In your opinion, is it better to crawl away from where the killer downed you, or to sit there and recover?
If you see the killer is deliberately slugging, recover.
If the killer downs you, and another survivor is distracting him, crawl away as fast as you can, don't waste time recovering for nothing. Most times this will end up with the killer leaving the other survivor, and losing you. So once you're really far away, behind a rock, recover, and wait for an allie

You can try to avoid the insane loops but sometimes it is not really feasible. Take the suffocation pit god window for example. Typically your best bet on that map against really good survivors is doing a 3 gen on one side of the map.
Boom, you spawn in on the side with the god window. Ruin is on the other side, instantly dies cause it spawned in view of a survivor. Discordance pops off on that side as well, and before you can even walk to that side of the map the gen is basically done because of toolboxes and prove thyself. Chase one survivor off, the other one finishes it. Get your first hook and the first gen is done.
Now your 3 gen is stuck on the god window side, and every survivor in the lobby knows to abuse it. What is your strategy? Just don't chase them on that side of the map ever?
The 3 gens strat us easily counterable, ....unless you play the sniper doc to hold the game hostage for hours....

So by your logic :
Noed should be buffed back into its first iteration : survivors should just not get hit
Legion should be buffed back to their old state with the movement speed increase , with franks mixtape as base kit : just don't get seen as a survivor
Dwight should get set gun that kills the killer when they find him in a locker : just don't check lockers.
-I didn't say noed should be buffed
-Legion doesn't have to get buffed in that way, maybe just allow him to do a TON of pressure and frenzy for maybe like 60 seconds
-...man you're funny

For The killers who you said had trouble, just find someone else unless they’re the last person, then go for it and eventually one of you will make a mistake. Ghostface anyway can just stalk them to 99 and go after someone else. If you’re going to waste that much time on loops you deserve to lose. They all have to go for gens, doors, or the hatch eventually
This is another solution for example.
Even if "infinites" usually are the centre of the map, away from all the gens (or there's just one), people don't want to change target and chase others.
-
@TAG said:
If you are listing Killers that are weak to "infinites", then I would say that is argument enough that these "infinites" are not fine.
What about giving them just a faster vault speed to fix the problem? Like Myers, 1,3 seconds

@Marcus said:
Huntress literally gets (semi)infinited on a dozen of maps ( Wretched Shop, Groaning Storehouse, Torment Creek, Fractured Cowshed, Rancid Abbatoir, Disturbed Ward, Haddonfield, Grim Pantry ), her hatchets are useless when she literally can't get line of sight in these loops.
These loops are usually strong even against the killers you mentioned ( Trapper, Clown, Billy, Spirit ), the only killer who truly doesn't care is Nurse.
Ok, maybe most killers I cited like Trapper, Billy, Myers 3, Doctor, Huntress, Snare Freddy, Clown and Spirit in some situations aren't be able to counter infinites 100% of the times, because some "infinites" are particularly strange, but those still can be fixed
-
Guys holy hack, I go to sleep for 8 hours , and you write 32 new comments lol.
-
@FriendlyGuy said:
Those "long loops" can cost you the game as killer if every survivor uses it. The only ones that can really deny it are Spirit and Nurse. Every other Killer can be hindered in some way by the survivors or is still to slow in what he's doing.
Did you read the counters that a lot of killers, and all the 110% speed killers have?

yes remove all the safe loops and all unsafe loops and bloodlust and instead have mindgameable loops like badham so the game can be actually skill based 100% agree
This must be an actual thing

I run ruin on almost all of my killers. But I find it a wasted perk slot because it gets cleansed fast or it gets found in the early games real fast:(
What should I replace it with?
Ruin is a wasted perk slot against godlike survivors. They always hit great skillchecks

So, based on the results so far, we've got trouble.
Each lobby has 5 players in it.
There are 4 survivors and 1 killer.
1/5 is 20%. So for
M A X I M U M O V E R D R I V E
We'd want the results of 20% killers and 80% survivors.
Instead we got 52.5 Survivors and 47.5 Killers.
This means we only have 66% of the survivors needed and 2.36 times the number of killers needed.
So what this is telling me is that the devs need to make survivor more rewarding and/or interesting. Everything was already saying that already, bit now we have some evidence.
Maybe playing survivor doesn't give a damn bloodpoint?

You can moonwalk and Spine Chill won’t trigger.
@OP I’m also taking Spine chill out of my build, better perks are out there, I guess.
Well spine chill can gain a HUGE advantage against spirit, especially if with prayer beads, nurse, and all killers. You can prevent a lot of chases, hide even before the terror radius.

This is true. Anything that's not considered a basic attack does not gain or lose stacks. It's a silver lining when something like shred or ambush are declassified as basic attacks.
Why not implementing this feature for play with your food?

More ecletic than I expected when I started, but the ones that didn't appear surprised me.
No hag, freddy and pig? But I got 4 clowns?
I'm gonna do this again this season, but with extra data, like if I survived or not, their add-ons and offerings, my perks and character etc.
Gonna be fun
Billy always good and appreciated. And some want to nerf him because the spirit fury-enduring combo is too op

Ironically I did post a video as a reply to YOUR comment which you -unironically- decided to ignore because it didn't show me "lose because I left a chase". Guess you only accept videos as "FACTS" if said video shows what you want to see? Perhaps you're just bad at the game? 🤔
I'm not bad at the game, I've got 1600+ hrs , also thousands, maybe even 2000+ hrs passed on YouTube/Twitch seeing dbd videos. Anyway right now I'll give you the win to this discussion, since I have a social life and discussing here for hours is not always possible.

Imo Adrenaline and Ruin
The current meta "I want to win" builds heavily rely on those 2.
Don't heal Rush gens get adrenaline.
Hope survivors can't find totem/hit greats free bonus time to get kills.
Or just bring a medkit in the match to heal faster and don't make allies waste time, why not.
-
This is freaking cool
-
For survivors I choose Borrowed time. It's such a great perks. Not only for points, but I think that having a perk to prevent the killer to instantly do 1 kill is really god. Combined with DS you can counter every Mori. You hide in a locker and it's done.
As killer it's difficult, but if I had to choose the best build I would choose the enduring spirit fury combo. But, if I had to choose just 1 perk, I would never choose enduring or spirit fury.

Um I’m not defending it at all, I’m stating literal facts
- you can fast vault both sides
- Not including the use of other loops, if the survivor only uses the window, a 115% speed will get bloodlust tier 1 and can get a hit on the 2nd loop
- Literally every 110% speed can use their power to stop the loop, hag, trap it, spirit, phase, huntress, hatchet
how is that biased
Do you know that the amount of distance between you and the killer on that ....."misery" can be MASSIVE? Sometimes you can't even get bloodlust, because you're too far away from the killer

Lol that map has like 1-2 infinites+ rng.
The Myers's house with the window near the basement
Same thing can happen to other 2 houses , with infinites until entity's blockers.
And, as if it wasn't enough, usually 1 big infinite spawns near the main street of the map.

I mean im not tryinf to hate on anything I love this game to the fullest but i feel like the killer being able to close the hatch is a bit to much honestly. Atleast before when killers would camp the hatch you had half a chance to open a door.
Just not to to have 30 minutes hatch standoffs?

The Game is only really useful when using Hex-Perks. Without Hex-Perks it is not a really good Map for Killer, because nearly all Pallets are safe. It is small tho.
For Survivor, the best Maps are Thompsons House and Blood Lodge.
Thompsons House has 3 really safe Pallets around the Main Building and can have insane RNG (like Cow Loop into Jungle Gym into Jungle Gym).
Blood Lodge has a lot of Pallets in the Center, which are really safe since you can see the Killer. Some High Wall Central Structures would fix this tho.
I dont think that Haddonfield is the best Map for Survivors, it is strong with Balanced Landing, but without it, Thompsons House and Blood Lodge are better.
Not strong? Have you ever found those freaking rng infinites?

@BlueFang said:
With the upcoming release of Inner Strength I believe the time has come to look into Decisive Strike working when survivors get into lockers. Because if nothing changes survivors can just hop into a locker in front view of the killer and be essentially invincible, if you leave them they'll heal to full, if you pull them out you'll get stunned
Omg you make me remember all those freaking times, since February, where I was watching a streaming of a killer, where a survivor with DS jumped into the locker, with the the streamer saying "DS. ######### hell" or something like that
-
@MrsGhostface said:
Patrol gens better. I hardly have that issue as a killer.
Yeah, especially as leatherface or clown. 10/10 map pressure 100%

git gud, problem solved
Hahaha. Yeah, just break the pallet

@altruistic said:
Define "strongest." For a Survivor one of the Farm maps most likely. For Killer, probably The Game or Treatment Theatre.
The best map overall is probably Coal Tower IMO.
Really small so it is good for a Killer.
Can have some nice juke spots, so good for Survivor.
Probably the most balanced map in the game.
The game? With like 19-20 pallets each game for sure? XD
-
In my opinion the strongest are Fractured cowshed and mount Ormond. One has a lot of jungle gyms connected to path pallets( kinda god unmindgamable pallets)
And mount Ormond has like an infinite number of jungle gym that I can't even count all of them

@BlueFang said:
One problem Tru3 has is that he never really abandons chases often. Instead he commits and commits and that really costs him most of the time
I can't really judge another player's playstyle if it works and It does in the videos I've seen. But this style of committing even if he's injured the survivor gives the others free reign to do gens. What he should have done if he couldn't down Jeff was hit him and move on to the generators with his weasel, because clearly chasing one dude while all three are working on gens is not a smart move
However there really wasn't anyway he could have won that match. They were hard committed to those generators
I don't see why leaving the chase should be the best option.
Every time killers do that usually lose.
What's the point, especially if I'm using a medkit? So you can begin another chase with a Not- injured survivor that can loop you even more?
-
@Regionlock said:
He heard the first guy rushing a totem.. at that point he should of figured this is possibly a SWF if the guy didnt bother to run. If I had clown, I would of personally checked my dam totem was safe knowing I can't let it go early playing clown, ya know? Especially on that freaking map, but let's continue to blame only gen speed. Let's pretend this was't a group of 4 SWF and that absolutely nothing could of been done to get some kills.
Nobody ever said that
-
@Peanits said:
We've actually done a lot of these before: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/61114/
We tend not to do statistics very often. Even with undeniable statistics, you can only assume so much. There could be any number of variables in each match that affect the outcome, so best case scenario. If you try to account for those variables (e.g. excluding disconnects), you're going to end up skewing the stats.
I would really like more statistics, maybe on the win rate of the maps

In fact, this would be super stupid

@SpEz said:
So a big discussion atm in the dbd community gen speed is it fine or not? I personally think the gen speed isn’t fine and should be increased, I play both survivor and killer rotation and I find survivor very easy as the objective is too easy to accomplish, while playing killer it’s hard as the only killers viable for easy wins are Nurse and spirit but even playing them the gens pop quickly . I played killer before ruin and u had no chance and the devs created ruin to try and stop the term “gen rushing “ but even with Ruin your still screwed like just watch this video from Tru3talent 3 gens in 2 mins WITH ruin :
Like come on this shouldn’t be a thing even with ruin . I would personally completely rework the gen speed and the gens thereself these are some ideas I have to fix the gen problem :
Generator completion time
1 person , 80 seconds increase this to 90 seconds
2 people, 44 seconds increase this to 70 seconds
3 people , 40 seconds increase this to 60 seconds
4 people , 35 seconds increase this to 50 seconds
Great skill checks only provide 3% progression instead of 5%
Failed skill checks now regress the generator by 7.5 % Instead of 5%
Hex Ruin change
Great skill checks grant 0% progression
Good skill checks grant 5% regression
Chances of triggering a skill check increased by 10%
2 people on a gen for only 70 seconds? I mean why the hell should survivors do gens together in this case? Doing them separately would always be the best option.

Have you ever seen a gameplay of truetalent on this map with Billy? He gets rekt. To many pallets
