I rarely notice any issues with a ping as high as 120... mine is usually around 40-50, but I've played on 120-140 without issue...
-
And that's why I run Corrupt, Pop and a slowdown add-on on Freddy 😎
-
I personally find Ruin and Undying boring and annoying and I don't even use it as a killer.
-
P3-50 -
Killer: Trapper, Wraith, Myers, Freddy, Pig, Spirit, Huntress, Legion, Nurse, Demogorgon, and Hag.
Survivor: Dwight, Meg, Claudette, Jake, Nea, Kate, Ace, Adam, Bill, Laurie, Zarina, Feng.
Almost P3-50 - Felix and Elodie.
If I remember everyone off the top of my head correctly.
-
I rarely used moris to begin with, less after their first nerf, certainly not now, might as well ignore the kill challenges and dailies and just get the extra hooking points. 🤷
-
I agree. Survivors will complain about being chased and then complain about not being chased 🤣
-
"Moris needed nerfed?" You mean, again... moris were nerfed once already because people complained... now they're practically pointless.
-
Personally, I think moris should just back to how they were originally... then people can complain about moris... when you died without a hook first... I feel moris are practically useless now. Fortunately, I got the kill everyone by your hand in one match achievement when moris were much more viable than now.
-
Yea, I like the complete 180 they did regarding exclusives... let's get rid of exclusives, but let's also add more! lmao
-
What Freddy changes?
-
I'm sure there will be an update in the near future that adjusts some of the new killer's stuff, there always is.
-
I never had issues on the old Ormond as killer, but I love the gfx update version 😁
-
I prefer pallets myself, they're easier to place during a chase. Perhaps if Freddy is teleporting to a generator a difficult skill check (slightly smaller than DS one) could pop up, if it's a hit, it stops his teleport, if it's missed, it doesn't... and make the skill check zone random so it's not predictable.
The problem with Freddy and his lore is that in the dream world, he has all the power, it's his world. Period.
-
I've never used Ruin, don't use Undying or Tinkerer... I run BBQ, Corrupt, Pop, and Brutal. How killers don't manage without using Ruin, Undying, etc. is beyond me and I play at red ranks too.
-
I nominated them for the award and don't regret it. :)

I only prefer old Freddy because I loved the wall hacks 😂 hated the putting people to sleep part. I think they way he is fits his character more but I really don't like how much he has its just too much.
That was nice, but I hardly ever used it really. I don't think he needed everything they gave him, the only real problem he had was the inability to do anything for a few seconds after finding a survivor and all the abusive things that they came with that original power.
@WaveyTrey said:
Freddy is broken because his power works in reverse. As in putting you to sleep when he hits you. Freddy rework should be:
Everyone starts off asleep, and in the nightmare at the beginning of the trial.
Only players that are awake can wake up sleeping players.
Sleeping players are affected by Freddy’s add ons and dream powers.
The pain from Freddy striking a survivor wakes the character up from the dream as opposed to the pain somehow putting them into the dream.
Awakened characters will see Freddy phasing in and out intermediately even during a chase.
Bursting gens on purpose wakes the character up.
Each time a character wakes up the timer in which it takes to fall back asleep becomes shorter until all you do is fall back asleep immediately after being woken up. (Because that’s what happens when you are completely deprived of sleep).
Meaning the more you constantly wake up due to failing skill checks or being struck by Freddy... The quicker you are back to sleep. The more often you fall asleep and stay asleep. The more susceptible you are to Freddy. This would also balance Freddy’s OP use of Oblivious for when he strikes someone to make BT useless. I feel that this is his strongest attribute.
Well, one has to remember that in the movies, people slowly fall asleep or lose their ability to stay awake, so they drift in and out of the dream world, which is kinda how they manage to explain his new power in DBD, with survivors drifting in and out of sleep, Freddy can technically affect you physically.
They have an add-on that starts survivors asleep, but it's kinda meh, imo. Freddy isn't the only one who can negate BT, a cloaked Wraith can, a killer with Insidious, or any perk that affects the heartbeat, since BT is based on heartbeat, not physical distance from the hook.

Or just slug em! Your under no obligation to avoid people being unhooked sloppily, and DS doesn't change that!
Even if they have unbreakable a slug is still good pressure, though I admit the interaction between DS and unbreakable is not ideal and perhaps making it so you can only use one or the other (perhaps classify them plus other 'get out of jail' perks as 'heroic' perks where if you use one they all disable) would be ideal. If your in a position to eat a DS your USUALLY in a position to slug and then go after the rescuer, which lets you pressure 3 survivors at once usually (The person you chase, the person you slugged, the person who needs to pick up the slug). Your basically forcing someone else to pick up that survivor FOR you, and if you can 'corral' the rescuer well you can keep the chase around the person you suspect has DS to make it unrealistic for them to get revived.
DS doesn't actually stop you from properly capitalizing on a sloppy rescue. What it does is reduce the reward from 'game ending' to 'still pretty darn good.'
Also I can't believe I am defending DS but hey they managed to turn that perk around HARD from being an awful bit of garbage that totally inverts the power structure of the game to a pretty fair perk that killers have a lot of power to turn into a nothingburger. Its almost the survivor equivalent of a hex totem in that you can very easily nullify that perk slot now at the cost of a very minor time penalty, its real neat.
Obviously DS is really annoying when it hits, and it compounds OTHER problems in the game like exit gate teabagging, but it itself is actually a relatively healthy mechanic now. I will champion killer playability issues all day every day, I saw the DARK TIMES and I know what killer mains are up against morale wise. But this ain't it.
Fortunately, I run into DS issues only once in a blue moon, and I never resort to slugging to avoid DS, because I don't immediately go for the unhooked survivor, as I've usually already started a chase with someone else or am in the midst of a chase, so I rarely run into an instance when I find the same person again within 60 seconds. 🤷
-
Never used the combo, never plan on it, as I've never needed it

Imma stop you there. I was a Freddy main before he got reworked. Winning with that version took skill and all the other things you just listed. Current Freddy gets a lot of stuff for free. He's the lowest skill killer in this game. He has the highest kill rate for a reason.
So was I, and I personally hated his original mechanic for putting people to sleep, it didn't fit lore at all, and it was next to impossible to get any last minute hits because you had to wait for them to fall asleep.
Eh, I'd say a few other killers take the title of lowest skill... I'd say, I've had easier games as Trapper or Wraith, than Freddy... and Trapper requires a lot of end-game prep work with traps.
-
All of these killers trying to think of ways to avoid DS... don't immediately go after the person who just got unhooked, if you can't avoid them for 60 seconds then what are you doing?
-
You'll get more killers more often when playing killer doesn't feel like a chore to play anymore compared to survivors.
-
I hate that people say he's low skill, perhaps when compared to Spirit, or Nurse... but otherwise saying he's low skill is eh... Freddy requires a lot of macro level skill, ie - map knowledge, survivor pathing, mind gaming. I think most survivors confuse mechanical skill as the only skill in the game which is why they undervalue stealth and overvalue big spins 💁
-
Imagine how you would've felt at the beginning of the game, when moris didn't require even hooking someone 😎
While many perks and abilities exist to kill survivors, moris I feel are fine to keep, after all, there's challenges that require you to kill survivors, daily rituals, and even achievements... so, having a mori increases those odds of completion.
I feel people who have the most issue with moris are relatively new to the game, and only complain about them now... never have I seen as much complaining as I have in the last year or so... 🤷
-
"Too easy" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I can't
-
Even as a veteran killer, I feel bloodlust is still woefully necessary 🤷
-
I know I was less inclined to play killer during this "test."
-
Survivors telling killers to adapt without bloodlust, while at the same time complaining about not having enough safe pallets, loops, etc. 🙄
-
I used to play killer 70% of the time when the game was newish, now it's the reverse, I play survivor about 70% of the time because it's less nerve-wracking, etc.
-
I've pretty much stopped playing killer during this test... having chases last longer than they should because a survivor is at a safe vaulting spot due to crap RNG... nope.
So, I've been playing survivor a lot more... as it's easier, far more relaxing, and magnitudes less pressure to do well.
-
I personally saw nothing wrong with the mechanic and even as a red rank killer, I've hit tier 3 BL a few times...
-
Yea, I've refrained from playing killer unless I have to because of the disabling of bloodlust.
-

Oh man you almost got me! Tomorrow, make a suggestion that moris shouldnt require hooks to be used, which seems equally broken :D
They used to be like that 😎
-
My games have been absolutely great since dedicated servers, when it was p2p, it was horrendous, especially when people used VPNs and crap to play people thousands of miles away...
As for bugs, that's the nature of programming... and if you expect anything to ever be 100% bug free, I've got bad news for you...
I, personally, don't like how competitive this game has become and is becoming more of. It was a lot more fun back in the days when you could just play and felt good about it, instead of micromanaging every match, etc.
-
I run Brutal and Pop, so breaking a generator isn't that time consuming. Hell, I've done it mid-chase lol
-
Ah, demeaning opinions because a player uses perks you don't like... 🙄
If you can't get a down before one gen pops, you need to adjust your strategy... I run Corrupt and easily get at least 1 hook before a gen is done, maybe 2 if I'm really lucky.
-
Eh, the graphics update was kinda needed, it was already looking dated in early 2017... they've tried countless things to stop camping, tunneling, etc. and survivors found ways to abuse all of them.
Even then, camping is considered a viable strategy, especially if the killer knows it will likely pay off also survivors hate that they may actually die because of it, tunneling is just another thing made up because survivors found it unfair that they couldn't get a free second chance, so "tunneling" was born. Slugging again, is to counter all the crap survivors have to get second chances, like DS, and if you intentionally run at the killer to bait your DS and they slug you, that's your fault. Not theirs for countering your bait attempt.
-
The passive sleep thing fits his lore more than his hit to sleep mechanic does, or even his old power of putting people to sleep.
I personally use fake pallets over snares, placing pallets during a chase is far easier and less fine tuned than a snare.
-
I personally hate these kinds of rewards because it doesn't take into account people's real lives... most people are still working, or have things to do than plaster themselves in front of a computer screen all day waiting through and entire stream... 🙄
-
I don't use exhaustion perks as a survivor, so they don't bother me, nor do I have an issue with them. From what I can see, the only survivors that really have a huge issue with them are survivors that do use such perks.
-
I play on PC, so I've not had the glitch you've had. However, to say survivors have nothing is kinda eh, survivors have windows, pallets, various perks, etc. that give survivors not one, but many chances.
As for the DC penalty, I agree, until they can discount genuine DCs from "I'm mad because..." DCs, they shouldn't have it. Which they should be able to do most of the time, since you have to hit "Leave Match" to leave the match intentionally in most cases.
-
I find myself doing rather well as a killer, but I main Freddy, easily one of the best map control killers, imo.
I run with Brutal, BBQ, Pop, and Corrupt. Usually using Swing Chains and Paint Thinner as add-ons. Very few matches end with all gens being done, and at most a single hatch escape.
-
Looping has always bored me to tears. One reason I stopped being a killer main and play survivor 90% of the time now.
-
The key to playing killer or even survivor is best if playing both sides, because you know how the other side thinks most of the time. So as a killer, you can easily predict survivors and vice versa.
Of course, I've never used Ruin, etc. so I've never had to manage gens and totems at the same time.
-
Not usually, some dlc perks appear in the shrine shortly after that dlc's release... even then, do you propose perkless licensed characters?
-
Well, that's the nature of licensed characters, you gotta pay to use them in your game, so they gotta sell them to get the money for them.
All of the licenses killer's and survivor's perks can be acquired from the shrine, if you really can't afford to pay for the DLC.
-
What's funny is that they won't ban for streamsniping, even though that's literally cheating and even Twitch (for example) will ban people from their platform for that.

U can use it at last hook to avoid ds, for example or to do a mission, for the animation or to avoid a premade saving someone in endgame, i did mori before like this without hooking at first hook
I personally wish mori's were like release, where you could use it without any prerequisite 🙄
-
If they nerf moris anymore they'll become useless, might as well hook someone if they're on death hook 🤣
-
I was all for the Billy changes, too many times do I have my ass rode by a Billy who then just mows my ass down... personally, I'd rather go against a Spirit, at least she doesn't instadown as a basekit.
I don't care for the Leatherface buff... he was already annoying to go against...
The auras I will agree with, I hate them, especially as a killer, it's hard to see using BBQ, etc.
-
I don't play enough of them often enough despite prestiging them, but my best killer as of late is Freddy, although I'm fairly decent with Legion.
