The chainsaw is awful. Without high tier add ons you can be right on a survivors butt, rev the chainsaw, and have allowed the survivor enough distance that the chainsaw won’t hit them at all

Yeah it sucks, that's why I only use it in open spaces. even if I think I have a chance to get them on gyms and stuff I'd rather use it in open spaces or just rev it/use it where I wouldn't like for mindgames.

I love bubba, he was the first killer I mained before Spirit while I was new af. I had a lot of rank 20 4ks with him lmfao. I want to try running territorial with him.

  • @TreemanXD

Am I looking at Japanese porn or a salt screenshot on the top?

I think all my best instances of salt are when a killer gets so mad at me and likely everyone else on my team that they send us messages complaining about us being a swf (I havent played swf in like 2 months now, maybe 3). Or when I play killer it's when people who tried being toxic for the sake of helping their friend they're boosting get mad at me for killing the newbie first. Which I always do, because it makes me laugh knowing that the team probably feels bad for their weakest link dying when they meant to protect them and make them laugh by bullying the killer.

  • I just re-read this and noticed you said within 10 seconds someone DCd but then go on to mention having a Jake, Claudette and Meg in your game. THIS STORY NEEDS JUSTICE TOO

  • If someone is doing a gen in an unsafe spot while the killer is busy. Or the killer is chasing the crap out of someone and you want to be a distraction then start trying to sabo a hook where they can see you and sometimes they will ignore the person to try and mess with you instead?

I've only sabo'd a hook once to see what it was like. *Shrugs* But those are what I'd use it for if I decided to use it again.

    Tactics.

Some Killers pretend to be friendly and then they screw them over.

You might feel it's bullshit that you got tricked, but...y'know...don't trust a character who's main goal is in their title, and don't trust characters whose main goal is in their names.

This happened to me A LOT. Now I never farm with a killer unless they prove in game they're not trying to harm me. *Like letting someone wiggle out or letting people heal*.

I've also seen a killer pretnd to be a farming bot then slap us with noed at the end of the game and go straight for kills. They purposely stood by 3 or 4 close hooks on the freddy map too. But I personally didnt see them move there but end game showed us why they were there farming. So now I never mess with farm bot motions.

  • Why was the first thread closed? Is bhvr scared of boycotting the new killer or what did I miss?

  • *Cardiac Arrest*

    *Stroke*

We need to make a courtroom for these types of players. There has to be JUSTICE

  • Spirit. For educational purposes.

I just joined dbd in December 2018 and I have basic knowledge in chases and what not. My rank is basically around 10-12 skillwise and I find that besides watching videos where I can actually understand why the player plays a certain way as survivor/killer. Playing spirit has taught me a lot about it too and I am way above my survivor rank when I play as her. I seem to mind game with the best of them when I play as her. The ONLY other killers I've touched besides her are Cannibal, Wraith, Huntress, Clown, Doctor and Billy (without addons) for each of them (Painful Ik but I got into spirit while she was new).

  • I try regardless. If I end up in a 1v1 match, I've never had the fortune of being allowed to live, usually the killer won't even let me do a gen they just want to move onto the next game. Sometimes I tap the gen in hopes the killer will destroy it and farm points from there but they just don't get it or don't want to. I figure its faster than downing and letting me wiggle or slapping and letting me recover. NOTE TO KILLERS: DRIBBLING PEOPLE INCREASES THEIR WIGGLE METER SO IF YOU WANT A SURVIVOR TO WIGGLE OUT YOUR GRASP FASTER JUST DRIBBLE THEM. (I've had a lot of killers let me wiggle out their grasp but no one except my friends have dribbled me)

2v1 I still try, I've had a couple wins in 2v1. Always gotta hope the other survivor is willing to try like you.

3v1, so long as my other teammates try, its fine too.

Survivors now have to work hard and compete with each other for the limited points available. This is as it should be - As a Killer i have noticed less braindead altruistic behavior than previously, which is fine because survivors are not a team, they are four individuals with the same goal. But nobody wants to hear that.

But if it makes you feel any better, pipping is just as hard for Killers now. Moreso, even; i black pip more often than not and have sat at rank 10-11 since the emblem changes, steadily climbing as i adjust my playstyle to the new emblem system.

@BigBlackMori Why "should" survivors have to compete with one another? This new ranking system is obviously made to handicap SWF further but doing that only helps to slow down the matchmaking system by unbalancing swf ranks and make the game much harder for individuals, and give swf or selfish players in general more reason to farm off of individuals. I don't think survivor needs to be team oriented, but it shouldn't be survivors competing against each other with such limited time in a match and killers who could possibly treat certain individuals as their main target over being a good player or just being obsession.

  • Whatever eats flesh and causes boils. Or I can just assume whatever she had they tried to cleanse with fire or boiled water and that didnt work. Since puking is her power I think she has a virus though.

  • Her forearms are freakishly large. Those hands look beefy too.

They gave her the back form of a skinny chick and the front form of a chubby with the legs of a thicc chick.

  • Mom seems ok to me. I think it could be worse than DS if too many people run it because personally I find the side effect of it revealing your aura if you heal more than 16m from the killer to be insignificant.

Buckle up and flip flop seem dangerous to killers though imo. Not meta.

I think his perks are good because they're trying to buff killers and make it so killers have more control over the game than survivors, but these are like healthy second chance perks.

@Kurisataru I don't remember what rank I was last time I used it. With rank reset, it's so up and down. I was probably somewhere between rank 15 and 8, though. I think I'd given up on it by the time I reached rank 4.

@TragicSolitude Ah I feel you, I'm going to assume because this is my experience. Where some SWF mustve used you as a pawn for themselves and ignored your kindred. I get that issue with or without kindred though sometimes, it seems less rare on PC than it was for me on PS4 though. PS4 I was getting pawned like hell.

  • The only ways survivors have to counter the Legion are easily blocked by the Legion.

    1. Fake behind him during vaults; Legion who knows that's a trick can just look behind him after every vault.
    2. Don't heal against him because that wastes time, stick to gens; Legions can just hit them out of frenzy at a right time: Like at a bad loop, or while they try to rescue someone from a hook, etc, it is far easier to find the survivor with tracking perks/add-ons too so they can know who's the smart player that knows not to heal/waste time and make them a tunnel target if they wanted to.
    3. Break LOS; I have yet to see a Legion that doesn't find someone eventually. They usually have trackers and the mobility/low view to find people who are immersive even. I've seen legions with Stridor a good bunch.

I like Legions abilities, but something has to be done about it. There's a reason why he can get so many DCs just from appearing from the fog. Legions are stereo typically a bunch of 4k obsessed monkeys who can't take time in a game unless they're forcing survivors to be their farming pawns.

If I ever played Legion, I'd just use Bloody Partys and hopefully don't get DCs while I farm people which a lot of them do.

  • I actually posted somewhere before where I was saying I think most people who use clown use him wrong. They throw his bottles to block paths instead of blocking where survivors can start loops before catching up to them. That simple difference is enough to show me an amateur clown vs a smart ass clown that uses him for what he was made for. Also some clowns only start throwing bottles after they've gotten super close and the heart beat is intense instead of before the heartbeat goes wicked hard. You don't want the survivors to anticipate you throwing a bottle and get multiple ideas at once. I have lithe as my main exhaustion too so if someone's not a smart clown, good luck not losing me or getting me in a cloud. Sucks to be a clown against sprint burst and lithe, probably even balanced if you don't use the bottles right.

  • Billys don't seem OP to me, I get why people say he's a high tier killer and a serious threat but. Compared to Spirit and Nurse and a sweaty built well-played Legion. I think Billys are far easier to gen rush.

  • 9/10 Freddys I played against used overcharge. I have yet to not get a 4man escape against a freddy and I'm not even red rank. I dunno what kind of survivors you guys go against where that works.

  • We need to boycott how weak she is. And I'm saying this from a survivor main perspective. I only heal against a Plague once in the entire match and if anything, I will try to bodyblock her puke if she's trying to puke on someone next to me. I think she's interesting and fun but she's weak I feel the same about Freddy.

  • @Mushwin said:

Body blocking isn't bannable or should be reported, but holding the game hostage is...

@Mushwin Holding the game hostage isn't when the exit gates are open and people refuse to leave and just bug the killer?

@Arachne So long as she left one person up doing gens I don't even think she was holding the game hostage, just being a taunting killer. It's allowed, don't let it get to you some killers have their fun by being twats like some survivors do.

    That was tasteful, lmao

  • I'm still kinda new to this game Hexyl, but I'm experienced enough to understand most of what you're addressing and agree with sadly many if not most of them. Hope you find out when the game gets balanced and return if you still like it.

  • @MhhBurgers said:

Can anybody post the "killer main btw" meme?

Also there is no aim assist, the only "aim" assist that killers have is the lunge automatically connecting to survivors that are within the hitbox, without this the game would be unplayable due to the unnatural acceleration of survivors during 360s.

Aim Assist does exist as you've obviously contradicted yourself by stating. And 360s only work with dumb killers. The hell are you talking about? The ONLY way for a 360 to work with the way the EXISTING AUTO AIM works is for the killer to be mindfucked by exactly where you are and end up swinging too far away impulsively or just madly swinging without paying attention to the survivor's distance. Why do you think it's easier to 360 a legion? Because many of them are impulsive and try to end the chase too fast without paying attention to distance. They'll swing straight literally after you've ran left then turn left by swinging left, there is no "unnatural acceleration" 360 causing it to work. 360s should only be used as a last resort in a chase, that's how underpowered they are.

  • @drunky26 said:

"JuSt ClEaNse ThE tOtEmS" isn't a proper counter because first you have to find all 5 totems and cleanse them which does take time.

And I don't really want to waste my time finding and destroying them because the killer might not even use the perk.

Only bad killers will defend it and say it's balanced "just destroy the totems haha".

It's a crutch perk for bad killers. I've seen so many bad killers get undeserved 4k, it feels the worst when you loop the killer for a while, you outmindgame him, you're clearly better than him and then he literally sh*ts on you with his little crutch perk.

Just get rid of it, devs. Thx.

Adding onto this, hex totems for most maps spawn at predictable locations, if dull totems are cleansed but NOT all 5, then the NOED will spawn at a random place instead of where it should predictably spawn. If I cleanse dull totems, I'm only cleansing the ones where it will be inconvenient for me to try finding NOED. And not enough survivors know about this crap.

The only option other than Selectfully cleansing totems is being gud/lucky

When I use Kindred, I'm way, way more likely to die on my first hook. If I don't use Kindred, I get rescued. I don't know what it is, but that perk is cursed. It has the opposite effect of what you'd expect.

What rank are you? I use kindred while stuck in the freaking low ranks since I switched over to PC at the time of rank changes and sometimes my team becomes over altruistic, but usually they just keep on gens until they think it's safe to save me. I love to keep it on because I keep facing a lot of trappers lately who are actually really good for their rank assuming they're not in the same boat as me and low rank killers camp like its a religion.

Wait... Your girlfriend cried because of dbd? Maybe that's a sign she shouldn't play this game. Honestly if you and your girlfriend want to have fun times with little to no frustration you shouldn't bother with competitive pvp games at all. Borderlands 3 is coming and will probably have an incredibly fun offline coop mode just like the previous games.

Wait wait wait. Listen to him behind the cryboi writing. He said he doesnt like to play with survivors below red ranks because they do nothing but hide and do nothing (Preach op) and he's not looking specifically for rush teammates just good ones. He also said its hard to stay in red ranks now where he and his gf belong, and even when he plays killer he goes against survivors that are below the rank of survivors he should be playing against. (Read this all in the first paragraph). Then he goes onto complain how can he rank up to his reds when there's nothing but nurses and everything he does gets him killed because he cannot rely on his teammates.

I am with you Francis, this is ridiculous. Tru3 made a video recently about how he thinks ranks should be changed and I actually agree with it.

  • I don't mind the idea of other legion cosmetics standing around being like spies from the shadows but i think the whole idea is too much. Like base speeds and abilities. I think I'd rather just see them as little Maurices and they can make their own unique sounds constantly. Like Julie can be cackling under her breath, Joey can ask you where you're going or whistle, Susie could be heard kicking her foot and breathing heavy to calm down like she's nervous behind her mask. I just imagine the game having to change so much or the devs thinking so far out the box that newer killers become to foreign compared to older ones if we mess with the legions and make them more than cosmetics.

  • The keys are totally obvious now guise. I checked for less than 10 seconds. Frakign scripp kiddiwees these days hackin the eac bypass with their no hackin skiplls using a trainer to open the darkn hatch.

Sorry op I couldn't help it, you gave me a good reason to have fun typing stupid. I agree with the others though. I think they had the key and it's not that easy to spot.

  • I was wondering why this thread has 69 new responses and wanted to see what could possibly cause such a long discussion for a simple topic. But instead all I see is a sensitive killer main causing drama because he values himself and his opinions on this forum (to the point where he thinks we all see whatever value he sees in himself) so much he thinks he has a mission to harass the community on a freaking small topic.

Grow up Wolf, you take yourself way too seriously.

  • It's not op, it's just trying not to punish solo players while they're trying to counter the strength of SWF and face campers. Besides, unless kindred is able to make players teleport away from the hook and over to a safe location where the killer can never track them back, it's not even a meta perk. I am happy I started running kindred at a good time, I forgot this update was even a thing and I was getting mad at my bloodweb not dropping a tier 3.

  • It's so annoying, that's not fair. You can fall from a tiny little area of stairs or rock and they yell all extra loud. That's the devs trying to make the game more tense and dramatic for us to be more engaging in horror or whatever. Because they're not the ones who freaking play this game regularly and know what should and shouldn't be in the game, and anyone who does test this game for them is obviously nothing more than a yes-man.

I love it when people call 115% movement speed killers slow. It's like they just come up with things without doing research just to have the argument. Heard someone call the plague slow too. lmao

When you can't get more than 2 kills from tunneling people instead of gitting gud and being gen rushed and SWF/DS/P3 Claudette has been complained about enough.

    115% speedd to slou3

Finishing what @Incirion said, I believe the smartest clowns are not the ones who aim the bottles in a path for you to follow, they get easy to predict and avoid in some areas. The smartest ones are the ones who block loops before they get close enough to initiate a chase. You can't last very long in a chase with those clowns and unfortunately they're rarer than coming across a clown to begin with!

Just when you're close enough for the survivor to hear your terror radius but not close enough for it to be loud/fast/obnoxious, just throw a bottle where they have the best advantage in starting a loop while you're going towards them and by the time you get near enough for them to get off a gen/totem/stealth/wandering-about, they either have to take the loop from a risky side first or go through the cloud you made for the better side, either way the chase just lost a few seconds or minutes (regardless of your skill level imo.)

  • After you break a palette or hop a window, if you feel blocked from movement for a little while then a survivor is crouching and trying to run behind you, don't be scared to look behind you and down after vaulting or palette breaking. To avoid being 360'd you just try not to do a long lunge at em. That's usually where I start laughing hysterically in videos like that, when the killers try to do a long lunge while some one is back-to-belly with them doing 360s. Also, listen for footsteps/breathing/crying/lockers/rustling folliage. The louder your audio, the better. And hopefully you use headphones so you can hear which direction it's coming from. Also, sadly now survivors make yelling noises when they fall from high areas so you can hear where they did it if they did it nearby, listen to what direction that's coming from and you'll have an idea on where they fell from.

  • Shout out to all the sweaty plagues who try to fool players into touching dull totems like this.

  • Nothing like turning on DBD and seeing the spirit's butt on your menu screen.

  • I wish I could do this, but I'm a terrible writer. It's very exciting though but if I did this, it would be cringey, and the environment wouldnt be detailed enough to make sense because I dunno how to envision an environment for the story I do have in mind. Hope to see some serious responses to this though.

  • @thesuicidefox said:

Legion. Free hits. No cooldown on missed swings allows spam at no cost. Bypasses survivor's only tools for avoiding a hit (pallet/windows). Farm emblems/BP like crazy. Free anti-stealth. Easy to cheese a chase by moonwalking/following blood.

Not to mention the fact his lunge makes him faster while in frenzy which is annoying. I think Legion takes a brain dead monkey so long has he has the right add ons/perks. If the amount of disconnects he can get simply for being seen in a game doesn't speak loud enough, I dunno what people who disagree with legion are thinking.

  • @serabeth90 said:

I don’t disagree with you that this is annoying, but the obvious response here is to play with a SWF group that you trust. There are several DBD communities out there you can join where you can meet and queue with other players that you have chosen to play with.

Otherwise...yes it sucks when people are bad but you can’t control other people. They’re going to do what they are going to do. Hiding is something you should expect in a game like this, despite the fact that it’s rarely a good strategy.

Yeah, I'm about to start on that asap, it's getting less and less funny and you're right.

  • The devs literally only made this perk because they wanted to "create dramatic survival moments" with the lockers. They don't care if it's useful, they just wanted to see if they can make the game feel more tense and dramatic. I think it's garbage and I hide in lockers a good amount.

  • @Divinitye9 said:

Truthfully, the younger generation probably has absolutely no idea who that is unless they follow horror closely.

Besides, we already have a vomiting killer now.

She was a meme, I think the younger generation who plays dbd would know who she is.

I think she would be a cool killer op. If anything I feel like the movie wasn't religious. I watched it as a kid and I remember laughing because she had such a potty mouth and was puking on the adults. She was basically just a bad kid who looked like she fell in a meat grater and the priests were confused af. The whole possession thing was whatever, could easily be switched to, her hatred for salvation from her curse was so strong the entity took her or whatever. I bet in game she would yell like a moron and have really stupid movement. Probably be bed bound and the bed floats around like the nurse and she can puke.....from her bed....DANG IT DBD WHY DID YOU GUYS MAKE A PUKE KILLER ALREADY!!

  • Don't use it ever. It just doesn't suit my playstyle, I'd sooner search a chest or check where someone got sacraficed if I *need* to heal myself. Thinking of putting windows of opportunity on my build in hopes it'll help me learn some areas better because I don't want to try using self care when it's so darn slow. Especially when killers love their sloppy butcher. Also I just run with a medkit and search chests for toolboxes or vice versa.

  • I would like to know when someone uses a salt pouch or jar of salty lips as survivor or killer. Offerings are perfectly fine as they are. If its a mori it's hidden, if survivors are gonna start together, you know it. It is what it is. How will this affect the gameplay?

  • I think they can add another stealth perk where every time a generator nearby is kicked, your breathing sound goes down and you get a % boost to gen repairs for a few seconds. And that may help stealth survivors who actually do gens if they feel they need a boost against killers who are high tier and or patrol gens well. Especially helps if you end up in a game where like 2 people or 3 people DC.

  • Yeah when I play on ps4 the pallets are good for me unless I have internet issues or the killers a lagswitching dingus, but when I play PC then I get them mroe often, I have FPS issues on PC so OP, if you play on PC and know its not an internet issue it could be that instead.

  • @Poweas said:

Bloodhound and sloppy butcher combo to make sure they can't hide, and use A Nurses Calling and Stridor.

I have a friend who used nurses calling and stridor on his pig. Sadistic bastard.

Sloppy Butcher, Stridor, Nurse, Spirit Fury incase they're good at chases is what I'd change here.

  • I would like to say that it's not true that there is 0 counter play to flashlights, if you cannot avoid it by picking up a survivor facing a wall or something, then just spam to drop the survivor on the floor as soon as you notice someone trying to blind you. Even if they succeed at blinding you the person you dropped is floored so you can get them up again.

Git Gud and quit being rude to people while you're asking for help.

  • I just started running dead hard recently (Still prefer lithe over the other exhaustion perks for my playstyle but I digress) and I usually dead hard at the last chase I get into if I do use it at all because I forget I have it in my build. There's also a ton of times where I forget it only works when you're injured and so I will spam my action button and start cursing at the game being crap and how I'm better off 360'ing then I'll remember it only works when injured and pretty much get myself hit by running somewhere I shouldn't run to because I thought I could get to a better loop using my....inactive dead hard.

I've seen videos where YTs; mainly Tru3 would say something like "this person plays like they have dead hard" and to this day, I don't know what it means but maybe find out and look out for those signs when you're playing killer.
