possible to compensate the lack of skill with Nurse by using more Blinks and/or Range Add-Ons, also one of the reasons why you saw more Nurse-Players.

But as I said before, highly unlikely that the number of good Nurses will increase, because a) she still has Bugs (which are known and being worked on) and b) there is not really a point in learning her, when you dont need her to win games. You can basically 4K with every Killer, and Killers like Spirit or Freddy are far easier to pick up with similar results.

I ran a Nurse around high out of my mind then escaped with the rest of my team because I rescued them. I think this has to be a bit of an exaggeration. There's no killer in this game that's an instant win button. Never in my lifetime have I picked up a killer then won every game without effort. I think this is insulting towards people that put the effort into learning how to play them.

That aside, what would satisfy you? People want the killers to be harder to learn and when people learn to play them, it's a problem. I'm asking this in good faith. What would be a satisfying design for the killers in this game gameplay wise?

You don't need to apologise for disagreeing, and I will admit I probably wrote my first comment very aggressively.

If you go back to the 80's, two of the classic horror killer icons were born, Freddy and Jason. They were so iconic that many sequels were made and there's even talks of a Friday the 13th reboot despite the legal troubles going on. If you go back to the 70's, a personified embodiment of pure evil, aka Michael Myers was born. So many sequels and reboots were made that they have two new Halloween movies coming out soon.

My point is, Springtrap has only been in the spotlight for 5 years, (I'm not talking about FNAF in general, Springtrap made his first major appearance in the 3rd game which released in 2015). 5 years is nothing compared to over 60-50 decades of horror icons. Dead by Daylight adding Springtrap before any other icon would be a joke, especially because there's far more horror icons out there that have yet to be given the spotlight in Dead by Daylight.

That's fine. I wasn't bothered by it, but I can't speak for the OP.

The thing about Dead by Daylight is that it's a celebration of horror and its role in pop culture. It's the Smash of horror games. Stranger Things, Silent Hill, and Left 4 Dead are still rather young franchises compared to their peers features in DBD yet they're still iconic. FNAF is no different. FNAF played a huge role in survival horror objectively so to me Springtrap has earned his spot with the others.

  • @Cornpopers_Evan said:

Here’s the thing people have to remember, and I mean, REALLY remember, is this. Though it may not seem like it, places like the DBD Reddit, forums, Twitter or whatever, are the vocal minority. We have 20 million players and growing but, when it comes to these sites, the numbers can be very bloated. Just think of how many people that have created a account on these sites to comment or talk like once or twice and that’s it. Yeah, the forums have a lot of members on it but, once again, I see a LOT of repeat people discussing topics. That’s like seeing the polls section because, as neat as they are, I see quite a few of the same people popping up in those polls.

Too get to your question though, yeah, he’s pretty divisive on these sites, though, yet again, I still personally believe it’s just the vocal minority arguing with each other while the silent majority would just be happy with another cool chapter. We can make arguments both for and against that idea all day so I won’t go further into that. Some counter arguments against him have already been brought up, such as the FNAF community acts like children. Although, in my opinion, that’s every “community” that has ever existed and will exist in the future. Every single one of them as their bad apples, trust me, this community isn’t any saint either, hell, some of the replies in this thread can attest to just how childish it can be. Just look at how the community acted when pops time was getting changed.

Another one is that some just don’t find it scary and, that’s fine. Just remember this though, horror is up there as being one of the most subjective topics ever, right up there with comedy. What will be scary to me will not be scary to you. I’m scarred of heights, some would say that’s a ludicrous thing to be scared of and that’s ok, as long as they see why I would be then that’s fine. Others are scared of spiders and, though I’m not scared of them, I can see why. A good friend of mine is absolutely terrified of animatronics, can’t stand them and some would make fun of her for it but, once again, we are all scared of different things.

Now, some say they want other horror characters in first and, once again, that’s fine, we all have characters we’d like to see added first but saying it would be a waste of time and money or that he isn’t iconic enough for dbd is a bit harsh imo. I have said this time and time again, it is not OUR game, it is BHVR’s game. What they see as a good fit for their game is up for them to decide to pour they’re money and effort into, that decision just won’t ever be made by us. Also, what is “iconic” is a very wishy washy blanket statement. Some are indisputable, Jason or Myers as a example, they are absolutely iconic characters that will always be around in one way or another. However, are characters like Candyman or Pumpkinhead on that level? I personally don’t think so and that raises another issue. There are different levels of iconic.

One final one I see people bring up a lot is that they got sick of it with just how much it keeps on getting brought back up and, yeah, don’t have much to say on that one because it definitely gets annoying. Though, I personally don’t find it much more annoying then when Candyman was getting talked about constantly at one point or the never ending topics like NOED OP, DS OP, killers toxic, survivors are toxic, I’m quitting the game blah blah blah.

Anyways, that’s my TED talk and I’ll just say this, everyone has a right to their opinions. Some will say they don’t want it while others, like myself, will sit there and say we do, just like ANY other licensed chapter that is brought up. Can we please just not be a ass to each other for different opinions or other communities though? Honestly, I think @StibbityStabbity and @APoipleTurtle are very good examples at making your points heard but not being rude about it. Props to the both of you and the rest being nice as well. :)

From what I've seen only one side is being incredibly rude and dismissive and that's the nay sayers. They come in and shout down anyone who wants Springtrap then proceed to insult FNAF's fanbase as if ours don't have a massive amount of cringe in it. Hell, I see a lot of cringe in these forums too. "Kate is so beautiful!" "How big are Kate's boobs?!" or my personal favorite "Waaaaaaah I dun want LGBT in DBD! Waaaah!!!" to name a few.

Not get punished for being selfish, tell that to my -1000 points because I betrayed a councillor...they totally ran in front of the car...it totally wasn't me trying to get the Chad is a D trophy. In all seriousness though, I've went back to F13 and I forgot how much I loved it, I used to hate how random it was but now it gives it something exciting.

That was me. I was ushering everyone to the cops and was being inspirational over the chat, I like to sort of get in character for Tommy, and before I got there someone ran me over and was like "######### YOU I WANNA LIVE!!!" I died laughing. I haven't played in a while, but I'd love to get back into it.

It has a magic Dead by Daylight does not. That's why when I see people take Friday seriously like the person I was debating with, I get confused. It lacks the competitive elements DBD has. I don't take playing Friday seriously at all. Not enough to throw a fit, unless someone's being a douchebag.

F13 was easy as hell as a counselor, so long as you weren't one of the first 3 Jason went for. The fact that you're pointing to it like it was so hard for counselors to escape is laughable.

Exactly. I'm wondering if that person even played it.

  • Just more of these bad faith posts lol

Why? No counter argument? Just mad dbd doesnt favor killers as much as jason? Oh wait it does just play spirit lol

When in doubt, do the us vs them. No I find your post to be overdramatic and I disagree with you. Also there's literally no killer in this game that's an instant win button. Anytime this is thrown around it's never in good faith, just a form of tired manipulation to get people to play how you want them to. It's also cringy.

Don't take DBD or most things too personally. This is just a game, and most people, regardless of their role, aren't having dreams of absolutely crushing your desire to live. Most of them are just here for a meme, a laugh, a loof, a gaff, and a goof. Now, being mad at the game itself for barely functioning, having tons of bugs, no real meaningful features added after 4 years.. yeah, that's reasonable. :P

Any reasonable person would be annoyed at being griefed.

Lol f13 balanced? Game is like playing freddy and spirit with trapper traps. All you do is trap the objectives and insta choke everyone. When's the last time anybody had a full team of tryhards to take on Jason? The only time there's any more than 2 escapes is when the Jason is totally incompetent.

Even the devs said the game wasnt balanced. They WANTED Jason to be overpowered with escaping being the exception. Which is terrible design considering the game isnt scary at all, just annoyingly frustrating as counselor. I thank god every day you guys arent on the dbd balance team lol.

I thank God you aren't either

Just played a match where the killer was not hooking survivors when there were available hooks. He would pick up the survivor and take them to a corner of the map (farm) and would have them wiggle out in the corner where there were no pallets, windows, etc., and he would be able to down them within seconds of wiggling out. And he repeated this process probably 20+ between 4 different survivors.

In the post game lobby, I just said "I hope you're proud of yourself" and "now I understand why so many people hate this community". His reasoning for doing it was 2 of us had DS. He proceeded to say how it's sad that we can't win without having to use perks like DS. (Mind you, he was using ruin, undying, thanataphobia, and BBQ - LOL).

Part of my rant is, it really bothers me that people who play like this never get any consequences, but someone will get banned for saying something stupid in post game chat.

People get banned for post chat stuff? When? I can't even count how many times I was being called racial slurs for the simple crime of playing killer.

I have a feeling this article is written by someone who doesn't play Dead By Daylight.

They even mention Jeepers Creepers as needing a chapter, you know... that monster made by a... monster?

Oh and it gets worse, wanting Chucky? Everyone know something like that wouldn't work due to never being able to see where chucky is.

I completely agree with you, God I do, like hell...but man I want Chucky so bad. I wonder if there's any online horror games he'd fit in? Maybe Phasmophobia?

    He was gutted.

Here is how the list goes of reworked killers to make them more “skillful and fun”

    Nurse

    Billy

    Pyramid Head

Next on the “more fun to play” list will be:

    Deathslinger

    Spirit

    Freddy

    Mark my words. 😐

The Spirit's going to scream "HERE I COME!" when she phases

Freddy is going to be removed and killers will be given a Freddy charm

Deathslinger's gun will no longer have the ability to fire and you'll have to use his M1 ability. His IR will allow you to shoot however and then eventually that will be nerfed.

    No. It's gross.

  • Killers why the hell do you even play this game anymore? Literally everything you do to get the edge is placed under scrutiny. We should just push for AI bots and be done with it.

See, you´d be the one unconscious with a set of broken bones in an alley if you´d argue like that with those people I was refferring to, achieving nothing but that, but I digress.

It´s about what you deem more important. Being able to participate in the community or voicing your concerns about certain things. Of course you can make up your own mind about that.

Let´s also not forget that this is a gaming community and nothing political. I understand your POV but not everything is worth fighting tooth and nails for.

I hate to burst your bubble, but that's untrue. The nature of the gaming community being apolitical that is. There's no such thing as apolitical. The issues discussed here falls into political all the time, class inequality, corporate greed, and addiction. You can't discuss the Behavior's direction without it being divorced from politics because the very nature of these discussions are political. Censorship definitely falls in line of the political.

I'd say the future of a game we love is worth fighting tooth and nails for, otherwise...we could just play something else. I hear CIV 5 is nice.

The thing is about DS, when where is no obsession killers become the biggest dicks. Had few games yesterday where non of us survivors ran DS and we got camping huntress who immediately hooked unhooked survivor and we got camping Ghostface, who just hided around the hook. Big shock, most people are arseholes if given an opportunity. This pandemic kinda proven in. So unless BHVR makes so where is always an obsession when games start, DS will be ran on people. Plus if you trigger BT and DS that means you are around the hook. I haven't eaten a DS in a long time because my zoomy wraith is fast as ######### and I go disrubt people on gens. Yeah, endgame DS gives people free escape, big whoop, I'm personally not that big of tryhard to secure that one petty kill. And they tbag me before leaving! Oh no, my feelings!

As for ruin/undying combo, yeah, its a free win combo 90% of a time. From time to time you will get stomped, but ruin/undying/tinkerer pretty much stops all solo survivors in their tracks. Tried it on my wraith and only one group stomped me good. From like 30 matches. Every other game was with at least 2 gens still being up. And it's with efin wraith! Playing againts nurse with this build is just 🤮🤮

Even killer mains like otzdarva say undying have to be nerfed. It's like playing with training wheels on.

And yes, gen speed is a big problem, I agree, let's wait for beginning collapse and see how BHVR fixes early gen rush.

Don't worry. I'm sure they'll nerf it in no time. Provided their track record

    The rule of DBD:

Survivors are allowed OP perks and broken mechanics.

Killers are allowed to Git Gud. (But if Killers ACTUALLY git gud, whatever they're doing should be nerfed!)

You're missing the most important one tbh:

Everything the killer does takes no skill thus is brain dead. If you do said things then you should feel guilty.

  • As much as it pains me to agree with him. He's kind of right. Friday the 13th: The Game is a far superior horror game. I'll go into greater detail why:

    1. You're given a reason to grind and level up because you earn new skins. Here, you're leveling up for what feels like the sake of it.
    2. Jason is played correctly is actually a menacing force and is given the tools to apply pressure. There's more objectives he has to tend to. The councilors are given more to do in the game.
    3. When Jason's in rage mode then you have wasted enough time for him to get to that state, your only option is to survive until time runs out. I've done this several times and made it out. The tension in this case feels authentic.
    4. Friday the 13th: The Game actually FEELs like a party game. I could share with you all of the hilarious experiences I had with the game. Dying isn't a big deal to me because it's part of the horror experience, you make it or you don't. Meanwhile DBD's mostly horror stories and it's not just me, the forum is filled with complaints all the damn time. DBD is a sports game with a horror skin slapped on. The community doesn't seem to get that.
    5. You are also given more tools to play with and you could do your own thing. You could be selfish and not be punished by the game. DBD's too restrictive on both sides. Jason is also given creative tools to work against councilors.
    6. Team kill really made things exciting because players robbed each other for opportunities to escape. If the community wasn't so damn toxic, Friday would have been even more interesting. It played on human nature like most survival games did. That's something no other online horror game has given us.
    7. There wasn't a way for Jason to camp. There were dynamic ways you could get pass Jason. If he guards the boat then everyone else could use the cops, outlast him, fix the cars, or even kill him. No loops or infinites.

Had it not been for the lawsuit, the developers' incompetence, and the entitled and cringy community Friday could have been something.

  • Damn, survivors and killers unite against the scummy practices made in the name of this game and it's right back to strangling each other. It was nice not seeing these rulebook posts while it lasted.

Are FNAF gamers really that toxic? And can you tell me why?

They aren't. They only catch heat because of the weird fan art and the fact that it's for kids, meanwhile I could argue that this fanbase is worse and can be cringe in its own right.
