  • Noed is fun though....

You kind of do. Killers chase survivors. Survivors lead the chase. Choosing where they go is kind of the survivors power on a chase. It's why they can lead to pallets and loops at all.

This isn't 100% meaning they go exactly where they want, but to call it a fallacy is, in itself, a fallacy

What? Do you even mindgame as a killer? Have you not tried leading a chase in a different direction?

Ah the good old SWF exists so solo should suffer paradigm.

Worst argument I've seen you make yet, Wolf. It counts on a survivor by survivor basis not the whole group and that wont change. I'm sorry you have trouble with the new DS dude but you really cant pull that ######### out of your ass when a big problem in this game is solo getting ruined by nerfs to SWF.

I play solo. I dont care lmao

Yes, I agree, even when it comes to new ranking I feel like in an effort to slow down swf progress its affecting me as a solo survivor newish to the game. But new on a another console, lower rank teammates are harder to pip with and making it harder on swf for ranking up isn't fair to new players as a whole. As far as perks go, don't get me started on how much different this game has been for me solo working from rank 20 up going from having leader to losing the point in having it. Prove Thyself? I want to love it, but I have to wear resiliance when I don't even run self care. *Ends rant before it gets into an essay*

Please explain to me again, from a killers perspective, what is wrong about "tunneling"?

Less points, no skill necessary because you don't need to focus on mindgaming and playing smart, then you get so ######### you come to the dbd forums to complain about every survivor needing nerfs if you rely on tunnelling to win.

    @Wolf74 said:

    @Kagrenac

No, dude, you know jack crap about me, because you assume that I "hate survivor", which I don't.

I only "hate" those that are cocky, overconfident and disrespectful and those are the survivor that actually KNOW that they are in the stronger role and can take advantage of it.

You seem to think that other people have to think the same way you do. You are biased and think everyone else has to be the same way.

Some people actually care about BALANCE.

Do you rely on tunneling like a crutch for most killers; even if you use high tier killers? No disrespect, just ask yourself that and maybe just maybe you might understand where op and some of us agree on this topic from a survivor perspective. I don't disagree that survivors run the game, but devs are actually listening and trying to help killers now, and now with these new DS conditions; it really does affect solo survivors who would have to use it against people with Enduring. I never use DS but I do see Enduring and spirit fury a lot. Imagining going against a tunneler with stuff like that while you have no one to at least try and block a tunneling killer because you're no swf and your teammates are all out for themselves and a good amount of survivors farm off each other anyway and will do an unhook safe or not without even trying to bodyblock. DS is no longer a crutch perk so it doesn't need to have a hard counter like enduring.

  • Nea's looks cannot be claimed from my woman crush's attornys. Nea dresses like your average modern alternative girl who got edgy off of alt tumblr trends and anime; and has the face of someone who's losing their looks to drugs and anorexia. Thus looks nothing like mila in this movie. I dunno what you guys are seeing, maybe I'm just an edgelord elitist and I have too much respect for mila to compare her to that saggy faced thing.

  • For me, I couldnt do it till I got better at predicting the killers, to get better at predicting killers I had to learn how to loop and learn how to mindgame as killer.

Takes experience or having a group of friends who know the game better than you who can help.

  • To this day I have not lost a game to a hag. I know they try to chase you towards certain areas if they have some op add-ons so I take advantage of dead hard (if I'm running it) or getting hit to try and outsmart them. Also, I still see some higher rank players do this but they don't crouch to hooked survivors or crouch out unhooked.

Oh I lied, the one time I lost to a hag, they were pretending to be a farm bot, so I helped do all the gens and at end game my dumb self decided to test if they were actually a farm bot and got downed/camped because they had noed. That was hilarious but sad.

That hooverboard comment was hilarious though, I say the same thing. I'm like, here comes the hag on her freaking hoverboard with jetpack add ons, going for the freaking swing.

  • Just stalk them, survivor mains love to see that whole delicious daddy nodding and stalking them. Sometimes I give him a twerk but then I remember a lot of idiot killeer mains can't take teabagging as a fun gesture of any kind and yeah....some daddies don't like twerking. Maybe if I used Jane instead of Dwight....

  • Damn you for not having the survivors' best interests in mind! You shouldve at least let them open the gate so that they can teabag or item drop their worthless offerings of thanks to you just to be called a "good killer". Your loyalty is not to the entity, it is to the fellow players of dead by daylight, to the prey!

I'll get back in a locker now.

@Kurisataru Are you having troubles pipping past 17? I thought they made the higher ranks easier to pip past.

Yeah, I was wondering why I wasn't pipping after a few matches and then I figured out why. Might just have to see which of my pc friends that rarely play this game are ready to toxic swf with me, hopefully they're depipped enough to help. And I'm ashamed to say that but crap, if I don't do it, it will take too much time to pip as survivor without obviously grieving people just to stay on the gens rather than be a chase jocky/campbait or possibly having a killer turn on me for being a d-bag to my teammates. I can understand why people are wanting to quit playing this game over the new ranking system tbh, it sucks being stuck with people you can't depend on. It's like trying to break SWF while at the same time making us depend on it.

  • I just started playing this on pc from ps4. I've only had like 5-10 (I think) pc games on dbd so far and when this new thing came out I was on rank 17 I think. I dunno if I should've pipped by now because I wasn't caring about pipping at first. But no joke, if running the killer into my teammates and farming them is what it will take to get me out of playing with these ranks then i unfortunately will do it. It's tough for me to be a solo survivor with new amigos. I need to get back to my 10-12 survivors. Otherwise I will just switch to killer main for a bit.

Yeah you guys are definately closer than I was. Aramaic is apparently a much newer tongue.

  • Constipated Stride

    Mouth Wash Gurgle

    Upper Body Work-Out Equipment

    Cloak of Sulking

And my favorite add-ons are Wraith's Mixtape to intensify bing bongs and Scratched Out Leaf Village Headband to represent his broken alliance to the leaf village in order to get revenge on his older brother

  • It's fine to complain, it's just not fine when people want to say people need to be banned for their playstyles. I will forever complain about survivors who urban evasion around the edge of the map or urban envisioning and staying hidden everywhere for no good reason. Less aggressive players are a whole darn drag to the team and as much as many of them like to claim they are gen jockeys, I always see the more aggressive players on gens and getting them done far more and efficiently and not running away when the slightest bit of terror radius comes near just to make sure the killer is chasing someone and they can keep gen jockeying.

But would I say ban em? Or Nerf UE and remove the hatch to prevent those buttwipes from winning more games because without UE they're slower thus more likely to get cursed at, and without a hatch they actually have to make up for the time they were wasting? Nope.

  • Would this be a one time deal only? Like the first time you reach that rank you get bonuses, then if you reset or drop and come back up then nothing ever? How does this work?

  • Punishing DCs with a ban is a dumb idea because then you also punish people who quit out of games with grievers/trolls/survivor+killer combos of either and people who got DC'd for internet issues. It's a better idea to punish it with more waiting time or just rewarding the killer if anyone does DC (and only the killer so SWF don't try to farm off the bonus reward system but also not significant enough to make killer+survivor farm friends see it as beneficial to farming).

I also don't like the idea of punishing killers for camping or "proxy camping" with less points for attacking people near the hooked survivor. Their only goal is to kill people any means necessary without cheating. And that's coming from someone who is 1. Currently a survivor main, and 2. has never face camped and only "proxy camps" when I know there's people around to kill. Why punish killers for attacking people trying to save their prey?

  • Nah it's fine. The game is about surviving with or without being a proper team player. Yeah players like that suck and I'd gladly let them die if I see them in another match with me and I don't need them. But it's not fair to remove the hatch because they choose to survive selfishly. It's part of the survival immersion.

I also watched yt videos to confirm this and it sounds like her tongue. They say it is also the language of Jesus. Which makes sense cause babylon is mentioned in the christian/jewish bibles and possibly others.

Don't lie she sway's pretty good and the new thick Survivor is a bonus.

Has for why tunneling is bad with her. Is bad for every killer but it's an outright game Ender when it comes down to her play style. Yes you can leave you in the broken state but if you can throw enough pallets and if she isn't willing to break any just so she can get an easy down she's going to fail every time.

Her sway makes up for her lack of back meat. lol

Tbh now that you mention it, I think that tunnelling as her end game might be a good strat. Especially if she gets the vile purge after a set time has passed without having to use a fountain.

  • Thanks guys!

This is an intended change for al lockers. After they made it so that hiding in them prevents others from seeing your aura, they added this to balance it out. You cannot see auras while inside (aka Blindness effect).

As for those games, if you meant that those Killers found you while you were inside of those lockers, Iron Maiden does not work like that. It notifies the Killer when you exit the locker, not when you enter it. There is no perk that gives you that information other than properly timed aura reading that showed them you going inside the locker.

There is also the fact that if you are infected and go inside the locker, said locker will turn green as if Plague had puked on it. So, that is another thing that could have happened.

...Leaving aside locker hides that wont work because they are predictable.

Locker hides do work! You just gotta not try to end chases too suddenly (mindfk the killeer a couple times first) or avoid a chase near a generator with them if the locker is in such a convenient spot. At least that's my rule. Tbh though I was playing on the plagues map fo the leigon and plagues and those were my first times on her map so I dunno yet till I play killer there which lockers are the most predictable.

  • I actually like the idea of her vomit being able to spread differen't directions and possibly hit multiple survivors at once without her turning so much, I don't even care about how unrealistic it would look. She doesn't seem so scary right now and I rarely cure my sickness against her because I just avoid doing gens with teammates and run resilience.

  • I've never noticed it helping me, but Quick N Quiet has helped me a lot. And my favorite exhaustion perk is Lithe so. Meh, guess they go good together after all.

I've spectated a P3 Claudette on Rank 6 using Quick N Quiet, Urban Evasion, Dance With Me and Lightweight against a myers. It was hysterical watching him get mindboggled over and over. She made it to the hatch while he was all the way on the other side of the map.

Yeah I agree, Jane isn't thicc technically speaking, but you know how it is with hype words, people don't care about the actual meaning, they just use the word for fun. So just to imply she's bigger than thicc we can use 4 C's. ThiCCCC.

So, you're complaining because you made a mistake and because of that you got bodyblocked and downed? That's pretty much entirely your fault, you can't blame the Killer. In literally every game killers are constantly getting body blocked to prevent them from hooking a survivor and there's really no counter to them. All you have to do is not hide in a corner. . .

You need to translate that into salty survivor terms so that op can understand. I can give you my salty survivor dictionary. *Passes over SSD*

  • I feel like right now people are just having too much fun seeing her ability in action that they aren't trying to track properly. I haven't seen a pleg player yet who has noticed me crouching right in front of her freaking face. Not gonna lie though, she may not have an ass, but it's good looking at her from behind. B)

Also, I agree with you on the tunnelling thing but I can't quite put my hands on it yet why that is.

I’ll def do that tbh all I do is focus gens I don’t think too much about improving my gameplay against a killer since I always leave it to my friends to distract the killer while they have me focus gens, but I’ll give you statement a huge try before I go back to MHW to get the platinum

Tell your friends to drop you in Kill Your Friends mode and show you how to start/finish a loop.

  • Seriously, how many many topics are there where this image is literally the only answer you need? It could be my background and my phone case. If DBD had a newsletter, this would need to be on the first page of every issue.

  • P3 clown is rarer to see and he looks so creepy my undies shrivel into a wedgie. Myers looks like a sexy tumblr goth page dream boat in his prestige.

  • I am not sure if your Ricardo Milos meme page will save you from the long, hard sigh I'm ready to unleash on this page.....maybe the shadow clone one will do.

Real talk though, you need to break line of sight from them. All killers are faster with survivors and gain speed as the chase progresses, you...may be a beginner so try watching people play and pay attention to how they move/loop/hide as survivor, and how they play/see as killer.

    *Sighing begins*

  • I will not be forced to play with op add ons, high tier farming killers or people holding the game hostage, or lag switchers because some people want to make DC'ing seem like some ethically wrong thing. I think DCing could use a timer to it though once you're in game. Every game needs at least 2 minutes to DC, just incase someone wants to change their mind about going through with the dc.

  • Is it still possible to crouch to avoid his chainsaw? I haven't played against him in a while but out of all the killers, I've crouched evaded him too many times and its always funny. Legion has to be the second most.

  • Davids. They tend to play like immersive claudettes in my games. I have no clue why.

Cuz you avoid the killer and avoid commiting finishing gens just so you can get the hatch lol

Beat me to it, you forgot to add that they want to be in this thread talking about how their way is equally great because "it's a play preference and no style is better than another". That would be true if they take the game as only being about surviving individually and not as a team, which apparently it is to players like them. I could make an essay of ranting about how many times I've played games where 1-2 gens were left and the game wouldve been long done with at least 3 people alive if they actually did gens and stopped stealthing across the whole map. They're just too busy trying to ensure their own survival to be useful for objectives. They literally break teamwork. For example: If we could all survive with 2 people trying to help the person on their last hook while the hyper immersive player is trusted to finish 1-2 gens and given the time to do so, it sucks that I have too many games where I have to leave the other two and start working on gens because the other dim dim is scared of the terror radius near them. This thread is reminding me that I need to go back to running bond so I can spot these people earlier on and stalk them to work with me if possible.

  • That's not balanced, with this matchmaking putting the same p layers together over and over again, some salty player from a game or few ago can just keep joining and DCing to depip you. On top of that, some people DC when the killer is lag switching or the ping is stupid but they didnt see the ping bar go nuts till the game was just starting. There has to be some other way to tackle this DCing problem. Maybe throw survivors who DC into the broken status when they join the next lobby and if it's a killer then their hex totems spawn in the worst spots. I mean, that's what I wish would happen but I know it wouldn't. I think it's better than just depipping though.

  • I think if killers got compensated, especially if they got compensated handsomely for DC's then more people would be playing Legion, Nurse, Hillbilly and Spirit with their most toxic builds. I think that they should have some kind of calculation using the time the game lasted in minutes and each survivor DC'd. So maybe a 10 minute game ran and 3 peeople DC'd so 30% bonus to all categories. Make it hard for the killer to exploit that system by giving a reasonable time for survivors to survive or DC.

  • I came into this game planning on becoming a killer main, but I have a lot of fun as a survivor. And when I play killer I'm such a softie. Whenever I get impressed by a survivor barely escaping a hit or gettng out of a trap or duping me with the lockers I'm just like *Spam nod of approval while watching them run off into the fog*. If a survivor drops their item in front of me as an offering I'm just like *Walks around item and watches then spam nods of approval as they run into the fog*. If a survivor flashlight clicks and teabags at me when they know they're going to get floored, I'll just run against them without hitting them while *Spam nod of approval*. Lmao I think I need to be a survivor until I am ready to be a sadistic killer. Because I understand that some survivors prefer to have killers who actually take the game seriously and I don't take the game seriously enough to not be a goofball. If I seriously attempt to murder a team, it's only because I'm bored by them being way too cautious and serious.

    https://youtu.be/-OW73F2q_I4?t=640

basically 10:40 in this video describes me as a killer.

  • I remember being a rank 20 killer and there ws someone in my lobby who was rank 17 with 3 higher rank swf and one of them was rank 4 I think. I know it was a single digit. I was so.....trolled.

  • Do you really care about whether or not a streamer understands or believes your reasons for disconnecting or playing some kind of way? Imo most dbd streamers and players in general are pebble brained nimrods and I don't take any insult I get from someone in this community seriously. You shouldn't either DJ, I feel bad for you being matched up with people you don't like or trust but at the end of the day, giving them attention by bringing up this kind of issue that you have the power to make insignificant is doing nothing more than giving them the kind of attention they need to feel important on Dead By Daylight.

I've been swf with a <15year old girl here that used to be sexually harassed by streamers from this community and one was recently arrested, she just ignored them and they made cliques that made fun of her and if they saw her on Rank 1 they would do their best to troll/grieve her into quitting or dying because they wanted her to go on their discord or streams and make comments and keep them feeling like they have some other purpose on DBD. When she ignored them for a while by deranking and sticking to swf so that they can't ruin her solo games they eventually buzzed off and left her alone because she wasn't giving them the attention they craved. I'm sure if some of them see her they will bother her, but she's no longer the target of a witch hunt where people take time out of their day to ruin hers on a game; and you shouldn't allow yourself to be a target either.

@MhhBurgers It’s hard to really execute a Killer who isn’t as unique or powerful as other Killers in the horror movie franchise. I love the idea of Ghostface using lockers.

A good power idea, besides the lockers, could be that when Ghostface hits Survivors, Survivors see other survivors as duplicates of Ghostface. In this scenario, Ghostface can crouch walk like a survivor as a passive.

Or to make it less obvious, they see 1 random survivor as a duplicate of ghostface. Pretty much the only counters for this ability would be Spine Chill and Premonition huh? I would be so happy to see something like that. I think a great way to make this ability work is to make it so ghostface is the same height as survivors and has the same walk or run animation but just faster. Idk, that's a sweet idea though I like that one.

  • Idk a few days ago one of those big youtubers made a no blink nurse video. You know when those youtubers do some crap then you'll see some killers coming in doing some crap.

  • I started off with the cannibal and wraith which was a mega huge mistake. I had a crap ton of swf where some people were deranked on purpose to boost another survivor. I suggest you start off with HillBilly to counter that.

If you play survivor and you are decent at looping/chases, I suggest trying out the spirit at some point.
