There is tons of game breaking bugs, mostly brought on by dedicated servers, right now the whole game is unplayable on xbox because the devs updated the game and ######### the FPS. The sound bugs may not be technically game breaking but they will often ######### you up big time in chases and lose you the match where you have to be very efficient with chases so it's very unfun when it happens and it happens a whole lot.

sound bugs are game breaking, more than sfx bugs

  • terrible terrible idea. Basically during the whole match there is no exciting mindgame for both sides, if not just breaking the line of site.

As a build is just not strong for myers, because he's 9% slower ( 4,19 m/s tier 2 and 3, slower than 4,4 killers as hag), he must stalk 200% MORE for tier 3, which is following the wiki 5 + 5 ( tier 2 and 3 normal) + 10 points for judith tombstone + 10 for the infinite tier 3 = 30 points. Each survivor has 10.1 charges, so you're gonna have to fully stalk 3 survivors. While no chance of coming back, you're perma 4,19 m/s for all the match, most of the time tier 2, while good survivors rush gens very fast.

If you somehow get tier 3, survivors can:

1 Jump in a locker, and you can't do anything to mori them.

2 Force you to down them, doing any action that can't make you kill them like vaulting a pallet or vaulting a window

3 LOOP YOU TO OBLIVION, so you must ABSOLUTELY use play with your food 3 stack, which brings you to 4.88 m/s i think following the wiki advices, so much more viable, but not really since you're gonna waste AGES to stalk against good survivors

So on top of the no sound, which IS GAME BREAKING.

Ive lost 450k bloodpoints from shrine of secrets.

Ive been hooked by Wraith and then for the rest of the game had his point of view while my survivor was stuck on hook never dying and unable to be rescued.

Ive been stuck inside a pallet as killer for entire games, multiple times.

Ive been unable to heal teammates at all.

    Shoupd I go on

well why not? Maybe you'll change my mind even more

    • Decisive Strike rarely doesn't stun
    • You rubber band back from an RNG Doc scream when in the middle of vaulting
    • Demogorgon still has a lunge bug for over 6 months
    • Characters that can "instant" break pallets (LF, Billy, Demo, Oni), sometimes just... stand still even though they should do the animation to break the pallet (a charging Billy and LF will just immediately stop chainsawing, Demo will bounce off the pallet, Oni will bounce off the pallet)
    • Nurse still has a lunge bug for over 6 months
    • Nurse Double stun
    • Nurse Triple stun
    • Nurse losing an entire blink
    • Nurse losing ALL of her blinks
    • Nurse being unable to blink through various things
    • Nurse sounding like a vacuum cleaner
    • Nurse's power bar rubberbanding, costing her a blink
    • Nurse herself rubberbanding when blinking
    • Nurse being pulled through areas like into the basement in some maps despite her not aiming her blink there
    • Nurse's 3-blink add-on literally doesn't function properly and very often causes you to blink in place even in wide open areas with no obstructions
    • Plague still has a lunge bug for over 6 months
    • Plague's power sometimes doesn't work, causing survivors to NOT be sick when interacting with infected objects, or when she directly pukes on them
    • Survivors run through Clown's gas with no slowdown
    • Sometimes survivors do not scream when entering the gas
    • Sometimes the bottles do not explode at all
    • Sometimes the bottles explode in a completely different place than where the player threw them
    • Sometimes the bottles explode immediately in Clown's face when thrown
    • Myers still has a lunge bug for over 6 months
    • Myers rubberbanding power, entering tier 3, then going back to tier 2, has been happening since dedicated servers
    • Myers downing a healthy survivor in tier 3, only for the survivor to somehow "resurrect" by themselves into injured state
    • Myers unable to stalk survivors in the open
    • Myers able to stalk survivors through walls
    • Ghostface unable to be detected out in the open
    • Ghostface able to be detected when not in the open
    • Ghostface unable to stalk survivors in the open
    • Ghostface able to stalk survivors through walls
    • Survivors HUD disappearing.
    • Invisible skill check
    • Noises have been broke for years
    • Bug that causes survivors to permanently be stuck in a "being healed" state indefinitely until they disconnect. This bug has existed since 2016
    • Dedicated servers booting players out of matches
    • "Item tech"
    • Survivors being invulnerable after being able to control their character when being unhooked
    • Instances of Borrowed Time not working despite being in the killer's Terror Radius
    • Wraith being cloaked, despite being uncloaked on the killer's side
    • Pig being shown as crouched on the survivor's side, despite being standing on the killer's side
    • The "crossplay" exploit that can be done if someone has your account ID, being able to decide which server you play on (remember when Switch survivors were going up against Freddy, which should technically be impossible on the Switch?)
    • Cheating exploits that have been going on (escaping through gates with 5 gens left)
    • Billy's FOV is bugged, which causes his chainsaw to hit further than intended
    • Hag's blind spot with flash lights is still inaccurate, making it incredibly difficult to blind her
    • Stretched resolution providing significant advantages to both roles (makes killers nearly impossible to blind with flashlights, for example)
    • Windows that cannot be vaulted through
    • Generators that cannot be kicked on some sides (or sometimes not at all)
    • Players getting stuck inside generators
    • Players getting stuck inside pallets
    • Hex totems showing up as dull totems
    • Sole Survivor is still bugged over 6 months later
    • Iron Will silences breathing as well as grunts of pain instead of just grunts of pain
    • Various, various sound bugs which are still not remedied over the years, so many that they could honestly be their own separate list
    • Black and White Wards may still not keep items after a match/when the survivor dies, even after years of it being like this
    • Survivor movement bug when being unhooked
    • Falling through basement bug still happens (rarely)
    • Various broken map elements (incrediby visible seams, phasing somewhat through the floor, various leaks in geometry, fat shaming spots, etc)
    • Um.. this

    • EGC timer being inaccurate
    • EGC timer not slowing down despite there being a downed/hooked survivor
    • EGC timer not going to normal despite there not being a downed/hooked survivor
    • Billy false chainsaw hits
    • MoM stacks counting for Deathslinger's gunshot being pulled out of a survivor if it applies deep wounds to them
    • Entity Blockers sometimes not showing up even if a survivor vaults a window 3 times in a chase
    • Survivors getting "stuck" when downed by being underneath another unhooked survivor
    • Killers able to be blinded from flashlights outside of their field of view.
    • Trapper can pick up a trap when a survivor steps in it, keeping them trapped indefinitely unless he places the trap back down under their feet. This bug has existed for years and is still not fixed.
    • Traps being placed inside level geometry, making them either invisible or next to invisible as they get placed "inside" something
    • Being able to hear Spirit's phasing despite being inside of her terror radius (no beads)
    • Bug where survivors cannot interact with another survivor (such as healing them)
    • Bug where the survivor is forced to stop healing another survivor (very common after just unhooking them), this can happen multiple times, costing valuable seconds and is very common
    • Sometimes Balanced Landing will not proc despite falling a great distance and getting stagger
    • Sometimes going down stairs can cause the survivor to "fly" just briefly, causing them to fall and stagger, costing them a lot of valuable distance
    • Until just very recently, the Oni power bug was a thing and was game cripplingly bad for them
    • Survivors getting stuck inside lockers when trying to leave them, forcing a disconnect
    • People getting DC penalties when the match fails to update even at the conclusion of the match
    • Various lighting bugs in low quality (such as Haddonfield/Badham)
    • Survivors can phase through a wall in Grim Pantry.
    • Using Dead Hard and being exhausted on the floor
    • Bugged parties when playing SWF
    • Double killer bug
    • 5 survivors bug
    • Infinite sloppy butcher bleeding bug recently resurfaced

    • Various optimization bugs causing hitching, stuttering
    • Dying on struggle phase, despite struggling

Whispers is pretty meta on higher level players. It's not quite BBQ or Pop meta but it still sees a lot of play. I do agree though in just hiding through corrupt depending on the killer. If no one gets caught in the two minutes it becomes a wasted perk. It is rather boring though.

That said it's not only Doctor but Hag and Trapper as well. You don't want to give them extra time to set up. Somewhat with Demo as well but it's not as major with him.

Overrated meta, especially when someone is hooked and can't tell whether it's him or someone else

Not if the killer has Whispers or you're facing the Doctor. And if any killer happens to find just one of you and they have infectious fright, than you can kiss your hiding spots goodbye

well these are just exceptions. Doctor is not competitive at all (no map pressure, just an ability to end chases fast, and not on all pallets), neither whispers is ( I'm sorry oh tofu's fans, but you need to stop gens, and whispers most times is just a waste)

  • @Heartbound said:

This is some pretty sound advice. Don't try to go for the unblocked gens either. It's a trick to get you into a chase with the killer. Stay off the gens for as long as you can!

exactly, no reason not to do so. If not 3 genning yourself really easily

    Old Feral Frenzy:

    -5.28 m/s movement speed

    -6 second duration

    -Vaults pallets without breaking them

-3 second fatigue no matter what

    -15 second cooldown

    -Takes 4 hits to down

    -Legion was 110

    New Bubba:

    -5.29 m/s max movement speed

-2 second dash per charge, 6 seconds total

-Instantly shreds dropped pallets on contact

-Only incurs a lengthy fatigue if you bump into something

-4 second cooldown per charge, 12 seconds total

    -Always instadowns

    -Bubba is 115

With the exception of actually having to rev it, Bubba's new saw is literally just an all-around better version of old Feral Frenzy. You know, the thing that broke the game so hard that they had to gut the Killer as damage control?

And before anyone tries to tell me, "But Bubba can't fast vault windows so he's balanced!" There's this crazy little thing called Bamboozle that prevents the Survivors from using the window entirely. I suggest you try it.

Seriously, when at a loop against a Bubba with Bamboozle, you have two options: Go down, or let him chainsaw the pallet and then go down. It's absolutely insane. He is old Legion on steroids and I don't understand how people don't realize this.

well bubba can't snowball down, so

Nurses entire existence right now is a bug filled mess. Just ask anyone who plays Nurse.

I've followed Marth for a really really really long time. I know there are some unblinkable areas, problems with blinking out of the basement, objects you couldn't blink through, etc. But right now, WHERE DBD IS RIGHT NOW, NOT IN 2018, most of these problems are gone. Yeah maybe you can say that hawkings and the game have still big stuff to solve which I am not aware of, but I don't think this is the case

  • Which bug? that of the blink sound? that isn't game changing

  • I EXPLAIN THIS ONE LAST TIME:

YES, YOU CAN ACTIVATE THE TRAP AND WAIT. SO THE HAG TELEPORTS, HITS YOU, AND 1 YOU JUST EXCHANGE WITH THE BUDDY ON THE HOOK OR 2 JUST GO AWAY INJURED AND SHE PUTS HER TRAP AGAIN

  • @pseudechis said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1453692#Comment_1453692

That's wasn't one of my suggestions. Crouch, flashlight, coordinated run through, a dash of caution and lateral thinking. The last being hardest to come by.

Crouch: mint rag lets you teleport everywhere at any time, even if the trap is not activated

flashlight: ok, that's the counter? A counter can't be an item, because if you don't have it or can't find it in a chest you're literally screwed.

No coordinated run through, you just wait for the rescue animation to complete fully and you teleport. instant down for the rescuer with make your choice

    I mean game changing bugs

  • @Hoodied said:

Let me name some that I have encountered through my lifetime of DBD, not just the recent patch but since 2017 hallows eve (Thats when I started)

    -DS not stunning

    -Endgame collapse timer being incorrect

    -No Hud

-Legion being unable to vault some windows

-survivors being unable to vault some windows

-Flashlights having wrong angles (not blinding properly)

-here is an oldie, flashlights not needing to aim at the killers face, but chest

    -Getting stuck in pallets

    -getting stuck in vaults

    -Literally grabs still

-old sole survivor literally not working

-Nurse not being able to blink through some walls

    -Nurse losing an entire blink

    -Just Nurse in general

Some of these have been fixed, while Nurse has not been fixed

Games buggy but its the understandable buggy

that's true, a lot of those bugs i faced them myself, but right now are pretty much gone

They Nerfed him when he was originally released. Not sure what the complaint was he was pretty bad but people review bombed the game.

Oh ok, this is real XD

  • @Deadeye said:

The micro lags come into play like every game if you have it and can make you swing at the air like once or twice a game. That is not game changing in every game but surely can be if you have it twice per match in the wrong situations. And I call it game changing if it steals you a kill, not just when it switches a 4k into a 0k.

Same on survivor side btw when it messes up your timing at pallets/windows, especially against insta down killers.

Would also like to know from nurses how bad the bugs are. Sound bugs on killer side definitely can be game changing as well. Hard to tell how often they occur though, as you simply miss the survivors in most cases that you should find by grunts of pain

those are not bugs, just connection issues

  • @Thiccsty9 said:

In 3/5 games today I had a bug that wouldn't let me finish healing my teammate to full... Sooo like yeah it's still prettyyyy buggy imo

No, never, not in a million years.

OH YEAH BABY. the death of ds is somewhat the beginning of the end of an era of total game unbalancement

    FOR FIVE MINUTES

Jesus yall. When will you realize that everything wrong with this game is us?

Do you know what happens when a competitve dbd squad faces a killer which isn't the nurse? No? well, that killer gets completely annihilated. No chance to get over the gen rush, even the spirit, because there simply isn't, against spirit just running in a straight line gives you enough time to gen rush all the gens, and if she camps you just win and she just gets 1 kill and the other 3 escape, back to the drawing board.

  • @SailedSavage said:

Holy crap dude. If you are downed and waiting to be healed up while others chase the killer around don't crawl UNDER pallets. Be on one side or the other. If someone needs to use the pallet they go to heal you instead OR the pallet gets dropped while they are trying to heal you and brings the killer back. For the love of my sanity guys please 😂

Since this post is just misinformative, as a player with 1600 hrs I recognise peanits completely blasted you ,could you please remove it?

  • Old Freddy nerfed? Really? What was his power? Just putting everyone in the dream world hoping that survivors didn't wake up with every skillcheck possible? ( gen, heal or even self care?)

Now new Freddy has somewhat ability to teleport through the map, which is not like a billy, but still something and a chasing ability which allows you to finally do a lot of mindgames during chases, making him now a really strong killer.

    How is that a nerf?

  • @Almo said:

The Locker mechanic would suck, because most of the killers would just slug the person on the ground

Why not stopping ds from being active if the killer ends another chase really fast? So if the killer chases another survivor, and the one just unhooked gets downed immediately for using the flashlight or whatever reason ds deactivates. And maybe to punish even more the anti tunneling purpose of the perk if the killer gets dsed the stun is 6 seconds long, instead of 4.

  • @pseudechis said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/663516#Comment_663516

So basiacally if we choose to discount any suggested counters then there are no counters. Can't fight that logic.

the counter can't be something like use borrowed time, because perks are not supposed to be essential, it wouldn't be fair

  • Holy crap tons of votes! Thank you guys

  • @magicmaster2020 said:

    You could always just slug

And waste 1 minute if the match for the survivor hiding in the locked, then open the locker, grab, hook and walk to the next gen

  • @Seiko300 said:

It is far too strong in its current state, the reason this is is because it is no longer being used for it's original purpose: as an anti-tunneling tool, instead it is now most commonly used as an aggressive tool capable making extremely aggressively plays or allowing you to make extremely stupid mistakes and either way the killer cannot punish you for it.

There answer to this problem is honestly quite simple however, we don't need to nerf DS in that we don't need to nerf it's actual effect. Tunneling sucks, and a tool that helps survivors counter it is great. What isn't great is when that tool is abused as a "hey, look at me! I've got invincibility for 60 seconds!!"

The answer is simple: deactivate Decisive Strike when any of the following conditions are met:

-A survivor begins repairing a generator or cleansing a totem

-A survivor jumps into a locker

-A survivor exceeds a distance of 48 meters from the killer.

    The logic behind this:

-If you are in a dangerous position shortly after being unhooked and the killer is still nearby you should not be repairing a generator. Repairing a generator means that you feel safe enough to stay still making noise (repairing a generator / totem clenase). If you feel safe enough then there is no reason DS should still be active.

-In Dead By Daylight the survivors should never feel completely safe, the killer should always be a potential threat at all times. The locker trick violates this concept with complete disregard, survivors feel 100% safe just because the hopped into the confines of a red box. Were I an actual killer, I would stab you in the throat then and there for being so stupid. Lockers are not get-out-of-jail-free cards, there has always been some risk to jumping in a locker: you're out of sight but you could still make noise on the way in or even while you're inside when injured. This trick flagrantly spits in the face of killers

-If you are at a distance greater than 48 meters from the killer himself, you. are. not. being. tunneled. You have clearly already escaped and the perk has served its purpose. You should not be able to run all the way to the other end of the map, and then run back only to play extremely aggressively because you've still got time left on the DS timer. That is BS and that clearly goes above and beyond just saving you from being tunneled, again, using the perk in a way you're not meant to.

People will say: "ThAt DoEsN't MaKe SeNsE!? If U dIdN't WaNt To GeT HiT bY Ds YoU sHoUlDn'T hAve TuNneLed?? ObVioUslY. JuSt ChAsE sOmEoNe ElSe" I hardly believe it's tunneling if 1. the survivor runs up in your face after being unhooked because they know they have the ultima defense of DS and then hops into a locker right in front of me or 2. if they feel safe enough to cleanse my hex: totem, repair a generator right in my face, disregarding my presence as the godd*mn killer looming right behind them as if I didn't exist and I were no more than a plushie toy.

As well, sometimes there literally isn't anyone else to chase I don't see that I should be forced to find the immersed P3 blendette that's been rescuing everybody but the guy running DS decides to not make any effort to walk or crouch or be stealthy at all and just runs around everywhere leaving Scratch marks. DS protects survivors who are clearly making stupid decisions on purpose, not because they're actually stupid but because they don't need to put in that kind of effort to escape when they've already got "invincibility for 60 seconds"

The great thing about these changes, is they don't change Decisive Strike. If you are genuinely being tunneled off the hook, you're running jungle gyms, you're dropping pallets, and the killer downs you right away anyway, guess what, you've still got the perk active.

This is a really well argumented comment

  • @myersismydaddy said:

The FOV is stuck in the past anyway. People usually think that stretched resolution is cheating. I don't see it that way. Stretched resolution literally makes the FOV 10 times better than it is. One could argue, that it gives advantage at loops. But, if they fixed the FOV a bit, and lock it in, so new stretches wouldn't do a damn thing, then they could also add a few extra crates or whatever to certain loops, so everyone would be playing at a fair level, but with a modern FOV.

    Agree.

At the minute I'm escaping pretty much every game. If I die I'm generally the only one. If I played solo I'd probably die a lot more but when your playing with others who also know how to play this game then you should escape quite easily.

The nerfs were actually really needed to help killers at higher ranks against survivors who have 1000+ hours. The only balance the game needs right now is to nerf moris and keys.

The best change the devs made to help survivors was to nerf ruin. This helped lower ranks massively.

ruin was the only thing that held skill pressure into the game. now the skill gap is becoming more and more small for survivors

  • @KillerKiryu47 said:

When is this going to stop? Killer is already laughably easy to play and survivors keep getting nerfed EVERY single patch. Survivor hasn't been fun to play for a long time now end they just make it even worse for them. Every single match as survivor now is always a worry of who's gonna get face camped or how ridiculous killer range is. But i want to hear from everyone else on what you think, do you think this is becoming too much? Or do you still somehow think "sUrViVoRs oP pLs NeRf"

Just get good and stop crying. Killers will always be the part gen rushed as fast as possible by survive with friends. Posting some screenshot about how you killed some noobs at rank 1 won't prove killers are OP

I feel like it's too soon to say if people are really coming back for balance changes because they actually want balance. If they came back for balance, then I assume they'd stay longer, but who knows. Maybe they don't like it and the player base declines again. I've always assumed the reason people come back is to have fun with a change. Like for Doctor. My friends personally didn't care about Doctor and actually still don't. They came back not because they thought, "Oh, wow. A balance Doc finally deserved." They came back, because they thought his rework would be cool, but found out Doctor changed only a tad in a survivor's POV. When Freddy got reworked, they actually were around for a tad, but left because of Forever Freddy. It all really depends. A graph can only say so much. I think if the player base remained high, then that says something was done right, I guess?

Yeah, it's too early, but the video is a general prediction

I honestly wonder where all that money goes with the amount of bugs, lag, awful servers, this game has.

Yeah, Devs care only about money now. This game is MORALLY dead, with developers not even knowing what the gold toolbox is ( I would have never expected this from you @not_Queen , after all these years in the game).

Now the road maps aren't even done anymore, so no more care about the game balance now :(

I just leave this game behind me after 1600 hrs + 1500/2000+ watching YouTubers, twitchers and content creators, and move to another game, called Rainbow six siege, where developers actually care about the game.

On dbd I saw cheaters rarely, like 1 or 2 times in all my hours. Just a lot of lag switchers, never cheaters.

Cheaters don't even try to hack or crack this game because it is so bad itself that they go to other big games

  • The live version has the chase theme that's super cool. The ptb has a better "in terror radius" theme

Just talked to the Devs, they will increase the number of Gens just because of your Thread.

    Welcome back <3

    I'd pay those money

  • You main survivors never surrender. Nearly 4 years bullying killers gen rushing and pallet looping when it's not nurse.

Survivors can go perkless and still win. We shouldnt have to use specific killers to stand a chance.

Perk less and 4k even. For this the Marth depip squad tests are still valid

  • People will never understand that the real problems are gens. Survivors repair solo, so this gen nerf is useless. Even closing infinites won't solve the gen speed problem. It will help, but it's not the solution.
