    Slugging, yeah.

But when you slug everyone in the early game and then go away to let them bleed out, that's different. Because your intend is to bar them from regular gameplay while you also refuse to engage in it.

If you were to slug people in early game, THEN hook them regular (as in, don't wait for one to die and then hook the next) and one of them gets off the hook, that'd be regular albeit really gnasty playing.

I do that, unless somehow they are so good I literally don't find anybody

  • @RbLen said:

Ugh no. These are the kind of situations where you are really happy the dc penalty is gone.

Actually I am not. Survivors just DC and don't care anymore about their teammates. Btw while in the dying state you have 4 full minutes before you bleed out, it's perfectly counterable, and it's one of those strategies you must apply to try to win.

Could care less about your opinion. I'm making more BP.

What you are doing does not require skill.

Maybe it does for you, but for many other killers who know how to take control of the match and draw it out enough to earn substantially more BP, it's not (We also have no problem getting 4K most of the time either).

You're free to tryhard for mediocrity all you want.

All killers that aren't nurse or spirit can't easily control the map, because of how fast the gen rush is and how weak their killer chase ability is. You need something to make pressure on the map, and all other killers that aren't spirit or nurse simply get rushed, survivors can just hold W and go across the map and you lose everything, you need to do something

It's a meme build but in short depending on the gen cruel limits will create funnel points and you use butter murmur to see which point to strike with your. Chainsaw

Territorial because no one's touching the chest

Oh ok, now I understand. Actually you should try to protect gens, not hope they pop for a perk to activate

B-But but I'm a killer main, and I want to post edgy stuff.

No, he just wants to share some tactics people don't use just because people told them they are not fun for the survivors

  • @MeltingPenguins said:

And that, my friend, actually constitutes as 'refusing to engage in regular gameplay'.

You can use any Killer for this and works a lot. Knock Out and 3rd Seal makes things so much harder, even for a SWF. For Solos this is near impossible to beat.

Oh you said the third seal, alright, I am completely blind. Btw there are a lot of slug strats you could try, a lot with hex totems as well, but don't do them with like bubba for example, it doesn't work you're just a basic m1 killer

  • @bendermac said:

Knock Out Sloppy Deer Stalker Nurses or 7th Seal or Bloodhound

Don't hook a single one. Just smack them down until all 4 are on the ground. Then let them bleed out

    So satisfying 🤣

You gotta play with a killer like nurse or spirit, otherwise they're just gonna use unbreakable and cya forever. You gotta know when to slug, and how to do it, but yeah, that tactic works a lot. There is no need to let them bleed out, at that point you're just being sadic, not trying to win. Pls hook them all to please the entity and close the match faster, no point to let them bleed out. Less points for you and less for them.

Edit: wow, did you copy my title with red faces XD?

  • @Spirez said:

OP is just posting his meme build for bubba. If it turns out to work well for him and wants to share it then cool. He’s not ruining anyone’s day for playing the killer role like a killer. I don’t understand all the hate.

Because for some people dbd is not just passion, even for me, a reason to live, and there's nothing wrong with it. A game being so important you spend a good amount of time on it.

I'm not playing toxic I'm just using a difficult strategy to counter. If i really wanted to play toxic next time I'll just insidious facecamp the first I find and everybody gets 1 hooked and gg

I think the only thing that makes me salty about Bubba (from a Survivor PoV) is the fact that a majority (not all) strictly use his power to get downs and kills..

I'm sure having that 1 shot potential is awesome (I don't own Bubba yet) but having a Bubba constantly relying on a free moving 1 tap is annoying..

It's already hard enough trying to get away from killers, now I have to worry about getting 1 tapped just because someone can't basic properly?

Anywho, on topic, when I encounter a "Bubbas Basement" strategist, my simple answer is: "Dont go into the f**king basement"

"What if your team gets caught and hooked there?" Well, shouldn't have gotten caught.. Imma do this gen and get the rest of us outta here..

"What if you get caught and hooked?" Easiest decision to DC of my life.. I'm never getting off the hook with a 1 tap killer so close to the hook.. I'd much rather DC and find another game than sit on a hook, wasting both my and my teams time..

The best strat is pressuring gens, not making me down you straight up the basement. Making mindgames with the chainsaw at windows requires a lot of skill, trust me. Btw what are you talking about? there are billions of ways to counter the chainsaw

I have read every reply in this post, my opinion doesn't change. There's a difference between "huh look at this strategy it has worked nicely for me" and "hehe let's make survivors rage quit lol 😈".

You can't make survivors rage quit as somebody specified, the CHOOSE leave the match

  • @TheVVitch said:

I'd much rather face off against an insidious basement bubba because at least he's a meme.

Any Agitation/Iron Grasp basement build is just torture to go against. It's just not fun or engaging to play against nor does it take the slightest bit of skill on the killer's part.

When I play this game, I get satisfaction out of knowing I bested my opponent either by escaping/4k in close matches or having exciting chases . Forcing the basement breaks the game in the sense that it removes the skill from all aspects of a match. What a player finds fun is subjective, but if you're deriving your fun from straight up ruining the game for others, that's a weird flex for sure.

This tactic is counterable, just learn how do do it and you will feel rewarded

  • @Pryzm said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1531273#Comment_1531273

Isolation is a tactic used by many. I main Trapper and also run Hag. Trapper is all about isolating areas of the map. I set up for chases in an area with relatively good access to 4 or 5 gens and trap the hell out of it.

The focus is not on a hook camp or a basement camp though. My problem with camping as the overall strategy is that it is weak, lazy, and unimaginative. Camping is a tool to use at key times. Got one hooked with one slugged and 2 injured. The slug and hook are literally dead center of 4 gens I can monitor within 3 seconds of each other. I can pressure gens and ebb away the life of 2 survivors by staying in that area or run off to the isolated gen in the back. Nope, time to proxy camp.

I see those who set up to camp as 1 of 3 types. We are talking those who intend to camp from the first hook on.

    1. Toxic jerks who just want to annoy people

    2. Seriously low skilled players who just don't get it

    3. Lazy players who just want to scrape ez bp together.

I will Caveat that by saying there are some key basement builds for several killers, but most require set up and some level of skill to get it going. Most are not designed as camping builds though.

I can assure you this basement patrol 3 gen setup is really good, but is really punishing if you don't play it correctly

  • @Artemis_LH said:

Bet this guy has never earned 50K+ BP in a single match of his life.

What a boring ass play style.

Literally requires no skill and furthers the stigma of us killers being entitled and whining babies.

Such a playstyle will never allow him to get any better at the game. Instead, he will continue to play for a cheap 4K and very little BP. He either NEEDS to feel mighty by getting a cheap 4K or simply takes himself too seriously to ever adopt a new playstyle which could reward more BP.

Hell, he'll probably even just make excuses about 'being abused by survivors'/ other BS excuses.

Anything to defend not being able to take a skilled approach.

I want to win, don't want bloodpoints. Fun is relative, btw survivors have a lot of chances to bait me into nothing. It requires skill, you still have to chase a lot and btw it's still a win against 4 sweats, so.

  • @Pryzm said:

First of all, this is a long run strategy by Bubba mains for as long as he's been in the game. Nothing original or new. Protect immediate guns near the basement, run either TI or DH mixed with IG, Agi, and Ruin/NOED. You created nothing new. It is one of the many shithead play styles that pushed me into being a killer main around 3 years ago.

It does not work vs good players. You can claim it does, but smart players will run you long enough to Crack that 2-3 gen security field near the basement and then blast gens far apart. Forces Bubba to have to travel the map and lose pressure.

You also leave out skilled loopers who are more than capable of buying enough time.

Your setup works vs lower skilled players. Ruin is doing nothing for you. You are not doing anything beyond a toxic play style and taking pleasure in annoying others.

Can't wait for school to start again and occupy some of your time.

Maybe you are right, but once the build is a bit modified, maybe pop, infectious, and less basement heavy maybe it's really possible to isolate survivors in just 1 area of the map

  • @herrik666 said:

You hurt my little Bubba Main heart. Why would you play like that when zooming through loops like a madman is to damn fun... The devs made sure than now he is a force to be reckoned with and he's now got so much to him. Its sad to see players still revolving into this strategy when his kit became so much more versatile and strong, especially with addons.

I could do the same strategy but not relying on basement, right...

  • @ImagineUcareForPips said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/181444/bubbas-basement-makes-survivors-salty

Aside from wanting people to Rage Quit, it seems a valid tactic. For the record, you can't MAKE people Rage Quit. They decide that themselves. I play every game to the bitter end because that is what a good sport does. Your intent and their reaction tells us about your (and their) character. I've rarely been so lucky to have three Gens in perfect patrol range from my Basement. Half the time I don't even start near my Basement and have to find it just like everyone else. By that time, those Generators closest have usually been touched.

But, I agree that if I have the right setup from the start, this is an absolutely sound strategy of Three-Gen'ing the Survivors and adding a vicious basement on top.

EXACLTY, SOMEONE WITH A BRAIN. <3

  • @Saitamfed said:

Not trying to brag but, with the old Bubba I got the 2 achievements before his rework. He is way better now, I am not saying you will 4K constantly but, you can improve and have many fun games with new bubba

Yeah, but you can't play the fun way where you waste ages chasing survivors, hook and go away. You must have at least a STRATEGY. I'm trying to find one better than this, and I think it will still be a 3 gen strat

Hey man territoral imperitive bubba is my idea and the idea is too use the power of 2nd amendment against the surrvivors, since if you slap them with real law and rights.. Made up law can't be used as an excuse.

It's actually territorial imperitve cruel limits bitter murmur and a flex perk of ususallly discordance or tinkerer.

The idea is if anyone touches or enters your property illegally (gens/basement) you can easily find the pesky intruders and use your right to bear arms to successfully defend your property.

    Pesky genrushers touching your gens.

Not anymore when your 100lb prime texas meat comes at them wafting a huge chainsaw powered of nothing but pure murica fuel.

If you want to take this a step a further use hangman's trick as your flex to claim hooks as your property.

2nd amendment bubba for when basements matter but you got some gens to protect.

P.s someone probs came up with this before there

Sorry I tried to understand what the build is and how it works, but I didn't XD. Could you please explain me how?

Here's a tip. Stop playing leatherface and your life will improve 10 fold and you won't have to 3 gen, tunnel, or camp. Don't play one of the easiest killers to go against and then complain about how he gets stomped unless you play like a dick. Camping basement as leatherface is a ######### tactic that only killers with no skill use to make up for lack of skill to chase anybody.

You clearly didn't watch the video, this is not "oh I just stay on the basement and camp" you must go somewhere else

    @greekfire774 said:

And on top of that, dealing with your basement camp isn't hard for good players regardless of your perks. Simple, get one person to step into the basement and then sprint out with somebody either in a locker upstairs or outside the shack waiting for you to come out looking. A. Your perk is on cooldown. B. You're definitely going to go and look for those scratch marks Everytime. C. Easy basement save Everytime.

    Could you explain this better?

I’ll never understand why people try to make arbitrary rules that must be followed or you will be shamed and ridiculed. If I want to take in Deathslinger and keep everyone on the ground till you all bleed to death, then I will. If you wanna use NOED, do it. Holy cow, take your rule book and choke on it, this isn’t about having fun with the other side, because whenever someone tries, they just get harassed and attacked. The problem is that, when slugging is needed for the win, survivors just break one of the best tools the killer has to win. Any killer other than Nurse or spirit can't play the fun way where he downs someone and completely leaves the guy on the hook, it's not possible.

Just delete the shrine and let everyone choose the perks he needs for a specific build

  • The problem is that people that have played dbd for a really long time and bought the first dlcs a really long time ago don't realise how how much money a new player has to pay in order to get everything

  • @Hi_Hello_Gooday said:

Licensed DLC Characters are locked behind paywalls and this is fine since stronger alternatives are available through purchase with in game shards for killers and survivors themselves are essentially just skins. The real problem at play here is those characters perks. Decisive strike is a full 60 seconds of invulnerability for any survivor off of a hook, locked behind at least a 5 dollar paywall. Barbecue and Chili doubles the speed at which you can level up characters and is one of the best information perks in the game, locked behind at least a 5 dollar paywall. Save The Best For Last Demogorgen's best perk, locked behind at least a 5 dollar paywall. Surveillance a huge bonus for any Pyramid Head player, locked behind at least a 5 dollar paywall. Make your choice one of the best perk additions for the Wraith and Freddy, locked behind at least a 5 dollar paywall. Of course you can win without any of these perks but that's not the issue, no pay to win game lets you buy automatic wins, they let you buy advantages which these perks clearly are. Now you may say that the shrine of secrets is the answer to my problem but it is nothing but a faulty bandage on a gaping wound. Decisive Strike has shown up 11 times on the shrine, Barbecue and Chili has shown up 4 times, Save The Best For Last 10, Surveillance 4, Make Your Choice 5, and I wont go on to mention how some of the DLC perks from as old as Demogorgen haven't even been listed in the shrine yet. You ask players who do not wish to pay for killers or survivors they don't want to wait for an unlisted amount of time till their perks are purchasable with shards, this is the same thing Battlefront 2 did. Make players grind for months for the chance to get the more powerful tools while others can just pay to get it immediately. All perks should be purchasable for Iridescent Shards and shouldn't be locked behind a pay/wait wall.

This is actually a really big problem, even if I love dbd as a game this is unalienable, who knows how long people that just bought the game will have to pay inorder to get all the shrine perks

Look 3 gens cannot be allowed to pop at around the same time, as a killer AT BEST you can engage with two of these survivors, that's still 2 pops every chase. The current rate is unacceptable when survivors split up.

    of course it's unacceptable

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Gens should be a co operative effort, too many games as a survivor I complete 3 gens with little to no hassle by myself alone. Generators are not at all hard to find and 99% of the time you spawn in with a gen in your face.

It should take 95 seconds for a solo survivor to repair a generator, then 80 seconds for 2 and then 65 seconds for 3.

That would fix the problem, sure, but many people say it would be boring. And it would actually, but the problem is that, as for deathslinger, spirit and nurse, what we define as fun is relative, so I don't know whether this would be a good solution. Btw 2 survivors on a gen should be much faster, like 95/2: 47,5 seconds, so survivors have an incentive to stay close together

1 … 25 26 27 28 29 … 36
