    New Ruin is extremely powerful late game. It must be a Hex Perk, or it would be OP as hell.

    @Almo

    Why do you address Ruin, but not when your mid chase as a survivor or killer after the generators been damaged a survivor can legit tap a gen negating the whole process of the killer damaging it. Usually without penalty or even getting hit.

    In case the killer pushes you off. If they show up at your generator and start chasing you, it's going to regress (and fast). The only way you can prevent that is by cleansing the totem, otherwise you're taking that risk for the whole game. Otherwise if they hook a survivor, you need to choose between getting the unhook and losing progress or finishing the generator.

    Mind explaining why you deal with Ruin, but none of the core issues regarding gens?

    Like survivors gen tapping it mid chase with no penalty or even getting hitting which negates the entire fact a killer kicked it.

    Iridescent Head is very strong if paired with Infantry Belt, but it’s weak on it’s own.

    Black Incense probably the most powerful on it’s own with Mint Rag being a close second.

    Mint Rag plus MYC best camp game ever

  • @CLAUDETTEINABUSH said:

    My opinion, iridescent head is the most op red add-on,1 oneshotting hatchet. But,you can stack it with the belts that give you more hatchets and in the best case you have 3 oneshotting hatchets. Then....I dunno. I could say the oni red add-on that allows all players to see the auras of the orbs,but when a survivor walks into the orb their aura is revealed. I also love the plauges which reveals auras Everytime a survivor pukes🤮🤮🤮🤮.

    What do you guys think? Let me know down below.

    Almost every pink addon is relatively balanced. Some more weak while others more powerful. Example being Iridescent Head by itself can instadown you, but is relatively weak at 1 hatchet. With the belt or loop becomes a lot more powerful. Those 5 hatchets are more powerful then 1 with a good Huntress.

    Myers has the infinite tier 3 while not fun it's definitely balanced as you have to stalk.

    I think Myers double pinks are the most powerful together. Hags mint rag is amazing with MYC.

    I don't know. I think there was a whole thing about people using them on PC. I think having the option to put a crosshair would help new players get into the new killer, but I don't think it should be built in to the base kit.

    Perhaps build a crosshair into an addon like the plaid flannel for nurse and the addon that shows doc where his shock is going to land?

    Needs to be a entity style cross hair or no dice.

    @Peanits said:

    I can't say I'm passionately against it, but as someone who plays a ton of Huntress, it's not really necessary. You start to get a feel for where the center of the screen is after a while.

    Seems a lot of people arguing for it are usually inexperienced Huntress players who are trying to get into it. It might not be the worse idea to add a cross hair addon that's a brown rarity. Can probably change the blindness addons for it.

    The Huntress and The Hillbilly’s kill animations are fine as they are, and with all due respect your suggestions for them seem rather silly.

    The Trapper and The Wraith could use new kill animations though. Although I do have a soft spot for The Trapper’s. It’s kind of iconic.

    I would prefer Huntress to hit them in the chest 2x first then finally in the head. Also more blood.

    I don't bring it up a lot, and what I mean by main might be different than what other people mean.

    I still play 50/50. And I play most killers. I just play trapper more often than the others 🤷‍♂️

    It's fine I play a bunch of killers too mostly Pig, Huntress, and Spirit. I usually just play the side with the quickest time to get into a game.

  • @Alice_pbg said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/968151#Comment_968151

    That's part of what the addon does. But we agree that removing the ability to see the boxes all together would be broken, so it's all good.

    It was the first I could think off. 🤷‍♂️

    Same with you. I do think I have a better base for mine, but until it's tested we can't be sure either way

    Honestly if they were honestly gone if someone just ran Last Will plus Tampered they should get 1 to 3 head pops a game very commonly.

    I used to have them all saved for the time when I learned Pig and everything, but I think this is all I got left now.

  • @kamisen said:

    How do you counter this combo when playing huntress? I'm trying to learn her but for the last 10 games or so, I've been versing efficient SWF teams with OoO. I play in purple/red ranks and have no margins for fuckups.

    In one scenario I try to go after the OoO user. However, they tend to move to safe areas and keep their distance. This means I lose precious time due to her slow base speed. They easily dodge long-range hatchets (I'm not awesome and they are prepared).

    In another sccenario I ignore the OoO user. This results in a very optimal play where generators pop to the left and right. It is evident that they feed their teammates with information on my whereabouts which makes it very hard to gain momentum.

    I'm just looking for a viable tactic to cope with these games as I'm not very strong with huntress (yet). I wan't to stick to my guns as I generally find her gameplay to be very rewarding and fun. The games I've had as of late has not been of the sorts though.

    Iirc Umbra mentioned this in one of her streams that OoO against a Huntress is usually a guaranteed loss due to how strong it is against her.

    @Alice_pbg said:

    As a trapper main, I understand the pain of OoO.

    There's no specific tactic against it. Every team is different. You gotta adapt. But never go all in in one tactic. Try to juggle the OoO with everyone else.

    Maybe that's what he/she meant, but it's not what was said. Unless you're claiming you can read other people's minds, we go by what they actually said, ok?

    Also, I disagree. I think pig would be a lot stronger if rsn2 was base. Or are you saying that tempered timer + crate of gears + rsn2 is weaker than anything else the pig currently has? Every single perk and addon combination she has, is better in rsn2.

    Meant or not that's exactly what that addon does. So unless your just arguing to argue. I'll continue to go with the removal of traps as a RSN2 was base. If there just gone for the sake of being gone. That's unbelievably broken.

    Why are you using crate of gears and TT? Its inferior to TT + JS it was mathematically proven already. I still think base RSN2 would be a nerf. I prefer the option of removing or gen vs the option of being forced to do a gen then get the box.

    Your entitled to your opinion I'm not saying your not allowed it.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/967967#Comment_967967

    What are you talking about? Removing the survivors' ability to see the Jigsaw boxes would be a severe buff, not a nerf. I don't understand most of the thinking in this place.

    Removing them completely yes in fact that's broken, but as RSN2 that's just a nerf.

  • @Alice_pbg said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/967967#Comment_967967

    It's actually op as #########.

    He didn't say "until activated". Imagine having an active trap and not be able to see where the boxes are

    No all he wants is RSN2 at base which is a nerf. Ya it might be OP against some low rank or new players, but overall it's just a nerf not a buff. The choice is what makes an RBT strong. Ya they might do the gen then do the trap or they might waste time as intended and do the trap. The choice is what makes it useful remove that and it hurts in more games then not.

    @CakeDuty said:

    As a Pig main, I think she's fine. The only changes she needs are slight crouch speed increase, addon rework and do something about getting traps off at first box. It feels bad when survivors are lucky enough to find the right box first try.

    I don't understand people thinking she's bad just because they can't do endgame Piggy anymore. I do well with her at red ranks even without Ruin.

    They don't put the time into trying her then suggest changes which are stupid and obnoxiously bad.

    The last free dlc we got was A Lulluby In The Dark. Dunno why they stopped the free original content chapters (Lulluby and Last Breath) but they did. Probably for money reasons tbh

    Would be nice if they did one free orginal DLC a year. That contains a map, killer, survivor, and perks.

  • @ZFennecFox said:

    The only Buff she needs is to remove the Survivors ability to see Jigsaw boxes. It makes the traps more effective rather than a survivor quickly checking each box they see glowing.

    That's literally just a nerf. The only ranks that benefit from that would be low rank killers.

    Once you remove the option of Gen or Boxes then you have effectively just removed the RBT from ever being useful.

    I've been using the event to rank my killer up to a rank I can play at.

  • I use the pallet perk a lot. Got a lot of mileage out of it. It's like DS though some games it's god tier and some games it's useless.

    Also dropping god pallet as a joke to people at the start is hilariously effective at keeping shack pallet up for you later game. I can only imagine the face of the person who watches you do this. When they run away I set it back up.

    But that's what I said. I was talking about getting looped. If you're not on a few select maps you're getting looped more often than not. It's not about winning.

    Mostly I just wanted to clarify it before people mistook it.

  • @gantes said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/963061#Comment_963061

    If you're fed with looping you can play Nurse or Spirit or Hag instead of playing the map lottery with Huntress and having a 50% chance of... getting looped

    Not really map lottery. Huntress has a few shes god tier on, a ton of average maps, and a few bad ones. It's no where near the 50/50 you think. Probably closer to 85/15. Even on the bad ones you can still 4k good groups it's just super annoying and not worth it.

  • @Blueberry said:

    It's completely fair and balanced.

    Alright thanks for the info man. Have a good day.

  • @pemberley said:

    Spawning it when gens still have to be completed by 2 survivors makes it really unfair for 1 of them, because as it stands currently, scaredy cats will hide or hold hostage and force the other survivor to effectively kill themselves to end the match. You know, instead of the last survivors trying to get out alive together.

    It also just feels really cheap as the killer. If I am able to, I would much rather kill the guy not participating than the one actually trying to do the objective.

    I think the hatch should spawn in the same fashion as before with 2 gens done. Other then that EGC should start when the second to last survivor dies and the last survivor have 2 minutes to acquire points or be found. Since the doors would not be active. I hate how the game punishes the Killer for doing well and let's the survivors get another chance despite the failure. I also noticed that ever since the hatch rule change Survivors are getting worse.

    @laurelstroodle said:

    When moris get balanced we can do something about hatch

    When Keys gets balanced we can do something about Mori's. They literally are both used for the same thing which is cutting objectives out. Unlike Keys though a Ivory or Ebony Mori requires the killer to actually hook you doing the objective. A Survivor can literally hide all game and just take hatch with a key and leave. This is how they work at a fundamental level without all the nitpicking of actions.

  • @Rizzo said:

    @Liruliniel as written in the rules, as long as your post doesn't reflect negatively on someone, you can avoid hiding the names, it mostly depends on the context.

    So referring to them as bad and explaining your reasoning would be acceptable provided you dont go X players was bad for X reasons, but the use of X perk by X player while was bad they used it well would be ok?

    Not like this would ever happen since usually I just show a pic when someone says X is impossible or tries to call my bluff and I have time to spare.

    Unless of course you have borrowed time (which, anyone running this perk will if they have anything resembling a brain). Then you can unhook and almost guarantee a safe rescue no matter what.

    I dont use BT with it, but then again I dont go for unsafe unhooks.

    @Waffleyumboy said:

    I hate the fact that my team loses when I run this perk instead of something useful like We'll Make It, Kindred, or Decisive Strike. That's why I feel scummy using it.

    The whole "Megs are useless" thing is partly why I wrote this forum. Because this streamer was playing a Meg, only scouted for the hex totem, didn't attempt to do any gens, complains how the killer could see him and hear Meg's sounds of pain and dcs because he couldn't find the hex totem in time. It's gameplay like that example that makes me wonder if that's what contributes to the whole Meg stereotype.

    Every character has a stereotype with them. Usually from what I can tell most are drawn to a specific character either based on appeal or by a streamer of YT person who got them into it.

    Usually the beginning perks imho seems to develop your playstyle. It may not always remain the same, but I've noticed a lot of people I taught how to play over the years seem to relate to the first 4 perks they used before getting real builds. This includes myself.

    I think there's a difference between name shaming and calling out someone for their actions.

    Fine line, but yes I do agree.

    I just wasnt sure what you really wanted from your post.

    Meg's I know I relatively useless. Never met a good one yet. They tend to be boosted from my personal experince. Pretty sure it wont apply

    I have a friend who mains Meg P3, all perks tier 3, Red rank 1 every season. Yet I still see her urbaning with Self Care not even taking hits for people on last hook when she hasn't been touched once. I think she added spine chill too.

    Big joke among my group is Meg is Irrelevant. Get hatemail from a Meg? Tell them they are Irrelevant because they are a Meg. See how fast they get mad. Claudette's are almost getting there as well seeing less and less good Claudette's.

  • Ya I did so I'm not even sure why you bothered to quote me. You've been doing it a lot lately.

    It's pointless because either he is name shaming a streamer or asking what each survivors general community options of the actions and reputations.

    @Umbrae_pk @ithinkwedidprettygoo Traditionally, sirens aren't actually fish, or sea creatures at all. That's more of a modern interpretation. In ancient Greek art and mythology they were usually depicted as a kind of cross between women and birds, usually having birdlike legs. So how they would walk isn't really an issue.

    Having said that, I'm expecting a less literal interpretation of the term "siren". The word can just be used metaphorically to refer to a woman who lures men to her, usually with sexual appeal, and then betrays their trust. So I don't think the killer will actually be a mythological creature, but rather a woman with that type of theme.

    I stopped after he blamed mixed rank SWF queing based on highest rank being the cause.

    There's more reasons to why the lower ranks are so thin.

    It's harder to depip. When leaving a match you used to lose 2 pips and now you only lose 1. Players did this to get away from the upper ranks for mainly two reasons. For quicker queue times or to have easier matches. SWF with lower rank friends was done for the very same reason. Now lower rank queues are longer and depiping takes longer making it not worth it.

    The rank reset was changed, twice. At rank 1 you would go back to rank 15+1 and it scaled down from there. The lower ranks would become saturated giving better queue times for anyone playing there. If you ranked up too fast, then you would be playing lobby sim. This was changed to rank 1s going to rank 10 and deranking past 16 became impossible. Now ranks only go down one color rank. This concentrates the player base towards the upper ranks. Not lower like before.

    Player population at lower ranks is thinning. The game isn't attracting enough new players to fill the queues.

    That's the reason why low rank queues take so long. It's just the opposite of what it was like for high rank queues before. The player numbers are simply not there to support every rank in the current system.

    Hey man you should watch the whole video. It actually sounds a lot like your post.

1 … 19 20 21 22 23 … 57
