    i mean...

you can also just look if the discussion says "new" next to it or not, so...

it owuld still be a neat QoL change.

New gets out always when there is a new comment

Okay, that I can definitely get on board for. Your initial post lost me at the "make you mad" part

It's like : make you rage, trigger, etc

I don't understand the question, sorry. Would you mind clarifying a bit?

I think wee need a forum feature that allows the users to see whether they already voted a poll or not

Nothing against hiding. Hiding takes skill when you have to avoid being in the killer's LOS.

But when it is just so dark that you can simply sit down in the open field and the killer still can't see you, this has nothing to do with skill.

Also the old BNP could insta-repair gens (like an insta-heal with one click).

You are right, bust in this case the problem are the invisible claudettes

  • @Awakey said:

@Peanits, we almost have 100 votes. Does this small sample size say anything to the team?

This is why probably they're gonna remove polls, because 50% of the community understood that the game is survivor biased. But I'll keep the screenshots, right for that moment, ready to send them to Marth (Marth88 Gaming, he just changed name)

  • @NoShinyPony said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/739194#Comment_739194

Which is why they got removed.

If you want more of a horror feeling for the survivor side, that's fine. If you want hiding in plain sight to come back, that's not okay.

Hiding is a strategy, btw killers (as an offering) have moris, survivors don't have something to kinda instantly repair a gen.

Even if the game is survivor sided, from the offerings' prospective it is not fair imo

Basically they got tired of updating the lightning just for 1 offering.

It costs too much. You know how dbd works: new updates must be ready as fast as f., don't give a damn about the balancement, and instead put out new cosmetics; and after all this bunch of gross stuff still is the best horror multiplayer game, cuz other games are worse (f13) or aren't enjoyable

  • @NoShinyPony said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/739177#Comment_739177

You want the maps to be darker. Should only the survivors suffer from a worse vision so that it is more "spooky" for them?

Or should it also be darker for the killer, which would make it a lot harder to spot/find survivors?

Well, the old bouquets made it harder to see for both

  • @NoShinyPony said:

Should only the survivors be affected by the weak lighting? Or is this a suggestion to make it harder for the killers to spot the survivors?

    What do you mean?

  • @joshuashep22 said:

Killer have ebony mori's so perhaps survivors can get an ultra rare add-on that gives the survivor a reasonable buff some of ideas would be:

Iridescent vial: a vial full of an unknown and shiny fluid the first attack that would put the survivor into the dying state is ignored

Vigo's wreath: a wreath made out bones and cloth covered in a sticky iridescent sap-like fluid the hatch will open when 2 survivors remain does not stack

    What are your thoughts?

Sadly this is true. Killer have a really strong offering (moris), but survivors don't. I know that the game is already survivor biased, but to be fair there must be a strong offering

  • @Todgeweiht said:

Sadly they wont come back, devs said they want more control over the lightning in their game

More control. From my prospective it shouldn't be a problem. Is it so difficult to change the lightening with a function?

Honest question, there seems to be a concerted push of enthusiasm from people to have him as the next killer and I just don't get it. This is a game about slashers and people running away from them, not some entity of allegedly cosmic evil that hides in the sewers and gets foiled by its own poor self-esteem.

I admit my take on the character is pretty reductionist, but I'm genuinely curious to know where this passion is coming from. What is it about Pennywise that people like so much? Why do they think he would be a good fit for this game?

This is a matter of opinion, so I'm not going to argue with people's reasons for liking him. We're all allowed to like whatever we like, but I'm genuinely having trouble wrapping my head around this one.

    Help me understand.

Because most people just want more killers in the game and don't give a damn about the game's balance. Remember: most are just casuals/fanatics playing the game at rank 15 that don't even know about the gen Rush and all this kind of dirt stuff

Ace in the Hole: Lady Luck always seems to be throwing something good your way. When retrieving an Item from a Chest, there is a 100% chance that an Add-on of Very Rare Rarity or lower will be attached to it. 25/50/50% chance to find a second Add-on of Rare Rarity or below.

Babysitter: While you have a reputation for being self-centred, you risk it all to help those in need.

When you unhook a Survivor, the unhooked Survivor leaves no Scratch Marks, Blood Trail or Grunts of Pain for the next 6/8/10 seconds. Both you and the Killer see each other's Aura for 3/4/5 seconds.

Buckle Up: Unlocks potential in one's Aura-reading ability.

The recovery progress of dying Survivors can be determined by the intensity of their Auras. When you heal a Survivor from the Dying State to Injured, both the healed Survivor and you see the Killer's Aura for a duration of 4/5/6 seconds.

Diversion: Activate-able Perk. Whilst within the Killer's Terror Radius both in and out with as chase for 45 seconds activates Diversion.

§ Once Diversion is activated, press the Active Ability button while crouched and motionless to throw a pebble, which creates a loud noise notification for the Killer within 16/20/24 metres.

§ Diversion deactivates once it has been used.

Distortion: You start the Trial with 3 Tokens. When your Aura would be shown to the Killer, the Perk activates and a Token is consumed. For the next 6/8/10 seconds while the Perk is activated, your Aura, Pools of Blood, Grunts of Pain and Scratch Marks will not be shown to the Killer. Distortion does not activate when you are in the Dying State or affected by Traps

Fixated: When you have a goal in mind, there's no turning back; better to ask forgiveness than permission.

You can always see your own Scratch Marks . You walk 10/15/20 % faster.

Flip Flop: You have an uncanny ability to escape the inevitable.

While in the Dying State, your recovery progression is converted into wiggle progression when you are picked up by the Killer, up to a maximum of 40/45/50% total wiggle progression.

Hope: The growing odds of a successful escape fill you with hope and give you wings.

As soon as the Exit Gates are powered, you gain a 5/6/7% Haste Status Effect for the remainder of the trial.

Mettle of Man: Evil has a way of always finding you.

After you earn 3/2/2 Protection Hit Score Events, Mettle of Man activates.

Once activated, the next occasion that would put you into the Dying State is ignored.

The next time you heal back to full health, your Aura will be revealed to the Killer when you are out with the Killer’s terror radius

§ Mettle of Man will deactivate the next time you are put into the Dying State.

§ Increases your chances of being the Obsession.

§ The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.

No Mither: Your thick blood coagulates practically instantly. At the beginning of the trail you start healthy. Once you become injured you become affected by the Broken Status Effect for the rest of the duration of the Trial.

§ You don't leave pools of Blood.

§ Grunts of pain caused by injuries are reduced by 50/75/100% at any time.

§ Grants the ability to fully recover from the Dying State.

No One Left Behind: It is inconceivable to leave someone behind.

Once the Exit Gates are powered, gain 100% more Bloodpoints for actions in the Altruism Category and perform them 5/10/15% quicker. Gain a post-match bonus for all survivors who escaped the trial.

Pharmacy: You have a knack for finding medicine.

Searches through Chests are 50/75/100% faster and the opening, closing and searching noises they cause along with their hearing distances are reduced by 8 metres.

Pharmacy guarantees an Emergency Med-Kit on your first completed Chest search.

Vigil: You look over your friends even in dire situations.

You and your Allies within 8 metres of range recover from Exhaustion, Haemorrhage, Mangled, Hindered, Exposed, Madness, Broken and Blindness Status Effects 15/20/25% faster.

Once out of range, this effect persists for 15 seconds.

Wake Up!: Unlocks potential in one's Aura-reading ability.

§ Once all Generators are powered, Exit Gates are revealed to you.

§ While opening the Exit Gates, reveal your Aura to all other Survivors.

§ While Wake Up! is active, you open the Exit Gates 15/20/25% faster.

    Feedback would be appreciated.

Suggestion: better to make a thread for each perk. Even thinking about changing all the perks is long, so it's just better to discuss one perk per thread

This poll could be settled very easily though if they'd release statistics. What % of survivors are sacrificed compared to how many survive and what killer/survivor level is this based? What are the updated percentages per killer? Stats like that.

Statistics do not demonstrate anything in this case, mainly because most survivors just play bad and don't rush gens. And even if with the spirit or the nurse you could somehow stop the genrush, there are still tons of killers (legion, bubba, wraith, etc) that must get buffed as fast as #########.

  • @MiniPixels said:

We need this desperately, it is way too strong when you have an entire team on coms that know your location, what your doing, who your chasing at all times. Let me know what you think, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Do you really think that people are gonna remember how the depip squad of marth completely broke the game, even against red Mori nurses? This is not gonna happen. People are basically main survivors, and don't play both. They're never gonna understand how uncompetitive the gen Rush is

People who want a whole nerf: 40

People who want her as she is now : 30

So following democracy I think the nurse definitely must get nerfed

It has been stated you are not meant to lose a pip if they all DC. This is a frequent visual bug so check your pips after exiting the match to see if you lost any not the actual end game screen where it says you did.

Sometimes you can lose a pip to another bug of course.

Ok but if 3 survivors DC during the match and you just kill one of them (maybe 0 cuz of the hatch) this will result in a depip.

4 Gatekeeper, 1 malicious, maybe 1 chaser, and 1 devout. Total = 7, which is <9, so doesn't save the killer's pip if all the ######### say: " oh, you know what, dear another spirit with prayer beads? We're all gonna DC right in your face and go to bully rank 10s"

well, you just listed possible counters right there xD

other than that, if you are working on a gen and you think she might be phasing with prayer beads, gentap. that way she'll hit you instead of pulling you off.

1 You don't know the killer's a spirit 'til you see her.

2 Even if gen tapping was the counter ( which is really bad, since you waste a lot of time), the spirit still gets a free hit

  • @Tarvesh said:

You're tryign to say a build that is reliant on extremely rare addons (so not spammable and a rarity even having a chance of running into it) is OP?

Maybe if it were a constant reliable build. But no.

So those who are trying to say that 4 red instaheals are op are wrong because they are extra rare, right?

  • @Mister_xD said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/732824#Comment_732824

thats where you are wrong though.

    ultra rare = game changer.

that comes hand in hand with OP. just look at Trappers bloody coil + iridescent stone combo: it makes beartraps really, really strong. you cant disarm them, since you'd just injure yourself and they would reset automatically anyway, which basically makes them untouchable for you.

very rare should just be a buff to the base power, so prayer beads bracklet, which comepletely changes the way the character plays, should be ultra rare instead, as it provides a lot more than just a buff.

Ok, but there's a chance to avoid them.

Prayer beads....are uncounterable, unless you use spine chill or premonition.

I have enough skeleton keys and mori's and other ultra rare offerings for almost all killers and Dwight that I could play over 100 matches and the amount I lost still wouldn't matter. That said, who cares? Some things in games are meant to be unbalanced. It's called the Meta. Get used to it dude. It's staying.

Oh come on, there's still a chance that Devs will understand that these things are not funny. At all

  • @FireHazard said:

Well, like how Omega Blinks are being changed, Prayer Beads could be the next thing to go.

    I really hope so

  • @Mister_xD said:

honestly, change prayer beads into an ultra rare and degrade on of the others (maybe the ring?) to very rare and it'd be fine imo.

but yeah, its too strong for a very rare add on.

This is what people don't understand. Ultra rare doesn't mean it's allowed to be overpowered. Same thing with keys and Red Syringes. They're NOT IN EVERY MATCH. But those damn times where they bring 2/3 of them you ask yourself: " Ehm....hello? Balance? Gen rush? "Get out of jail" free items?

  • @FireHazard said:

I think during every games life, something will be considered the most OP Build eventually...

This just so happens to be that build for DBD. That, or Omega blink nurse.

The problem is that OMEGAblinks and Prayer Beads can be found very quickly at prestige level 50 :/.

  • @Kilmeran said:

@Leonardo1ita Expecting everything to be fair in a game like DbD, three-plus years into its lifespan, is a fallacy.

Every three months they add in a new killer and survivor. That means new sets of add-ons and new perks. With the Perk system allowing Perks to be unlocked across the board and placed into a single Killer, unlike the add-ons which are Killer specific.

At this point, there are inevitably going to be underpowered builds, normal builds, and overpowered builds, and it is simply an impossible task to tweak in such a way that underpowered and overpowered builds become impossible.

This is what happens when you implement a system like DbD uses, and then expand on it four times a year for going on four years: It eventually starts to get crushed under its own weight.

They just need to rework or remove this add on, everything else can be balanced

Not really. We're talking about an online game here. There is always going to be latency no matter what you do. Data takes time to physically get from one person's computer to the other.

You could maybe split the difference and have the checks done on the server to make it feel more fair, but you cannot possibly prevent latency as a whole.
