It would free up a perk slot. I saw a 3 min game today. Ruin should just be integrated into gens for every killer, and just drop the perk.

Same reason Brand new part isn't base. Poor design.

"other side played bad" - did 4 gens without your help

there is no such thing as pipping because your team is bad it's tracking you how you played it doesn't compare your performances (maybe only first emblem works like that)

It does count the other side tho based on hooks and unhooks. Same with the chaser emblem tho stealth works. Literally half your emblems require the other side to be competent.

Relaxing gameplay? I wouldn't classify farming as gameplay.

Yes, farming will get worse, hence the thread.

It's clearly gameplay. Games on and your playing hense gameplay.

I’m not saying I did well, you should never de-pip for everyone escaping or killing everyone. I’m not asking to pip, just not to de-pip.

We apparently did good enough to escape so why should we be punished for matchmaking.

Cause matchmaking is way to strict on both sides.

  • @GrootDude said:

That’s the thing though, why should people de-pip because the other side played bad?

So tell me how did you do well you did half a objective? Chances are everyone in that game either depiped or safety.

If the killer does bad then you have less unhooks which means less chances to earn points. So if one side dominated chances are both sides lose in the match result.

Yeah, I understand that people want to farm to avoid actually doing the challenges. But it's ruining the experience for other players in the process. And wwith upcoming DC penalties. I don't know man...

Killer or Survivors want to farm? Free BP and a relaxing game? Sign me up.

Chances are this weekend you'll be bombarded with farming. Double blood point event.

Being a Red rank survivor requires you to do certain amounts of things. You can get chased all game and you wont safety. Even with the changes to lightbringer chances are you wont safety either if you get hit or downed if your just being chased.

How bad of a killer are you to have to chase the key all game.

  • @GrootDude said:

So I was chased most of the game, got hooked twice did half a gen then escaped, why should I de-pip for that?

Need to Unhook twice safely and heal someone once, 2 gens, stealth or get chased momentarily. That's how you pip without issue.

  • @GreezyWeezy said:

I hear a lot of killers complaining about gens going too fast. What if you could get a 3-5% gen regression bonus for hitting a difficult skill check to slow things down just a lil bit?

I want it so the time it takes for a Killer to damage a generator is the same amount of time a survivor has to take to stop it from regression.

This solves a lot of issues regarding gen tapping during midchase. While also meaning that a killer kicking a gen without PGTW also means something.

It's hard to fix gens honestly because a lot of gen issues are also based on map sizes. While I don't think this solves everything. I do agree this is the start on the right path.

  • Then ofc a lot of killers will be worse with the regular meta build. Each killer has a build which compliments the play they have. At least the no addons is pretty fair across the board.

For example while Billy and Trapper both benefit from the generic M1 build. Billy uses it better while Trapper benefits from a different build.

Either way thanks for your overall opinion on the tier list.

Trapper is kinda bad without add-ons. He is outdated, if he started with all of his traps, he would be easily B tier.

As a killer, I've been getting matched with red ranks ever since entering green ranks, and those people are the sweatiest tryhards you'll ever meet. Endless looping, running around pallets just to try and stun you and then sit at it taunting you until you start breaking it before they sprint away again only to repeat. So to deal with those kinds of people, I bring a green mori, just so I can remove the annoyance from the game.

I know man I'm saying everyone is having that issue as well who plays killer.

Pig did get nerfed with endgame, and is one of the weaker killers, but i got her recently, and I've been having a ton of fun with her, and I've been winning (4k) alot. I know she's considered weak, but i hope she doesn't get totally changed like freddy did.

I meant specifically the rework they flew PsychoScorpionz in for with Pig.

I actually main Pig among a few other killers. Pigs mostly weak if you don't put the time in. She is more a jack of all trades master of none. So for people who know the basics incredibly well she's also incredibly strong because how versatile her kit is. If you can adapt to players incredibly quick she starts to become top tier. Sadly she's only as good as you.

  • XD pretty sure many people did.

We all have been. While some people remain unaffected due to experince it significantly hurts less experienced players. Use this time with matchmaking to learn new tactics and don't take it seriously man. I also heard some people depiped to yellow to get paired with people who have more or less the same experience level in the game.

If you slug instead of hook them they personally die more slowly despite their team being applied the exact same amount of pressure. So the slot isn't technically wasted.

Actually you do both. Once you learn how and when to slug. While it does apply the same pressure. Slugging a recently unhooked survivor is more beneficial as it takes longer to get someone up over unhooking. Chances are you downed them and started the chase with the orginal unhooker which means a 3rd survivor or unbreakable is needed.

3 people not doing Gens is a massive advantage. If the survivors are not SWF then chances are all 4 survivors are no longer on gens. Slugging with a purpose has its uses.

    DISCLAIMER

Im just being sarcastic and trying to help, not saying this is a 100% real counter, since it isn't in game

I Slug them. 100% more efficient and cheaper then Google Home/Alexa. Least this way someone had to come get them meaning 2 less survivors currently on a generator.

Less People on Gens = More Survivor Time Wasted

Survivors Time Wasted = Killer Time Efficiently

Efficient Killer Time = Less Survivor Chances due to Inefficiency.

    Survivor Inefficiency = Killer Wins

Forcing Survivors to do other things makes the game easier for you. Plus them never being able to hit you with DS means they have wasted a perk which always feels bad.

Nah that's just Survivor experience from other games calling fourth wind magic.

Could add more depth into the outdoor maps since currently, it's just a few trees and hills scattered throughout the map.

Perhaps, since some maps have Dead Zones, we could have a shallow pond that grants great stealth capabilities. However, the killer and the survivor will be inflicted by a 10% hindred status effect while in the pond and 5 seconds after leaving the pond. 😁🤗

Imagine running through that while Looping. Both sides will be like "just one more inch"

Killer will close the gap and get close as a Survivor gets in. Survivor will relengthen the gap when he runs out.

I don't think you play killer. When did I say that? Survivors taking a few seconds to stop a gen from regressing sounds interesting and would be a nice buff to some niche perks like Surge, Surveillance, and Thrilling Tremors.

Just your comment about overcharge made me think that. My apologies if thats not what you intended. A lot of issues Killers face is because a lot it is based on Time Management. Massive Maps like Temple for example. The Gen issue I was just mentioning.

While on the other hand small maps are bad for survivors because that time management is cut significantly and a lot of killers bloodlust you on pointless loops.

Random Side note TT is significantly more powerful than BBQ in the right hands. I wouldn't call it niche. Just underestimated.

  • @Waffleyumboy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/950978#Comment_950978

Killers breaking gens as quickly as survivors can tap them would be problematic. If you don't like tapping run overcharge 🤣

I dont want killers to break Gens quicker. I want it so after a Killer damages a Gen. The time a killer spent kicking it should be equal to a survivor stopping the regression.

Not sure about you, but I can tap a gen and do the overcharge skillcheck whe running last time I saw a killer use Overcharge was maybe yellow ranks. So unless it changed you still get the skillcheck after u get off the gen and you can still succeed that.

Not quite sure why you think I play killer that much regarding our conversation so far. Believe it or not I have several issues with both sides. Just most of the killer issues I have would only work after a full Map redesign.

  • Gonna be honest with you. Was waiting for this.

Brilliant let's not fix a issue. Oh wait that's DBD in a nutshell until one side complains so much the Devs cave.

  • @Waffleyumboy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/950929#Comment_950929

Map designs are much bigger problems. Gen tapping costs momentum btw.

Last time I got punished at red ranks by a killer when I tapped a gen they kicked was probably over a year ago. So that momentum loss is not really that big of a thing. Literally possible to do this mid chase while the killer is on the far end of the loop from you with no consequences. I'm also not a good survivor so I'm positive people could do this better then me. Tell me how this is fair? Big issue not really, but definitely an issue regardless.

Maps designs are probably the largest issue in DBD outside of bugs. A lot of issues regarding killers or survivors comes down to map size and layout. Someone mentioned that Static maps would solve a lot of issues regarding balancing issues while also giving a survivor and killer the bonus of map knowledge. While I have been thinking a static map would be interesting since you could do unique effects like the water stuff from the other thread. While it wont affect anyone with actual knowledge of said maps.

Really there is a lot they could do to fix the map issues, but they seem to be focused on other issues of the game currently. I'm odd though in the fact I think fixing maps would actually start solving issues or making issues that should be addressed obvious.

    Sorry did the post backwards.

  • @Waffleyumboy said:

Killers say survivors are op if they don't 4k every game.

On a serious note: devs keep nerfing survivors to accommodate their broken map design. I made a little post at feedback and suggestions about making survivors more than skins.

Once you make survivors more then skins you got either Side lobby dodging because of the survivor someone brought.

Biggest issues I can think of are honestly

The Abysmal amount of bugs, Map designs are unbalanced in either direction, and finally a Killer kicking a gen takes time though a survivor mid chase can run by it when your on the opposite side of the loop tap it and have no consequences.

Really once those 3 issues are fixed I feel the game will move in a more positive approach. With Maps becoming balanced it makes it so obvious flaws in Killer or Survivor can be fixed without the need to rework them unless needed while Perks and Killers can get QoL buffs and changes.

  • I mean deep water or random swamp areas would make sense with a Hindered Penalty. Normally if your in either of those you have resistance making you move slower.

Though if that became a thing I would start to argue for all maps to be reworked and have a static tile set so map knowledge becomes more useful.

  • Then they look at this and rework the scratched mirror.

  • Would deep water or the swamp finally add the hindered penalty in areas where water would be?

Being able to earn them through future events (but not being available in the store for cash) seems to be the option that gets the least amount of backlash from those who earned them during the original events. Getting them for free definitely isn't fair to those people. Getting them in the store via cash would put them in the same spot as current event cosmetics, but many think that diminishes their sentimental value, which is understandable.

So, I hope the devs consider allowing players to earn those four cosmetics through events in the future.

I honestly figured they would he added to a rift tier in a later rift.

In my experience playing killer on console isn't that bad. I have my sensitivity turned to max and I don't have problems getting 360'd or aiming hatchets. I think nurse is rather difficult being able to spin rapidly enough but I think she's just as hard on PC. I'd say PC makes it a little easier to turn and follow survivors but I really don't feel like I'm being hindered by the joysticks. Huntress is my favorite to play just because I've played enough CoD in my life to be pretty good with the hatchets. I'd say most people who talk ######### about playing on console haven't played it much.

I will say though there is frame stutter that isn't in a lot of other games. The game is definitely not optimized on console but it doesn't make it unplayable. I kind of wish they gave us options to turn down the graphics to improve the stutter but they only want people to see the nicest looking graphics

Except the hair. Least they finally fixed that kinda.

I have been playing DBD for quite some time now, and I have always loved this game, until now.. I'm a main survivor (solo, red ranks) and I have to say it's a freaking nightmare..

First I have to wait 5-10 minutes to even get into a match, just to be camped, tunneled, slugged and moried, even before I get to earn enough points not to depip.. An average match takes about 3-5 minutes before all survivors are slugged or killed.. It's just not fun anymore. I am sad having to leave the game, because it's always been one of my favorites, but at this point it's just not worth it anymore. I can't see how this game is supposed to be balanced? In every single match, the killer gets 30-40 k points, while my co-players and I have to praise ourselves lucky just to keep our ranks?

I gave up escaping long time ago, usually I am just trying to keep my head above water, and earn the points needed to keep my rank or pip, but could We at least increase blood-points for doing gens, totems, healing ect. to at least make it worthwhile for survivors? Most of the time I find myself thinking "I might as well DC, because I haven't gotten to do sh**" when I am getting tunneled, slugged and moried for God knows which time.. I am not a fan of people dcing, but I can't say I don't understand why they do it.

Something needs to be done, we are not all SWF teams and though they might be OP, we struggle on the solo surv side -.-

Why is it fair for a survivor to have equal BP to a Killer? You understand the reason people play Killer is mostly because of the BP difference. Would you like lobbies to be 40 plus mintues while everyone fights for the few Killer mains after the difference between Survivor and Killer blood points is exactly evened out?

A Killer has to deal with multiple people while juggling them has to deal with keeping Gens undone while keep pressure on the map. A Killer is by themselves so they don't have to fight for points except against the survivors.

Survivors have to loop a killer, be a little altruistic, and sit at gens to put pressure on a Killer. With 4 people doing this you fight for the points. You have a limited amount of gens, healing, totems, chest, unhooks, pallets, and doors throughout the entire trial. With 4 people actively engaging in these to obtain points.

Also if you deal with mass amounts of slugging you put Unbreakable on. Seriously change your build for what's happening. Like I tell everyone a build should cover your weaknesses. If Slugging is prevalent at your rank and games it's time to adjust for that. Meta builds are Meta for a reason, but not learning is a mistake many players commonly make on both sides.

DCing is a issue. If your DCing or debating it then your also part of the problem or becoming close to it. Chances are if your not gonna Pip or safety then you haven't figured out what you need to do for Pipping up and getting a Safety.

Also the Cap for BP on both sides is 32k unless a event makes it possible to go above it. So if a Killer or Survivor is using a perk slot for BBQ or WGLF they are attempting to get BP quickly. While BBQ has a aura effect as well that helps most people are using it for BP. It does help, but it's not as game changing at high ranks that people act or think like it is.

Mori it might feel bad, but did you ready up? Bring a Key? TTV streamer in your lobby? Many factors go into why a killer could of brought one. Remember that the killer is another player as well. What happened to make them want to bring one?

I heard rumors about dbd in console. I'm a PC player so I dunno if that's true. So PS4 and Xbox players pls answer this question; Is playing killer on console that bad?

If my information is accurate the killer wait times are 2 seconds and the survivor's is 10 minutes (completely opposite from PC BTW) and u have 89% chance to be against swf. Can someone please verify this information? I would appreciate it.

From what I can tell from playing both.

    Ps4

Random frame drops affect killers, Controllers for Survivor side is vastly superior to Keyboard and Mouse making certain movements possible that usually are not with Mouse and Keyboard. Also since Party Chat is in built with the PS4 SWF is significantly more common at all ranks and easier to do. With the PSN quick button you can see killer and the trophies to determine who they are and how much experience they could have. Also with the same feature you can invite the other survivors to a party to create a SWF.

    PC

My experience on PS4 has made it so playing against survivors on PC especially SWF have been significantly easier. I'm used to the SWF groups and not easily bullied by survivors. On the other hand I have issues transitioning from a PS4 controller to a Mouse and Keyboard. I usually run into a bunch of derankers a few times a day. I keep my PS4 controller hooked up for these SwF groups though.

Survivor = Controller over Mouse and Keyboard

Killer = Mouse and Keyboard over Controller

Then again if you started playing survivor on Mouse and Keyboard I would understand if you considered my opinion wrong.

Hex: Ruin - slow stealth killer needs to alow the game down. Just a little bit.

BBq + Chilli - Best tracking perk. And BP gain to replenish add-ons.

Surveillance - NOBODY expects this perk. It's good tracking, especially with an ambush style of play.

A Nurse's Calling - combine with Dash for easy downs.

Build relies on you focusing more on generators than hunting survivors. Chase them if you find them, but outside of that, don't leave your generators. Don't unload your RBT's early either. Wait until after first gen is done, or Ruin is destroyed. Then use to stall.

I mean it's specifically towards the player level, but you could be right. I never noticed any difference between when I played with it or without it. You may also be getting experince from just playing optimally. I guess long story short we wont know unless a Dev tells us otherwise.

Also the dailies Grant's 300 bonus xps so provided you get the base 800 XP plus the 300 XP you would get 1100 XP. You would level up regardless by one shard since 800 XP per shard.

    Hello

This is not about the music of DBD but rather the sounds in general. What are you favourite sounds in this game?

For example, my favourite sound is the when the trapper is picking up traps or vaulting through windows. The noise of the leather is really nice somehow.

Also i love the scream of Dwight when he gets hit, the "ahaiijaa" gets me very time. :D

    Kind regards

Huntress stun, Succesful Hatchet, Pig stun, and Pig roar.
